So, after reading a comment by CWO on the latest chapter of Empress Rarity's 250th Birthday, me and Autumnschild realized that he was right on the length of the chapter and that it needed to be altered. So, Autumnschild was a champ, last night he showed the chapter no mercy, and by the end of this morning, I had removed 5,000 words that he had recommended to be removed. We believe that the majority of the fluff had been removed, but kept the core elements of the story intact. Thus it should still be entertaining to read, but not a chore and not as dragged out.
In Autumns' words "It's much more streamlined, much faster read, but it still holds the spirit of the original. No fat, all lean all action, all good.

The original Chapter 8 document is present in a GDoc link at the bottom in the author's notes. So if you want to review it and see what was there, you can. there are some things that are missing, yes, and might be revisited later - like AJ being part of Rarity or not.
EDIT: Also, Chapter One is getting a face lift in the introduction.
Interesting... but really, the mark of a good writer.
