Ok that wasn't as bad as the others... then I got further in. Of course Asami is going to be evil because OC paired off with her love interest. *shakes head* How many fics flanderize and butcher a character in order to make their ship work, far far too many. *Glares as the NCIS, Naruto, and HP fandoms*

Girls like Tanho because is the dark and handsome pretty boy, probably the same reason the fangirls go gaga over Amon... well Amon does have the tragic backstory that fans seem to love.

And yeah, the idea lets me get around New 52 (which I haven't read a lot of, although I do have an idea for an Elseworlds where Lian wakes up in the New Universe... and hates it she also has her memories of the old universe, based off that one line of dialogue from Red Hood & the Outlaws #1 where Roy asks Starfire if she remembers the old team which never existed in that continuity).

2330124 A Leadership Conference in Las Vegas? A bit counterproductive for my tastes, but after visiting Bourbon Street for dinner during a Youth Conference, I'm probably not one to talk.
I've heard theories about the Old Universe still existing. It's mostly based off of the fact that Tim Drake has been seen wearing his original costume and hanging around with Booster Gold in advertisements for Future's End. Since his original costume doesn't exist in the New 52, people think it must be the last timeline's Tim Drake. There's also the fact that DC might be planning something big in celebration of CoIE's 30th anniversary....

Sure the story would have sucked more than a vacuum cleaner, but it would still come off more naturally.

Just a cheap way of trying to make a bad OC not look as bad to the naked eye. Luckily, most of us are highly trained to spot bad characters when the appear.

Throw in an adopted sister, and all that drama and awkwardness goes away. Korra now has someone close to her age group that she can relate to and talk out her problems with, so she’s less likely to screw things up or stick her foot in her mouth. And as that’s a big part of Korra’s character arc, it makes her weaker and less like the character I’ve come to enjoy.

Admittedly, this story would have been much stronger if the main character of this story did their own thing. Stay apart of the avatar world, but have her doing other things. Dealing with original villains, meeting other original character and having an original plot. Maybe not a big or as epic as the Legend of Korra, but something that would still be enjoyable. You've already got a character who has an psychological problem (not a good one, but at least she has one). You could build on that. You could build conflict with that. This story had potential.

But I’m just an annoying critic. What do I know about relationships?
