Well, after nearly two years of dodging and playing it safe, I've finally been "blessed" by Grandfather Nurgle's plague. I tested positive for Covid this afternoon.
I'm actually doing pretty well, all things considered. I have a bit of a sore throat and a persistent cough, but the worst passed over the weekend and I think I'm on the mend. Still, makes me feel like a bit of a tool for not keeping my guard up and allowing this to happen, and of course the potential exposure I might have brought to others during the incubation period (my sister, who is five months pregnant mind you, got it a lot worse than I did, but the timing doesn't match up for me to have given it to her). I'll keep pressing along, but best to use me as an abject lesson on why things got as bad as they did in 2020 and 2021.

That's the issue with many viral sickness, they are a bit of a russian roulette on how hard are they going to hit you and there is little to nothing you can do to control that.
Same thing happened to me when I tested positive. Hope you get though it ok.
