Regarding that... unforeseen Mario fic

Yeah... so that happened. I don't know how it came to me. I was running errands down in town and all of a sudden, "Mario Jumps On Tank."

Perfect! It just came out of nowhere, and when I thought through Comedy elements I could use in it while I walked around, I ended up laughing in public. It was too priceless, but a little confusing, and possibly a little creepy.

I saw Tank as a koopa, which is where I got the element to use him. I was thinking for other enemies, but I wasn't getting anything. Tank seemed fine.

I used things from varying Mario games to use here. The koopa shell spinning was taken from the original, as well as the instant death of touch, which took a 3D gaming thing.

The dialogue though, if you're confused about that, came from the Mario & Luigi series, where they sprout random nonsense. I got the two clips from here. Under Mario, 'Gibberish #2' was the first one, and 'Gibberish #1' was the second.

I'm effectively explaining the joke, which defeats the entire purpose. Oh well, just thought I'd clear that up for any confusion.

I'm not a huge fan of Crossovers though. This is quite possibly going to be my only Crossover I'll ever do. I don't know how to really bring together two franchises in one story. Here, it was slapstick and quick, but something like an entire series? Undoable for me. Mario was a good selection because of his popularity, so more people are likely to understand the fic. I've seen a Dust: An Elysian Tail Crossover on here, and I know that's not going to bring in as many viewers as something along the lines of Mario or Sonic. If I ever do another Crossover, it'll be rare. It'll also likely be a one-shot like this one was. Crossovers just aren't my thing. Combining Halo with MLP is weird. I love both, but together... nope. Don't see it. I'd rather take my lesbian horses over that.

This story literally came out of nowhere, and I whipped it up in an hour. It's nothing special, but I like to think I nailed a few Comedy moments, especially for the hardcore Mario players.

I'm sorry you had to read this story. Really, I am. I think I succeeded personally with the Comedy, but still... just what?

I have another one-shot that is full of random, but I'm not posting it yet. I want to wait until another dies down from the feature box, otherwise I look like I just copied someone, which I haven't. I think it should be more successful that this one though, and when you see it, you'll likely know why.

But it's time to get onto the more serious fics. As in, finishing up The Calling Night. It's nearing it's completion, honest. I might post the last two chapters in one go or I might not. The last one is more of an epilogue. But we'll see. I wish it had a little more attention though. RariPie isn't that common anymore... it's a shame. Maybe I could get Donnys Boy or Steel Resolve to personally endorse it.
