Back From Vacation-ing/A New TLC

Yo, everyone!

I have returned from my severe hiatus and vacation outta state. I took the time to relax and really think about a few things, personal and otherwise. But mainly about creativity. Like so, musically and writing in general.

Now firstly, this isn't the beginning of a Goodbye Fan fiction blog post it looks like (The title sure looks that way, huh?) cuz it's not. As long as this site's up, I'll keep posting stories good or bad, jokes funny or stories sad, either way. I've learned a little bit about myself while away. I write the WRONG way.

How I figured that is this? My writing process:

-Coming up with an idea
-Writing a billion drafts
-Initial Publishing
-???

This is usual based on my need to be creative, expressing through words and telling stories is fun and my way of doing that. Now, this happens to either start off with listening to music, focusing on the lyrics, the feeling, and meaning to whatever I happen to be listening to.

But that's just it. I shouldn't need to do that, taking some song, taking the lyrics and trying to make a story out of it, it makes me feel...fake. and I hate that, and no one deserves a crappy story about X based on the lyrics of X. When I first started on this site almost 2 1/2 years or so ago, my first story was called Just A Scratch. It was about the first OC I created based on myself named CD Scratch, yes. The one from that one story I don't like to talk about.

It was pretty much a Vinyl and Octavia have a kid somehow and live in a bad town where Cee gets bullied so they move to Ponyville where he forms a band with the son of, and get this, Trixie and Twilight. Not to mention Spike and that drummer OC I came up with cuz...hey, I needed a drummer.

Back to the matter at hoof though, why am I telling you this? Because since then, it's been a weird progression. I don't think I've ever selected "Completed" under ANY story since freaking How Cruel.

SO. How to deal with this? Simple. I'm just gonna try.

I get scared writing something, especially if it's out of my zone. If it's not music related, sad, or romance-y I freeze up. But I never know until I try, right? No one see's what you write until you publish it, and when you do who knows? Maybe you do wanna read a Pirate fic staring Carrot Top or a second attempt at a VinyxOcty fic. Or whatever pops into my head and want to share with the world.

Anyway...Thank you all again for sticking around. It's hard to believe that you've all followed me from the beginning to now. So I'm gonna pay it back by doing the best I can at shaping words with more words, and putting those into sentences and paragraphs that'll entertain you all to some degree. Cuz TLC is whipping it out on the table now!
