6,000 Followers & Past Sins Printing & Other News · 8:03pm Jul 10th, 2014
You people are awesome, you know that. You are crazy as well. I'll let each individual person decide if they are awesomely crazy or crazily awesome.
Still, just a little while ago I hit 6,000 followers. That blows my mind. I mean, ladies and gentlemen, my hometown of Worland, Wyoming only has 5,000 people in it. Now I have 6,000 following me here on Fimfiction. It's just mind boggling to me. That and, like when I hit 5,000, I'm the first to hit the 6,000 follower milestone here on Fimfiction.
So I just want to say thank you to everyone, and extend a special thanks to The Sexy Assistant for being number 6,000.
I really wanted to have something to celebrate this milestone, and in fact I do have something in the works. Something that I believe will make a lot of people happy. It is a new side-story to Past Sins, currently titled The Road Home, and hopefully I'll be able to start posting it within the next month or so. Unfortunately, work and real life has been really hectic for me so my writing time has been somewhat limited.
So while I, personally, don't have anything new for this occasion, I do have an announcement I want to share. Equestria Publications has started a signup for a second printing of Past Sins. That's right, those of you who missed out on the first edition now have a chance to get in on this second printing. The thing is, the second printing will only happen if enough people sign up. So if you want to get your own, physical copy of Past Sins, head over to Equestria Publications and sign up.
Finally, as the last bit, I wanted to ask a question to everyone. I am a fan and annual participator in Equestria Daily's Summer Achievement List. It tends to help drive my motivation, but this year they have several fan fiction achievements that are aimed more at short stories. I admittedly struggle a bit with writing shorter fiction, and at the same time there's something I've been wanting to try.
So let me ask you this my 6,000 followers. (Again, thank you all for helping me reach this milestone.) Artists and musicians will have Livestreams as they work on stuff, and I'm curious if there would be any interest if I were to do a similar thing. If I were to sit down for two to three hours on a weekend to write a short-story, and open the google doc for everyone to view, would anyone like to sit in? I'd also likely poll the folks viewing for thoughts and ideas for stories. For example, if I sit down to write a short-story about Rainbow Dash, I might ask if anyone has any story lines or situations they would like to suggest or request.

Now that I have read it, I must say that it is you who is the crazily awesome one here. You earned those followers. I'm not saying that we, as followers, aren't awesomeâyou have some pretty amazing followersâbut there is a reason we're all following you. Such reasons may vary between individuals, but they all have to do with you.

Second edition prints will not be available at Bronycon. Only way to get them will be through online order, since we won't even know if the printing will occur until enough people sign up.

it depends on how many people sign up. With the first editions (if I remember correctly) each copy was a little over $30.
