Well, on Monday night, I had to fly out to Idaho. It was pretty terrible, considering I was becoming sick and still in the throes of emotional turmoil, but I pulled on through.
Until Tuesday morning in a San Francisco Airport when I started to throw up and it started to hurt to swallow.
Agony through the plane ride to Boise, agony on a five hour drive to Yellowstone... but at least we got to a cabin where I could safely sleep.
And then I started to throw up blood.
Fun!
Turns out I only had severe strep throat, and it was just liquids being colored crimson by my throat blood. It was still kind of terrible, but not fatal. I'm alright now, and no longer horribly sick. Went into Yellowstone yesterday, and that was pretty awesome. There was still some snow up on the mountains up there, and I became the first person in my immediate family to touch that wonderful white crystal for the first time in ten years.
Oh god it was amazing.
Fuck Hawaii.
I'm going back to working on some fics, one of which I got the idea for while laying in bed, choking on my own bloody vomit. I wrote down a few other ideas while horribly sick and half-lucid, and dear christ, they're terrifying. Perhaps I'll develop them into full ideas later.
And I really want to thank you all again for the support on my last blog. It really means a ton to me, and I love you guys~
Yikes! Hope you can get over that faster than I do: last time I had strep throat, it lasted so long I'd forgotten how water tastes and what it was like to speak without hurting.
