Cons, the World Building Extravaganza, and Others · 4:16am Jun 24th, 2014
Greetings, denizens of the internet!
Just a little news-update-blog-thingy for you all. A few things that I figured I should mention to you at some point, but haven't really gotten around to it, and in all honestly figured I might as well just make a blog post holding them all. So, first things first.
Cons! I'm going to them! How many? Only one! Which one? The big one! 24 you asshole that doesn't answer my question! Don't care! So which is it? Bronycon, of course! That's right, ladies and gentlemen, I'll be at Bronycon 2014. I went last year and had a great time, so I figured why not let you guys all know about it this year? Maybe I'll meet some of you there! All you have to do is look for the 6'4" Italian-American gentleman with a beautiful Van Dyke and you'll have the chance to meet your favorite author! Just scream my name at me a few times if you do happen to see me, people have told me I have terrible hearing.
How about a studly picture for reference?
Yes, that is my designated ladyfriend. Yes, that is the illustrious city of Pittsburgh in the background. Yes, I go to the University of Pittsburgh. But unimportant right now, because there's a SUMMER FLASH SALE!!! Now, double the deal by meeting two of your favorite authors for the price of one! That's right, I won't just be there by myself, my good friend LoyalLiar is also gonna be there too! So that's both the founding fathers authors of The Price of Loyalty in one place, now for a limited time only! Oh yeah, apparently some other guy named Skeeter The Lurker might be with us as well. I'm sure that's nowhere near as exciting as meeting me though.
Other things! So as I'm sure you're all aware, the World-Building Extravaganza has run its course and petered out. It was good fun while it lasted, but eventually the questions did come to a close. Maybe I'll start it up again in a few months when you've had time to sit on your thoughts and think about... things. Yeah.
Also! I'm sure you noticed that my story, A Rainbow of a Different Color updated recently. It got a massive spike in views, letting me know that you all are still interested in that story, at least as much as you are in A Song of Storms. With this revelation, I've decided to alternate writing chapters of RoaDC and Summer Lands. Should be fun, and should make my head spin as I go between two wildly different mindsets.
Aaaand... that's all! I think. I probably forgot something. Oh well, I'll probably just append it on using the convenient edit function if I do remember it. Until next time, TALLY HO!

Cool
I completely lost my shit upon seeing that second picture.
Now we just need Ruirik to go.

I really regret not making actual plans to go to Bronycon, like reservations and whatnot. I meant all year long to do so, but by this point plane tickets would be so damn expensive and getting a room would be annoying to arrange.
Maybe next year.
That story, it stills needs more chapters.
I wish I could go to BronyCon. :P It's just not as convenient this year. It was pretty fun last year. Hopefully they won't have any panelists who don't show up on time (like that one last year where they weren't even awake or were just waking up when the panel was supposed to be starting).

That look on Spitfire's face, what does it mean?!

A grim resignation to the idea that the only way she's going to get rid of Rainbow Dash forever is to give in and give her what she wants, and then fly to Jamaica and start a new life for herself under an alias so that Rainbow will never find her again.

I don't even... I'm missing context here, but why would Spitfire even want to get away from Rainbow Dash in whatever headcanon is behind that pic?

Sorry, it still doesn't make sense, maybe it's supposed to.
Aww no more world building epicness? Well that's a fair choice. I do have a questions though. (pardon if it's been asked before, I haven't sen it yet) How are the wingblades fastened to the wings of a pegasus? I've seen the drawing you made and I assume they fasten to something along the pegasus back, but what about nearer to the wingtips? I would think there would have to be something to hold the blades securely in place while they're doing so much moving in the air at high speeds.
