That was a very honest review, yet horribly disappointing that of all the episodes they refused to watch, they totally skipped on Ponyville Confidential. Said person needs to watch Ponyville Confidential and Twilight Time. What sort of CMC/Pony fan wouldn't watch the episodes their favorite ponies star in and gain some emotional growth from?

Anyhow, feels bad for never commenting on your story (I don't think) as most of it was left in the Skype group with conversations with YourAntagonist. Your Lament of a Spoon is one of my top 3 favorite Silver POV stories to this day. Moving On was another legacy fic as well. But yeah, you did an amazing job keeping people on their toes. Ending was a bit left field, almost like if one was trying to find a quick way to resolve the issue with how to reform Diamond.

I digress though, it was a great story. And lol, I at least thought the Big Mac x Silver Spoon stuff was cute, reminds me how I used to crush on my neighbor despite her being much older than me.

Nice to see fans that dislike characters find something to enjoy about them.

I know. That was about the only disappointing thing I found in the review. I liked Ponyville Confidential, and Family Appreciation Day was another of my favourites. It was Family Appreciation Day that actually got me writing the story, Silver's reaction to Apple Bloom's grandmother and Diamond Tiara's incredulity at the support Granny Smith received from the class, specifically. As for the crush, I drew a lot from personal experience there, specifically my Grade Two teacher Mrs. Booth.

I agree about Hawattie's stories. Moving On and its sequel are great works. Another of my faves is Your Antagonist's The Serenade of Silver Belles.

2091890 Yeah, I found the way Apple Bloom seemed to have been empowered by the fact Silver Spoon was so absorbed with the story and had clapped that, Apple Bloom, pushed things further with DT and managed one of the cockiest and smug grins I've seen on a pony up until that last Sparity episode where Rarity gave that "A good designer never reveals her secrets" line.

I loved how cornered and seemingly confused Diamond was, how could anypony believe such a story? The very pony she not that long ago was dressed up in a bunny outfit jumping over pails, putting on pots over her head telling ponies to hit it, and wearing and talking to bees, be somepony that was responsible for so much AND be the reason she was able to have so much? UNTHINKABLE.

I love the show's cast, only one I didn't like too much was Flight to the Finish and that's mainly since it felt like it was tackling too many things at once with Dash's little side story about professionalism, though adorable, and the long song (mixed feelings, nice montage but it didn't actually progress the story one bit apparently) and being resolved by a mane six then something they all figured out as maybe they began to question if this event was even worth losing a friend over anyways?

But hey, as tweeted, that episode's goal did what it aimed to do from the start apparently, Scootaloo lives in a normal two story house! /rolleyes

I would of played up more of the rivalry, that epic CMC Scoot vs Tiara (I guess the others like AB, SB and SS were in the shot too) and it really felt like we were going to be able to see some epic showdown at the end.

Then it feels like I flew into a brick wall and we never got to see anypony compete and only got to see a glimpse of Silver and Diamond in their gymnastics attire.

But, wow, did I derail or what? Yeah, Apple Family appreciation was amazing. Especially that shot where Diamond's composure break happens and for a moment breaks into an awe at Granny's closing statements about the birth of Ponyville. DT's poker face being broken yet recovering before Apple Bloom could notice was an amazing addition by the animation staff. Not sure if that was scripted or not, but it's the moment that made me adore how not so honest with herself, and proud Diamond can be. Which is cute because we see more moments like that in One Bad Apple, where DT and SS somehow ended up being punished despite not having done anything wrong...sigh.

Sorry for the long rant, but I certainly see how you got your inspiration and am quite glad you wrote it. Hope to see more Silver Spoon and maybe even a Diamond story from you again someday. Take care, Zytharros!

I've only seen one-and-a-half episodes of Season Four.

Anyway, yeah, DT and SS were little more than a sight gag and a motive for a bit of irrational behaviour in OBA, but that's all. I liked the development of Babs Seed and the Crusaders as a whole.

Silver Spoon in gymnastics attire? Sounds like fanservice.

2093391 She's a tough cookie. Despite everything in the show, I just find Diamond Tiara to be quite a piece of work. S4 started off slow imho, but it has become pretty solid.

If you are to watch any episode at all, watch Pinkie Pride and watch for something special to happen after the Cakes scene. Though, Twilight Time, if ever there was a time that sort of spoke about DT's character, it would be how Diamond Tiara reacts to Sweetie Belle's rejection. The look of sheer disappointment, betrayal, and just feeling like the only way you know how to make friends gets thrown in your face, sort of tossed aside, causing her to feel genuine hurt was probably one of the best moments in the season.

AND OMG SILVER SPOON ISN'T A BRAINLESS FOLLOWER. She's an ASSERTIVE one. xD
Silver had some sweet moments in that episode.

Flight to the Finish, the outfits I would say are as far from fanservice as I can imagine. Though, they couldn't have been cuter together in those outfits if they tried. lol

They even finally showed Filthy Rich a couple more times this season, though mainly cameos and DT got to be part of the world in a non-CMC focused episode AND with her Daddy at the All Filly and Foal Fair. Seems like no big deal due to something AWESOME that happens in Pinkie Pride, as I mentioned you should watch for, but DT never had a single background shot in an episode which sort of makes the world feel a lot faker than usual, Silver got her own appearance without DT in Fluttershy's incredible episode Filli Vanilli.

In any case, look out for S5. Apparently McCarthy confirmed that they will be giving a side of the story as to why those two (I assume Silver gets a backstory too) as to how they came to pick on others. I have a bit of a headcanon about that and it would be nice to see if it comes true, wrote my thoughts down on it in the forums some time ago, so I'll totally squee if it matches up. But anyhow, S4 is worth watching. Certain episodes at the least. Though I think I named all those I figure you'd find relevant to your Interests.

Since you love Big Mac, do watch Pinkie Apple Pie (favorite episode tied with Twilight Time for this season) and Filli Vannlli. I think you'd be quite pleased at how they gave him some love this season.

And hey, np. I love stories, and I have a good deal of respect for those who write their own fanon. Sadly, I can't stomach many Silver Spoon stories due to what seems like a delusional fanon interpretation of wants over what the character is, removing all flaws and making her look worthless all around. Quite depressing reads, one was actually well written but practically plagiarized off every known Silver fic practically...and really made Silver look mentally challenged and not to mention the forced adult intervention which really made Silver seem more useless.

But I digress, not like all Diamond stories are perfect either, though you can certainly find more polished gems at the Diamond Cutters. I'd recommend A Feud Between Friends by Yukito which has quite the talent with making Filly 5 stories (CMC with DT and Silvy) as well as The Bestest Kind by Mudpony who wrote an amazing Silver Spoon.

I guess I enjoy DT's character a lot because, well, she's quite unique in the MLPverse. And though many don't see it, or refuse to, or aren't into analysis and such, she certainly has a lot of character and conflicting emotions throughout the seasons. Always growing, yet never changing what you'd expect one to change.

Chemistry, DT has that. She's that wild card that can bind others' destinies together. And, without her, there would be no CMC and we'd have gotten none of these great adventures. Apple Bloom quietly mulling away having to deal with being the only Blank Flank in the school. Almost makes me want to write an actual story about a Ponyville without Diamond Tiara. A sort of pure wish that gets granted to one of the CMC of all ponies. Who knows, could be Discord that plays devil's advocate, or DT falls into a depression over a series of unfortunate mishaps and misunderstandings.

I guess that has been done before anyways, but, it was a thought.

Anyhow, I'm done. I don't even want to look at how much I may have blabbed on about.
