    Hi, There

I wrote something. You may have missed that because it's for a contest entry, and I don't like to promote those before the contests is over; but I did write something.

Why I Wrote My Most Despised Story

About a week ago I published my twenty-fourth story. It has gone on to become the lowest rated story I have ever written. I sense I have some 'spainin' to do. Why did I write "...And I Will Name Him George!"?

Quizzical Greystone Meets Her Old Magic Tutor

(this takes place in the future; eight, perhaps nine, oh let's just call it several seasons into the future. Spoilers may occur. Or maybe not. If concerned, consult a calendar then relax).

The banging of the door knocker at the entrance of the Castle of Friendship rang through the castle's front hall.

"I will get it," called Quizzical Greystone.

Meet the Greystones · 2:14am May 1st, 2014

RemareShadows has asked me what Quiz's family look like, and I have to agree, this is a pretty good question. So I've been working on their descriptions. I won't be using most of them in stories soon, so I'm posting what I've come up with here.

Big brother Chisel Greystone VIII looks a little like Shining Armor, and he's almost as old. He's out of school and begining to work the quarry and the family holdings as his dad's junior partner. Chisel is a huge white unicorn stallion with a bright yellow mane and blue eyes; he's at least as big and strong as Big Macintosh. He looks exactly like a pony who grew up moving blocks of stone around, and he can probably move the blocks as easily pushing or hauling them as he could levitating them.

Chisel VII looks much like his son, he's a little smaller and less sturdy. The senior Chisel is still fit and strong in his middle years. He tends to conduct himself in a proper, formal manner, he can be a bit of a stiff. But he's a hands on manager, and he's just as likely to be found in his quarry as the front office. I imagine he'd wear a suit and tie to the office, if called outside to pitch in he'll throw his coat over a bush and roll up his sleeves, but he won't loosen his tie.

Both ponies have crossed hammer and chisel for cutie marks, though each mark is different.

Beryl Greystone is an elegant mare, with a rich chocolate brown coat and a bright green mane. She has the same emerald eyes as both her daughters. She's a former Canterlot socialite, but she was never stuck up or a phony. Beryl is an artist/craftworker - she cuts gems and designs jewelry. Her cutie mark is a broach with a big green stone, and a ring of little diamonds.

The most problematic pony for me is little sister Delight. I can see her clearly, but I'm not an artist and my every attempt build her with General Zoi's program led to a pony the good taste Nazis on deviantArt would probably post on the "Bad OC" site. She's supposed to be adorable. I think I'm going to have to use a writer's cheat for her - she's adorable because I say she's adorable. Anyway, this is how I imagine Delight Greystone. She's a painted pony, light pink with pale blue dapples. Her full
curly mane is two tone - pastel orange and baby blue. She's a little above average in height and build, and Delight has already grown almost as tall as her rather short older sister. He emerald eyes are the only trait she shares with Quiz. Delight doesn't have her cutie mark yet.

And that is the Greystone family.

Hm. Now first of all, I have to preface my comment with a fact: I have almost no color coordination at all. Now for the comment. Are you sure you want Delight in those colors? They seem to clash fairly hard.

2065890 No, I'm not sure. Not at all. But I thought she looked good on Pony Creator.

So does she personally know Fancy Pants then?

2065955 Oh, yes.

Well well well. Hello family.

Big brother Chisel Vlll - A super sayain. Such a buff unicorn, all the others will be green with envy.

Dad Chisel VII - what a business stallion. That tie has a life of its own.

Beryl- that jewelry is cute. A Canterlot elite, with out the snob!

Delight- You sweet little angel. What ever are we going to do with your color scheme...
Light pink, Orange and blue eh. So shiny.

Hmm
Tall to short.
Brother Chisel, Dad Chisel Vll, Beryl, Delight,Quiz.

Hmm, maybe Chisel VIII should meet Maud Pie :pinkiegasp::pinkiehappy::raritywink:

*Grins* Very cool stuff :) I can agree that Delight would be difficult to pull off, but not impossible...

2066779 No, it's not impossible. Remember that Delight is all pastels, and pastels play nicely together in ways that would have brighter shades screaming at eachother. Imagine three scoops of sherbet on a plate.
