The Time Has Come; the Full 'Dear Sweetie Belle' Continuity Timeline · 4:57am Apr 16th, 2014
NOTE: This is the FINAL established timeline of events. Any comments I have made in the past that contradict this have been solely to throw people off and keep them confused UNTIL THIS MOMENT and totally not because I myself get easily confused.

-Equestria is founded.
-The goddesses arrive in Equestria. Canterlot is founded.
-Princess Luna begins her affair with Starswirl the Adept. Celestia begins peaceful negotiations with Discord to annex the Lands of Chaos.
-The citizens of the Land of Chaos reject Discord. Discord transforms the Land of Chaos into the Bad Lands and vanishes.
-Starswirl the Bearded ventures into the Bad Lands upon failing to master his final spell.
-Discord returns and attempts to conquer Equestria. Celestia and Luna seal him away using the Elements of Harmony.
-Luna begins affair with Busara the Wise of Zebora.
-Busara is gelded and Equestria loses Zebora as an ally.
-Equestria makes first contact with the Crystal Empire. Trusted court adviser Lord Sombra is named Ambassador.
-Luna begins affair with Esmeralda of the Crystal Empire.
-Sombra seizes the Crystal Heart and names himself King of the Crystal Empire. Celestia and Luna destroy his body but his last spell places the Empire in stasis.
-Luna chooses brilliant unicorn Nevermore as her first student. The two soon become lovers.
-Luna's paranoia drives Nevermore to abandon her.
-The Rise of Nightmare Moon. Luna is banished to the moon. Nevermore vanishes while being sought for questioning about his role in Luna's downfall.
-The Reign of the Phoenix Queen. No records found.
-The Apple Family are lead to found Ponyville by Princess Celestia. Jebediah Apple fathers Eden with Celestia.
-Eden Apple dies in child-birth. Jack Apple is given to be raised by Francis Apple-Smith.
-Jack Apple meets and weds Beatrice Stormcloud.
-Birth of Macintosh Apple. Birth of Shining Armor.
-Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, and Derpy Hooves found abandoned outside the Cloudsdale Home for Wayward Pegasi.
-Birth of Applejack Apple. Birth of Pinkamena Diane Pie. Birth of Rarity. Birth of Twilight Sparkle.
-The Cutie Mark Chronicles. The Mane 6 get their cutie marks when Rainbow Dash does her first successful sonic rainboom.
-Rarity meets Crescendo. The Great Storm of Ponyville. Deaths of Jack and Beatrice Apple. Birth of Applebloom Apple. Scootaloo found abandoned outside the Cloudsdale Home for Wayward Pegasi. Feather Duster killed by Rainbow Dash. Birth of Sweetie Belle.
-Twilight Sparkle arrives in Ponyville.
-Sisterhooves Social: This is the divergence in the timelines. When Magnum and Pearl leave on their trip in this episode, they never come back.
-Princess Cadance formally introduces Shining Armor to Princess Celestia... and Princess Luna.
-Dear Sweetie Belle: After Magnum and Pearl's deaths, Rarity reveals her true identity to Sweetie Belle.
-Dear Applebloom: Inspired by Rarity, Applejack tells Applebloom the fate of their parents.
-Dear Scootaloo: Rainbow Dash reveals Scootaloo's history to her. The CMC compare notes. Sweetie Belle decides to seek out Crescendo.
-The Royal Wedding: The Changelings first incursion into Equestrian space. Equestria wins the battle. Luna's conflicted feelings for Shining Armor force her to stay away from the proceedings. During the actual battle, Luna is unable to join in the fray as she rescues Princess Cadance's bridesmaids from a mysterious beast in the caverns beneath Canterlot.
-Lost in the Night: Shining Armor and Luna begin their affair. Belial and Sin arrive in Equestria.
-The Crystal Empire returns. King Sombra is vanquished by the Crystal Heart. Princess Cadance takes her place on the Crystal Throne.
-Big Macintosh meets Fluttershy.
-Phases of the Moon: Princess Cadance becomes with foal. Shining Armor seeks answers about Luna's past from Brother Veritas in the Archives of Truth. Luna also becomes with foal.
-The Ascension of Princess Twilight Sparkle.
-The Reformation of Discord.
-Morning Glory: Macintosh and Fluttershy get married. Spike and Rarity get together. Applejack and Rainbow Dash start dating. Pinkie Pie and Caramel start dating. Time Turner advises Derpy that 'a storm is coming.'
-Can You Read My Mind: One week later, Applejack and Rainbow Dash have their first date... and their official first time together in the CMC's club house.
-Sweet Dreams: Princess Luna unites Caramel and Pinkie Pie's dreamscapes.
-Let it Snow: Fluttershy becomes with foal.
-Fluttershy delivers Scarlet Apple months ahead of schedule. Despite several close calls, Scarlet survives.
-The Sin of Envy, or a Mother's Love: Rarity has a nightmare about killing Sweetie Belle. The dream is sent by Belial and Sin.
-The King of Lies: Belial tests the Mane 6 and tempts Twilight Sparkle. Pinkie Pie and Caramel get married.
-Trixie becomes Luna's new student.
-Cutie Mark Crusaders Dream Warriors: The CMC battle and vanquish Feather Duster.
-What's Done in the Dark...: Princess Cadance gives birth to Prince Morning Dew, an alicorn. Cadance discovers Shining Armor and Luna's affair. Luna gives birth to Prince Moon Shadow, a unicorn (gasp). The Crystal Empire secedes from Equestria. Cadance crowns herself Crystal Empress. Shining Armor and Luna are married. Discord abandons Equestria.
-Pinkie Pie dies.
-Apple Family Secrets: Applejack discovers her genetic history and lets Celestia know that she knows. Applejack's powers begin to manifest.
-Paternally Yours: Sweetie Belle finds Crescendo and brings him back into her life in Ponyville.
-Sweetie and Dimmy: Crescendo's son Dimmy reveals the truth about his mother's drug abuse. Crescendo decides to seek full custody of Dimmy. At Rarity and Spike's urging, Crescendo makes plans to move both himself and Dimmy into Fluttershy's old cottage.
-The Changelings Have a King: A STORM
-On the Wings of War- IS COMING
-All the Pretty Little Horses- THE END

1. Before this blog post, I was actually trying to piece the continuity's timeline together in the right order.
2. Twilight became a Princess after Discord was reformed. Or is that just a difference in timelines from the main series?
3. We now have confirmation on the CMC's order of birth.
4. Was Pinkie killed off so that they can't just use the Elements of Harmony against the Storm?
5. How long roughly before Sweetie and Dimmy is finished, and how long will it be compared to the other stories in the continuity?

2. Yup. Fluctuations in the timeline caused several major events to shift.

4. Pinkie's death is natural, but does have the unfortunate side effect of depowering the elements. The Tree of Harmony is not attacked in this timeline.
5. It will be done within 3-4 weeks time and be about the same length as the two preceding stories.
Huh... Luna and Shining Armor have been stupid, selfish and treacherous, and they may or may not end up indirectly making all of Equestria burn, but I wouldn't have thought of their actions as intrinsically "monstrous" enough to attract old Beelzy from across space-time.

And their affair betrayed the love and trust of the PRINCESS OF LOVE. That act, and it's consequences, is the single greatest sin in Equestrian history.

Moon Shadow's pony-type was left out of the story so the eventual reveal would mean something.
