What should I read next? · 4:25am Mar 24th, 2014
So far, I've been merely skating around. I've looked for some of the best of the best and the better than the rest stories, and found plenty. But things are slowing down. As an HiE reader, I find I have to go back if I ever want the chance to go forward. So I'm going back to a time I passed, and picking up stories to read.
I have a current 'List' of things to read. Which one should I start with? And if not any of the below...Which one do you think I should read? You can bring them from anywhere...just don't go overboard.

A Different Viewpoint of Equestria
ADVoE is an okay story technically if you ignore the minor errors that pop up at the beginning of the story. Aside from a weak character, it really hits the nail on the head when it comes to proper progression...except the fact that there's nothing to distract from the blatant opinionated drivel that 'Humanity is Eviiil'. The main character drones on and on, and out of the six chapters I read, three are about how much this forty-year old, (who acts like he's twenty-seven), misses his wife that he lost five years ago, and the three others were about 'the horror's of society'. Thinking back on it, the only thing the story got right was the time frame. It didn't particularly build the world, it didn't develop the characters...it didn't do much. It's a nice story...but that's all it is. If you're just starting on Fimfiction, this is nice...but it isn't much more than you're going to get from another story. B+

I recommend Through the Well of Pirene. I've been going through this over the last few days, and I am rather enjoying it.

Self promotion aside, it seems to have gone down well with other readers, despite my struggles in writing. The basic plot is that a Knight and his squire end up in Equestria, as well as their mounts. Its an adventure story with lots of misunderstandings while, I hope, avoiding many of the HiE tropes that have become standard.
