One Neat Thing That I Did Get to Do Last Summer

During August of 2016, my friends and I visited South Korea. When I went there, there were three things in particular that I wanted to do: I wanted to get some good hiking in, I wanted to see some live Starcraft games, and I wanted to do some karaoke. It turns out I got to do all those things and more. If you want to see that Starcraft bit,

    I'm Back, After an Age

    Hey folks,

It sure has been quite a while since I was last on here. I just want to say that I am back to jump back into A Heart of Change and to bring it to its conclusion, and that's the gist of what this blog is about. If you want to hear a rambling story explaining my absence, by all means keep reading.

I Happened to Stumble Upon a Beautiful Treasure

So I just happened to click on the stats button for AHoC because I hadn't done that in quite a while, and suddenly I noticed that I had gotten a few hits from EqD since I had last looked, which I thought was quite strange. So I clicked on the link and ended up on this page which showed the results of an event that

Chapter 24 is Done and Going Through the Final Stages of Editing.

And I aim to publish it sometime tomorrow. Thank you for your considerable patience and continued readership. I'll definitely get the next chapter out in a more timely fashion. I am tentatively aiming to wrap this story up by sometime around August or so.

Now I'm going to go straight into planning and writing the next chapter.

    Cheers,

My Favourite Episode of the Series · 12:49am Mar 24th, 2014

Well, it happened. For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils takes first place on my list of favourite episodes. I looked over my list and updated it.

1: For Whom the Sweetie Belle Toils
2: Wonderbolts Academy
3: Sisterhooves Social
4: Twilight Time
5: Sleepless in Ponyville

Am I biased? Why yes, I am. But aren't we all? Who likes an episode just because of how technically good it is? How good something is, very much helps how much you enjoy it, up to a point, though. Past that, what really matters is how much you can relate to it, and how much you can take away from having read/watched/experienced whatever it is.

This episode, to me, is absolutely fantastic. Now I'm going to go re-watch it.

I've rewatched it five times now... :ajsleepy: I don't know why, but I just cannot stop. :unsuresweetie:

It's an amazing episode. I loved it. I like what they're doing with the Crusaders this season.

Ehh, I wouldn't put it above Sleepless in Ponyville or Sisterhooves Social, but it's real close. You know, in my biased opinion.

Awesome! I actually just got around to watching it about five minutes ago. I must say, the entire set up and everything was just perfect! Well, I'll admit some of the things Sweetie Belle said during the flashback monologue was kinda telly, it was appropriate and a very well-done scene overall. Although I did like it because it was obviously very Dickens inspired, which I approve of. Plus, having back in November actually written, directed, and performed in my own play, I totally related to Sweetie's struggle. It really hit home with me with how obsessed she was over it, even if we never see the journey to this. Fantastic. And those subtle bits of Luna development were also fantastic. And I just. UGH. It was fantastic. I can't use that word enough.

I just feel as if the entire thing was masterfully done, overall. Imagery, impact, development, plot twists, and despite some bits of dialogue being kinda "meh", I'm glad the episode wasn't actually funny. I laughed about three or four times, sure, but this was a serious episode that took itself seriously. Okay I'm done now.

Love always and forever,
-Ghost

I figured you whould enjoy this episode :ajsmug: I know I did. And I sort of want to draw more Sweetie belle now :ajbemused:

1950478

Don't resist... :rainbowwild:

1950382
I was this way with Filli Vanilli. Embrace it! :yay:

1950572 I have ... 7 times now.

1950555 Well it is Sweetie we are talking about here so resistance is pretty much futile :unsuresweetie:

1950478 I'll never complain about seeing you draw more Sweetie Belle

Damn good list. Nothing tops Sleepless in Ponyville for me though.

I personally put this episode below Flight to the Finish, but then Sweetie Belle is my least favorite CMC (though least favorite here is relative, I love all the CMC).

In the end this is my second favorite episode of the season, my second favorite Luna episode (after Luna Eclipsed, but ahead of Sleepless in Ponyville), and my all time favorite Sweetie Belle episode (beating Sisterhooves Social).

My #1 slot hadn't updated since "Party of One," but I'm a classical theatre geek, and this episode felt like it was custom-designed for me. It was utterly brilliant.

But... but... Flight to the Finish!

1952851 It's pretty much tied with Sleepless in Ponyville, and I had to choose one. It's a darn good episode with a fantastic song, but I chose Sleepless over it (nearly had to roll a die to choose between the two)..

1953109

Yeah, I suppose. It could easily go either way, but I like Flight's moral better, and, let's face it, we all love to hate Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon.
