Boy, do I NEED to find an editor! But aside from that, I was surprised anyone actually read it. I figured since I was a nopony that nopony would give it a chance. It's possible the low word-count helped somewhat. In spite of my many spelling, grammar and syntax errors, it's good to see that the first chapter alone has almost 300 views, and best yet, no one has been a jerk about the story's apparent faults! Whoops, meant nopony. Should I even speak like that?
ANYWAY. so, the few who read this will now know the ugly truth about my first submission's first chapter - I HAVE NO BUCKING CLUE WHERE THAT STORY'S GOING. Some writers write themselves into corners, but I write myself into the center of the ring. To clarify - I just wanted to make a 3-scene story about a very special date. But then the writer's side of my brain started punching my hands into doing its bidding. This is why it has the "Once upon a time, Unicorns and Pegasi didn't see eye-to-eye." (hmm good line, I may edit that in. You guys should PM me and let me know what YOU think!)
To end this blog, I profusely apologize for not waiting to get an editor. This piece could have been better, and now I've put myself into a position in which people now expect good things from me. Why did I DO THAT! *self-rage* But seriously.
"When Two Fly As One" is off the front page now, which saddens me, but I should be glad it got as much attention as it did. I doubt it will ever make featured, so I suppose my new goal is to just finish the story for those who like it. Now I just have to decide in which direction I want the story to go. No sweat, right?

126498 I appreciate your support! As I'm typing this I am actually in the middle of writing the second scene. Luckily, I spent all weekend figuring out what I am doing with the story. I have a good feeling about it, because when outlining it all to my sister (who's a seasoned fanfic writer and possibly the harshest critic I will ever meet), she was stunned at how I put everything together. She wasn't very nice to me about my first draft of Scene 1, however!
Personally I just can't wait until I'm done with all this. I was thinking about it today, and more or less I decided once I finish this story I will take a break to read other people's work on this site. I've seen so many promising stories on here, and this writing process gives me no time to read.

Here's my take on the mane 6 pairings:
> Fluttershy X anypony: it's hard for me to imagine her in any story with heavy romance, unless it was manga-styled romance. (Where they just blush all the time, draw out sexual tension for 20 volumes, etc)
> Applejack X Dash: only Applejack pairing I can imagine, though I'm not saying it's her only legitimate pairing.
> Rarity X anypony but Applejack: Has anyone written a story yet in which she is trying to keep her relationship on the down-low to try to work her way up the social ladder? As for dating with Rainbow specifically, I could see a story in which they are already steady and you get to see all the relationship cliches:
Rarity: "does this make me look fat?"
Rainbow Dash: "I don't care what you wear - I'm starving and we're running late! And that's saying something considering how fast I can take us to there!"
> Pinkie Pie X anypony: I find her the hardest character to write out of the 6. I hope I'm not the only one who finds it awkward to write her into scenes. Her character demands that she pops in and disrupts pacing with a pun or turn of phrase, every time.
Twilight X Rainbow Dash: I'm not quite sure why I like this combo the most. A bookworm who has difficulty expressing herself and a gold-medal athlete who only has a bronze when it comes to social skills. Seems legit.

They're not really on hiatus although the author of growing pains has admitted to dealing with a writers block. Oh, and the bluebirds song is nearing it's finale. My fav Twidashes... I guess you should look at 'flying high, falling hard' for a lengthy story and 'Trust' and 'I'll be home for hearthwarmings' for one-shots. If you want you can look up Cerulean1313. He ships the main 6 with OCs with each having their own story. I personally find them rather nice
EDIT: Don't beat yourself up over your ratings. 59 thumbs up in one day is actually quite good. I've seen featured fics start off with less.
