So it's now been three full months since I last posted anything to Good Griff!. I'm SOOO super sorry. I've been working on chapter 10 at a steady, if SLOOOW, rate this whole time. I'll get little bursts of inspiration or motivation and occasionally put down 500 or 1000 words, and then that'll be it for a week or so. I'm about 13k words into the chapter, and I'm nearing the end. I'm expecting it to be about 15k, EASILY the longest yet by about 50%. And I also need to draw an illustration. So I'm getting there.
Also, I've been super busy with my other shit. My videos for Reactions Are Magic have been getting complex and time consuming. I've been spending time putting together the planning phase of a completely original fantasy universe for a story a friend and I are starting. Non-pony, though. My job takes up most of my weekdays of course. Recently, I wrote a short story for a contest. 500-600 words, near future hard sci-fi. Other than that, no limits. I'm super proud of what I wrote and I'd post it here (it's non-pony as well, so it would just go in a blog post, I guess), but I shouldn't until April, when they announce the results.
Also, my car, the King of Red Lions, died. I had to get a new one. So that was a major thing. What I did was this: I put out car-bait:

I waited a little while and then checked my trap. Here's what I found:

So yeah, shit's been weird and non-productive for me lately. But the next chapter SHOULD be coming pretty soon. Like within the next couple of weeks. (Unless I'm a lazy liar again.)
15k words? Dang, this chapter's gonna be quite a read
yeah. And they're STILL not back on the road yet. Alot of character driven stuff happens, some of it that I'd intended to happen near the end of the story, but decided to move up. But the end of the chapter has them setting back out. Next chapter is when the epic road trip of epicosity begins in earnest.
