I will get back on a schedule... eventually.
My goal is to get the next two chapters out this week before I leave on vacation. I know exactly where I want to leave everyone hanging while I'm gone and I just hope that none of you hurt yourselves while I'm away. They're both in progress, so I'll see if I can make it work.
Anyway, I'd just like to point out that endlessnostalgia is awesome. Check out his DeviantArt page. I'd like to thank him for the excellent commission he did, and also AmyL for making that possible. There is now more artwork of human Lyra than there used to be and she looks awesome in this one.
Elsewhere on DeviantArt, there's a nice little comic started based on... that chapter. ShadowShay, I have high hopes for this one.

While cliff hangers do drive me a little bit crazy with anticipation though, they honestly don't affect me quite so much after I finished this one story that have us TINY chapters and GIGANTIC cliff hangers. If I didn't learn self control I'd probably have beaten my head senseless on my desk.

OK, let's cover the basic backtracking. First, remember that story you reced me in the comments section a while back? The Curious of Lyle Hartman? Well, I finally finished it, and apart from some expected queasiness near the end it was a fairly fun read with an interesting conclusion. I suppose I better pay you back for that great rec with a similar piece in terms of affection: All-American Girl, the comparison has been made often in comments between this story and My Little Dashie, but upon thought I think it actually compares with your own story a lot better, given that the main character is effectively a reverse bizzaro version of Negative Lyra.
As for the current blog post: Lyra is awesome, that art of Lyra is like a totally tubular blast from a more radical time with future fez, and I applaud your use of cliffhangers. Ooh! You know what would be great? Is if you left us off on some event like Lyra falling unconscious after having to chop of her own arm, or comm chatter coming in that multiple Equestrians have been spotted across the States, or a portal opening up directly over her family's head with Lyra exclaiming, "This is only the beginning!" You know, end it off on something utterly life changing.
Thank you for being so dedicated to us. But please, try not to over-work yourself. I'm sure all of us will be fine with your best.
How long is the vacation going to be?

Secondly, fic has been brilliant - every single chapter. I check back every few days now out of habit. I'll be in a new state of depression when the Anthropology story arc finally ends.
Thirdly, do have fun and enjoy wherever it is that you happen to be going to. You holidaying in-land or overseas? I can guarantee that wherever it is you're going, the weather can't be as miserable as it is here in England!
