To all of my readers. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for taking the time to read this long story I've been writing for over a year. I've put a great deal of time and effort into this tale and I do hope it shows. Thanks to the addition of a proof-reader/editor, the last few chapters have been of higher quality. There's still a ways to go on Starstep's journey and despite the dark themes of the current arc, there are laughs and light-hearted moments to come. As well as more sexy-time.
If you've had a good time reading the story, the only payment I can ask is your comments and a thumbs-up vote. My reward for all the time put into this is hearing about your experiences, feelings and thoughts. I love knowing what scenes you enjoy, or what bits of dialogue grabbed you. I read every comment and I do try to keep open conversation with you all.
Over the last few weeks you've been getting a LOT of updates with 8k+ words each. That's a lot of new content. Look at how many stories on this site update once every month, if you're lucky.
So please, take a moment and hit that thumbs-up button. Show your support and share your thoughts. I only write this story because you dear readers enjoy it.

Haha, they may be overrated, but the down-votes sting. Everyone of those hurts because they never take 10 seconds to tell me why they didn't enjoy the story.
Plus it's a percentage thing... I like to calculate out the yea/neigh to get a feel for the overall enjoyment of the tale.
I usually comment with every chapter I read. Heck, I even resist the urge to click the unread chapter right away. I feel a need to bring myself into the right frame of mind to properly appreciate the new chapter first. I am enjoying your story alot, but what's most important is that you continue to enjoy writing it.
That said, I'm really grateful for the new chapters everytime they show up. Yet words fail to express my emotions, so instead I give you this Spike-'stache:
Hey! I try and update at least monthly... USed to be I could do weekly updates of 10k words, but then my career suddenly existed.

Haha, yeeeeeah, I forgot I had it favored. Mostly it was just so I could make sure the FIM:Fic notification system was working right. It's still glitchy as hell.
I do make sure to vote on every story I've read. And the few I had to down-vote, I tried to leave an honest comment about why.
I have like ten stories on my 'read later', but they haven't updated in like... well... over a month or more. *shrug*
Love the story thus far, keep up the work!

beautiful story i can't say how enjoying this story was. beautiful just beautiful
from reading this story i have some new insight to luna and her mysterious ways and how old she is and how many ponies she loved(mares and stallions) before she was banished moon. and how she handles starstep in her own way.plus i LOVE the little bits of clop that are in here, i don't like the warning before hand that kinda kills the mood for me 
again beautiful.. these kinda stories are rarity
to find on this site or any others. a mature story with good charters and with a princess no less, these are a rarity,

As for favoring, should I be marking a story as a favorite even if it's long since completed? I dunno etiquette for that.

As for favouriting, I just favourite something if I like it... I don't really think there is an etiquette.

Hmm... I dunno, I like a lot of random stuff, and not all of it would some readers approve of. *shrug* Taste the rainbow I guess you could say. See the broad spectrum of all things from dark to foal so I can better understand.
1808263 Fuck what they think. If you like something, show the other authors you care by favouriting it. Like, really. I personally don't give a fuck if people browse through my favourite list and see what I read. Just cause I read things doesn't mean I'm a terrible person. Just because something has complex subject matter, doesn't mean it shouldn't be read.

Nothing brightens my day when I see TLtM updates. I have thoroughly enjoyed Starstep's and Lighthoof's journey, so much so I have re-read the story three times. I am excited to see where it goes.

1808094 I totally agree about the down votes! Then later you won't be able to go to sleep at night because you're up thinking "WHAT PART OF MY STORY DID I DO WRONG?!"
Anyways, I did comment before, but I'll be sure to do it more often now. That story means a lot to me, more than you know.
Excellent story, a favorite for sure and only stories that I'd be willing to share and recommend end up in my favorites list. I don't see the point of favoriting something to follow it if it's not one of your favorites... does that make sense?
Anyways, I started reading the story a few days ago and caught up on it fairly quickly. Starstep and Lighthoof are top notch OCs and I enjoy how you portray Luna and Celestia, not OOC, but you've added your own excellent mark on their personalities.
