Well... · 8:14pm Jan 24th, 2014
Here we are coming to the end of another month and still no update. Again, all I can say is I am sorry and I am working as quickly as I can to get the next chapter finished.
As I'd mentioned in my last blog, work and my crappy internet has slowed down writing on my story. Well, work as for the most part eased up, so I'm not as tired or stressed as I have been which is good. On that note, I'm currently in the process of looking for a new job. Ten years of working for Walmart has taught me a lot. The most important thing is not to work for Walmart for ten years. About 40 miles away they are building a Schnucks, which from what I hear is a much better company to work for. While I'll be driving further to get to work, I believe the benefits and lack of crap I'll have to deal with would be well worth it. Still, it's going to be at least six to eight months before they open the new store.
As for my crappy internet, I'm afraid little has changed there save for the odd day of not sucking. Still, in that space of time I did manage to get another 10k words written up so that's a bonus. There's also the possibility that Verizon maybe moving into my area, and maybe putting in a dsl service. If this is true, I may jump ship depending on their prices.
Lastly, I'm close to the 24k mark for this chapter, and like my others it should be finished around the 32 or 35 mark. I have two scenes to write completely and two to finish up. Once that's finished, I'll send it off to my pre reader and editor if they're still alive and with me. I'm rather hopeful to have this finished by sometime next month, and for updates afterwards to come more swiftly.
Well, thanks for sticking with me up to this point folks, and I hope to see hear from you all sometime.
Don't feel bad making us wait. As annoying as it is to wait, it's alright, your story is amazing and I love it, it's becoming one of my top favorites . If you have to take more time than planned to write it, then go ahead. I'd hate you to try and rush it, and it not come out as you had hoped or planned, or focus solely on it and do something to screw up real life. So I'll happily wait.
-A happily awaiting fan
I would prefer to wait for this story than be unable to read it at all. It's an excellent story and I really enjoy it.
Good luck finding a job; I can't give advice about the companies as I don't think they operate over here. Or if they do, it's under a different name.
I'm glad to hear an update from you!
I hope job searches go well, and the new chapter is as epic as the rest. :D
rock on!
