Update on Next Chapter · 2:26am Jun 20th, 2016
Well, that damn well took forever. But it's pretty much finished at long last, just needs to be scored and sent off for editing and pre reading. Just a bit longer and it'll be out so just hang in a little while more. Hopefully it won't take so long next time. Hopefully...
In the meantime, whats coming up? Bronycon. I'm gonna go, and I'm gonna have fun. All of the fun. I am going to get autographs of the main four. I am going to buy pony swag and recharge my batteries within the holy land of friendship that is Bronycon. And no one is going to stop me.
Originally I was planning to go dressed up as Shadow, (confound these ponies they drive me to cosplay) and to do this I bought a Fallout jumpsuit, got a piece of cosplay shoulder armor, paintball knee and elbow pads, and a round civil war era canteen. Commissioned a guy to make a metal Marshall badge based off the cover art. A friend (the same one going with me and who threatened to not be seen with me while dressed up) made me a combat shotgun outta a nerf gun and did a bang up job making it look very real. I found a toy revolver about the right size and a holster. I got the Pipboy edition of fallout 4 and was given a Galaxy S3, got it loaded up with music from the games.
All said and done, I've spent close to $300 for this thing (not including the Pipboy as I was going to get it away)... and I'm not even going to wear it now.
Walking a couple blocks from my hotel room to the convention center while carrying two very realistic weapons isn't a very good idea I think currently. If ever. Still, perhaps I'll get to wear it next year if I can book the convention hotel. Plus I can probable lose a bit more weight so I can impress some Spitfire or Fleetfoot cosplayers.
In the meantime, given whats been happening a lot lately I hope and pray that all you guys out there are doing well. While I could talk about all this crazy shit, I'm going to attempt to keep it out of here, or at least in my update blogs on the story.
So, update soon, bronycon... and I gotta go to work in eight hours...
Traditionally you paint or tie something bright orange to the end of the barrel to show that it isn't a real gun. Maybe that helps?

True, and we have done that but I've seen news stories were little kids are shot over toy guns that are nearly completely orange. Figure it's better to er on the side of caution.
Also, hey Chaos.
Ey, man, on the binge reading of your story. All I want to say is: GOD DAMN. It is Fallout Equestria level of interesting and the music which you throw in in certain moments sets the mood just right! Thank you for writing such a masterpiece. HOping and waiting for the next chapters to come out sooner than they do now :D. Also, some of the musics in the chapters does not work because youtube copyrighted and deleted the channels associated. So, if ya could, please fix the music. Sets the mood immeasurably well.
