I'm not dead yet... · 1:46am Mar 14th, 2016
Despite work's best efforts I have remained within the land of the living for the time being. I know I said things would quieten down after the holidays but it seems there's no rest for the wicked or Walmart workers. We've got inventory coming up in a month and due to my department having the 'most' workers we got picked to cover four other departments.
What's so bad about inventory you ask? Well, ya see we have to make sure everything in the store is scanning correctly, to do this we have to scan... everything. Every. Last. Thing. Now, it sucks, but it's doable at least until someone gets the bright idea that we should scan other peoples stuff besides our own.
Further adding to our fun is they've decided that there has to be two people on the floor at ALL times. Now, don't get me wrong, I agree that it's a good idea, but how they're going about doing it sucks. People are clocking in to begin their shifts and are being sent to lunch two hours later into their nine hour shift. Oh, whats that your not hungry? Too bad. Eat on your break, which you have to take at exact times and have to be back so the next person can go exactly on time... oh, and getting food counts. What? Not our problem.
Oh, but the best part is the fact there's not always two people out there at all times sometimes people are left alone for five hours, and it doesn't seem to bother them to pull the second person away whenever they need us to do something, but heaven help us if we walk away from our area to help someone.
So, where does that leave the new chapter? In limbo... but unlike the past few months the word count has been climbing, slowly, but it IS climbing. I'm figuring out the last couple scenes I need to get in to call it done. Got a jumbled mess inside my head that resembles those, just gotta get them out on paper... or digital paper I suppose.
Anyway, sorry, once again for being such a LONG wait, but I haven't given up just yet.
In other news, Season Six is coming...
Honestly folks, who can hate this face?!?
OMG!!!
I never ever doubt that any author is dead at least according to how long they've been away from the website... I'm just happy to hear your voice once again. In any case, for Season Six, I can agree about them being way overdramatic especially about Flurry Heart due to her being born as an alicorn, that definitely ruffled some feathers from the fandom (although admittedly I do question her name). And I agree, that is one adorable baby alicorn!

She is just so freaking cute. The name is a bit odd, but we are talking about ponies, ponies with names like Hayseed Turnip. I figured her name would have been Skyla, since they had a baby pony named that.
3806727 It'd be a nice callback but there would be a hell of an inferno if she were to be named that...
