Last September:
I noticed that An Infinite Number of Pinkies had become my most viewed story on the site when that particular metric on its balance sheet crossed the big round number of 4,000.
Well, I've just noticed that I've had a second story reach the 4,000 views mark: the "rated: Mature" Appleshy/Flutterjack tale "Biology: A Romance," the first act of a series that includes the novel-length History: A Romance Continued and the thing I'm working on now, "Philosophy: A Romance Expanded". "Biology" also has three times as many "down votes" as any other story I've posted here, so I'm sure that indicates something. The futility of statistics, maybe...

"Well done. Here come the test results: you are a horrible person. That's what it says—a horrible person. We weren't even testing for that." –GLADoS, Portal 2
That's what you get with "mature" stories: More views & more down-votes.

I never did play Portal. Prob'bly 'cause I haven't played any video games since, oh, 1983 I'd estimate...

Looking at the rest of the stats, I see that, while "Biology" has the most "dislikes," it's also got the second highest amount of "likes," trailing only Infinite Pinkies once again in that regard. Ah, crunchy, crunchy numbers...

Echoing Bad Horse: Mature-rated stories will get downvotes simply for existing. I've never seen a Mature story with the Sex tag leave the front page with less than eight downvotes. My own "Social Lubricant" even got a downvote before a single word was ever posted.
