Happy Birthday, Hard Reset! · 9:15pm Jan 15th, 2014
So one year and twenty-one stories ago today, I first published Hard Reset. Threw in an announcement at the end of Duel Nature, and figured that maybe if I was lucky it would get a few hundred views and maybe end up fourth, maybe third in the feature box.
The actual reception it got was somewhat more intense.
Over 26,000 people have read the original, and it's currently the third highest rated story of all times on this site. Earlier today I became the 15th person to hit the 2,000 follower mark, which HR was undeniably a factor in. It's spawned four sequels, too.
Oh, did I say four? I meant five.
Yes, to commemorate the anniversary, the mind-bogglingly talented Horizon has completely reimagined the entire thing and just posted Hard Reset 2: Reset Harder, which I've been prereading and has my blessing. Although it starts with the same premise, there's one major change: Twilight's not the only one looping anymore. It's entirely its own thing, and cranks the mind-twisting timey-wimeiness up to 11. So go celebrate this anniversary by checking it out!

I really like 'Taste' too. There are a few rough patches here and there, a natural consequence of writing the entire thing in like six weeks, but right now I'm actually in the process of editing and revising it to publish it as a non-pony novel

I honestly love Hard Reset and all the sequels, and I you made me like Twilight much more than I already did, making her my fav character.
