Just a Quick Blog About Current Events · 6:20pm Dec 7th, 2013
For starters...
Fourth day in a row with sub-freezing temperatures and ice so thick it cracks hammer shafts when ya hit it...yeah.
For those of you that still like to entertain the idea that it doesn't get cold in Texas...kindly go to hell XD
Observe my poor car:
And that's BEFORE the ice collapsed in the back window to the tune of $1100 in damage (thank gawd for car insurance)
XD;
And so, while that gets repaired (and as I'm rather stranded in doors, with work having been cancelled the past two days), I'm going to cross one of the big events off my Brony Bucket List today: watching the entirety of this series:
Turnabout Storm....this is gonna be a helluva ride!
Also, for those wondering...I'm currently about 8k words into the next chapter of Blue Angel (travel, work, and bad real life events such as the car window have kinda had me tied up the past month, but no more! Hopefully!!!)
^^;;
I'm thinking about posting a weekly (or maybe even bi-daily) blog detailing my work in progress on my stories.
Anyone up for that or would that wear ya'll out?
^^;;
And speaking of that Brony Bucket List, as I'll also be updating my user page from the standard design-
Rainbow Dash: About damn time, dude!
Ahem, yes...right. I'll be adding a Brony Bucket list to the page as well. It will include events I've already accomplished (Go to a Major Convention, Meet Mandopony, etc) and things I'd like to do (like draw a pony...seriously, I never have).
And on that point, what's on ya'll's Brony Bucket Lists?
Discuss!
Scootaloo: And thanks for being patient with V-Pony. He's REALLY bad at procrastinating and making up bad excuses for it.
Shush, Scoots!
Lol, stop procrastinating and get us the next chapter! dl.dropbox.com/u/31471793/FiMFiction/Emoticons/misc_Octavia.png
When it's cooooooold outsiiide, im a keep my black ass inside, fuck today! I've got this on a loop(thank God for youtube repeat) and I am blasting this, while my parents try to break down the door.
I know how you feel, V. It ain't much warmer up here.
A weekly or even daily blog post wouldn't be too much for me, there's people here I follow that post multiple blogs a day and I haven't unfollowed them because of it.
I'm thinking Bronycon as the next box to check off. NMND was pretty awesome but I'd kind of like to experience the extra big con.
Jeeze, that's some ice. Seems you can't catch a break when it comes to cars, either. I remember two significant ice experiences in my life.
My high school girlfriend lived 27 miles away. One evening while I was there, we got a huge ice storm. After about two hours it was over and we went out and were able to ice skate on the road with just our shoes. There was a solid half inch of ice on everything. So I drove home. Every time I needed to slow down, I put my Valiant's right side tires off the edge of the pavement and into the grass. Worked like a charm.
A few years later, I had just finished installing a cold air intake on our diesel Ram. Ironic, because it was freezing sleet outside. I went out for a test drive and when I got to the corner stop sign and came to a halt, I felt a gust of wind and the 7,000-pound truck started to slide sideways on the crown of the road. It was another situation in which driving off the pavement would have actually been less slick.

Holly Molly and I thought the East Coast gets some big ice during winter (with the Gulf stream practically stealing all the heat to keep us europeans warm and cozy ).
Anyway, Im not going to post that Iron Will pic now. It would show bad taste of the current situation. As for the blog, its a good idea, keeping your watchers up to date helps. Stay with a once-a-week form, that is more then enough.
No kidding on the cold in Texas, we get some pretty harsh winters here. At least here down in Houston it's just cold, no ice...anyways a weekly blog would be a good idea, that way we know you are alive
and a brony bucket list...hmm my top things to add on that would be for one to get act 1 finished in my story, and second on that list would be to attend brony con for the first time (my list is a work in progress )
how the hell does Texas have more snow than us? I live in TN and we only got one snowday LAST year.
then again, I live in a place where the snow gets funneled to the surrounding counties, and rarely even gets down here :/
Wow. That poor car. At least you have snow. All we get in Australia is 47 centigrade summer days. I myself haven't seen snow in 8 years.
fucking casual weather. should be fire tornadoes all day everyday.
WHAT THE FUCK IS A SONIC
