Planning, New Season Info and Good News · 3:04pm Nov 27th, 2013
I'm the kind of writer that likes to plan. I've planned the structure of my story, so I know we have roughly four or five chapters to go before the timeskip. I've also got the rough outline for a sequel or two and a few sidestories even. Perhaps the most developed though, weirdly enough, is the backstory. I have a rather detailed summary of the history of Equestria from the time of the first ever alicorns right up to the modern era. Suffice to say, this backstory will probably not break to accommodate new information from Season 4, though thankfully the Tree of Harmony was so much like the idea I had for the origins of the Elements of Harmony that it can be integrated pretty seamlessly.
Also, good news is that I have managed to get focussed enough to write over 3000 words in the last couple of days alone, excluding the other stories I work on, of course. I think I'll be able to get a lot more done fairly soon, as I have a firm idea on what exactly is happening in this chapter. Won't give a deadline though; I hate those things.

Other stories? Are those other pony stories? If so, are they something we can look forward to in the nearish future? I'd like to see more from you. On a similar note, any chance of us seeing some of that back-story, or is it the type of thing that will be revealed in the course of the story?
S4 is looking like it will be breaking a lot of fanon, particularly regarding history. I'm looking forward to seeing what the show writers come up with.

Yea, I figured the backstory was pretty huge. While I was reading Night's Favored Child, I couldn't help but admire all of the legends and myths, or Nightmare Moon's recollection of past events. All of that detail adds a lot more life into the story, and I love it
