Here's a couple of questions: Why is sleep always more important in the morning? And at whom should I direct my unbridled loathing for inventing anything that operates at 2:30 AM?
Work has been keeping me busy, so I haven't been as active as I possibly could with editing and stuff. That said, there are still a few things that have continued.
In the number one slot, LightStriker is moving along on the third installment of the Azure Chronicles, Fighting Destiny. The first two chapters are now up, so go give them a look. Be sure to read the first two stories (Never Judge A Book By Its Cover and Purity) first.
I apologize in advance for recommending a story with such obvious and numerous grammar issues. There are a couple of editors that are helping out with Fighting, so that will be much better from the start. We are also working with LightStriker to clean up the first two installments. We'll get them all updated eventually, but Never and Purity might be awhile.
In the number two slot, Web of Hope (who is also helping with editing LightStriker's work) has been in the process of tweaking the existing chapters of The Life and Missions of a Winning Agent. Everything that has already been posted will be getting consolidated into a single chapter, plus a number of additions. It's also undergone some fairly heavy refinements throughout. Can't wait until everyone else gets to see it all. Now I'm going to go hide all the shiny things... Maybe that will help Webby focus, assuming I don't get distracted— Ooooooh. Shiny!
In slot #3 is Xepher's Three Wishes: The Cutie Mark Crusaders Before They Changed The World. The story is finished and on a weekly chapter release schedule. This made the editing a little difficult to keep up with, but I think we managed. Some things did slip through the earlier chapters, but they are being fixed as each new chapter gets released.
**MINOR SPOILER ALERT** Despite the story being about the CMCs, my favorite character in Three Wishes (however minor his role may be) is still Gunnar (and possibly his brother-in-law, if Xepher takes one of my suggestions). He hasn't shown up yet, but he made me laugh quite a bit. Is funny, ja.
In slots #4 and #5 we have Sweet Treats and Royal Delights and The Symphony of a Winning Lyrist, both by JaketheGinger. The latest chapters are finished and posted, but neither story is complete. Still waiting on Jake to fork over the next couple of chapters for my (and all the other editors) raving dismemberments.
I've been wonder what was up with Winning Agent. Good to know it's still alive.
I'm glad you like Gunnar. Like everything else in that story, my brain wouldn't let me keep it simple. I couldn't just do an OC character, but had to go and do an entire new race, just so I could have one bad accent for one chapter. Ever since I first read Lauren Faust's comment that she'd wanted "Viking Caribou" though, I knew I had to go there, and I definitely plan to return. There will be more of the Caribou (and Gunnar) in future stories.
