On Writing and Storytelling · 6:50pm Oct 13th, 2013
As some of you might be aware, I write fan fiction more or less as a pastime. Something I enjoy doing for the sake of getting pesky little ideas onto digital paper so that people can see them. However, as both my mother and my English teachers are glad to point out, I could have potential as a storyteller, if I decided to do this as a full-time thing and become a full-blown author.
To this end, on this fateful day, on DeviantART, one Brazilian Deviant I've been following by the name of sandyeye101010 (Whom some of you may recognize as the author of the absolutely amazing Human in Equestria web comic "The Beast of Old") showed me this, which is a MOOC (Massive Open Online Course) on storytelling.
This course will be from October 25, 2013 to December 20, 2013, and is meant to be interdisciplinary. The only thing you really need to apply for this course is a basic understanding of the English Language and some free time. It is a free course, and is meant to help us understand things like Protagonist/Antagonist relationships, Narrated/Narrative time, etc.
The reason I'm making a post about is is the fact that I have enrolled in this course, and it will most likely take up much of my time. It will probably eat a lot of time for writing horse words for you guys. In fact, I may not even participate in the NaNoWriMo because of it. Thus, while you're waiting for me to come out with Chapter 6 of Wrapped or Chapter 9 of Hand in Hoof, I invite you to come along and learn with me. Perhaps, by the end, we'll all come out of it ready to really buckle down and become real storytellers.
For those who missed it the first time, here's a link to the course itself.
Go for it, my student!

Aw. Thanks, Ms. Wet. Makes me feel real proud.
Sounds interesting to be sure. I will give it a look see.
