    Another update post. (unenthused yay)

So I recently released 2 new fic on the site and am still planning on updating EOD in the near future. The reason I haven't updated it is:
    1) Pressure to preform, I want to make sure people like it but I also want it to be fun for me so stressing out over it has kept me from moving forward as fast as I would have liked.

    Updates (Stories and more)

Okay so I'm still working on EQG:EOD, it's just that I have a very acute case of procrastination, or more scientifically lazyf*ckingassitis, and so work is a little slow on it right now. Just have to write the last three scenes and it'll be done, structurally anyways.

    78

    78.

There are 78 Pegasuses in Ponyville.

    How do I know? Math.

    First some assumptions:
1)All Pegasus able to fly participated in the collection of Cloudsdale water,
    2) All capable children were included. So no Pound Cake or Scootaloo.

    Fluttershy's Key?

So I was watching Rainbow Falls and saw the rainbow power box key when I realized that this was probably how everyone was going to get their key, by not conforming to their element, having shit happen to them and coming to the realization that their friends and their said element are important and then they would be given a key by a non-Mane 6 cast member whom was inspired by said character's

Enemy of the World and the Web of Fear

So, what are The Enemy of the World and The Web of Fear, you may be asking yourself? If you claim to be a Whovian and are asking, please hand in your credentials. Just kidding.

Similarites between Dr. Who and MLP · 6:00am Sep 11th, 2013

So as I've previously stated, I'm a Doctor Who fan. In fact, right now it's my favorite TV show (although that's not very impressive cause I only watch around 6-7 shows.) And I am a big fan of MLP which is really great since there is a decent amount of overlap in the fandoms (personally I think a lot of bronies are also whovian more so than the other way around, but whatever.) And being a fan of both, I really notice a lot of similarities between the two shows, but there is one that takes the cake and that is how similar Equestria Girls is to The Last of the Time Lords.

Now hear (or read) me out. I know that the tone and setting are different and the character interactions are played a rounded with and it isn't copy and paste and what not, but on the surface these two stories share a lot in common. So where to begin? With a list of course!

(Now for the sake of this comparison, I will be considering Equestria Girls (EG) as a story canon in the show and part of season 3 (June is closer to February than November). Also, when I say The Last of the Time Lords (LOTTL), I mean the story arc with the Master's return, from Utopia to the Last of the Time Lords[episode].)

Story
Both are a three parter at the end of season 3.
Both have a lot of filler material before actual confrontation and resolution of the plot (EG, high school plot, LOTTL, most of Utopia, a fair portion of Sound of Drums and middle section of LOTTL(episode)).
Interesting plot points are brought up though exposition ,i.e. villain's background
First third is best part.
Both reintroduce concepts to the franchise (EG, humans, LOTTL, The Master)
Villian
Both are arragont self absorbed non-humans pretending to be human to advance their respective plots.
Both have a connection which make them similar to our main protagonist (SS being Celestia student like Twilight, The Master being a renegade Time Lord, like the Doctor).
Both have mind control powers
Both desire power for its own sake
Villain starts out extremely interesting, changes, becomes more standard card-carrying villain. (yes, I'm more of a fan of Derek Jacobi as the Master than John Simm.)
Villian's plan
Both attempt to use humans as fighting force to takeover world/universe
Both enslave humanity for a short time
Both require the use of some magic McGuffin (the mirror and crown in EG, the TARDIS and paradox machine in TOTTL)
Both succeed for at the plan for a time
Resolution
Both villains are defeated by a glowing magically empowered protagonist.
Said protagonist is filled with positive aspects of life that villain said were unimportant/useless/make one weak, etc.
Protagonist power up done thought poorly explained execution ( EG, elements just work for some reason, TOTTL, the Doctor can mind hack satellites, become young, and use the Force all from people's hope)
Protagonist befriends villain (or at least attempts to) by forgiving them for what they did.
Both stories have ending where everything is reset and it's like the story never even happened. (EG, only Spike and Twilight actually go thought portal, so no one else would get any reference to EG so no need to bring it up in the regular show. LOTTL, universe goes back in time one year, everything just seen in episode never happened.)

Now are there differences? OF COURSE THERE ARE!!! ONE HAS MAGIC SAILOR MOON TRANSFORMATION AND THE OTHER HAS FLYING METAL DEATH TRAP CONTAINING HUMANITY FROM THE END OF THE UNIVERSE!!!! So, yeah, I know it's not a perfect comparison. The villain in LOTTL gets shot and dies (for the time), leaving the Doctor emotionally scared (though that really wasn't hard to do with ten) while in EG, Sunset is forgiven and all is well at the end. So the real question is, which one do I like more? Now since Doctor Who is my favorite show, you might think I'd go to it instantly, and indeed I like it more the EG but I wasn't just going to give Dr. Who the benefit of the doubt. There are two reasons why LOTTL beats EG. One, Utopia, great episode, (others not as much [in my opinion, they're not bad though]), Two, it longer, EG is 74 minutes LOTTL is 135 and you get a better setup and payoff with that extra time. Yeah, there's a decent explanation I didn't chose other reasons for liking LOTTL over EG but then I'd have to go into talking about the RTD era of the show and why it isn't as good as people tend to remember it and that's a whole other blog post right there.

I still like the RTD era, just so you know.
Also, about EOD, got chapter 5 done, is being proofread.
