Cutie Mark Crusaders Troop #185 Looking for Players · 10:16am Sep 10th, 2013

I'm going to begin running a campaign of Unknown Ponies: Failure is Awesome soon, over on Roll20. The LFP listing for the campaign is here. That page includes a brief overview of the campaign's setting, as well as a couple links with system information.

You can request an invitation to the campaign by posting in the campaign's LFP forum, on the same page. Registration on Roll20 is free for a base-level account. Because I created the campaign and I'm a mentor-level account, everyone in the campaign gets to benefit from several of the mentor-level perks. :raritywink:

There will be an informational/character creation session this upcoming Saturday (9/14); I will be online most of the day. One of the items of discussion will be what date/time the regular campaign sessions will take place. If you're interested in the campaign but can't make it on Saturday, make a post in the campaign's forum (not the campaign's LFP forum; you'll see the regular forum once you accept the invite).

Unknown Ponies is a d% game system, designed to play as blank flanks. This campaign takes place several generations in the future of the show; the players are members of troop #185 of the Cutie Mark Crusaders organization, the legacy of AB/SB/Scoots. In addition to the base three pony types, kelpies are open for play.

I think I would like to try, but are there any other restrictions or rules beyond what is listed here that you can share since I have zero idea what the unknown setting is like?

I welcome new players! This will be my second time running a game based on Unknown Armies, and the first time I've run a game online, so I'll be learning some things, too.

Unknown Ponies is a system based on Unknown Armies; the setting, however, is in Equestria. This specific campaign is taking place in the future, by a few generations. (With the exception of the immortal characters, all of the show's cast has died of old age.)

You can find the Unknown Ponies book on Erin Palette's blog, Lurking Rhythmically (Erin Palette created Unknown Ponies). You can find a preview of the Unknown Armies book (including the majority of the section for the players) on Atlas Games' website.

The campaign forum (visible once you join the campaign) has several threads instructing players on rules, from character creation to combat (including a quote from the UA book, "Six Ways to Stop a Fight").

1341488 Ah okay, thank you. I did look through the series of what was there, the kelpie appealing to me of the choices in question. I'll log in with the roll 20 account then to read more.
