Editing Hiatus · 3:46am Aug 4th, 2013
It is 5:32 AM. I'm in bed and typing on my phone. Why? Because for the first time in like three weeks I've actually read something. Don't get me wrong, I've read plenty of stuff recently, but - with only a few exceptions - those were all stories I've edited or otherwise had something to do with behind the scenes.
Unfortunately, despite enjoying my job as editor, it eats up so much time and energy that I don't feel like using the free time I have from editing MLP fiction for reading MLP fiction. Yeah, I actually have a cap for ponies. Stunning, isn't it?
So yeah, the Read Later list - which even has stuff on it which was there since the day I joined FIMFiction - will be my primary 'project' for the next few days.
During that time I will not do any editing. I may preread stuff, but that's it.
Of course this won't last forever, and I'll soon be open for fixing your shitty English as German, but for now, I'll avoid it (unless you can give me a 'very' good reason to edit that instant for you). :V
I can't find the edit button on FIMFiction's mobile version for blogs, so I'll just post it here.
Update #1 (6:04 AM): It's coming along nicely. After a little bit of cleanup and hunting down some of the short stories, I managed to get my Read Later list down from 30 to 23. Thresholds will be smaller and smaller from here on, as I will tackle increasingly longer stories with time. All I can say is that I hope to be done by next week.
