Within and Without is a season 1 adventure-drama-ship fic that goes a little darker than my usual stuff. It is the second pony fic I wrote, and due to sheer length (21 chapters/140k words) it's probably my "magnum opus" - for whatever that term's worth outside of pretentious prattle.
This Saturday, I'll upload the first four chapters of Within and Without to FimF, followed by another four chapters every week until I'm done. I'm doing this in an attempt to force myself to finish editing this and actually post it up here; I have the first 12 chapters edited and "done", but I can't seem to get started on the rest. Hopefully this will give me the push I need to finish this edit pass, even if it's mostly just phrasing and spelling. As a bonus, perhaps its length won't seem half as intimidating to anypony on the fence with regards to reading it.
For those who already read Within and Without and happened to like it, I'm planning a second epilogue of sorts just to add something to the story now that it's going to be on FimF. It's just a little blurb set before the current true epilogue. I still want to do Winter Sun's story, too, but that'll have to wait a bit.
For those who haven't read this story - assuming this sounds like your thing at all - I hope you'll consider joining me and Luna on a journey across Equestria and beyond! I'm kind of looking forward to reading it again myself, and I can promise you lots of travel and cartloads of emotions.
In other news: I have the follow-up story to Where Earth Meets Sky all but done, pending final edits/posting. I just need to decide whether to do it as a new set of chapters for WEMS or as a separate story. I also need to figure out how to do it with regards to EqD and get the cover art, well, covered!
In the meantime, I'm going to busy myself with editing W&W/O and starting on a short-ish FlutterDash adventure-ship with Spitfire. The story was supposed to be SpitDash, but the latest episode really made me want to do a FlutterDash fic. Besides, I figured out how to keep all the delicious emotions and ideas I wanted for the SpitDash and make it into a FlutterDash that's twice as sweet because of this. I can't wait!

I will look forward to your stories, Cloudy Skies! As a bonus; if you'd like, I'm up for reviewing/editing your stories. I won't be able to do nearly as in depth as EqD editors or anyone else, but I can surely strike out the wrinkles and any misspellings that happen to be there, as well as punctuation errors.
But, I may take awhile in getting back to you since I tend to be a bit busy. Or messing around too much. Either way, I'm available and willing to put my time into it when I can,

Awesome. As I said I prefer my shipping blended in to a larger framework, preferably adventure or comedy. Within and Without is by far my favorite Adventure + Shipping fic.

Yay! More Cloudy words. Maybe I will find time to finally go over the whole thing and comment instead of just the first 6 chapters.
Also, you should totally post [REDACTED] as its own FimF story (regardless of what you do on EqD). It and WEMS are each self contained. They are connected, but then again so were Off the Edge of the Map and Apotheosis. FWIW, I am in favor of posting it as its own story on EqD too. If you want justification/reasons we'll talk later. I'll try to speed up and get
done so I can do the art. I have gotten some amazing tips on Illustrator so a full vector piece is totally not out of the question (and might actually speed up drawing that building).
I am always in favor of more Cloudyfic.
Definitely something that should go to EqD, because frankly your fics need good publicity, and even if I'm not a huge fan of the place, EqD gets a lot of eyes on things.

50025 Oh dear, "done"? That makes it sound like I intend to do an extensive rewrite! I don't intend to do much except iron out the last of the awkward phrases and errors, I think! I've gone through the prologue and the first two chapters just now, and while I've fixed and improved a few little things here and there, I also realize that it would be folly to rewrite everything to fit my current "style". For instance, I used to be far better at not denoting who has the dialogue where it's obvious. Almost afraid of poking at it.

As far as reading others' stuff, I must admit I scarcely even have time to read fics by my favorite authors because I'm too busy writing. That, and I'm a terrible source of feedback. All the same, feel free to send me a PM!

Within and Without, with bonus content? This pleases the Gravekeeper. I'm a bit surprised it's actually that long; it certainly didn't feel like it when I read it--a credit to your excellent storytelling. Can't wait to read your coming stories, keep up the good work!
