This is certainly strange. As you probably know, the Equestria Girls movie trailer came out recently, and of course, bronies are showing equal amounts of casual optimism (which served us well in the Season 3 Finale, though depending on whether or not you were okay with Twilicorn, YMMV) and butthurt.
Now, on to the strangeness of this.
In the trailer, it depicts Twilight's future boyfriend (because we all know they're gonna get together at prom, yadda yadda yadda typical Disney movie nonsense), as being a white-gold colored (like normal flesh) guy with blue eyes a spiky two-toned blue mane. One of those colors being a light, electric blue. He also has a penchant for black coats.
Well, for those of you familiar with The Apprentice, the Student, and the Charlatan, Nova Shine is a white unicorn, with untidy electric blue mane and equally blue eyes. Oh, and he has a penchant for black traveling cloaks (well, more like badass cloaks in general, but his is still close to black).
Disregarding knighty's theory (which made me burst out laughing), and letting you all know that this is, of course, far-fetched speculation that is less likely to happen than me winning the $500 Million lottery, Twilight's future boyfriend will hereafter be referred to as human!Nova Shine (which really bugs me, considering a plot to a sequel that has been in my head for some time now). They battle Maleficent Sunset Shimmer at high school prom, because she wants Nova Shine to herself and Nova throws a sword into her chest, Elements of Harmony happen, Twilight uses Mirror Pool to clone herself so one her can stay with Nova, while the other half can go and run Equestria, and she finds a secret power with the pool that involves her switching places whenever she wants.
Everypony wins, the audience cringes at cheesy terribad resolution, critics pan the movie, all bronies suffer renewed public ridicule, and I sob in the corner and mutter that I hate it when I'm right to myself for days.
