Story updates and another request. · 6:29pm Jan 28th, 2013
Hey everyone, how are you all? Just here to give another update on my stories, as well as make another request.
First off, ‘An Expression Of Love’. The story is at full steam ahead (hehe) and chapter 5 is in its editing stages, while chapter 6 has been started.
Next is ‘Last of the Dragonlords: A Good Mare Goes To War’. I worked on the first chapter all afternoon yesterday, and I can say right now that I have finished it in its entirety.
The bad news is it’s in a rough way, and might take a while to edit it and make it all go smoothly together and make it so heartbreaking you want to cry. And because chapter 2 is a quarter of the way done, and it would make more sense if both chapters came out at the same time.
Which brings me to the request (I don’t ask much, do I?). I would like to have an editor(s) and proofreaders for this story, to look for grammar mistakes that I missed, typos, that sort of thing. If any of you are free and able to help then I would gladly accept it.
The first story, I believe, suffered mostly because of my grammar mistakes and the lack of an editor certainly helped that suffering.
Therefore, an editor (or more, if one can’t do it) for this one would be a great help, and could help me out to see what I’m doing wrong and correct me.
Anyway, I think that’s everything. I’m off now to look at the tactics used at the battle of Sekigahara for some reason.
Hope to hear from you all soon. Thanks for watching once more, you guys (or girls) rock! Woohoo.
If you have a buffer of chapters (more than one already written), don't release them all at once. Instead, release them at a fairly constant pace to give yourself time to write more chapters. It's less frustrating for readers when they get fairly regular updates instead of "3 chapters at once, wait 2 months without seeing anything, then 'oh look new chapter!'"
What was suppose to be after the and?
761952 Fair point, but I am also writing chapter 3 as well, and I don't exactly write fast so it's hard to say when they would be out.
761955 Darn it I'll go and finish that bit in.
761962 New avatar?
761962 So, when the firt chapter has been edited and proofed, publish it. Then when the second has been edited and proofed, wait a few days. You don't have to have all of the chapters prewritten, just give a few days between publishing chapters that you do have done. I know that's what I should've done... *goes off to continue writing story.*
761967 Yep, found it on bronyland, it was too cute to pass by.
761968 I understand that, and that's sort of what I'm doing with this one, but I want to be careful so I don't rush it and comes out horrible (I tend to do that when I'm in a rush). Thanks for the advice, and good luck with writing your story.
761983 I didn't mean to imply that you should rush the chapters or anything. You can't rush awesomeness.
761989 I know you didn't, sorry if it seemed that way. It's just something I do when I do somthing in one entire day (like how the first chapter is looking right now ). But I will try and keep a regular update on this one, providing everthing goes okay and the univeristy course I'm signing up for doesn't get in the way too much (if I get in).
762035 That's okay, thanks anyway
762299 It's a good idea, but unfortunately I'm not that fast, and with another story being written and my college work, my writng slows down even more.
You can always ask me for help.
762430 Oh thank you, I appreciate all the help I can get. It will be a while, though, as I want to go through some bits.
I would gladly help, I have great reading skills, (As in reading quite fast and retaining, I've read 200k word stories in a few hours) And would be willing to do any pointing and give any opinions if you needed.
762596 That would be fantastic, thank you. I'll probably send you a PM when it's ready and such.
762607 I'll just be glad to be of use.
762613 I'm sure you will be.
762618
I would love to help!
763157 Brilliant. Like I said earlier I would appreciate all the help I can get. Thanks for the offer.
