Alright, you guys got me feeling guilty for not updating the story in a while. YOU BASTARDS!!!
As such, I decided that the least I could do was give a sort of sit-rep on how the chapter is going. Especially considering I'm getting a few complaints and passive aggressive PMs. You know, just for future reference, if you have a problem with my story and/or pace of release, I prefer a message that reads 'fuck you' rather than the whole passive aggressive thing. They're just so much more personal, you know? It makes me feel like you guys care. Barring that, a good ol' death threat can make an acceptable substitute.
Anyways, the chapter is over 7,000 words so far. All that was written in the last two days. Hopefully it will be finished by tomorrow, at which time it will be sent to my editors. I do not plan for it to go exceed 10,000 words, but then again I expected it to be done by now so it probably will. The reason for my slow writing was that I was suffering from a case of writer's block. I even scrapped the chapter early on, and had to start everything from scratch. I'm on a bit of a role now though, so it should be finished by tomorrow at best, but will probably be done by Monday. Worst case scenario, I'll get through with it by the end of next week.
And...yeah, that's all. Oh, and I also plan on using this here blog a little more often, and not just to update my story progress (or to make birthday announcements).

It's depressing how seriously some people take pony fanfiction
Wow, people are seriously badgering you for updates? That's kinda sad, first off they should have something better to do than read pony fanfiction, second that sort of treatment and pressure can really harm the creative process and lead to lower quality or a creator losing interest altogether.
Seriously it's like a lot of the people in this fandom can't pick up the morals from the show that are designed so small children can understand them.

I mean, there's over 70,000 stories on this site alone. I'm fairly sure at least a couple of these should be decent

707675 That may be true, but we all are diferent readers. Some want to enjoy GOOD and WELL written HiE stories, others want shippings between the mane 6, and others want to hear spikes story. there may be over 70,000 stories. but we are all looking for that story that makes it worth waiting days to read. And what is there to read after you read all the good ones? suffer while you read one that you dislike?

I don't think you realise how massive 70,000 stories are. Especially when you have 500,000 word giants like End of Ponies.
And more are being written as we speak.

There's no lack of good stories here.
And once you've somehow read all the good ones, all however many tens of thousands of them, you know what you can do?
Anything.
You don't have to spend your day reading stories about technicolour equines invented to shift toys to little girls.
You could write one of your own, fly a kite, start a war, whatever floats your boat.
Hell, there are even more ponyfics on other sites. Like "It's a Dangerous Business, Going Out Your Door" (an absolute classic, btw).
The loss of a single story on a single site is not going to destroy you, as you're acting like it will.

708780 I see your good point sir, but I enjoy deeply reading. And some of the stories in here fill my thirst for exciting new stories. I have been trying to write a story but ive never actually gotten down in writing it. and there are other stories out there! but I haven't found them yet that's all.
And the main reason im a bit overeating over this story si because its one of the few stories that are beautifully written and I enjoy allot.

Seriously. When it comes to stories, I'm a really picky bastard. To me, Past Sins was dull, My Little Dashie was predictable, and Cupcakes was just plain boring. And yet here I am, with 78 unread favourites and 122 stories on my Read Later. And I know people with over a thousand in both of those categories.
Trust me, you're not gonna run out of stories to read any time soon.
