So I'm super-tired right now, having literally raced to the deadline to get this sucker done. But I did it!

Three. Contest. Entries.

TTill Death Do Us Party
What happens when “Love conquers all!” meets “Till death do us part…”?

Man, is it possible to be pumped-up and totally dog-tired at the same time? Coz that's what it feels like.

Blog Number 239: Master Thrower Edition

So yeah, this means not only have I met minimum standards (i.e. last year's publication rate of three stories in a year), but they're more substantial stories this time around too, and this year has been (behind-the-scenes) more productive than 2022 overall. Good signs, good signs! :yay:

Also, no fancy-schmancy digital painting for this one. Just a good old-fashioned screenshot approach. Geez, writing it with everything else piling up around me was tough enough. I didn't have an extra five or six hours to mess around on some cheap-as-cheese-slices image software. Besides, the subject matter isn't as AU-far-out with this one, so that simplifies matters.

Anyway, for those who think my prior two entries were a bit too dour, well, here's a more traditional comedy! Involving Death and spousal grief and the implacable grind of soul-crushing determinism! It's a laugh riot, you guys! :derpytongue2:

😪😴💤 OK, but seriously, I need to sleep now. I'll be back later on, at the very least once I feel refreshed and reinvigorated.

Also, I apologize in advance for any of the potential inaccuracies that people who know Dungeons and Dragons first-hand can call out in my in-story depiction of Ogres and Oubliettes. I'm not gonna pretend this was, like, cutting-edge research on my part, and I'm sorry for missing some good tricks there. I'd like to do it rigorous justice next time.

OK, that's all for now. Impossible Numbers, out.

You should have seen the planning stage. I feel like that King of Swamp Castle guy from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, who goes on about all the castles that sank into the swamp, and then proudly adds, "But the fourth one STAYED UP!!!!"

Well, if the results are anywhere near as good as Cry, Wolf, it will have been worth all the sunken castles!
