With Pinkie facing an inevitable demise, what havoc will Pinkamena cause when unleashed?
Pinkie Pie hasn't been feeling like herself lately, and she is soon struck with the unbelievable truth that she is slowly losing control of herself... to herself. Pinkamena, her dark and twisted side, has awoken from her slumber in the recesses of Pinkie's mind. With Pinkie shocked of the fact that her own split personality has a mind of it's own, she is faced with an impossible challenge. Will she be able to overcome Pinkamena's control? Or lose herself to the unnerving power that she contains?
This is my first fic and I am open to all kinds of feedback from everypony. So as i can make this story as enjoyable as possible.
Twilight jumped as she was awoken by someone who was banging quite loudly on her door.
"Auggghh," Twilight groaned, pulling the covers over her head, trying to ignore whoever it was and go back to sleep.
BANG! BANG! BANG! BANG!
"Oh for the love of-- Spike! Spiiike!" Twilight yelled. "Spike, go downstairs and see who's at the door. All this banging is giving me a headache"
"Ugh, alright alright... You don't have to yell you know, I do sleep right across from you" Spike said.
Spike walked downstairs wearily, rubbing his eyes trying to wake up.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
"Alright alright enough with the banging I'm opening it n-" Spike said.
Just as Spike was about to open the door, it flew open and whacked him right in the face, causing him to fly backwards into the bookshelves. Then their visitor trotted inside, it was Pinkie Pie of course, who else would be this energetic that early in the morning?
"Twilight! Spike! Where are you guys! I'm throwing a party later today and you guys are invited!" Pinkie exclaimed. "Guys? GUYS WHERE ARE YOUUUUU?" Pinkie asked repeatedly.
Spike emerged from the pile of books that had fallen form when he crashed into the bookshelves.
"Ughh my head... oh it's you Pinkie Pie, I should have guessed it'd be you, you're the only one in Ponyville who is actually awake at this time anyway." Spike said.
"Well duhh, how else could i get all my invitations out to everyone before the party started?" Pinkie said. "Oh! and by the way Spike, you really shouldn't be sleeping on the floor, it isn't the most comfortable spot to take a nap silly head!"
"Thanks for the advice Pinkie, I don't know what I'd do without you," Spike said sarcastically
"Spike! Spike! Are you alright? I heard a loud noise before and I thought you might be in trou-" Twilight said, running down the stairs. "Oh Spike what did you DO!?!?"
"Wha? No! it wasn't me Twilight it was Pinkie Pie! She just ran in and pushed me into the bookshelf!" Spike said.
"Hi Twilight! I want to tell you tha-" Pinkie said.
"Not now Pinkie, give me a minute." Twilight demanded. "No excuses Spike, now clean up this mess right now and PLEASE be more careful next time."
"Fine fine, no one ever listens to me around here..." Spike whispered to himself.
"Alright now that that's taken care of, what brings you here so early Pinkie?" Twilight asked.
"Well what I was going to say before is that you and Spike are invited to the party i'm throwing later today!" Pinkie said.
"Oh a party? That sounds great! I've been researching on a few things now for the past few days and I could really use a break." Twilight said.
"Great! Great! GREAT! Oh it's going to be so much fun! All our friends will be there to! Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Da- Ouch!" Pinkie said, grasping her head.
"What's wrong Pinkie?" Twilight asked
"Oh it's nothing, my head just hurts from time to time now for some reason, not sure why though... *Gasp* could it be that I've been lacking in eating sweets?" Pinkie said. "It must be! There's no other explanation!"
"I'm pretty sure you've been eating enough sweets Pinkie" Twilight said. "If anything you've been eating too much..."
"What was that Twilight?" Pinkie said.
"Oh nothing, but anyway you should be careful, especially if it's been happening often now." Twilight said.
"Okie Dokie Lokie!" Pinkie sang.
"Well, after Spike finishes fixing all the books, we'll get ready to see you later." Twilight said.
"Okay Twilight! Can't wait till then! Oh I know it's just going to be so much fu- Ouch!" Pinkie said.
"Try to take it easy okay? We don't know how serious that headache is." Twilight said
"Yea alright Twilight, see ya later!" Pinkie said, hopping out of the house.
Pinkie went to all her friends houses and invited them as well, she then bounced back to Sugarcube Corner to get everything all set up for the party.
Pinkie bolted to the door after finishing up with the last of the decorations.
"Hi everyone! Glad you could make it! This is going to be so much FUN!" Pinkie screamed
"Aww shucks Pinkie Pie, you know we wouldn't have missed it for the world" Applejack said
"Definitely! When Pinkie Pie throws a party, I'm always there!" Rainbow Dash said
They all trotted in, everyone excited since Pinkie's parties are always a blast.
"I must say Pinkie Pie, I absolutely love with what you did with the decor, it's just wonderful!" Rarity said
"Oh Rarity thanks! I did spruce it up a bit from last time, this time I put more balloons and more streamers! I didn't think you would notice!" Pinkie said happily
"Oh uh yes! Of course! That's exactly what i was talking about hehehe" Rarity said nervously
"Oh um.. yes Pinkie.. It's.. really nice, and I'm sure we'll um.. have so much more fun now.." Fluttershy said quietly
"Well come on everypony! What are we waiting for? LETS PAR- Ouch!" Pinkie said, grasping her head again.
"Oh Pinkie, your still not feeling better? I told you to take it easy." Twilight said
"Wait, what's wrong with Pinkie Pie?" Every other pony asked.
"Gahh, it's nothing guys, it's just a little headache is all, I'm sure it's nothing serious... Ouch!" Pinkie squealed.
"It looks like it's happening more frequent now, maybe we should reschedule this party for some other time and let you rest." Twilight suggested
"WHAT? Reschedule one of my parties!? I could never do such a thing! especially when I put so much work into putting this one together!" Pinkie exclaimed. "Come on everyone, don't worry about me, I'll be fine! Lets all just enjoy ourselves now!
"Well, if you say so Pinkie" Applejack said
"Just don't get too crazy, okay Pinkie?" Twilight said
"Yea yea alright Twilight, come on everyone! LETS PARTY!" Pinkie yelled
Throughout the night, Pinkie had a constant headache, and it was getting worse every minute.
-Later that night-
"Woo! Man! That was great Pinkie! You really sure do know how to throw a good party!" Rainbow Dash said
Every other pony agreed and they all had an amazing time.
"Now remember Pinkie, please try and take it easy, rest for a while now, you need to give yourself a break." Twilight said worriedly.
"Alright Twilight, I'll go to sleep now." Pinkie said. "But the minute I'm feeling better, lets have another party to celebrate my recovery!"
"You really are something else Pinkie" Twilight sighed, and everyone else laughed in agreement.
"Well see ya later Pinkie, feel better!" Fluttershy said.
"Bye guys! Thanks for coming!" Pinkie exclaimed.
Pinkie Pie shut the door and looked at the mess they made of the place.
"I don't think Mr. and Mrs. Cake will mind, after all it was for my good friends!" Pinkie said.
Pinkie trotted upstairs to her bedroom and started to get ready to go to sleep.
"Ouch! Ouch! OUCH!" Pinkie cried, grasping her head tighter and tighter. "Dang, my head has been feeling worse and worse lately, hopefully with some sleep it'll stop eventually"
Pinkie took a quick shower before heading to bed, hoping that the hot water would soothe the pain in her head, even if it was just a little bit, but she felt no different. The pain just kept getting worse and worse.
"Argggh, Oh man this is killing me now! It feels like someone is drilling into my head and it's unbearable!" Pinkie yelled
The pain kept intensifying until it finally reached it's peak, the pain was unfathomable.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Pinkie screamed. "MAKE IT STOP, MAKE IT STOP PLEASE!"
And at that moment she felt a sharp snap in her head.
"Huh?" Pinkie said
Following the snap, the pain stopped, it stopped all together. She no longer felt the excruciating headache she was feeling before.
"Wha.. What just happened.. my head.. it.. doesn't hurt anymore?" Pinkie questioned. "Hmmm... Oh well! At least that's over with! Time for bed!"
As Pinkie laid her head down, she drifted off into sleep.. Then.. she started dreaming.
-Unknown Realm-
"Huh?" Pinkie said. "Wh- Where am I?"
It was dark, dark all around, No light whatsoever to illuminate her way. Pinkie started to worry, she had no idea where she was, getting scared, she looked all around as hard as she could to see if there was even the slightest detail as to where she was, then she saw it.
"What the?" Pinkie said. "Are those... chains?"
Pinkie noticed that the entire area was surrounded by chains, it almost looked like some sort of prison. Pinkie focused more and looked around, until she noticed.. that there was something.. someone in the center of it all, where all the chains connected. It looked like all the chains met in one spot to form, what seemed to be, a coffin like figure, and underneath it. She saw it. She saw her. A pony with a mane just like hers, only darker and flowing down, covering half of her face. She also had no cutiemark, it was blank, nothing. Nothing at all.
Pinkie was confused, and struck with fear, having no idea what's going on. Then the dark pony stood up, turned around, and looked straight at her.
"Wha- What the? Pinkie said.
...
"Hello there...Pinkie Pie.. and welcome.." The Dark Pony said
"Wh-Who are you!? Where am I anyway!?" Pinkie asked frantically.
"Hehehe... It's really quite funny you know, watching you act all helpless and scared for once." The Dark Pony said. "It's things like that that amuse me so, Pinkie."
"Hey! I asked who you are, and how do you even know my name anyway!?" Pinkie said.
The Dark Pony was silent.
"HEY! I ASKED WHO ARE YOU" Pinkie yelled.
The Dark Pony turned around slowly and looked at Pinkie.
"You still don't get it do you? You have absolutely no idea who I am or where we are..." The Dark Pony said.
"Why should I??" Pinkie said. "All I remember was going to bed after a party I had with my friends!"
"I thought I could have more fun with this... but I guess that's not going to happen, considering how clueless you are..." The Dark Pony said.
The Dark Pony turned around completely and started to walk towards Pinkie Pie, until Pinkie could finally see with the utmost clarity who it was.
"You're... Me?" Pinkie said completely shocked.
"Well look who finally put the pieces together, I must say it took you long enough." The Dark Pony said. "But your only half right I'm afraid, I am you but at the same time... I'm not"
Pinkie stood there frozen, trying to figure out what the hay was going on.
"You can call me Pinkamena."
"Pinkamena? But isn't that still my name?" Pinkie questioned.
"You don't go by that name anymore do you? No, everyone calls you Pinkie Pie now correct? You abandoned that name a long time ago... So I decided to take it in your place." Pinkamena said.
"That doesn't make much sense..." Pinkie said. "But wait! That doesn't explain where I even am, how am I even talking to myself in the first place!?"
Pinkamena sighed with annoyance.
"Alright, I'm going to say this in a way that even you couldn't possibly get confused." Pinkamena said. "Right now, at this very moment, we are inside the very recesses of your mind. The deepest parts to be specific."
"I am your... other personality, the one you decided to just throw away! AND LOCK UP IN THE DARKEST AND MOST DEEPEST PARTS OF YOUR MIND!" Pinkamena yelled. "We were once one, a long time ago when you were just a filly. But ever since you laid eyes on the sonic rainboom that occurred that one fateful day. All you wanted to do was make others happy, to always be happy! TO ALWAYS SMILE!"
"You subconsciously threw away the part of you that holds anger, jealously, sadness..." Pinkamena listed. "Madness..."
Pinkamena took a short pause to control herself.
"I am what you threw away, I have been trapped here for longer than you can imagine...held prisoner by the chains you see all around you... But not anymore" Pinkamena said eerily.
Pinkie sat there for a moment and tried to understand everything.
"Sooo what your saying is your the bad part of me?" Pinkie questioned.
"Putting it shortly yes." Pinkamena said.
"Well that's all you had to say silly! You didn't have to get into that long, boring, explanation you know!" Pinkie said while laughing a bit.
Pinkamena looked at Pinkie furiously with her blood red eyes.
"THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I HATE ABOUT YOU, YOU DON'T TAKE ANYTHING SERIOUSLY AND IT'S SO IRRITATING!" Pinkamena screamed. "Doesn't the fact that your inside your own mind, or the fact that your talking to yourself! Scare you in even the least!?"
"Mmmm nope! Not anymore, It's actually pretty cool!" Pinkie said.
Pinkamena just stood there, quiet. Her face flushed red with anger and disgust.
...
"Well, It doesn't matter to me anymore about how you feel." Pinkamena said. "Soon... I'll be the one in control, and you'll take my spot in that coffin you see over there."
"Being trapped here for so long, It's done things to me... Anger, Hate, Insanity." Pinkamena listed. "It's all that goes through my head now, stronger than ever."
Pinkamena took a short pause, then looked back at Pinkie.
"You think you're special don't you Pinkie? What with being mystery to your friends, your ability to break the fourth wall, your speed and agility, and your... Pinkie senses?" Pinkamena said. "You probably don't know this, but you wouldn't be capable of any of this! If it wasn't for me!"
"I hold all that power, that of which you control is but merely a drop of what I can really do." Pinkamena continued. "More power than you could possibly imagine..."
Pinkamena then remained quiet for a short time.
"Soo if you really do have all this power that's so unbelievable! Why don't you just escape this "prison" whenever you want?" Pinkie questioned.
"Are you that stupid? Did you not hear me before? This is a prison, not only does it keep me trapped physically, but mentally as well." Pinkamena said. "But not anymore... you probably had an awful headache before correct?" Pinkamena asked.
"Yea I did, were... you the one who was causing it?" Pinkie asked.
"I've been here for so long, I've had plenty of time to build up my strength, until it was just enough to break out of that coffin of chains that have kept me trapped here for so long." Pinkamena said. "That headache you felt before... Yes, that was me, struggling and using every ounce of strength I could gather to break out... and it looks like I succeeded." Pinkamena said.
Pinkie became frightened, thinking about what would happen if Pinkamena got out completely.
"Sadly though, there is still the wall that stops my escape..." Pinkamena said. "However, the outer layer is much, much weaker than what was holding me... and I think I have more than enough power to break out of it with ease."
"What will happen when you get out? Will you become part of me again?" Pinkie asked.
"Part of you? I've been stuck here for longer than you can imagine and your asking if I'll be part of you again?" Pinkamena said.
"Well, then what will you do?" Pinkie asked.
"Hehehe... what will I do you ask?" Pinkamena said. "Seeing the world through your eyes, I think it's really quite appalling, disgusting in fact... So I think I'll do what I've been planning to do, with all this built up anger, and hate, and blood lust... I'm going to take my revenge on everyone out there! On Ponyville, on Canterlot, on all of Equestria!"
Pinkamena stood there laughing manically, her eyes and ears twitching in abnormal ways.
"What!? You're CRAZY IF YOU THINK I'M GOING TO LET YOU OUT OF HERE AND HARM ANYONE AT ALL! YOUR STAYING HERE AND NOT GOING ANYWHERE!" Pinkie declared.
"Oh Pinkie Pie, I think it's adorable how your trying to stop me... but your not the one who's in control now." Pinkamena said.
Pinkie felt the floor was getting wet, and it was rising. It was a deep red-like substance... It was blood. Pinkie became terrified, figuring out what to do, she looked back up at Pinkamena.
"What's wrong Pinkie?" Pinkamena said. "Feeling a little scared are we?"
Pinkamena's eye became pure black, with only her deep red pupils illuminating her eyes.
"I-I don't know wha-what's happe-" Pinkie said terrified.
Pinkamena walked closer and closer to Pinkie Pie.
"I'll get out of here Pinkie... and you'll take my spot here... all in due time..." Pinkamena said.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Pinkie screamed.
Pinkie got up breathing heavily and sweating.
"Wha-What the?" Pinkie questioned.
Pinkie was back in her room in Sugarcube corner, trying to put together what had just happpened.
"Pinkamena... I really hope that was just a bad dream..." Pinkie said.
As Pinkie got up from bed, trying to regain her sanity... She heard a whisper in her head.
Pinkie was frozen, what she thought was a dream was nothing short of reality. Pinkamena was real and Pinkie's clock has started ticking.
Pinkamena started laughing hysterically towards Pinkie's feelings of terror.
"Hahahahaha! Oh Pinkie Pie, it's so funny how you thought you could trick yourself into thinking that none of that was real..." Pinkamena whispered.
"I-I really wished that was only a nightmare or something... but i guess I'm going to have to face the facts." Pinkie said.
"But still! I-I'm the one still in control at the moment, not you! Your in there and I'm out here!" Pinkie declared.
"You really don't pay attention do you? It pains me to believe that we were once the same person..." Pinkamena whispered.
"Hey! I remember what you said, I'm not that stupid!" Pinkie said. "and I'm going to use every ounce of willpower I have to make sure that you'll never come out!"
Pinkamena started laughing again.
"W-What's so funny?" Pinkie said.
"Oh Pinkie Pie, you can't stop me no matter what you do, your far too weak my dear." Pinkamena whispered.
Pinkie started to get flustered with anger from Pinkamena's comments.
"Hahahaha! Yes! Get angry! Get upset! The more you do, the more power I can siphon from you!" Pinkamena whispered.
Pinkie went from angry to scared, seeing that Pinkamena feeds off the negative emotions from others.
"I've wasted enough time talking to you Pinkie, I need to start getting ready for what's to come... and I'm sure you know exactly what I'm talking about." Pinkamena laughed.
"Goodbye Pinkie, and enjoy what time you have left." Pinkamena whispered.
Pinkie called out to Pinkamena many time afterwards, hoping for a reply. But Pinkamena remained silent.
"Oh no..." Pinkie said.
"What should I do... this is unbelievable... I never thought something like this would ever happen!"
"Should I tell my friends about this? Ohhhh! They'd never believe me! They already think I'm crazy, and telling them that I'm being taken over by my crazy and insane personality who wants to escape my mind and take over Equestria! WOULD JUST MAKE THINGS WORSE FOR ME!."
Pinkie sat on her bed for a while, thinking about how to deal with the situation.
"What am I saying!? They're my best friends! I'm sure they'll understand no matter how ridiculous it sounds!" Pinkie said.
"Don't be so sure..." Pinkamena whispered.
"Wh-What!?" Pinkie said.
"Hahahahaha!" Pinkamena laughed.
"Hey! You get back here!" Pinkie yelled.
...
"Maybe... I should try and just deal with it myself." Pinkie said.
"Anyway, even if my friends did believe me, putting their lives in danger is the last thing I'd wanna do."
Pinkie decided to try and deal with Pinkamena herself, she thought that she surely had enough willpower to keep her locked inside. Pinkie trotted downstairs after thinking things over and left Sugarcube Corner.
"Hmmm." Pinkie thought.
"But now what should I do... How do I really know if I'm suppressing Pinkamena or not?" Pinkie said to herself.
"You know what, I'm just going to continue with how my life was before this all happened! Thinking about this will only make it harder on me." Pinkie said.
"Okay! Time to go see my friends!"
Pinkie decided to go see Applejack first, so she bolted down to Sweet Apple Acres.
When Pinkie arrived at the farm, she noticed Applejack bucking apples, just like she always does.
"Hiya Applejack!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Well howdy there Pinkie, nice to see ya. What brings ya here today?" Applejack said.
"What kind of question is that! It's always a good time to spend time with friends, right?" Pinkie said.
"Heh, I guess your right." Applejack said. "Actually, I could use some help with the harvest here. Big Macintosh went off into town to buy supplies for some renovations were making to the farmhouse."
"Think you could lend a hoof sugarcube?" Applejack said.
"No problem Applejack! I'd love to help out!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Great! Ah really appreciate it Pinkie Pie." Applejack said. "I'll handle the west field, you take care of the east. That sound alright?"
"You can count on me Applejack! I'll have those apples down in no ti-"
"Pinkie Pie, are you okay there?" Applejack said.
Pinkie's head drooped down, looking towards the ground. She looked back up and saw the entire field of apple trees burning, collapsed on the ground. The grass was dead, the sky red and the farmhouse destroyed... with Applejack trapped under the debris.
"You sure about that? If you're not feeling well you should go and rest a bit, I wouldn't wanna be a bother." Applejack said.
"I said I'm fine Applejack, really I am. Besides I still have to help you with your apple bucking!" Pinkie said.
"Well... alright Pinkie, if you're sure you're up to it." Applejack said.
"Great! Now come on! Let's get to work!" Pinkie said.
Pinkie Pie and Applejack made quick work of it, and were able to finish the rest of it with no problem.
"Well color me pleased as punch! We harvested all the apples in half the time I thought we would!" Applejack said.
"See Applejack, I told you it was no problem!" Pinkie said gleefully.
"I mighty appreciate your help Pinkie Pie, now I have the rest of the day to do errands for Granny Smith." Applejack said.
"Ohh! I'd be glad to help you with those errands Applejack!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Thanks a lot Pinkie Pie, but I can handle these by myself. Why don't you go and see the others? I'm sure they all have some things they need help with." Applejack suggested.
"Alright Applejack, have fun with your errands!" Pinkie said.
"See ya later Pinkie Pie!" Applejack said.
Pinkie left the Acres and trotted into town to go and see more of her friends. While she was walking, there was a white flash that happened before her eyes, which showed a glimpse of Ponyville in ruin, smoke and fire polluting the air, collapsed buildings and wounded ponies covered the streets... then it flashed back to reality.
"W-What is this?" Pinkie questioned "Why do I keep having these... visions"
"Visions of Ponyville and my friends! All destroyed and hurt!" Pinkie said to herself.
"It's beautiful isn't it, my dear?" Pinkamena whispered.
"Why are you showing me these things? Is... this what your goal is? To wreak havoc and cause chaos among everyone!?" Pinkie asked desperately.
"Why of course, what else would it be, my dear?" Pinkamena whispered.
"If i were in your situation... I'd spend as much time with my friends as possible before time runs out..." Pinkamena whispered.
"Pinkamena!" Pinkie said.
...
Pinkie sighed with discontent, wondering if Pinkamena's arrival is inevitable.
"I... I think I should go and see Twilight now, I'm sure she needs help with something, she always does..." Pinkie said.
Pinkie trotted to Twilight's Library, to see if there was anything that she could do to help.
Knock, Knock, Knock.
Twilight opens the door a few moments after.
"Hi there Pinkie Pie, What brings you here?" Twilight asked.
"Hi Twilight. Uh listen, do you still have that machine thingy that you used to scan my brain for my Pinkie Senses?" Pinkie asked.
"Of course I do Pinkie, Why do you ask?" Twilight said.
"Well um, you see my headache has been getting worse actually, and I was wondering if you could do a quick scan of my head to see if there is anything... abnormal." Pinkie asked.
"Well sure Pinkie. It'd be my pleasure! You should have come to me and suggested this in the first place!" Twilight said.
"We could have identified the problem before it got too serious."
"Heh, yea... too serious..." Pinkie said.
"Well follow me downstairs to the basement Pinkie and we'll get started." Twilight said.
Pinkie Pie followed Twilight downstairs to where she kept the machine.
"Okay Pinkie, sit down and we'll get started." Twilight said.
Pinkie sat down in the machine. Twilight strapped her in and started scanning.
"I've made some modifications from last time, it'll show me how your brainwaves from one end, and show me an image on the monitor above me of what's causing the problem." Twilight explained.
"Wow... sounds complicated, do you think it'll work?" Pinkie asked.
"Of course it will, now just sit back and try to relax." Twilight said.
Twilight flipped the machine on and started to scan Pinkie's brain to find out what was the cause of her... headaches.
"It'll take sometime to analyze everything, so just wait a bit." Twilight said.
"Okay Twilight" Pinkie said. "I really hope this will show you what's going on inside my head... your my last option Twilight..." Pinkie whispered to herself.
"What was that Pinkie?"
"Oh uh nothing Twilight, is it almost done?" Pinkie asked.
"Almost, just give it some more time." Twilight said.
As they were waiting for the results, Spike came downstairs to see what was going on.
"Hey Twilight, what are you do-" Spike said.
"Oh no, don't tell me your still scanning Pinkie about her senses, I'm telling you Twilight that's just how she is!" Spike said.
"No Spike, I've come to accept her odd senses a while ago, I'm doing scans right now to see what is causing Pinkie's heacdaches." Twilight said.
"Oh okay, that makes much more sense." Spike said.
"So what is it?" Spike questioned.
"I don't know yet, I'm still waiting for the results." Twilight said.
Just as she said that, the scans were complete. Twilight was eager to see what was the cause... Pinkie's heart was racing.
"Okay, let's see here..." Twilight said.
The machine spewed out an analysis of Pinkie's brainwaves and Twilight was speechless to the results.
"Sweet Celestia!" Twilight said. "Pinkie! Your brainwaves are off the charts! They're completely out of control!" Twilight said frantically.
"I'm... not surprised." Pinkie said sadly.
"This is serious Pinkie Pie! We have to get you to the hospital right away!" Twilight exclaimed.
"No Twilight! That won't help me in the least!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"What are you talking about Pinkie we need to leave n-"
"Did you check the monitor Twilight?" Pinkie interrupted.
"What does that matter at the moment, we already know how serious this is! We have to go!" Twilight yelled.
"Please Twilight just check the monitor." Pinkie said.
"But Pinkie I-"
"Just... check it... please." Pinkie said softly.
"Alright alright fine, but it really isn't necessary." Twilight said.
Twilight and Spike both looked at the monitor to see what was the problem.
...
Pinkamena laughed.
"Hahahahahaha!"
"What the? What was that!?" Spike said.
"I'm not sure, who was that?" Twilight asked.
They both continued to look at the screen, when suddenly all they saw before them... were two pure black eyes, with a blood red iris... bleeding.
"What the heck is that!?" Spike said.
"I-I don't know! I've never seen anything like this before!" Twilight said.
"Ugh turn it off, turn it off! It's so creepy!" Spike said.
Twilight turned off the monitor, both of them completely speechless to what they had just seen.
"Pinkie! What was that thing!" Spike said.
"Pinkie Pie, Is there something you're not telling u-" Twilight was cut off.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" Pinkie screamed.
Pinkie's body started to convulse at a fast and unbearable speed. The movements caused her to break out of her bindings and fall down on the floor.
Pinkie's body started to convulse even more, streaks of red electrical-like bolts were emitting from her body.
"Tw-Twilight... Sp-Spike... " Pinkie said, using all of her strength to just say a few words.
"What is it Pinkie! Tell us what's going on!" Twilight asked repeatedly.
"G-Go and... get the o-others... and... hurry up... please" Pinkie said.
"I'm not sure... how much... longer I can... hold her back!"
"Hold her back? Hold who back Pink-"
"JUST GO NOW... PLEASE... AND HURRY... I'LL EXPLAIN WHEN... YOUR ALL HERE!" Pinkie said.
"Alright, I'll be right back Pinkie, just hang in there." Twilight said.
"Come on Spike, let's go!"
Twilight and Spike teleported out of the basement to get their friends as quick as possible. Pinkie Pie was struggling as hard as she could, completely out of breath and in excruciating pain.
"Arghhh, I... I won't... let you out so... easily! Pinkamena!" Pinkie yelled.
...
"Wow... I must say Pinkie Pie, I do applaud your efforts for trying so hard to keep me trapped... I really do..." Pinkamena snickered.
"But your attempts at doing so will fail in the end, I'm not even using a quarter of my real power to do this..." Pinkamena said.
Pinkie was scared, more scared then she had ever been in her entire life... and that fear was only making Pinkamena stronger.
"I'm surprised that your even still conscious at the moment... knowing you I thought you'd pass out from the very moments I started the procedure... Hehehe." Pinkamena said.
Twilight and everyone teleported back into the room, only to see Pinkie using every ounce of her will to keep "her" from taking over.
"Oh dear! Pinkie Pie! What is going on!" Rarity said.
"What the hay is going on!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Okay Pinkie Pie! I brought everyone here like you asked, now will you please tell us what's going on!" Twilight cried.
"Ehh.. I..." Pinkie struggled.
"Listen guys... please believe me when I say this... my split personality... is trying to take control of me... completely!" Pinkie said.
"Your split personality?" Applejack said.
"Are you sure about this Pinkie?" Twilight said.
"DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M NOT SURE TWILIGHT! LOOK AT ME! WHAT DO YOU THINK IS HAPPENING!" Pinkie screamed.
"Well, If this is true Pinkie, then why didn't you tell us earlier!?" Rarity said.
"I... I didn't want to... put your lives in danger... I couldn't live with myself if... something happened to you guys!" Pinkie said.
"AHHHHH! AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Pinkie screamed.
"I-I cant... hold her back anymore you guys... help me... please!" Pinkie cried.
"Hehehehe..." Pinkamena laughed.
Pinkie looked down at the ground and started to convulse even more furiously. She looked back up to her friends.
"Pinkie!"
"What the!?"
"Her eyes!" They all said.
Pinkie looked up at her friends... her eyes completely black with those same blood red pupils that Twilight saw before.
"G-Guys... help me..." Pinkie cried.
Pinkie let out one final scream before she was finally consumed. Her mane flowed down and became darker, her coat as well lost that cheerful bright color and turned the same. Her cutiemark vanished... along with who she was.
"Pinkie! Pinkie answer us!" Twilight and the others said.
...
Pinkie stood up and turned around to look at her... friends, and all they saw... were those blood red eyes, staring them in the face.
...
"Pinkie Pie isn't here anymore..." The Dark Pony said.
"W-Wait a minute!" Fluttershy said.
"That means your her..."
"Split personality!?" Rainbow Dash and Rarity said.
"Ahhhhhh! It sure does feel good to finally be free of that idiot's mind!" Pinkamena said, stretching her body.
"Now I can finally use my strength to its' fullest potential and have some fun here..." Pinkamena continued.
"Hey! What did you do with our friend Pinkie Pie!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"Yea what happened to her! Just who are you anyway!?" Applejack questioned.
"Weren't you listening to her before her final words? Or did you just ignore it because of how ridiculous it sounds?" Pinkamena said.
"Your her split personality." Twilight said. "Although it doesn't make any sense... The proof is staring me right in the face, so I can't really deny it."
"Hmph, At least there was someone with a brain in your little group of friends here." Pinkamena snickered.
"But still, how is it that Pinkie had such a... complex personality, that it was able to develop a mind of its' own?" Twilight asked.
"We all have sides of us that we don't reveal to our friends or to public, but we all experience happiness, anger, sadness, and other emotions regularly correct?" Pinkamena said.
"Pinkie Pie was... different however. She repressed all forms of discomfort subconsciously, which is why she was almost happy 24/7, and I say almost because she did show signs of these negative emotions at points before." Pinkamena continued.
"Like when your friend Fluttershy there tried to become assertive, but took it too far and ended up hurting Pinkie and Rarity, or when Applejack broke her... Pinkie promise? However these were very minimal, so it barely had an impact on her personality." Pinkamena explained.
"After years of constantly repressing these emotions, it gets to a certain point where it all just builds up over time to one point... and I was that point in her mind." Pinkamena said.
Twilight stood there intrigued, trying to comprehend what Pinkamena has just told her, while all of the others were just dumbfounded.
"Alright alright, enough with all your fancy, shmancy big words! I can see clear as day that you ain't our friend and that's all I gotta know at this point!" Applejack said.
"Yea! I'm with Applejack on this one! Give us back our friend before I have to make you!" Rainbow Dash said.
"I agree, I can not stand by and simply watch as you do what you want with Pinkie's body!" Rarity said.
"That's right! When it comes down to my friends, I won't forgive you if you hurt them!" Fluttershy said.
"My friends are right, you may be a lost part of Pinkie Pie, but what your doing is unforgivable! Now give us back our friend this instant!" Twilight said.
Pinkamena laughed quietly to herself.
"And if I don't?" Pinkemena said.
"Then I guess we'll have to do this the hard way!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Oh? You would use force hm? This is still your friends' body might I remind you, would you really take it upon yourselves to injure her?" Pinkamena said.
"That may be Pinkie's body, but she isn't the one in control at the moment, and we'll do whatever it takes to get her back!" Twilight said.
"Hmph, if that's your decision then fine, let's have some fun shall we?" Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena swung her hoof in the air and a wave of darkness started to surround her from the bottom up, swirling upwards until she was encased in it. After a few seconds, the darkness dissipated and Pinkamena was wearing a black outfit with red streaks going through it and a black-like aura emitting from her body.
"Shall we begin?" Pinkamena said.
Twilight and the others were frightened by the immense power they saw she controlled. But all they cared about was rescuing their friend at this point.
"You think that any of that scares me? Pfft, think again!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Then prove it if your so sure of yourself." Pinkamena said.
Rainbow Dash, being easily provoked, charged right towards Pinkamena at full speed.
"Rainbow Dash! Wai-" Twilight yelled.
"You always were too reckless Rainbow Dash." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena evaded Rainbow Dash's tackle with ease, turned around and touched Rainbow on her chest.
"Huh?" Rainbow Dash said, confused.
A second after the touch, a sonic wave emitted from Pinkamena's hoof and Rainbow Dash was sent flying into the wall at incredible speeds, coughing up blood at the impact.
"Rainbow Dash!" Her friends screamed.
Rainbow fell to the floor, unable to move anymore.
"Wow... *Cough* I didn't expect that *Cough* to happen." Rainbow Dash said, until the pain was too much and passed out.
"Okay... Now you've done it! You insane mare!" Applejack declared.
"Applejack! Wait! No!" Twilight cried, but to no avail.
Applejack charged towards Pinkamena and bucked her right in the face as hard as she could.
"Is that all you can do?" Pinkamena said, as if nothing had even happened.
"Hmph, how disappointing." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena put her hooves around Applejack's head and discharged a large amount of electricity, Applejack screamed.The insane mare's blood-red electricity made quick work of it. Pinkamena pulled her hooves back when she was done, and Applejack fell to the floor, unconscious.
"Is this really all the power you girls have?" Pinkamena said.
"I'm getting quite bored, this isn't even entertaining in the slightest." Pinkamena said, who vanished in an instant after that last comment.
"Wh-What the!? Where did she go?" Twilight said.
Pinkamena reappeared next to Rarity, and touched her on the forehead. Rarity jumped back out of fear from what she will do.
"That's it? A little poke?" Rarity said.
"That's all I need to take care of weaklings like you." Pinkamena said.
Rarity started to feel an intense ringing sound in her head, which got louder and more unbearable every second.
"Aughhh! This ringing! W-What is it! It's killing me!" Rarity screamed.
"That's the idea..." Pinkamena said.
The ringing got so loud until... it stopped, but Rarity had already suffered from its' effects for too long, and fell down, unable to move any longer.
"This is utterly disappointing, I would've at least hoped you five would put up some kind of a challenge." Pinkamena said.
"I guess I gave you girls too much credit..." Pinkamena snickered.
Twilight stood there terrified, two of her best friends knocked unconscious by this... neglected side of Pinkie.
"Fluttershy... Please don't charge out there, w-we don't stand a chance against Pinkamena at the moment. The amount of power she has is unimaginable." Twilight said quietly.
"F-Fluttershy? Did you hear m-" Twilight said.
Twilight turned around to look at Fluttershy, but she was already in Pinkamena's grip, trapped in her choke hold.
"What! B-But how!? You were just over th-" Twilight said.
"You clearly haven't gotten a full grasp on my power yet, have you Twilight?" Pinkamena said, dropping Fluttershy to the ground, gasping for air.
"Perhaps you don't understand the severity of the situation you are in right now." Pinkamena said.
"Here, let me show you what I intend to do with your future." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena walked up to Twilight and touched her forehead. A split second afterwards, Twilight saw a vision of Ponyville burning, Canterlot in ruin, Celestia and Luna fallen. Nothing but chaos and havoc raining down upon everyone.
"N-NOO! NO YOU CAN'T DO THI-"
"And that's only the beginning..." Pinkamena said.
With that last comment, Pinkamena picked Twilight up, threw her upwards, and with her incredible speed, jumped up and punched Twilight right in the stomach, sending her flying downwards into the floor and coughing up blood on impact.
Twilight, using every ounce of willpower she had just trying to stay conscious, looked at Pinkamena.
"I guess I was a fool for thinking you five could ever put up a decent fight, Hmph my mistake." Pinkamena said.
"And for the fact I didn't deliver any fatal blows... consider that my little parting gift." Pinkamena snickered.
"Goodbye Twilight... I think we'll see each other again soon..." Pinkamena said, engulfing herself in a veil of darkness, and vanished.
... ... ...
"P-Pinkie..." Twilight said hoarsely.
"P-Pinkie Pie..." Twilight said, before she passed out.
A few hours after the Fight...
"Twil..."
"Twilight..."
"Twilight!"
"Huh... Wha-What happened... Spike?" Twilight said, still dazed.
"Are you guys okay? When I heard Pinkamena leave, I thought of the worst care scenario of what could've happened to you guys! Thank goodness you're all alright." Spike said gleefully.
"Ughh... yea were all okay I think, just a little beaten up is all." Twilight said.
Twilight looked back to see all of her friends in one piece, awake and sitting with ice packs and bandages.
"Man... that Pinkamena sure can pack a punch..." Rainbow Dash said.
"Ah don't think she was even trying to be honest." Applejack said.
"She was unbelievably powerful, Aughh! I can still hear that annoying ringing sound..." Rarity said.
"I don't even know what happened... I was too scared to understand what was happening..." Fluttershy said.
They all sat there conversing, wondering if there was anything they could do at this point to stop Pinkamena.
"That reminds me." Twilight said.
"Where were you this whole time Spike?" Twilight asked.
"Oh heh, um funny story you know, after I saw Pinkamena change her appearance. I thought it'd be a good idea to well you know... hide? hehe..." Spike said nervously.
"Ugh... thanks Spike, I knew we could count on you." Twilight said.
"I'm sorry guys, but could I do? Even if i did help, I doubt it would do anything." Spike said.
"You're probably right Spike, we were no match for Pinkamena in anyway... I had no idea she was that strong." Twilight said.
"Well... what do we do now?" Rarity asked.
"Let's just try to rest for now, we've all taken quite a beating and there'd be no sense in going after her when there's absolutely nothing we can do to even stop her..." Twilight said.
Everyone agreed and stayed at Twilight's Library for a while in order to recover.
After the Fight, Pinkamena's Point of View...
After Pinkamena had vanished from Twilight's Library, she reappeared outside, on the outskirts of Ponyville.
"Well... that was sure a waste of time, I hope they've realized I wasn't even trying when they wake up..." Pinkamena said.
"Hmmm." Pinkamena thought.
"Now that I'm free, I think I'll finally start putting my plan into action, Hehehehe..." Pinkamena said.
"But I can't do it alone... well I could, put it would take much too long and I don't have the patience at the moment." Pinkamena said.
"So I'll need to find someone of decent strength to aid me in my plans." Pinkamena said.
"Ah! Yes, I remember Pinkie Pie and her friends defeating one by the name of Discord, a Draconiquis to be precise."Pinkamena said. "It shouldn't be too hard to free him from his imprisonment."
"Knowing these fools, they probably just put him up as a garden decoration again. So it shouldn't be hard at all to get to where he is." Pinkamena said.
"Well, no time to lose, guess I'm heading to the Canterlot Sculpture Garden." Pinkamena said, and trotted towards Canterlot.
Shortly after Pinkamena's revival, Pinkie Pie's Imprisonment...
With Pinkie Pie being fully consumed by Pinkamena, Pinkie loses control and finds herself in a place all too familiar...
"Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Pinkie yelled, falling down into the void.
With Pinkie's descent, two chains came flying at her, each one wrapping itself around one of her front hooves.
"W-What's happening!?" Pinkie said, terrified.
Just as she was about to hit what seemed to be the ground, a second wave of chains came flying at her, only this time there were much more, all wrapping themselves around Pinkie's body, completely covering her from the waist down... and with that she was trapped. Suspended in the air with chains wrapped around her body and two separate ones holding her two front hooves up.
"T-This..." Pinkie said drearily.
"This is... where Pinkamena was... for all those years huh?" Pinkie said sorrily.
"Am I?... going to be here for the rest of my life?..." Pinkie said.
"I hope not... I don't see how anyone could stand being in a place like this... for so long too." Pinkie said.
"I guess... I can't blame her for turning out how she did... anypony would go insane from a place like this..." Pinkie said.
Pinkie Pie floated there for a while, in complete darkness, thinking... what could she possibly do.
"Pinkamena said she watched my entire life up to this point while she was trapped here... does that mean I'll be able to see hers'? Now that she's the one in control?" Pinkie questioned.
After a while of floating in her suspended prison, Pinkie started to see visions of what Pinkamena was seeing... what she was doing.
"...!"
"My... My friends! No! NO WHAT'S SHE DOING!" Pinkie screamed, her face flushed red with anger.
"Dang it! No this is terrible... let me out of here! LET ME OUT OF HERE! PINKAMENA!" Pinkie yelled.
"LET ME OUT OF HERE! Pinkamena!" Pinkie yelled out. "Please... let me out of here... I can't take this..."
"It's not like she can hear me though... it wasn't until she broke out of this floatly thingy that I could hear her..." Pinkie said.
"I guess... I'll just have to sit here... and hope for the best..." Pinkie said. "For my friends... for everyone..."
Twilight and her friends had been resting for quite some time now, but everyone felt uneasy and nervous, how could they possibly feel relaxed when one of their best friends' had just been taken away from them? Everypony sat there pondering what to do next, until Rainbow Dash broke the silence.
"Arghhhh! I can't take this! We can't just sit here and do nothing while Pinkamena is out there wreaking havoc on everyone!" Rainbow Dash said.
"I know how you feel Rainbow, but what can we do? If we go after her it'll only be a repeat of what happened before." Twilight said. "Or maybe even worse..."
"So what do we do? I agree with Rainbow on this one, we can't just sit here the whole time. There must be something we can do." Rarity said.
"At the very least we could warn Princess Celestia about the situation." Rarity continued. "That is if she doesn't already know."
"Great idea Rarity, we have to let the princess know about this!" Twilight said. "Especially since Pinkamena is as strong, or maybe even stronger, than the princess herself."
"Spike! Come over here! I need you to write a letter to the princess immediately!" Twilight ordered.
"You got it Twilight, just tell me what to write!" Spike said.
"Alright Spike, here we go." Twilight said.
Dear Princess Celestia,
This message is of utmost importance, one of our best friends, Pinkie Pie,
has been taken over by a manifestation of her own negative emotions as odd as it may sound.
But what I'm telling you is the truth and she goes by the name of Pinkamena. Her power is beyond that
of normal ponies and her only objective is to wreak havoc and chaos wherever she goes, as revenge for being
trapped in Pinkie's mind for so long. The last time I saw her she was wearing a black outfit with red streaks
going through it. Her eyes have become a blood red, and her mane darkened. I assume it will only be a matter
of time before she makes her way to Canterlot and I ask that you please be careful. I do though however have
one request. If she does come to Canterlot, I ask that you please not use any potentially lethal forces in
response to her presence. Pinkamena may not be Pinkie at the moment, but she's still in there and she's still
out friend, and we'll do whatever it takes to get her back!

"Did you get all that Spike?" Twilight said.
"Sure did." Spike said.
"Good, now send it right now." Twilight said.
Spike sent the message to Princess Celestia.
"Let's hope Princess Celestia takes my letter seriously." Twilight said.
"I hope so Applejack." Twilight said. "But what should we do now?"
"Isn't it obvious?" Rarity said. "We must head to Canterlot now at once!"
"What? Why would we go there no-" Twilight said.
"Wouldn't you rather be by Celestia's side at a time like this? To make sure that she'll be alright?" Rarity said.
Everyone else looked at Twilight, with smiles on their faces.
"You all want to go to?" Twilight said.
"Heck yea!" Rainbow Dash said. "Someone's gotta protect the princess ya know!"
"Ah reckon we'll all feel a lot better if we were in the princess's presence." Applejack said.
"I agree with Applejack, the princess's castle does have a nice feeling to it." Fluttershy said softly.
Twilight saw that everyone clearly wanted to go, what right did she have to say no to her friends?
"Then it's settled I guess!" Twilight said. "Let's head out for Canterlot!"
"Spike, you stay here and keep an eye on the place, if Pinkamena comes back write to Celestia, we'll most likely be with her at the time." Twilight said.
"Yes ma'm!" Spike said.
"Alright everyone, let's go!" Twilight exclaimed.
Everyone head outside, to their surprise, Ponyville was completely unscathed.
"That's odd, ah expected there to be a trail of death and destruction in her path." Applejack said.
"Yea, I thought it would be something like what she showed me in her vision." Twilight said.
"I guess she's taking things slow first, trying to keep a low profile." Twilight said. "But what else could she be planning?"
"Ah don't know, but let's not stick around to find out." Applejack said. "Cmon ya'll! Let's go to see the princess!"
At Princess Celestia's Throne Room...
Princess Celestia was sitting in her throne, as she always is, when she received the letter from Twilight.
"Ah, a letter from Twilight, how wonderful." Princess Celestia said.
Princess Celestia read Twilight's letter, her face changed from graceful to discontent.
"Oh my, this is very serious if what she's telling me is true." Princess Celestia said. "However, i'll need to confirm her suspicions before I take any immediate actions."
Princess Celestia called two royal guards into the throne room.
"Yes, Your Majesty." The two guards said simultaneously.
"I have just received a most urgent letter from one of my students, have their been any unusual reports from those here in Canterlot?" Princess Celestia said.
"Actually Your Highness, There have been a few reports of sightings of an odd pony in a dark outfit, moving around quite sneakily throughout the town." The Guard said.
Celestia's saw that as enough information to confirm Twilight's suspicions.
"Thank you, but now I have a task for you two." Celestia said. "I'm declaring a state of emergency as of now, tell the other members of the royal guard to be on the lookout for a mysterious pony dressed in a black outfit with red streaks."
"Citizens are to say inside their homes until further notice, if the situation gets worse, issue an evacuation." Celestia said.
"And one more thing, try your best not to use lethal force if you encounter this pony, try your best to incapacitate her at best. Celestia said. "The authorization of lethal force is granted if you have no other choice."
The two guards were shocked by the unbelievable order they were given, but agreed to it nonetheless.
"Here is a documentation of it with my signature for those who do not believe you." Celestia said. "Now go."
"Yes, Your Majesty." The two guards said as they left the room.
Princess Celestia sat in her throne, confused about the entire situation.
"Oh Twilight, I hope what your telling me is truly that dangerous." Celestia said.
At Pinkamena's Perspective...
Pinkamena had just entered Canterlot and started to wonder how she would get to the gardens.
"Hmm, Let's see now... I think i'll stick to the rooftops for now, seeing my appearance I would no doubt attract unnecessary attention." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena hopped from roof to roof, trying to make sure that others didn't see her. She noticed some ponies though however saw her and ran to report their sightings.
"Pfft, I guess i'm not as dexterous as I thought I was." Pinkamena said. "I can't really stop those who saw me, it would cause too much of a disturbance."
"Guess I'll just have to be more careful." Pinkamena said.
Pinkemena continued her way to the gardens until she heard an announcement on the loud speaker.
"Attention citizens of Canterlot! This is a message from Princess Celestia herself." The announcer said.
"Hmm?" Pinkamena wondered.
"She has declared a state of emergency! All ponies are to stay inside their homes at all times starting now until further notice." The announcer said.
"There is a mysterious pony in black within the vicinity who is believed to have destructive intentions." The announcer said.
"Anyone seen outside during the lock down will be dealt with personally, and put under the assumption of being an accomplice to this mysterious pony." The announcer said.
"Report to your homes at once and wait for any further notices, that is all." The announcer said.
After the announcement finished, ponies were running back to their homes as fast as they could, leaving the streets quiet and empty.
"Well well, I must say I didn't expect that." Pinkamena said.
"Princess Celestia calling a state of emergency, only of a few reports of a suspicious looking pony?" Pinkamena said.
"Hehehe... I don't know whether to commend her for making such a decision, or ridicule her for such an outrageous accusation." Pinkamena said.
"Nevertheless, she made the right decision for her subjects." Pinkamena said. "I wonder if she knows how bad the situation is for her actually."
The sky started to get dark, and thunder could be heard while it stared to rain.
"Just what I need." Pinkamena said sarcastically.
"Enough stalling." Pinkamena said. " I better head to the gardens before security tightens."
Instead of jumping on rooftops, she decided to be stealthy on the ground, the rain hopefully making it harder for them to see her. Unfortunately it didn't work in her favor when she was discovered by a guard looking downwards from the rooftops.
"Hey! You there! Stop in the name of the Princess!" The guard said.
"Dang it, he saw me..." Pinkamena said.
"It's you! The pony in the black outfit!" The guard said.
The guard shot a blast of magic into the sky as a signal to the other guards to come and apprehend the pony.
"That's just great..." Pinkamena said sarcastically.
She was soon surrounded by as many as twenty guards in a circle, closing in on her.
"Well, I guess I don't really have a choice now do I." Pinkamena said.
"Sorry guys... But you brought this upon yourselves. Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena jumped extraordinarily high in the air, and came down at incredible speeds towards the middle of the circle. She landed with the strength of a meteorite hitting the surface of the earth and caused an explosion of darkness to erupt from under the ground upwards, launching them all in different directions.
"Hmmph, I told you that you brought this upon yourselves." Pinkamena said. "Now if you'll excuse me I'm supposed to be meeting someone at the gardens."
Pinkamena then ran off towards the gardens before anymore guards showed up.
Other guards who saw the signal came to the location, but were only greeted by the sight of other guards on the ground, either unconscious from the trauma they received from the impact, or writhing in pain on the ground.
The injured guards were rushed back to the castle for treatment.
At Princess Celestia's Throne Room...
A guard rushed in to Celestia's throne room to deliver an urgent message.
"Your Majesty!" The Guard said.
"Yes what is it?" Celestia said.
"We've just recovered about twenty other members of the royal guard from the streets, all severely injured." The Guard said.
"What!? What happened out there!?" Celestia's questioned.
"I don't know the details, but one of the guards we brought in told us the gist of had happened... before he passed away." The Guard said.
"I see..." Celestia said. " Well what did he say? We can't let his dying words go to waste!"
"It was a little difficult to understand, but he said that that pony had supernatural abilities." The Guard said. "He could feel the anger and hate that came with that dark power."
"He also said that the pony was headed towards the gardens to meet someone." The Guard said. "That's pretty much it."
"Headed to the gardens?" Celestia said. "The Royal Sculpture Gardens?"
"Yes Ma'm." The Guard said.
"Hmm, what could be at the sculpture gardens that would pose any value to her?" Celestia said. "And who is she meeting there?"
"I'm just as confused as you are, You Majesty." The Guard said.
Celestia sat there thinking what could possibly be at the gardens, who was this pony meeting? She thought and thought until it finally hit her.
"Wait a second... The Sculpture Gardens... Could it be that she's going to..." Celestia said.
"Discord!" Celestia said. "That pony is probably going to go and try revive Discord from this imprisonment!"
"Are you sure, Your Majesty? Is that even possible?" The Guard said.
"If she's as powerful as you and my student, Twilight, say she is, then she'll have no trouble overcoming the magic that keeps Discord trapped in stone." Celestia said.
"Go now and tell all the guards to report to the Royal Sculpture Gardens at once! This pony must not be allowed to resurrect Discord!" Celestia said.
"Yes, Your Higness!" The Guard said, and bolted out the door.
...
"I never imagined something like this would ever occur." Celestia said. "I have to do everything in my power to make sure that this pony's plans do not come to fruition..."
At Pinkamena's Perspective...
Pinkamena finally made it to the gardens, but was greeted by an immensely large army of Royal Guards.
"I guess I shouldn't have blabbed about where I was going before..." Pinkamena said.
"Yea, you shouldn't have." A Guard said, who then walked forward towards Pinkamena.
"Just who are you anyway?" Shining Armor said.
"Oh so were doing formal greetings now first are we?" Pinkamena said.
"I asked who you were, now talk." Shining Armor said.
"Impatient are we? Fine, but you really should know who I am already." Pinkamena said. "After all, I am one of your little sister's best friends, Hehehe..."
Shining Armor looked carefully at the dark pony until it finally hit him.
"Wait a minute... Pinkie Pie?..." Shining Armor said.
"P-Pinkie Pie!?" Shining Armor said. "What are you doing? Why are you doing this!?"
"I'm going to say this before it starts to get really awkward for you." Pinkamena said. "Pinkie Pie isn't here anymore, You can call me Pinkamena."
"What? What do you mean Pinkie Pie isn't here anymore?" Shining Armor asked. "What exactly is going on?"
Pinkamena sighed in annoyance.
"I've already explained this before many times to those I've encountered, it's starting to get really repetitive and I'm in no mood to explain it again to someone else." Pinkamena said. "So I'll give you the short version."
Shining Armor was confused, he was talking to Pinkie, but it wasn't Pinkie? He couldn't possibly give the order to attack one of Twilight's best friends... could he? He has to listen to "Pinkie's" explanation first before he could decide anything.
"I'm Pinkie's split personality, I took control because I was sick of being stuck in her head, She's trapped instead and now I'm taking my revenge for my imprisonment by destroying whatever proves to be an obstacle in my path." Pinkamena said.
"Wait.. so your..." Shining Armor said, trying to get his thoughts together.
Pinkamena sighed again in disgust of the idiocy and incompetence he had.
"Ugh listen, to put it bluntly." Pinkamena said. "I'm your enemy now, if you decide to get in my way."
Shining Armor had no choice. If she was going to be a threat to the citizens of Canterlot, he had to give the order for Pinkamena's capture, after all it wasn't the same Pinkie they used to know.
"Fine, then if your going to pose a threat to the city, then I have no more reason to delay your arrest." Shining Armor said. "As Captain of the Royal Guard, I will fulfill my objectives!"
Shining Armor raised his hoof and commanded the guards to place Pinkamena under arrest.
"Everyone! I want Pinkamena apprehended immediately! In Celestia's name we will not fail!" Shining Armor decreed.
The guards all got into their positions and started to fire magical blasts from their horns.
"Hmph, guess this is where the fun begins." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena standing in the open with waves of magical bolts coming at her. With a wave of her hoof they all stopped only inches from her face, and were launched back towards the guards.
"Alright, as much as I would love to savor the time of playing around with you weaklings. My patience is wearing thin and frankly I just want to get this over with." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena looked towards the first wave of guards who were blocking her path. She took one step and in a flash she was already behind them, not even a blur to be seen.
"Was that really a good idea Pinkamena?" Shining Armor said.
The first wave of guards turned around and started to close in on her, while the second wave was already moving closer about to surround her.
"Yes actually, I think it was a good idea." Pinkamena said. "Now I can get rid of all you pests in one fell swoop."
Pinkamena gathered her energy, darkness building around her body. Guards fired they're magic at her in an attempt to stop whatever she was doing, but to no avail. She gathered enough energy until her eyes started to glow a bright red, in which she then released it all in one wide spread attack, causing a wave of darkness to fly out, much like Rainbow Dash's Sonic Rainboom. All the guards flew back and writhed in pain as the darkness engulfed each guard it touched with a searing pain, including Shining Armor.
"You know it's really quite funny." Pinkamena said. "How Princess Celestia relies on weaklings like you to protect the kingdom."
Shining Armor got up, ignoring the pain he was feeling from the darkness.
"I can't believe how strong you are." Shining Armor said. "But your crazy if you think that you can overthrow the princess."
"Shining Armor you make me laugh, your precious princess isn't even that strong. She was defeated by the Changeling Queen for goodness sake." Pinkamena said. "I don't think I'll have so much trouble, especially since I'll be getting a new ally..."
"No! I won't let you!" Shining Armor yelled, but was incapacitated by the darkness.
Pinkamena trotted up to the statue of Discord and looked up at it.
"Well Discord, I hope you'll be of some use to me." Pinkamena said. "At least it's better than nothing I suppose..."
Pinkamena was about to place her hoof on the statue, but was greeted by an all too familiar group.
"Pinkamena!" Twilight yelled.
"Whoa..." Rainbow Dash said. "What the heck happened here?"
Everyone looked around to see guards everywhere, defeated and in pain about to be swallowed by the darkness that was enveloping them.
"This is... just awful." Fluttershy said.
"You said it, Pinkamena's not playin around..." Applejack said.
"Hey Twilight." Rarity said. "Isn't that your brother over there?"
"What!? Where!?" Twilight yelled.
Twilight looked over to where Rarity was pointed and saw Shining Armor being engulfed by the darkness, just like the rest of the guards.
"Shining Armor!" Twilight yelled.
Shining Armor looked up to see Twilight through his blurred vision.
"Twi- Twilight?" Shining Armor said weakly.
"Don't move! I'm coming just hold on!" Twilight said, as she was about to sprint down to her brother.
"Hold on one second Twilight." Pinkamena said. "Don't come any closer, or I'll speed up the process of his demise."
Twilight stood there, her face red with anger towards Pinkamena.
"Let go of my brother you demon!" Twilight yelled.
"Demon? That's a little harsh don't you think?" Pinkamena said.
"I don't care! You took Pinkie away from us, but I will NOT let you take my brother away too!" Twilight yelled.
"Yes! Hehehe... all this negativity in the air, it's just simply wonderful! Don't you agree my dear?" Pinkamena said.
Twilight was about to lose it, but luckily she had her friends with her to calm her down and stop her.
"It's so great that your all here actually, I couldn't have asked for a better reunion time." Pinkamena said. "Your brother was a big disappointment by the way, not even a challenge."
"Why you..." Twilight said.
"Easy there Twi, she's just tryin to rile you up." Applejack said.
"I honestly hope that the princess will be a bit more of a challenge when I pay her a visit in a bit..." Pinkamena said.
"Don't you even think about laying a hoof on the princess you!" Twilight said.
"Ohh what's the matter? Did I hit a nerve?" Pinkamena said laughing.
Twilight just stared at Pinkamena, knowing any more negative outbursts would only empower her further.
"What? Just because I'm the manifestation of Pinkie's anger and hate, doesn't mean I can't have a laugh from time to time." Pinkamena said. "Ohh, but I think I've stalled for quite enough now."
Pinkamena turned back around and placed her hoof on the statue.
"Now then." Pinkamena said. "Why don't we say hello to an old friend girls?"
Pinkamena released a burst of dark energy from her hoof onto the statue. The statue started to pulsate and in a matter of seconds... Discord was released.
"Hahahahahaha! Ohh man! It sure does feel good to be able to move again." Discord said, stretching his arms and body.
"Hmm?" Discord said. "Well well well, If it isn't Twilight Sparkle and her friends, how very nice to see you all again!"
"Hmm, but what's this?" Discord said. "It looks like your missing someone from your little group. Tell me, what happened to Pinkie Pie?"
"It's so nice to see again Discord." Pinkamena said. "Though in your case, this will be your first time meeting me."
"Pinkie? Is that you? What happened my dear?" Discord said, laughing.
"Pinkie isn't here anymore and I'm the one who freed you from your imprisonment." Pinkamena said. "I'm her split personality who took over, you can call me Pinkamena."
"You? You freed me? Hahaha! That's rich! As if someone like you would have the strength to overcome the Elements of Harmony!" Discord said, laughing uncontrollably.
"Believe me or not, It's the truth. Now I freed you for one reason and one reason alone." Pinkamena said. "You're going to be partner and do what I say, when I say it. Do I make myself clear?"
Discord started to laugh harder then he ever did, the thought of him taking orders from someone, anyone was just hilarious.
"Oh, my dear you are indeed hilarious. But you're crazy if you think you can boss me around." Discord said.
Pinkamena sighed. "I knew you wouldn't listen to me, so I'm going to say this one more time." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena waved her hoof in the air and surrounded Discord in a veil of darkness, getting smaller and constricting him tighter by the second.
"I didn't have to free you, I don't need you. I only did so because it would make plans go faster." Pinkamena said. "Now I'll ask again. You are going to listen to me and do whatever I say, whenever I say it, Is that clear Discord?"
"Y-Yes, Yes! Alright! You've certainly made your point my dear!" Discord said, struggling to breathe.
Pinkamena released Discord and dissipated the veil.
"You're certainly much stronger than I imagined, I guess that's the kind of power you obtain from being trapped in an idiot's mind for years." Discord said.
"How did you know I was trapped?" Pinkamena said.
"Oh please dear, You're Pinkie's split personalty. You don't look like something that Pinkie Pie would reveal so where else could you be?" Discord said.
"Hmph, good observation." Pinkamena said.
"Now then." Discord said. "What exactly do we do with these five?"
Pinkamena turns to look over at her five "friends".
"Oh yes, them. I completely forgot they were there." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena looked down at the guards and noticed they had been completely engulfed, including Shining Armor.
"Well Discord, I say we move on to see Celestia herself." Pinkamena said.
"Oh, We're already heading there?" Discord said. "I know you want to take revenge and all, but can't we have a little fun first?"
"Taking care of Celestia is my top priority at the moment, when we're done with her you can go and wreak as much havoc and chaos as you want outside." Pinkamena said.
"Well alright then, shall we go then?" Discord said.
"Hold up right there, you're still not done with us!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"That's it, I've had enough of all these interruptions." Pinkamena said. "I was going to be nice and give you the chance to walk out of here, but you five are clearly too stupid to take my offer to heart."
Pinkamena raised her hood in the air and the guards on the ground started to convulse as the darkness started to seep into them. The guards then all got up, wounds healed and all. But they're armor had turned to a pure black instead of the radiating gold that it was, and they're eyes... All they're eyes glowed a bright red.
"You brought this upon yourselves, I have no more time to waste on insects like you." Pinkamena said.
All the guards lined up and moved towards the five friends.
"They're under my control now, continue to try and pursue me if you wish, but know that you'll be facing an army soon enough." Pinkaemena said.
The guards started to fire black bolts from their horns and burned on impact.
"Pinkamena! We will stop you! Don't even think that you'll get away with th-" Twilight said.
"Yea blah blah blah blah, enough of this, come on Discord we've wasted enough time here." Pinkamena said.
"Yes of course, and I must say my dear, Mind Control, I haven't seen that used in such a long time. You just keep surprising me." Discord said, laughing.
Pinkamena and Discord left the gardens and headed towards Celestia's Throne Room in the castle.
"No! No we can't let the-"Twilight said, who was nothing but awestruck to what was blocking her path.
"N-No.. No this can't be!" Twilight said. "S-Shining Armor! It's me! Your little sister! Twilight!"
Shining Armor was no longer who he was and Twilight's words could not get through to him, he was nothing but a puppet to Pinkamena now.
"Come on Twilight! We can't stay here! There's nothing we can do!" Applejack said.
Twilight just stared at her brother who was consumed by Pinkamena's power. Shining Armor was about to blast Twilight, but she was pulled back by her friends.
"Snap out of it!" Rainbow Dash said. "We have to go! We can't pursue her anymore at the moment!"
Twilight realized she had to abandon Shining Armor for the time being, she and her friends escaped the gardens with minor injuries and fled to the outskirts of Canterlot.
"Well..." Fluttershy said. "Now what do we do?"
"I-I don't know anymore." Twilight said. "Pinkamena's taken over most of the Canterlot Royal Guard, including my brother..."
"Don't worry Twi, I'm sure well find a way to fix everything." Applejack said.
"But how? Pinkamena said she'd have an army by the time we'd get back." Rarity said. "How can we possibly stop her if we're going to be up against the Royal Guard?"
"Not to mention Discord, I can't believe that she freed him!" Rainbow Dash said. "He was enough trouble by himself last time, and now he's with Pinkamena! What do we do!"
They all started to bicker and panic about what they could possibly do, if there was anything they could do.
"Pinkamena said she'd have an army right?" Twilight said. "Then I think we need to get one of our own."
"Where in the world would we get an army large enough to go against the Royal Guard?" Applejack said.
"Think, who is the only other person we know of that stood a chance against the Royal Guard?" Twilight said.
They all stood there pondering for a minute until they realized who she was talking about.
"Wait... You don't mean?" Fluttershy said.
"You can't be serious! We can't ask her!" Rarity said.
"As much as it pains me to say it, Queen Chrysalis just might be our only hope in standing up against the Royal Guard!" Twilight said. "She was the only one who could take the Royal Guard with her army of changelings, not to mention their ability to change their appearance could be very useful."
"We really don't have any other choice here guys." Twilight said.
Everyone looked at each other, they all didn't think it was the best idea but what else could they do?
"Alright Twilight, if you think that the Queen would be willing to help us, then we're with you." Applejack said.
"Yea, I guess we gotta try and hope we get lucky!" Rainbow Dash said.
"I guess we don't really have a choice." Fluttershy said.
"Fine fine, lets go then shall we?" Rarity said.
Twilight was unsure of the plan herself, but she had to try. For her Celestia, for her brother, for everyone.
"Alright everyone, lets head out." Twilight said. "To the Badlands."
At Pinkamena's Perspective...
Pinkamena and Discord had arrived to the door of Princess Celestia's Throne Room.
"Well Pinkamena, this is what you've been waiting for, is it not?" Discord said.
"Yes, it is." Pinkamena said. "Prepare yourself Celestia..."
Pinkamena kicked the door to the Throne Room off it's hinges, no element of surprise that's for sure.
"I was hoping that Shining Armor and his guards would be able to handle the situation." Celestia said. "But I guess that didn't happen..."
"What have you done with Shining Armor!" Cadence said, sprinting out from the back of the room towards Pinkamena.
Pinkamena waved her hoof and Cadence was ejected forward in front of Pinkamena.
"Don't worry, you can join him." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena engulfed Cadence in a veil of darkness and she was consumed almost immediately, her eyes glowing red and under Pinkamena's control.
"There, now your both my puppets." Pinkamena said.
"Bravo! Once again! Simply wondrous!" Discord said, laughing.
"Your a demon Pinkamena, how could you do such a thing to Cadence!?" Celestia said.
"Being called a demon sure has been happening to me a lot recently." Pinkamena said. "Heh, Oh and I didn't do it to just Cadence my dear, most of your precious guards are under my control."
"Enough, I will not let you continue with your plans, you stop here Pinkamena, and I'll make sure to find a new place to lock you up in Discord." Celestia declared.
"Oh really Celestia, so boring! You were never any fun my dear." Discord said, laughing again.
Pinkamena's Chaos Guards blocked the entrance into the Throne Room and castle in general from the rest of Celestia's Royal Guards.
"Just so we won't be interrupted." Pinkamena said.
"Sister!" A voice called out.
Just as Pinkamena was about to engage Celestia, Princess Luna broke through one of the stained glass window panes to assist her.
"I'm sorry I'm late sister, but I wanted to confirm if Twilight's suspicions were true." Luna said. "But when I saw the castle being blocked off by guards in black armor, I knew something had to be wrong."
"I'm glad you made it Luna, With you here I feel a lot more better about this fight." Celestia said.
"Yes, indeed sister." Luna said. "Together we'll stop this Pinkamena and, hopefully, bring back Twilight Sparkle's friend."
Pinkamena looked directly at Luna and snickered.
"Heh, I didn't expect you to be here, Princess Luna." Pinkamena said. "But now I can kill two birds with one stone."
"Prepare yourself sister, I can see that this will not be an easy fight." Luna said.
"Looks like were going to be in for a wild fight, wouldn't you agree Pinkamena?" Discord said happily.
"Yes, Discord." Pinkamena said. "I think this will be quite fun."
Celestia and Luna stood ready for Pinkamena's first move, as they wanted to hopefully get a good read on the levels of her strength from themselves.
"Hmmm." Pinkamena said. "Alright Discord, You take care of Luna, I can handle Celestia by myself."
"She'll be defeated before you know it." Discord said confidently, then dashing towards Luna at full speed.
"Oh no you don't!" Celestia said, charging in front of Discord to cut him off from Luna.
"I don't think so..." Pinkamena said, warping in front of Celestia to stop her.
"Your fighting me princess, and I won't have you running off." Pinkamena said, putting her hoof in front of Celestia's face and forcing her back towards the other side of the room with a blast of sonic energy.
"This is were we'll fight." Pinkamena said. "That alright with you my dear? Hehehehe... I'm sorry, as if you had a choi-"
Pinkamena was interrupted by a blast of Celestia's magic, which was a dead shot in her face and sent her flying into the wall. Pinkamena regained her balance as she pried herself off the wall, surprised at the strength Celestia displayed.
"Heh, a cheap shot attacking me in the middle of my sentence don't you think?" Pinkamena said. "But that was actually a good shot, and it hurt quite a bit speaking honestly."
"After the incident with Queen Chrysalis, I realized how disgraceful it was of me to be defeated to easily, when I am the one who should be protecting my fellow subjects." Celestia said. "So ever since that day I've been honing my skills to make sure that I am ready to overcome whatever evil may befall us."
"Oh I see..." Pinkamena said. "Hehehehe..."
"What's so funny?" Celestia said.
"Oh, I'm just absolutely thrilled that this will actually be a challenge for me!" Pinkamena said. "Now we can have some fun!"
Pinkamena dashed towards Celestia, waves of darkness emitting from her body. Celestia's horn started to glow brighter and brighter until she let out a wave of holy light, it's blinding aura caused the darkness from Pinkamena's body to evaporate instantly.
"What the!" Pinkamena said, now being pulled in by the holy light emanating from Celestia.
Pinkamena was being sucked in by it's power, even with all her strength she couldn't withstand such power. Celestia moved towards her and touched Pinkamena with her horn. Light started to shine through Pinkamena's eyes and mouth as she was burning from the inside out. The pain was immense and she tried to control her screams as hard as she could, she didn't want Celestia to hear her in pain. Pinkamena lifted her hoof up and blasted a wave of sonic energy, not to push Celestia back, but to push herself back away from the light.
"W-What was that!?" Pinkamena said, breathing heavily on the floor and coughing up blood.
"I told you, I've been honing my skills to make sure I'll be able to stop whatever evil may befall us." Celestia said.
"B-But I've never seen you use such a power before... not through Pinkie's eyes..." Pinkamena said.
"I've actually just finished mastering it not to long ago, it exorcises evil and demonic energy from the individual, purifying it from the inside out." Celestia explained.
"Then that means... you're not trying to..." Pinkamena said.
"I have no intention of killing you if that's what your thinking." Celestia said. "How could I do such a thing when your using one of Twilight's best friends as a mere vessel... my only goal is return Pinkie Pie to her former self."
"Tch, You stubborn alicorn you.. you won't be rid of me so easily..." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena got up and summoned a veil of darkness to surround her, encasing her of what seemed to be a floating ball.
"So you're going to hide now? Is that what your doing?" Celestia said.
"Oh no, of course not, just give me a few seconds..." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena dissipated the veil and was coated in her dark energy.
"That's better, all that light inside me was revolting." Pinkamena said. "But now I'm ready for you Celestia."
"If that's what you believe then come on, let's end this already!" Celestia said.
"End it? But it's just started to get interesting..." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena's eye glowed red, and she charged towards Celestia with darkness surrounding her.
"That won't work." Celestia said.
Celesita repeated what she did before, but this time the light wasn't as effective, it was reinforced to act like a shield. Celestia jumped back and fly upwards to avoid the collision and started to shoot blasts of light at Pinkamena. Pinkamena turned around and jumped up towards Celestia and encased herself in a dark ball again, only this time when she got close enough, spikes emerged from the surface, lunging in all different directions. Celestia was able to avoid any fatal hits but was cut in a few places, a slight black flame eating at each of her wounds. Pinkamena dissipated the ball and returned to normal, turning around and facing Celestia.
"Not so easy this time is it Celestia." Pinkamena said.
Celestia was already breathing heavily and Pinkamena looked unscathed, even from the damage she took earlier it looked like she was showing no signs of exhaustion or pain.
"Come on Celestia, let's have some fun." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena lunged towards Celestia again. Celestia dodged her attacks and continued to fight with Pinkamena.
"Sister! Are you alrigh-" Luna said.
"Don't take your eyes off the opponent in front of you!" Discord said, hitting Luna with his tail and causing her to fall back.
(Luna and Discord have been fighting this whole time in case you didn't realize.)
"Now I see why Celestia saw it imperative that you do not escape, you certainly have gotten stronger since the last time we faced you." Luna said.
"That was a long time ago my dear, and I've had plenty of time to think of new ways to spread chaos while being a statue." Discord said. "You on the other hand Luna, you seem to have gotten weaker since the last time we met..."
"Enough of your talk, We are going to stop you right here and now." Luna said, as she charged towards Discord.
"Yea of course you will, Hahaha!" Discord said, mirroring Luna and continuing to fight.
Celestia and Luna... Pinkamena and Discord... Both sides clashed with each other for quite some time, but only one side will emerge victorious.
At Twilight's Perspective...
"Is this the place?" Fluttershy said.
"This is it alright, just being here gives me the chills." Twilight said.
"Well come on! Let's go see the Queen and get this over with!" Rainbow Dash said.
The five friends walked through The Badlands until they reached Queen Chrysalis's Domain.
"You sure she's gonna help us Twilight?" Applejack said.
"What other choice do we have, besides we won't know until we try right?" Twilight said.
"Ugh it's absolutely horrid here! Have these changelings never heard of the word Sanitation!" Rarity said.
Twilight ignored Rarity's comment and they proceeded inside her domain. It wasn't long until they reached her Throne Room.
"Well well well, What do we have here? If it isn't Twilight Sparkle and her friends, have you all come to pay me a visit?" Chrysalis said.
"Queen Chrysalis, we're here because... we need your help." Twilight said, worriedly.
"My help? You foiled my plans in Canterlot and forced me to find an alternative to feed my precious changelings and now you have the nerve to come here! To my own domain and ask for my help?" Chrysalis said. "Give me one reason why I shouldn't have you skinned alive right here and now."
Twilight's friends didn't know what to say, they were absolutely dumbfounded, but Twilight had one thing to say that might change the Queen's mind.
"Queen Chrysalis, please listen to me." Twilight said. "One of our best friends has been taken over by her own split personality."
"Yes, I noticed the pink one wasn't with you." Chrysalis said. "And I should care why?"
"Because that side of her has immeasurable strength, and only wants to wreak havoc and chaos upon the world!" Twilight said.
"Really now? That's quite interesting if I do say so myself." Chrysalis said. "But that still doesn't provide me with a reason to help you."
"But it does." Twilight said. "If she succeeds in causing mass hysteria across the world, how will you feed your precious subjects? Your changelings love to feed on the love and positive energy from those around, but if she, Pinkamena, succeeds then all that there would be is sadness, anger, insanity... need I go on?"
Queen Chrysalis sat there for a moment pondering, thinking about Twilight's explanation.
"We don't have to friends, we don't have to like each other, but right now we need to set aside our differences and help each other out." Twilight said.
"You... You raise a valid point Twilight Sparkle, finding food for my changelings isn't hard at the moment. But if what you say is true, than that last thing I would want to do is doom my entire race." Chrysalis said.
"So does that mean you're gonna help us?" Rainbow Dash said.
"Yes, I will assist you in stopping your friend, but this doesn't mean were friends now." Chrysalis said.
"I understand." Twilight said. "I appreciate you putting aside your hate to help us."
"Yes, I don't seem to have another choice for my changelings now do I?" Chrysalis said. "So where exactly are we going now?"
"Come on everyone, we have no time to lose! Full speed to Canterlot!" Twilight said.
"To save Pinkie Pie!" Applejack said.
"And to stop Pinkamena." Twilight said.
At Pinkamena's Perspective...
Luna laid on the ground, defeated and exhausted by Discord, both covered in cuts and bruises. The same for Celestia, whose injuries were more severe. Pinkamena's darkness was simply too much for Celestia to handle.
"Well then, that was actually a very entertaining battle." Pinkamena said.
"It almost looks like you didn't get a scratch on you." Discord said, breathing heavily. "Or that your even tired."
"I have much more stamina than that of a normal pony, and my healing capabilities are much quicker." Pinkamena said. "Now before I continue on... there is something I need to see."
Pinkamena walked towards Luna and looked at her.
"You... Princess Luna..." Pinkamena said. "You have more power than what you're showing us."
"Wh-What are you talking about?" Luna said.
"Ah yes, I can sense it inside of you, immense power that you once had but now lies dormant." Pinkamena said. "You would make a great addition to my forces..."
"W-What!?" Luna said. "No! Whatever it is your planning don't do it!"
"Oh Luna, you make it sounds like I'm actually going to listen to you." Pinkamena said gleefully. "Now hold still, you won't feel a thing..."
"Luna! My sister! No!" Celestia cried.
Pinkamena touched Luna's head with her hoof and poured in some her dark energy. Luna convulsed a little, her body growing larger in size as her eyes glowed a bright white, and slowly turning to a deep red. Luna has been transformed into her past self, Nightmare Moon, only this time with Pinkamena's power imbued with her, making her that much more deadly.
"Heh, there we go. The brand new you." Pinkamena said. "You will be my personal guard, is that alright with you?"
Nightmare Moon bowed her head at Pinkamena.
"Ha! As if there was any other answer, you're my puppet now anyway." Pinkamena said. "Nightmare Moon is too wordy, so I'll just keep calling you Luna."
Luna walked and took a stance near the throne.
"I'll be there in a minute, just one more thing I need to take care of..." Pinkamena said.
"Y-You monster... how could you do such a thing to my sister... how could you!" Celestia said.
Pinkamena slapped Celestia across the face.
"Shut your mouth, be grateful I haven't killed you already." Pinkamena said. "Should I do that now? What do you think Discord?"
"I think you should keep her imprisoned for a bit, have her watch as her entire world burns before her, Hahahaha!" Discord said, gleefully.
"Ohhh good idea Discord, I like that. It'll be more entertaining for me as well." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena threw Celestia to the other side of the throne and summoned wraps of darkness to constrict her movements.
"Be glad I took away the burning effect from those, that would have been a terrible time for you, Hehehehe!" Pinkamena said.
"Y-You... you won't get away with this!" Celestia said.
"Oh really? I won't get away with this? Who could possibly stop me now Celestia, please do tell me." Pinkamena said.
"Twilight... Twilight and her friends... I know for a fact they'll stop you..." Celestia said.
"Really? You really think those idiots have any chance of stopping me? I mean sure they've pulled through in past but come on now Celestia... really? I don't think the entire land of Equestria can stop me now! Let alone five confused ponies..." Pinkamena said.
"But! I guess we'll see when that time comes won't we?" Pinkamena said. "Until then, Discord you are free to go out and cause whatever mischief you'd like."
"Finally! Hahahaha! Some real fun!" Discord said.
"I only ask that you throw in some real destruction from town to town, not just your little environment changes." Pinkamena said.
"If that's what you want!" Discord said.
Discord flew out of the Throne Room and fly high above. With a snap of his fingers, the desired town bursted into flames. Town after town, they all collapsed and disasters overtook the lands. Ponies from all over were either fleeing to whatever safety they could find, or frozen by the events that occurred, too terrified to comprehend what was happening. It wasn't long before everything was burning.
"Hehehe..." Pinkamena said. " It's really just beautiful... just beautiful."
At Twilight's Perspective...
"We're almost there guys! Come on just a little farther!" Twilight said.
"Um Twi..." Applejack said. "You might wanna stop to look at this..."
Twilight turned around and saw everything... everything was burning... Manehatten, Las Pegasus, Ponyville... all of it.
"I-I don't..." Rainbow Dash said.
"It's just..." Rarity said.
"Come on let's hurry up, we're almost there." Twilight said.
"Twilight!? Don't you even care that everything is burning!? Everything is dying!?" Rainbow Dash said.
"I do care, but do you think that stopping here to stare at it is going to stop it? No it won't" Twilight said. "That's why we have to head over to Canterlot right now and stop Pinkamena!"
Everyone else agreed with Twilight and sprinted towards Canterlot.
"Well everyone..." Twilight said. "We're here."
Canterlot was covered in dark clouds and the sky was red, Pinkamena had already succeeded in taking it over.
"Are you ready guys?" Twilight said.
"Yea! Let's do this!" All of her friends said.
"And you Queen Chrysalis?" Twilight said.
"As ready as I'll ever be I suppose." Chrysalis said.
"Alright then, come on guys we have a friend to save!" Twilight said.
Twilight and her friends have arrived on the outskirts of Canterlot, along with Queen Chrysalis and her changeling army.
"Alright Twilight, now that we're here what should we do?" Applejack said.
Twilight turned and looked around Canterlot. Pinkamena's Chaos Guardians we're posted all around the perimeter and there were more probably stationed inside the city itself.
"There's too much security, we can't just walk in the front entrance or else they'll spot us immediately." Twilight said.
"Twilight have you forgotten?" Rarity said. "We asked Queen Chrysalis to help us for a reason remember?"
"Yea! Let's just charge right through them and head straight to the castle!" Rainbow Dash said.
"You guys really think that's a good idea?" Twilight said.
"Not to be impatient Twilight, but we really just can't stand here and think of a more subtle approach!" Rarity said. "Pinkamena has already taken over most of Canterlot, it won't be much longer until the rest of Equestria falls under her control."
Twilight knew that Rarity was right, waiting any longer would only create more problems in the future.
"Alright." Twilight said. "Queen Chrysalis, You and your changelings need to hold off Pinkamena's Chaos Guardians so we can make a run for the castle!"
"Alright, but what do you plan to do exactly once you reach her? Do you have some sort of plan for defeating her?" Chrysalis said.
"Yes, that's why you need to hold back her guardians for as long as possible." Twilight said. "We're not going to the Throne Room just yet."
"Then where are we going?" Fluttershy said.
"We have to get to the Elements of Harmony! It's the only way we'll be able to save Pinkie Pie!" Twilight said.
"But will they work?" Applejack said. "I mean, there's only the five of us right now, will it really work without Pinkie?"
"That's the tricky part, we have to find a way to get Pinkie's amulet on Pinkamena's neck." Twilight said. "I'm not sure exactly what will happen, but it's just gotta do something to help defeat Pinkamena!"
"I guess we don't really have any other choice right?" Rarity said.
"Well then what are we waiting for!? Let's hurry up and go get them!" Rainbow Dash said.
"Alright Queen Chrysalis, we're counting on you!" Twilight said. "Let's go everyone!"
Queen Chrysalis's army charged on through and flew all over the city, guardians mindlessly attacking whatever they saw was a threat, bodies dropping from both sides as the battle continued.Twilight and her friends sprinted as fast as they could to the vault which contained the Elements of Harmony.
"Look! We're almost there guys, just a little bit farther!" Twilight exclaimed.
The building that contained the vault was in sight and as they were about to get inside, a very familiar face had been waiting to greet them at the door.
"Well well well, If it isn't Twilight Sparkle and her little friends, trying to stop Pinkamena with the Elements of Harmony, you guys are really way too predictable." Discord said.
"Discord!" Twilight said. "How did you know we were coming!?"
"It's really quite hard to miss an army of changelings walking down the street towards the city." Discord said. "Not to mention the fact that it was really quite predictable that you would show up here in a feeble attempt to save your precious friend."
"We're getting through you and we're getting into that chamber!" Rainbow Dash said. "If you think you can corrupt us again you've gotta another thing co-"
"Yea yea yea, hold on I'm stop you right there." Discord said. "As much as I'd like to toy with you guys and have some fun with this, Pinkamena has told me that if you guys came, I'd have to deal with you asap. So yea that's the sad truth, but it was nice seeing you girls again." Discord said gleefully.
Discord raised his claw and lifted all five of them into the air using his magic, crushing and suffocating them. Before they're vision blurred and started to lose consciousness, the magic was broken and they fell to the ground, gasping for air.
"That was way too close!" Applejack said.
"You ain't kiddin! But what saved us?" Rainbow Dash said.
They all turned to see a swarm of changelings attacking Discord, making him lose his focus on his attack.
"Go!" Chrysalis said. "I'll hold him off here, you get the elements and head to the Throne Room!"
"But Chrysalis! We can't just leave yo-" Fluttershy said.
"Just go now!" Chrysalis said.
All five of them realized they had to go, there wasn't anymore time to think.
"Good luck Chrysalis." Twilight said. "I know you can do it!"
With that comment, Twilight and her friends rushed inside the Vault Chamber.
"Now Chryssie that was not a very smart idea..." Discord said, pushing her changelings away.
"Heh, since when do I have good ideas?" Chrysalis said.
Queen Chrysalis then battled with Discord outside the chamber, sounds of their punches and blows making contact could be heard from the five friends inside the chamber.
"I hope she'll be alright." Applejack said.
"Me to, but I think she's strong enough to hold her own against Discord." Twilight said. "Come on! Let's hurry up and get to the vault!"
They rushed up to the vault which held the elements.
"Uh Twi, how exactly do we open it now?" Applejack said.
"Yes, doesn't Celestia have a powerful magic that only she can break casted on the vault to protect it?" Rarity said.
"She does, but seeing as how most of Canterlot is under Pinkamena's control, I assume that Princess Celestia has been... defeated." Twilight said. "So the protection spell would have gradually weakened because of that."
Twilight walked up to the vault door and kicked it open with little effort. Rainbow Dash flew in and took the chest that contained the elements.
"I hope they're in here this time." Rainbow Dash said.
Rainbow Dash opened the box and thankfully, all six of the amulets were inside.
"I'm surprised Discord didn't try to hide them again." Applejack said.
"Let's be glad he didn't." Twilight said. "Now come on let's head to the Throne Room!"
They all put their amulets on, while Twilight held onto Pinkie's.
"How do we get there though?" Fluttershy said. "I'm sure that if we were to go back the way we came, Discord would definitely capture us!"
"Fluttershy is right, isn't there another way we can take?" Rarity said.
"No, not that I know of at least." Twilight said.
Twilight knew they were right, they couldn't possibly leave the way they came. They had to get out using other means.
"Alright, everyone get close to me." Twilight said. I'm going to try to teleport us directly into the Throne Room."
"Are you sure you can do that Twilight? I don't think you've ever teleported that far of a distance." Applejack said.
"I have to try, we need to get there now!" Twilight said.
All of them huddled closely together, Twilight's horn glowed at unprecedented brightness. Struggling to focus on her spell, her horn reached it's peak of power and with a flash they we're gone.
At Pinkamena's Perspective...
Pinkamena sat there in her throne, Celestia bounded to the ground by chain and Nightmare Moon, under Pinkamena's control, standing next to her.
"I wonder if Discord has taken care of those little annoyances yet." Pinkamena said. "Knowing him though he's probably fooling around with them... he really needs to start taking this serious."
Then in the middle of the Throne Room, a bright light started to form in the center.
"...!?" Pinkamena said.
The bright light got bigger and bigger until it flashed, leaving the five friends in it's place.
"Oh, so you actually made it here." Pinkamena said. "And you brought the Elements of Harmony, what could you possibly hope to achieve with those relics?"
Pinkamena got up from her throne and faced them.
"Twilight!" Celestia said.
Twilight looked over to see Princess Celestia imprisoned.
"Princess Celestia!" Twilight said. "Don't worry! I'll get you out of there!"
Twilight teleported next to Celestia and used her magic to destroy the chains constricting her.
"I knew you would make it." Celestia said. "I've always believed in you Twilight."
"I won't fail you Princess! I will defeat Pinkamena and save Pinkie from her control!" Twilight said.
Twilight ran back to her friends, Celestia now joining them as well.
"Alright Pinkamena, this is where is all ends! We're not letting you do anything else!" Rainbow Dash said.
Pinkamena didn't respond.
"Hey!" Rainbow Dash said. "Are you even listening to me!?"
No response.
"PINKAMENA!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"Huh? Wha?" Pinkamena said. "Oh sorry, That heartfelt reunion of yours with Celestia was just so boring... couldn't help myself but take a quick snooze."
"Why you!" Rainbow Dash said, about to charge towards here but is stopped by Applejack biting her tail.
"Calm down there Rainbow, that's just what she wants you to do, don't give into her taunting." Applejack said.
"I think I'll let Luna handle you guys, I don't really feel like fighting at the moment." Pinkamena said, sitting back down in her throne.
Nightmare Moon sprinted forward to the group, but was tackled by Celestia, forcing her to the opposite side of the room.
"You five handle Pinkamena, I will hold off my sister!" Celestia said. "I know you can do it!"
Celestia and Luna fight with horns and magic clashing with one another.
"Well Pinkamena, there goes your fabulous plan of letting Luna take care of us." Rarity said.
Pinkamena stood back from her throne and moved towards the group, only this time with a different attitude.
"Alright then fine." Pinkamena said. "If you really think you five have a chance against me this time, then come on! Show me just how much you are willing to save your friend!"
At Pinkie Pie's Perspective...
Pinkie Pie levitated there in her prison, as she as been for the entire time being.
"How long have I been here?... A few days?... Heh... It feels like it's been a few years already..." Pinkie said emotionless. "How anyone could stay sane here is just impossible..."
Pinkie's head drooped down, looking at what seemed to be the ground under her.
"I've seen... I've seen the resurrection of Discord... Canterlot being overrun... The fall of Princess Celestia... What else must I witness here!" Pinkie Pie said, crying.
Pinkie Pie started to have another vision of what Pinkamena is doing.
"...!?" Pinkie said. "No... No not my friends... Anything but my best friends! I can't bear to see them hurt! I can't... I just can't..."
Pinkie Pie closed her eyes, and refused to see the vision of her dear friends facing the demon that was once her...
At Pinkamena's Perspective...
Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy flew towards Pinkamena, while Twilight and Rarity were firing at her from a distance and Applejack was sprinting towards her.
"You guys never learn! Do you!?" Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena dodged Twilight and Rarity's attacks and avoided Rainbow Dash's tackle. Using her dark magic to grab Rainbow's tail, she flings her around and throws her at Fluttershy, both pegasi fly back and fall on the ground, they're wings twisting and bones popping from the impact.
"My wings! I-I can't move them anymore!" Rainbow Dash cried, unable to hold back tears from the searing pain while Fluttershy was already sobbing heavily.
Pinkamena dodges Applejack's kicks and sweeps her off the ground, picking her up by her tail and punching her with great force in her chest. The sound of Applejack's ribs breaking and organs failing could be heard by everyone. Pinkamena then threw Applejack towards the two unicorns.
"Applejack! Are you okay!? Can you speak!?" Twilight said.
Applejack couldn't say a word, the pain that came with speaking at the moment was something that she just could not endure. Distracted by Applejack, Pinkemena flashes in front of Rarity, not giving her a chance to react in time. Pinkamena grabs Rarity's horn and snaps it in half, kicking her on the ground and impaling her in the stomach with the broken piece. Rarity screamed at the top of her lungs and started to cry, trying to pull the severed horn out of her body.
"I truly expected more." Pinkamena said, grabbing Twilight by the neck and standing her up against the wall.
"Why do you resist?" Pinkamena said. "Is saving you friend really that important you?"
"Pinkie Pie is one of our best friends... and I'll fight for our friendship no matter what!" Twilight said.
"You can not save her though." Pinkamena said, delivering a blow to Twilight's stomach. "All of your actions up to this point have been for naught."
"No... they haven't, because we will... we will succeed in saving our friend! Your nothing Pinkamena..." Twilight said.
Pinkamena punched Twilight repeatedly all over her body, Twilight stood there bruised and bloody.
"No! You can't save her! You can't save this city! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK YOU HAVE ANY CHANCE OF BEATING ME!?" Pinkamena said.
Twilight looked up at Pinkamena's face.
"As long as there is even the smallest glimmer of hope... I will not stop until I defeat you and save everyone!" Twilight said.
Twilight grabbed Pinkamena's cloak, pulling her closer and shoving Pinkie's amulet on her neck. Pinkamena threw Twilight on the ground out of desperation. Pinkie's amulet started to glow it's vibrant pink color, as did everyone else's glow their color.
"Wh-What's happening!? What did you do!? Tell me!" Pinkamena said.
Twilight stood up, seeing Pinkamena trying to rip the amulet off, but to no avail.
"You see Pinkamena, defeating you is not the main thing going through our minds, nor do we have the desire to kill you either." Twilight said. "All we really want, is to just have our friend Pinkie back! And to restore order back to Equestria!"
The five friends' amulets all started to glow a bright, vibrant white light. The purity and clarity that emitted from the light also had that of a soothing feeling to it. The wounds that had been afflicted from before had completely healed and they had felt more powerful than they did before.
"Y-Your wounds! How could they have possibly healed that fast!?" Pinkamena said, trembling.
Pinkamena's amulet also started to glow, but it had a different effect on her. Her powers had been immensely weakened, though still powerful, she was weakened enough for the five friends to now have a fighting chance.
"M-My strength! What happened to all of my power!? This... This irritating light!... It makes my body feel so heavy and... blurs my vision!... Aughhh!" Pinkamena groaned.
Pinkamena backed up towards the throne, unbalanced and wobbly, she could not get a firm stance.
"Alright Pinkamena, this is where is all ends for you." Twilight said.
"N-No! Stay away from me! DON'T COME ANYWHERE NEAR ME!" Pinkamena cried.
Twilight sprinted in front of the group and tackled Pinkamena, biting her cloak and throwing her over her body into the center of the room. Rainbow Dash followed up with a downwards kick directly into Pinkamena's cheek, causing her body to slid back with a trail of blood following behind her. Pinkamena pulled herself together, trying to stand up before succumbing to more attacks.
"I don't understand..." Pinkamena thought. "They're attacks are so swift now..."
Applejack delivered a devastating blow to her torso, causing her stagger backwards.
"I can't keep up with them anymore..." Pinkamena thought. "Have the elements really weakened me to a point where I can't even dodge their most simplest attacks?..."
Twilight and Rarity both fired a barrage of magic bolts to her while she was staggered. Pinkamena fell to her knees, her body bruised and smoking from the continuous magic attacks.
"I was at the top of power and I'm losing..." Pinkamena thought. "But after coming this far... I can't... I just can't POSSIBLY LOSE HERE.
"Alright everyone! Now is our chance to finish her off! Fluttershy, would you like to deliver the final blow?" Twilight said.
"Who me?" Fluttershy said. "I-I don't know if I ca-"
"Hey, if anyone's gonna be the star here, it's going to be me!" Rainbow Dash said. "You guys sit down and watch how a pro handles it!"
Rainbow Dash flew towards Pinkamena, about to deliver the final blow.
"Can't lose... can't lose... can't lose... can't lose..." Pinkamena spoke to herself. "No... Not here... Heh heh heh..."
"It's over Pinkamena!" Rainbow Dash said, her hoof about to punch Pinkamena in the face, but was stopped mid-air. "Huh!? Hey! What's going on!?"
Pinkamena stood up and looked up at Rainbow Dash, her eyes bloodshot and her pupils dilated.
"Hehehehe... You shouldn't be so quick to think that you've won..." Pinkamena said.
Rainbow Dash shoved Pinkamena away and flew back towards her friends, fearing what might happen next.
"Watch out guys, she isn't done yet!" Rainbow Dash said. "Let's get he-"
Twilight put her hoof in front of Rainbow to stop her from charging. Twilight looked at Pinkamena and started to walk towards her.
"Twilight! What are you doing!?" Rainbow Dash said.
Twilight disregarded Rainbow's question and proceeded towards Pinkamena. Twilight looked her, her body bloody and beat up, her face bruised and eyes showing only hate.
"What are you going to do!? HUH! You think you can beat me!?" Pinkamena said.
Twilight walked closer and closer to Pinkamena, Pinkamena shot a blast of darkness towards Twilight, but missed.
"You take one step closer and you can make sure that I won't miss a second time!" Pinkamena yelled.
Twilight just walked closer with a smile on her face.
"I'M WARNING YOU! COME CLOSER AND I WILL KILL YO-" Pinkamena screamed.
Twilight raised her arms at Pinkamena... and hugged her.
"...!?" Pinkamena said. "Wha-What are you..."
"I've thought about it for a while now, and I finally realized why you're doing all of this." Twilight said.
"Wh-What do you mean!? How could you possibly understand my motives!" Pinkamena said.
Twilight released herself from Pinkamena.
"It's so simple, yet so complicated at the same time." Twilight said. "You and Pinkie were once the same person long ago, but you were locked away into her mind when she saw that Sonic Rainboom."
"I already know this! I'm the one who told you what happened in the first place!" Pinkamena said.
"Yes, and because of that you yourself have never experienced what it feels like to have friends, to laugh and play with them." Twilight said. "To feel happy."
Pinkamena backed up a bit.
"S-So? What does it matter if I haven't experienced love or happiness or whatever! Just look at how strong you can become without those stupid emotions holding you back!" Pinkamena said.
"Alright then" Twilight said. "Just what do you plan to do then when your plans succeed and you take over everything and everyone in Equestria?"
"Well that's simple, I would... I would..." Pinkamena said.
"You might be the most powerful being at the moment, thriving off anger and hate from everyone else." Twilight said. "But when you look at the big picture, you have absolutely nothing to gain in the end."
Pinkamena stood there, confused and angry at herself.
"Well then what else am I supposed to do!? I was pretty much created in all forms of negativity! It's all that goes through my mind! IT"S WHO AND WHAT I AM! WHAT ELSE IS THERE THAT I CAN DO!?" Pinkamena yelled, walking closer to Twilight. "What...else?"
Twilight waved her friends to come here, and extended her hoof at Pinkamena.
"What are you doing?" Pinkamena said.
"I'd like to be your friend Pinkamena." Twilight said.
Pinkamena's eyes widened, completely shocked of Twilight's request.
"Y-Your friend!? Are you serious!?" Pinkamena said. "I resurrected Discord, took over the Royal Guard, destroyed most of Canterlot and the other towns and cities and nearly killed you guys and you're asking me to be your FRIEND!?"
"It's not your fault that you were created in isolation from the rest of the world, something like you isn't even supposed to exist." Twilight said. "But I guess since it's Pinkie we're dealing with, anything is possible right?
"Twilight's got a point." Applejack said. "Heck it isn't your fault that you came out this way."
Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and Rarity all nodded their head in agreement.
Pinkamena stood quiet for minute, she turned around and looked at Celestia still fighting Nightmare Moon. She closed her eyes and raised her hoof, the dark energy that was controlling Luna left her body and went back to Pinkamena. Luna fell to the ground, returned to normal. She then turned around and looked at Twilight again.
"You don't blame me... for everything that I've done..." Pinkamena said. "and then you ask me to be friend..."
Pinkamena turned her head and she started to cry.
"Ever since I escaped my imprisonment, all anyone's ever displayed is fear and violence towards me..." Pinkamena said. "You're the first person to have ever showed me any kindness whatsoever..."
"I'm sorry it took me a while to realize, but no one can blame you for your actions Pinkamena." Twilight said, putting a hoof on Pinkamena's shoulder.
Pinkamena walked away towards Princess Celestia, who was sitting down with Luna.
"I... I want to apologize for everything I've done..." Pinkamena said. "But I don't expect you to forgive me for what I've done to you and your subjects..."
Celestia waved Pinkamena to come closer.
"I heard what Twilight said before, about you and how you came to be." Celestia said. "and I want to say that I agree with them."
"R-Really?" Pinkamena said.
"Mhm, I understand that your creation was unintentional, and that you were only formed from negativity." Celestia said. "With that being the only thing exposed to in your confinement, I'm not surprised this is how you turned out."
Pinkamena turned around and looked at Twilight again.
"Such understanding... I never thought I'd be graced with it... Hehehehe..." Pinkamena said. "Pinkie Pie really does have some great friends."
"You have nothing to be ashamed of Pinkamena, it's just who you are I suppose." Twilight said, with a laugh.
"Thank you... Twilight Sparkle." Pinkamena said, who then smiled for the first time. "This feeling... It makes me feel... relaxed... Heh... Could this be what I wanted all along?..."
"I'm glad to see that you've had such a change of heart." Twilight said.
"Well Twilight, as I've said I have you to thank for that." Pinkamena said. "In return... I will release Pinkie, and give her back her body..."
"You will?" Twilight said. "But then what will happen to you?"
"I'll return to the prison that I was held in my entire life..." Pinkamena said. "Obvious is it not?"
"What!?" Twilight said. "You're going to go back there?"
"I don't have any other choice Twilight, it's where I was created... so it's where I'll return..." Pinkamena said.
Twilight became heartbroken, helping Pinkamena realize how it feels to be accepted, rather then resented... only to have her sent back to complete solitude again.
"Do not pity me Twilight, as much as I appreciate your feelings... There isn't any other choice." Pinkamena said. "Besides, I can't stay here... I was never supposed to exist in the first place... Heh... It's kind of funny don't you think?... I spent my entire imprisonment trying to get out of there... and now all I want to do is go back..."
Twilight and her friends started to cry a little, even Rainbow Dash shed a few tears.
"Goodbye Twilight... and thank you." Pinkamena said.
Pinkamena's eyes started to glow a bright white and after a few seconds, her body collapsed onto the ground.
"Pinkamena!" Twilight said, all of them running towards her body.
At Pinkie Pie's Perspective...
Pinkie was still in her floating prison, eyes closed, trying to ignore whatever horrors Pinkamena created. Pinkie started to hear footsteps though however in the distant void.
"Huh?... Is... someone there?" Pinkie said.
The shadowy figure started to walk closer and closer to her until she was visible.
"...!?" Pinkie said. "Pinkamena!? Wh-What are you doing back here?"
"Hello Pinkie Pie." Pinkamena said. "Tell me, how does it feel to be stuck here for only a few days?"
"It's... horrible. I can't blame you for the way you came out..." Pinkie said. "But even so... if you hurt my friends in any way I swear I'll never forgive you!"
Pinkamena started to laugh a little.
"What? What's so funny?" Pinkie said.
"Your friends are alright Pinkie." Pinkamena said. "and I'm here to say that... I'm setting you free."
"You're... letting me go?" Pinkie said.
"Yes, I'm returning to my prison here of my own free will." Pinkamena said. The chains slowly unraveling from Pinkie's body and moving to constrict Pinkamena once again.
"But... why?" Pinkie said. "You've spent your entire life waiting for the chance to escape and now you're choosing to return? I don't understand..."
"Hmph, it was your friend Twilight Sparkle, who was the first person to ever show me any acts of kindness..." Pinkamena said. "Something that I've never experienced myself before..."
Pinkie started to feel more sad than happy to the fact that she could leave at the moment.
"Are you actually feeling sad towards me?" Pinkamena said.
"Well yea..." Pinkie said. "I mean... if you stay return here, won't you go back to losing your mind again?"
"I don't think so..." Pinkamena said. "I think I'll fine for the most part now..."
A white portal then opened behind Pinkie, so that she may return to her body.
"Go Pinkie, return your friends." Pinkamena said. "and continue living your happy-go-lucky life."
Pinkie looked back at the portal, and then turned back to look at Pinkamena.
"...I promise..." Pinkie said. "I promise! One day I'll help you leave this place for good! Don't you forget that!"
Pinkamena's eyes widened, as she started to laugh to herself.
"Hahaha!... You really are something else." Pinkamena said, signaling Pinkie to go through the portal.
Pinkie looked at Pinkamena, they both smiled at eachother, and Pinkie turned around and went through the portal.
...
... ...
Pinkie Pie opened her eyes, everything was blurry at first, but when she came to she was surrounded by her friends
"Pinkie?" Twilight said. "Is that you?"
"Ughhh... Twilight? I-Is that you?" Pinkie said. "Aughhh, my head hurts... and I am wearing Pinkamena's cloak?"
Twilight and her friends all ran to hug Pinkie Pie, everyone laughing and happy to see Pinkie back to normal.
"Ohhh Pinkie! We're so glad that you're back!" Twilight said.
"Aww thanks guys! It's really great to be back!" Pinkie said. "But... it was weird... Pinkamena returned to her prison of her own free will... what did you say to her to get her to do that?"
"I just thought that I'd offer to be friends with her, since no one has ever tried being nice to her." Twilight said. "It worked... but I was honestly depressed a little when she just left..."
"I'm very proud of you Twilight." Celestia said. "I always knew that you could do it."
"Thank you Princess Celestia." Twilight said. "But it wasn't so much a victory as it was a loss..."
"I understand where you're coming from my dear student, but there was nothing else that we could do at the moment." Celestia said.
"I guess you're right Princess." Twilight said. "I only wish their was..."
Queen Chrysalis then comes into the Throne Room.
"Twilight" Chrysalis said. "I assume you've won?"
"Chrysalis, I'm so glad you're okay!" Twilight said.
"Ohh how thoughtful of you" Chrysalis said, sarcastically.
"What happened with Discord and the guards?" Twilight said. "And my brother!? What happened to Shining Armor!? Oh! And Cadence! What happened t-"
"Calm down there, all the guards, including Shining Armor and Cadence were lifted from Pinkamena's control shortly after you defeated her." Chrysalis said. "And Discord was returned to a statue in the midst of out battle."
"Oh thank goodness!" Twilight said. "Thank you so much for helping Queen Chrysalis."
"Don't think this makes us friends or anything now, the next time we meet we're enemies once more." Chrysalis said, leaving the Throne Room with her changelings.
Twilight walked outside and saw Canterlot itself in ruins.
"It looks like we still have a lot of work to do if we want to return Canterlot, and the rest of Equestria, back to normal." Twilight said.
"Twilight is right." Luna said. "Just because Pinkamena is gone, doesn't mean the damage she caused will disappear as well."
"Ohh my sister! I'm so glad you're alright now..." Celestia said.
"Yes sister, I'm fine now." Luna said. "But Twilight is right, we have much work to do if we want to fix everything."
"You're right." Celestia said. "Come Twilight and friends, we have a lot of work to do."
"Come on everyone." Twilight said. "Let's go"
They all left the Throne Room except Pinkie, who was sitting there in thought.
"Come on Pinkie Pie!" Rainbow Dash said. "We got a job to do!"
"Oh yea sorry Rainbow, I'm coming!" Pinkie said, following her friends outside the castle.

... ...
"Heh... look at that... so many things are in ruin and so much work must be done in order to fix it..." Pinkamena said. "She might be an odd, weird, and somewhat annoying pony... but she's a good friend... and she always keeps her friends smiling..."
Hello everypony, Please bear in mind that this is my very first fic, its not going to be the best, some parts will probably unintendedly be left unexplained, and things might not be clear. I'm sorry to those of you who felt a lot of things were unclear to you, or not explained in more depth, but this is all I have at the moment I'll be thinking about writing another fic in the future, Pinkamena's Awakening was in all honesty a "rough draft" if I was any good at writing fics and based on most of the positive comments, I think I'll continue writing in the future and I'll try and learn from the mistakes I've made here.
But what do you guys think? To some/most of you, the ending was meh and ended to quickly I understand but was my story good in general? I'd like to hear your feedback to see if I did a decent job at the very least ^~^.
Also, a sequel is possible in the distant future and I'd like to ask all of you, how would you like me to approach it? Would you like me to turn Pinkamena evil again? Or find a way to completely separate her from Pinkie and try to be a nice person?...
