For getting kidnapped many times by the Dazzlings, Sunset was being treated like a kid by her own friends because of their paranoia through their mom act, to protect her. But this leads to madness.
Sunset gets kidnapped... again. By the Dazzlings. For the 55th time.
With the number of times that Sunset was held hostage by the Dazzlings, the girls' paranoia clouded their train of thought even stronger, and it only fuels their "mom" behavior towards her. And since she got kidnapped for the 55th time, the girls decided enough is enough and their mother act reaches over 9000!
That also means they'll make sure Sunset was never out of their sights or else they'll suffer a big heart attack. However, though, their improved "mothering" and "protecting" act becomes so good that it eventually fuels Sunset's childish side. And so with that, the madness begins.
Note: A lot of boob jokes, just so you know.
Also, expect more motherly mane 6 and a childish Sunset.
"Man, another shift done," Sunset said in relief just as she left the mall.
She walks to the parking lot for her car; she enters her vehicle, starts the engine, and carefully drives in reverse to be out of the parking position between two cars. And then she drives her way out of the parking lot and then turns right and drives down the street back to her neighborhood.
It was already 9 in the night, but Sunset was already tired. The sky is clear and all the star consolations can easily be seen up there. All the lights inside the buildings were still on, while some were off. Either the people in those buildings, houses, or apartment buildings are still awake or were asleep by now.
But as she enjoys the scenery of driving into the night sky through the empty street, a very familar van from around the corner slowly followed her.
Sunset stopped at the red light. She's getting sleepy as a single second count, she had along day during this day. Working at the Sushi place is tough, but the money is worth it after all. And besides, tomorrow is Sunday, just one day for the break with her friends and then they will have another tough week in school. The van that was following her parked in parallel parking in between two parked cars, so Sunset won't suspect it.
After a minute of waiting, the light turns green, Sunset turns the stick shift to drive mode, and she drives forward. Sunset yawned tiredly. Once she gets home, she will have a quick shower and a good nap. But you know what? Screw it, she'll just skip the shower and go to sleep instead. As she is thinking about an image of her bed, being a little tempting to get some sleep soon, the van continues to tail her from such a distance.
After 4 minutes of driving, Sunset made it home. She parked the car in her parking spot in front of her house and she turns off the engine and exits the vehicle. Sunset fishing for her key in her satchel, she picks it up and inserts the key into the doorknob. After twisting the door to unlock it, Sunset pulls the key out and puts it back in her satchel and she went inside.
Her pet Ray was sleeping peacefully in his own happy place. Sunset can't help but chuckle. She makes sure the door was locked and changed into her pajamas. After that, Sunset lies down on her bed with a long, tired sigh. Finally! A good night's sleep! And tomorrow, she will have another perfect day with her friends.

An hour later, three shadow figures stared directly at Sunset's house, smiling menacingly, knowing what to do.
"You got the sack that we're gonna need to carry her?" The figure in the middle, who apparently was the leader of this group, demanded her two lackeys.
The figure on the right nodded, carrying a sack, "I got it,"
"And the hairpin we need to break into her house?" The leader asked the one on the left.
The figure on the left holds a hairpin. "I got it! This should be fun!"
The leader smirk. "Good, and I got a gag with a sleeping dose on it. As usual, when we get to her, I gag her and she passes out to the effects. You put her in the big sack. And if she's in her house and the door was locked, we wait until night, and that's where you come in and use the hairpin to get us in. Now, let's get to business.
Hours later....
"Wakey, wakey, sleepy head...." a familiar voice said. Very menacing at the same time.
Sunset startled awake. Her hair was messy, her eyes were half-open. "W-what?!" She looked around and found herself in a dark room. She felt something tight on her left wrist. She turned to her left to see a handcuff tied her wrist to a bed she's in.
"Wait, what?!" Sunset cries out in shock, struggling a little to get the handcuff off of her wrist.
"Surprise," she turned to her front, and the lights went on, and much to her dismay, the three figures were Adagio, Aria Blaze, and Sonata.
Sunset groans in annoyance. She seems not so threatened by the situation she's in. To be clear, a few months ago, Sunset got herself in this situation before. She's been constantly kidnapped by the Dazzlings. However, every time they did so, Sunset miraculously escapes. Some other times, her friends came and saved her while the Dazzlings were already away. In fact, this is the 55th time this year Sunset herself got captured by the same people, being kidnapped by the same people is getting old, annoying, and predictable in her favor.
Sunset glared at the Dazzling leader with annoyance, "You know, this kidnapping is getting annoying Adagio. Especially if the same person you're constantly going after."
"We may kidnap you many times," Adagio said menacingly, approaching Sunset, leaning towards her a little, "And you may escape from us too many times, but this time we'll make sure you never escape again. I planned everything out to keep you occupied for much longer."
"Oh, but don't worry!" Sonata added, smiling. "We won't keep you here longer. All we need to know where is the portal to Equestria is, then you're good." she picked up a plate full of tacos. "And if you're hungry, we got you tacos!"
Aria ignored her childish sister and said, "Just tell us where is the portal," her glares hardened. "Now."
Sunset scoffed, "And why should I?" Sunset replied sarcastically, "Why should I when you kidnapped me so many times just for that question? Don't you know it's pretty obvious I would never tell a thing? Hell, I don't even have to worry about my life here if I don't comply."
"Drat," Adagio grumbled, her eyes filled with frustration. But she keeps her head cool but keeps her glare on Sunset. "You know what, honey? I'm getting tired to get information out of you, so we're just gonna hit the sack, but later morning, we're going to deal with you," But then she noticed Sunset was staring at her torso, knowing exactly what she's staring, "Hey! I see you're staring at my boobs!" She blushed madly. "Just stop!"
"I never thought your nice" pillows" are getting bigger, Adagio," Sunset smirked at her.
Now Adagio gets flustered, and her face turns red. "Just stop that, you weirdo!"
"No, I won't," Sunset replied with a cheeky grin and a teasing tone. "Speaking of which, why am I the only one you're after?" Her face shifted into a glare.
"Sweetie, your friends are a lost cause since they were never born in Equestria," Adagio answered. "But you are. You must know where the portal is."
"I wouldn't dream of it," Sunset told her, her face shifted into a smirk again. "In fact, if you take your time here trying so desperately getting information out of me, I can just stare at your tits as long as I like!"
Adagio madly blushed than earlier. "Enough!" she growled at her. "Anyway, I and the girls will get some sleep. So get yourself comfortable, honey."
When the girls left Sunset alone in this room. Sunset looked over her left hand with a handcuff on her wrist, being kidnapped again by the same three people. Sunset knew what to do. Since her phone was back at her house, she can't call her friends like those other few times where she got stuck in this situation before. She always planned if something like this happens again. She used her right hand to get something in her hair, something small.
She pulled out a hairpin from underneath her bacon hair; she inserts the pin into the handcuff, after a little of time and focus, she finally unlocks the handcuff, freeing her left wrist. Now, all she has to do now is get out of this place and make a run for it. She went for the door, but it was locked. She tries using her hairpin, but she ended up breaking it in half, cursing herself for breaking her only escape item. She turns around at the window. It's obviously locked as well but Sunset will have an idea.
She turns to her left to see a chair, a lightbulb turns on in Sunset's head. She grabs the chair and throws it into the window, shattering it into pieces. Sunset leaps into the window and lands smoothly on her feet, and next in her mind tells her to do, is to run. Run for it!
She looked around the neighborhood to see that the sun was rising. It's already 6 in the morning?! Sunset thought, surprised. Doesn't matter, I have got to get going before the girls see me like this!
Sunset makes a break for it from the Dazzling's house. Good thing, there are no cars driving around this late in the morning, so Sunset won't have trouble running on the road if she has to. She ran and ran for three minutes without stopping for a breather.
She ran and ran and ran until she can't run anymore. Sunset eventually stop and she was panting hard. She was sweating hard as well. She spent the next minute catching her breath. While she was regaining her oxygen, she looks around her surroundings and she looks to her right to see that she was already at the Sweet Apple Acres. Crap! Knowing Applejack, she should be awake during this late in the morning. Sunset has to run now if she doesn't want to be seen by her friend. If she could just take another 30 seconds to rest a little, and then...
"Sunset? It's that yah?" Nope. Too late.
Sunset hit a hard nerve to her stomach the moment she hears her friend's voice. She hesitantly turned to her right to see Applejack by the porch with a broom in her hands.
"What are yer doing running during this late in the morning with yer PJ's on while it looked like yer running on a marathon?"
Sunset nervously smiles at her, "Wouldn't you believe me if I tell you?" she tries to shrug.
Applejack's concern on her face turns into one of strict. She places her hands on her hips as she stares directly at Sunset with her eyes hardened. "Sunset, tell me the truth."
Sunset sighs in defeat. There's no point in hiding this from her friend soon. "Okay, look. I got kidnapped again by the Dazzlings," Sunset carefully explained to her. Whenever she gets kidnapped by the Dazzlings again, the girls went and act like moms to her, and this is exactly why she doesn't want her friends to know she got kidnapped again. It drove her crazy when her friends were babying Sunset. She saw Applejack's worried expression in one of rage. Now Sunset has to calm her down even though her friend is always been stubborn, "I made it back in one piece!" Sunset immediately explained, "I'm fine!"
"Sunset, this is another time where they kidnapped yah!" Applejack shouted, breaking her broom in half, and approached her with a half worry half-angry look on her face.
"Actually, if you lost count," Sunset carefully but hesitantly tried to correct her, "I'm kind of been kidnapped 55th times."
"See what ah mean?!" Applejack retorted, "Sunset, how could yah let this happen to yah many times?!"
"I don't know!" Sunset shouted back. "I was just minding my business. I mean, I knew I should've been more aware, but I can't only always be paranoid and not to live normally every once in a while."
"That doesn't help!" Applejack yelled at her but realized what she had just done. Her face softened. "I'm sorry for yelling at you, but this is getting way out of hand. Every time they kidnapped you, we got so scared something bad happens to you and this time we might not save you! How long they have kept you?!"
"Well," Sunset immediately answered. "not that long, literally. It was not long when I woke up to find myself in their house. I had a long shift at my workplace, and when I drifted to sleep, the skanks must have taken their chance and kidnapped me in my sleep. However, the moment they left me in a dark room, I easily found my escape. Now I'm Here."
Hearing that makes Applejack shocked. Her eyes widen, her blood goes colder than ever. That does it, it's time to do something about this.
"You're right, Applejack, this needs to be resolved," Twilight said determinedly, "Once and for all."
The girls were gathered in Rainbow's house, Applejack explained the situation to the girls, and especially how many times this year Sunset gets kidnapped by the Dazzlings.
"Don't say that you're fine!" Rainbow interrupted her, she looks very stern than before. "Don't say that your situation with the Dazzlings becomes annoying and predictable and you always got away." That doesn't help when you got kidnapped so many times!"
"But one thing I don't understand is why Sunset?" Rarity wonders. "Why is she what those brutes were always after?"
"Well, it is because since I'm from Equestria, that makes me a valuable target for them. Since they wanted to go back and do the takeover, they want to know where the portal is," Sunset explained. "But, being kidnapped by the same trio again, I would never, no matter what they do. In fact, I always enjoyed staring at Adagio's breasts."
Now that got the girls creeped out by the last part, Twilight immediately changes the subject, clearing her throat and said, "Well knowing how many times Sunset got herself in this situation, we can conclude that she's no longer safe in the outside world, especially since she was alone without us to protect her. Even though we tried making sure she's in safe hands, the Dazzlings still strike and get her."
"Babying me is not how you protect me," Sunset corrected her, but Twilight doesn't take that consideration really well.
"No," Twilight said stubbornly, "This can't keep going like this. Sunset Shimmer, from now on, we will make sure you are safe than we did a while back. And that means you should never stay out of our sights for 24/7!"
The rest of the girls nodded in agreement, Sunset terribly sighs. Being treated like a kid by her own friends was driving her to insanity, and it will become worse when they will try extra, extra, extra measures to keep her safe. And mothering her if they have to.
"So, Sunset," Twilight told her sternly. "From now on, you're staying with us 24/7 and you must never be out of our sights. In fact, I have my own ideas on how to ensure your safety."
"Ooh, ooh, me too!" Pinkie Pie chimed in. "I have ideas!"
"I've met some meanest animals in the wild," Fluttershy added. "They'll help to protect you."
"And since you can't help being kidnapped," Rainbow told her. "I can make sure they are no kidnappers, sniper assassins, or anyone who's out to get you. Believe me."
"Woah, Woah, Woah," Sunset quickly objected, waving her hands. "Look girls, I know you mean well but I can't keep you all from your homes."
"Oh relax, darling," Rarity told her. "We will arrange sleepovers each day, and later tonight, we'll have a sleepover at your place."
"This is for yer own good, Sunset," Applejack said sternly. "You'll be well secured until we deemed it's safe for yer to be yer own again! We will make sure you won't get kidnapped for the 56th time this year!"
"Yeah!" Pinkie cheered. "What she said!"
Sunset sighs. The girls were now more overprotective than ever? Can things get any worse?"
"I got something perfect to guarantee Sunset's safety," Twilight announced with excitement tingling in her veins.
The girls were gathered in front of the CHS building. It has only been a day since the girls, minus Sunset, declared to make sure Sunset was never in harm's way again. Ever again. Not again. They even used extreme measures if they wanted to be super sure whether Sunset is safe. That also means no one should leave Sunset by herself, no matter what it is.
Sunset was tiring of their "mothering" and "protective" behavior a while back when she was constantly getting kidnapped by the Dazzlings. Sure, she understands why they're doing this and why they are acting this way, but this is getting out of hand. And every time Sunset tries to reason with them, the girls silenced her, calling her names that a parent would call their daughters, and every time she tries to argue with them, they always told her off with a strict tone. Well, if Sunset had not been kidnapped so many times, she wouldn't be in this situation right now.
So Sunset tries to reason with them once more. "Girls, I understand you're worried but-"
Rarity waved it off. "Oh, no, no, no, no, darling," she fretted. "Ever since the first attempt they kidnapped you, we were worried sick! It gets worse every time they kidnapped you again, and again, and again! Our efforts in keeping you safe remained fruitless no matter what we do!"
Sunset just simply shrug. "Well, they'll never get information out of me no matter what they do."
Applejack stepped forward. "But it ain't good enough," she objected. "They kidnapped yah for like, fifty-five times already. It seems like we're not doing good enough to protect yah! But this time, we're gonna try even harder, even if it means we should never, ever, leave by yer side until we deemed yer are safe."
Sunset let out an annoyed sigh. "And again, girls, I am fine. Really, I am-"
But Pinkie let out a finger to her lips. "Nope! You are not fine!" She countered. "We just need to be super, duper sure that you're extra safe!" She spread a wide grin on her face.
Twilight cleared her throat to get reclaim their attention. "As I was saying," she continued. "I got us something perfect to guarantee her safety. And this is something that I've been working on." She dig her hand into her skirt pocket and brought out a small plastic rubber, she threw to the ground next to the Wondercolt Statue and next thing she knew, the small plastic rubber formed into a giant sphere that they can easily see through it.
The girls even Sunset are astonished at Twilight's latest project, while she on the other hand, formed a confident smirk across her lips.
"This right here is the Super Sphere 2.0," Twilight introduced it to them. "It's bouncy, and it's made out of rubber, but, this thing can protect Sunset. No one is taking her away if she's in this thing!" She gaze over to the redhead. "Now, Sunset, I want you to step inside of the sphere, please?"
Sunset can't help but started to giggle. "I mean, if you want to protect me so badly, are you even sure is perfectly safe? For me?"
Twilight scowled. "Yes, yes it does," she replied with a stern tone. "I worked very hard for this, and for you." She pointed at her. "So please, be a good dear and step in the sphere?"
Sunset just shrug. She can't help but see how utterly ridiculous Twilight's idea is, so without a word, she just steps in and Twilight zips the ball.
"Okay," Twilight said smiling. "Now that you're fully secure, we shall make our way to our classes."
So Sunset just nodded and went in first. This was a bad idea, but if she can't reason with her friends, then maybe being in this sphere can show them why it's so ridiculous in the first place. But actually, maybe being in this sphere is not a bad thing to her at all, even though it's so ridiculous.
But attending school in a hamster ball (Rainbow Dash) calls it, seems a good idea to the girls, a ridiculous idea to Sunset, but an odd situation to the rest of the student body. Well, breaking school property on accident is one of those problems with the ball, even if Rarity is to generous enough to cover for her. As much as Sunset is concern, reasoning with her friends out of this is still not an option. At least they're fair enough to let her out of the ball to use the restrooms, and when it's lunch period.
But other than that, the hamster ball seems fun for Sunset since it's bouncy and all.
At least it couldn't get any worse during soccer practice.
"Gilda, cross!" Rainbow called out, running towards to the goal with Lightning Dust.
Gilda dribbled the ball past a few cones on the left wing of the pitch. She gaze over to the two strikers running for the box, she kicked it high to their direction. Both Lightning and Rainbow readied themselves for the pass, if either of them gets the ball.
However, both were knocked off by the sudden impact of the hamster ball, Sunset bounced herself in the ball and leaped, bouncing the soccer ball all the way to the goal net.
Rainbow and Lightning quickly picked themselves up as Sunset went to them. "I'm so sorry about that," she apologized. "Are you two alright."
Lightning scowls at her. "Yeah, no thanks to you."
Rainbow shrugged. "Eh, no big deal. If we perform like that, then Crystal Prep won't stand a chance."
Lightning snorted. "How do you expect us to play properly with Shimmer in the hamster ball, captain?" She sneered at her.
Rainbow gave her a scowl for that sneer. "We will think of something. Trust me."
Gilda rolled her eyes as she regrouped with them. "Yeah, and everyone's gonna ask questions why one of our strikers is in a "hamster" ball." She scoffed.
Rainbow placed her hands on her hips and gave her a glare. "Look, if you don't want that, then you can sit on the bench for all I care."
Lightning let out a groaned. "But why?" She complained. "Why do we need our striker to be in a "hamster" ball without telling us? Are you, like, obsessed with her or something?"
Rainbow stomped like an immature child. "Hey! I'm just protecting a friend here!" She growled.
Not wanting this to escalate further, Sunset went forward to defuse the situation but failed to realize that she's still in the hamster ball, thus knocking Rainbow to the ground on accident. Again.
Sunset winced at hurting her friend again. "Sorry, Dash!" She immediately apologized.
Dash picked herself again and dusted herself off. "It's okay, Sunset," she replied, turning to the redhead. "Why don't you just wait by the goalpost and let deal with them?"
Sunset looked at her with hesitate in her eyes. "Are you sure?"
She nodded in return. "You had to take crap from Lightning and Gilda because you're in the hamster ball, and it's not right. So please, let me handle them."
Sunset took a moment to think about it, until she hesitantly nodded. "Okay..." she whispered.
Rainbow smiled. "Don't worry too much, just have fun with the hamster ball or something." She encouraged.
Sunset complied without question, when she's already by the goalpost, Rainbow turned back to her teammates with a scowl. "You two better chill out, my friends and I got it under control."
Lightning gave a sarcastic chuckle. "Really? You and your friends literally put Shimmer in a ball, made her attend school with that thing, broke some stuff, ignoring our pleas to take that thing away, and you still have the nerve to keep her in that thing for practice?"
Rainbow fumed, her egoistic teammate's giving her the nerves. "Like I said, we got it under control."
Meanwhile with Sunset, trusting her friend that she handled it, she observed the sphere she's inside of. While she had some guilt for damaging school property and had Rarity to cover for her, this hamster ball was still ridiculous to an extent and yet, it seems kind of... fun for her. It's soft, bouncy, and just as soft as Adagio's breasts.
With the desire of fun driving, she decides to take a few bounces with the sphere, and yeah, it is bouncy. And hopefully as soft as breasts, Adagio's most likely.
While Rainbow and the others are oblivious with Sunset's antics with the ball, Sunset bounced high and even on the goalpost, after taking a few bounces, she leaped over the small fence and to the edge of the parking lot, she needed a break from her overprotective friends every once in a while of course. As long as she doesn't take long for them to realize she's gone.
After taking a minute, bouncing with the hamster ball, she stopped for a breather and think, getting kidnapped for fifty-five times to the point she doesn't care anymore, not that she doesn't care if her home world was at stake if she ever squeal, of course she won't, it's just that their goal in kidnapping her repeatedly was getting old, boring, very quick. And as for her friends, they get crazier and paranoid every time she got kidnapped, and their efforts in protecting her were always fruitless, and she gave up trying to reason with them but instead, went along with to make them see that this hamster ball was a bad idea, even though it seemed fun to herself.
Speaking of fun, looking back now, every time her friends were "protective" of her and "babying" her, she always felt this feeling, something unnatural and yet, not so bad at all that she acted it out, thus fueling the girls' "motherly" attitude towards her. This feeling that tingled, making her somewhat childish to take their overprotective ways seriously. She can't point a finger to it but if she took a guess, maybe it's because she had a rough childhood back in Equestria, especially with Princess Celestia even though she enjoyed magic but had no friends at the time. So maybe her inner child was trying to break free from all this time? The more she looked back those times her friends were overprotective of her, and the times she responded with silly behaviors, the more it makes sense to her why she's acting this way.
But before she decided to go back, she heard sounds of boots clasping on the concrete, added with a devilish chuckle. Sunset groaned in annoyed, knowing who exactly had come for her.
"It seems my suspicious are correct, you are rolling in a hamster ball," A voice behind her taunted.
Sunset turned around with an annoyed glare. "When will you give this up, Adagio? It's getting old, and boring, very quickly."
Adagio let out a faux chuckle. "Oh please, we will never give up. Our only way in to Equestria is you," she pointed at her.
Sunset crossed her arms over her chest. "Well what are you gonna do about it?" She dared to ask. "I mean, how can you get me? I'm in this "hamster" ball after all."
Adagio gave her a devilish smirk. "Oh really? You think that's more than enough to keep you safe?"
Sunset blinked for a few moments. "I mean, Twilight said this guarantee for my "safety" even this seems silly, I don't seem to care. Except for damaging school property on accident even though Rarity covered for me."
"Okay, enough with the chit-chat, Shimmer," Adagio said with a hint of blunt in her tone. "I'm taking you away again."

Sunset found herself being pushed away from the building by Adagio, with the lead siren pushing and kicking the hamster ball to make it quick, even Sunset never bothered to flinch with each push and kick. She just stayed still, with her arms crossed and remained numb to this situation.
"This is stupid." She muttered.
Adagio caught up with her. "This is too easy." She bragged, giving her another hard kick, sending her another good distance from the school. And catching up with her again. "Your friends made this way too easy for us to get you again."
Sunset rolled her eyes. "Like I know you'll fail again." She said with a tired tone.
Just as Adagio continued pushing Sunset to their van, there are three freshmen from across street, they witnessed of what's going. And terror soon filled in their veins when they saw one certain girl who they thought they'll never see again, and especially the situation Sunset was in.

"I hope I made it clear this time and I don't have to repeat it," Rainbow grumbled.
Lightning Dust and Gilda groaned in annoyed, giving up to get their captain to see reason.
Lightning held her hands up and spoke with a calm tone. "Alright, captain, fine. But just so you know, all of that will bite you back in the butt, big time."
Rainbow sighed. "Let's just go back to practice."
But before they do, the rest of the Rainbooms showed up. Rainbow noticed them and greeted with a smile on her face.
"Oh, hey guys! You here to see us practice?"
Rarity offered her with a smile. "Oh sure, and we're also here to keep on Sunny."
"And I'm the only one who knew the password of the sphere," Twilight added. "If she needs to use the restrooms, I'm here."
"Anyway," AJ said. "It seems that the three of yah had some sort of argument, care to explain what's going on?"
But before the three Wondercolt players to explain the issue, their heard cries for help. Knowing it's the voices of the CMC, and trusting their instincts, Rainbow, Rarity, and Applejack rushed over to the three girls panting and drenching sweat by the goalpost, they've must ran all the way here.
"What is the matter, girls?!" Rarity fretted, checking over her sister while the others do the same.
But Apple Bloom answered it for after she gasped for one long breath and blurted out in a rapid pace; "It's one of those sirens again from The Battle of the Bands and she's taking Sunset away!!"
The news send them to deep shock and terror. Horrified for Sunset, they once again failed to protect her. Their recoiled in realization of the last person who was suppose to keep on her, and all eyes turned to the Wondercolt captain.
Rainbow hit her head in frustration. "I'm such an idiot! I'm supposed to look out for her!"
AJ narrowed her eyes at Dash. "Dangit, Dash! Yah got one job! This ain't putting a smile on my face!"
"But wait!" Pinkie intervened. "If the Dazzlings just took Sunset, then that means it's not too late. We can still save her!"
"They went that way and they shouldn't be that far!" Scootalo guided them, pointing the direction where they came from.
And before the CMC knew, the girls rushed to where Scootalo pointed. And all of them shouted, "SUNSET! WE'RE COMING!!"

"Aria! Sonata! Is the bus ready?!" Adagio called to them, slowly pushing Sunset to the parked van by the corner of the street.
Sonata popped out from the window of the driver's seat. "We're ready, Adagio!"
Adagio let out a sinister chuckle. "Good, now, Sunny honey, I hope you buckle up your seatbelt for a ride back to our house."
Sunset just rolled her eyes. "Great..."
But just as they're about to get her in the van (or bus), somehow, they heard loud voices incoming. They turned back only to see the Rainbooms running after them, seeing them coming for them send shivers in their spines and making them panic.
In panic, Adagio frantically find the zipper of the ball. "Quick! Let's get her out of this thing and stuff her in the bus!"
"HANG IN THERE, SUNSET!" Twilight's voice boomed as they're getting closer.
Both Adagio and Aria yanked the zipper but to no luck. "Why we can't unzip this thing?!" Aria growled.
Sunset just shrug. "Well, only Twilight knows the password. She told me to look away when she input it."
"STOP RIGHT THERE, YOU MEANIES!" Pinkie Pie screamed, they're closing in alright.
"Oh, forget it! Let's just stuff her in the bus!" Adagio instructed her.
"With the hamster ball?!" Aria replied back.
"Just do it!" She shouted. "And Sonata, start the bus already!"
Sonata buckled her seatbelt. "You got it!"
So they pushed the "hamster" ball into the van as hard as they can to a fruitless effort, but they kept going.
"THEY'RE GETTING AWAY! AJ shouted. "QUICK, STOP THEM!"
Sonata just realized something that made her dead nervous. "Uhm, girls," she spoke with hesitate in her voice. "I.. kind of... lost the keys..."
Aria's eyes shot at her. "You WHAT?!"
Sonata gulped, sweats begin to fall from her head. "I'm so sorry..."
"WE'RE ALMOST, THERE, SWEETIE! JUST HANG ON!" Rainbow shouted from a distance.
"Well, that's just great, Sonata!" Adagio growled, her eyes were filled with anger. "Now we once again, failed to kidnap Sunset Shimmer and get information to take over Equestria!"
And suddenly, the Rainbooms appeared behind her. "Hold it right there!" Applejack halted, stopping them dead in their tracks.
The Rainbooms had caught them, their blood boiled once again. How dare they attempt to kidnap Sunset again?! Deadly glares shot at the Dazzlings, clenching their fists together in a complete tightness. The sirens never dared to move now that they're outnumbered.
"I think you got someone that belongs to us," Twilight spat at them, her gaze remained deadly as she could muster.
The van couldn't handle the size of the hamster basl, and thus bouncing Sunset off of the van and soured over her friends and she landed smoothly on the concrete.
"Sunset!" The girls exclaimed, rushing towards her. Twilight typed the password to unlock the ball and let Sunset out. And soon, she was met with a warm embraced and cries from her friends.
"We're so sorry, we didn't do well enough to protect you!" Fluttershy cried.
"I'm the one who should be sorry!" Rainbow added with a sob. "You and I had practice together, and I told you to wait for me as I spoke to Lightning and Gilda! I'm so sorry, Sunset! Please don't be mad!"
As much as Sunset never felt being danger for getting kidnapped so many times, she hated to see her friends cried like this, and it makes her feel sad too.
"Look, girls," she spoke, making them stop, and letting go of them. "I understand but you are not the blame here, well-"
"Well nothing, darling!" Rarity interrupted her, putting a finger on her lips to silence her. "We promise, we will do better this time around!"
Pinkie nodded, wiping away her tears. "We will do super, duper, and extra duper, better to keep you safe, Sunny!" She added with a worried look. "We promise!!"
AJ gently took her hands. "At least yer okay! Thank goodness!" She sighed in relief. "As they said, we promise it won't happen again!"
"I appreciate it, girls, but-"
"Say no more, Sunset!" Twilight immediately spoke. "Just say no more, I think it's time for us to return to school before the teachers catches us skipping class in the next few minutes."
"But first, let's deal with the Dazzlings," Rainbow declared as she turned around but to find them gone already. "Hey, where did they go?"
Pinkie adverted her gaze to her left and spotted them. "Oh! There they are!"
The Dazzlings are seen pushing the van from the back and the all the way to their house.
"You prevailed, this time, Shimmer," Adagio grunted. "But next time, we will get you..."
Another day later, true to their word, the girls planned sleepovers every night for Sunset's safety. Despite Sunset tried, keyword tried, to protest that they don't have to just to protect her, she gets silenced, as usual, telling her they will do better, their motherly behavior Is still up to 100, Sunset can't help but give in to this... thing in defeat. But at least they tone it down for a bit. That's good. A little.
A sleepover was held in Rarity's house, and knowing Twilight at this point came up with another idea. Great, I wonder what she's got in mind this time?
"Are yer sure this sensor motion thingy works, Twilight?" Applejack asked her, taking a bite of her slice of the pizza.
The girls were all in Rarity's room, pizza boxes laying on the bed, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie were talking, Twilight was helping Rarity with her math homework, and Sunset and Rainbow Das were playing Dream League Soccer on console, Applejack was a little uncertain about Twilight's invention.
"It's 100% guaranteed," Twilight answered. "Unlike my hamster ball just yesterday, this thing is perfect. It can detect unwanted visitors."
"Twilight, those things were already a thing during this time and age," Rainbow told her whilst bothering to look back, keeping her focus on the video game. "You don't need to make your own version of the motion sensor and brag about it."
"Well, my motion sensor can do things what ordinary types can't do," Twilight corrected her, "It can contact the police immediately as the intruder steps in, I can go on and on but all I can tell you it does more than the ordinary motion sensors."
"What, can it teleport intruders to the moon that are the size of your tits?" Sunset joked. Rainbow laughed at that joke.
Twilight stood up and looked so strict of a sudden, "Now don't you sass me, young lady," she told her friend sternly. And then, the timer on her phone suddenly alarmed, telling her the time was up, "Anyway, time's up. That means it's time to remove that recovery boot."
Oh yeah, while Sunset was sitting on a soft armchair, she had this big metallic boot on her right leg. The machine was enormous that it covers up to the knee part. Twilight walks over to Sunset and Dash. She presses a button on the foot part and the machine opens. She picks it up and puts it aside.
"I'm sorry Sunset, but this thing takes a long time to recharge," Twilight informed her. "It took one day to recharge this thing to 50% and two days for this to reach to 100% percent. I just hoped that one day is enough to keep your knee healed."
"And I got something just to be sure," Rarity added. She pulled out something from her drawer to reveal a purple knee bandage that was made by herself with her style. She steadily puts it on Sunset's weak spot and, of course, gives it a kiss as well, "There, that should do it."
Sunset smiled, "Thanks but I'll be fine soon enough."
"Oh no no no no," Rarity quickly denied. "You are not fine until we can be sure that you're fine. You and Rainbow Dash have a game against Crystal Prep this weekend, and before that, we need to be extra sure your knee is ready for the action."
"You just need to take it easy, Sunset," Twilight advised her.
"And besides," Rainbow added, "While you, me, and the team were at the pitch, I'll keep my out on the opposition, to make sure they don't slide tackle you, or worse."
"Thanks, but it's getting weirder and weirder when you girls are acting like you're my mo-"
"Say no more!" Pinkie Pie suddenly went up to her face from out of nowhere. "We'll do our best! Pinkie promise!"
Sunset sighs just as Pinkie returned her original spot. At least they can't get out of control, right?
Just then, someone was knocking on the bedroom door. Applejack was the first to open it, only to see her little sister, holding a plate of small cups of ice cream.
"Bloom? Is there something yah need?" Applejack asked her sister. "Yah girls need help with the movie yer watching downstairs?" Yes, Apple Bloom and Scootalo were here too. They're just downstairs with Sweetie Belle, for a movie night.
"Well, ah've been meaning to serve yah lot with ice cream ah've been making," Apple Bloom offered. "Scoots and Sweetie Belle already got theirs by the way."
Upon they heard the magic word, Pinkie, Rainbow, and Sunset instantly rushed towards the door.
"You kidding?! No way!" Rainbow exclaimed excitedly.
"Yes! Now we're talking!" Pinkie shouted in delight.
"Ice cream! Alright!" Sunset cheered.
"Then come and get 'em!" Bloom challenged
So, a moment later, the girls took each of the small cups of ice cream. However, though, as soon as they take the bite, the mood was instantly ruined when the taste stopped them and they spit it out in disgust. They realized what was inside the ice creams, or technically, it's not ice cream at all.
Rainbow spat out some of the food, "Chicken and rice ice cream?!" She cried out, looking closely at the food and she can see it clearly.
"Gross!" Pinkie exclaimed.
Fluttershy widened her eyes in horror. "C-Ch-Chicken?!" Her face immediately turns green, and she instantly rushes to the bathroom.
Rarity shivered in disgust over the taste of the food, and some of its remnants were on her carpet, and then she tries to maintain her composure, "Well, this... food may be unfortunate but I still admire Apple Bloom's skills of... trying."
Rainbow Dash looked at her with a "Da heck" look and reach out her own cup of "ice cream" to Rarity's face. "Does this smell like she's trying?" Rarity smelled the food and her face instantly turns green. She covered her mouth with her hands to prevent herself from vomiting.
Applejack spits some out of her mouth. "Bloom, why are yer doing this?"
"Well, yah said I'll try something better this time around," Apple Bloom recalled.
"Ah didn't specifically mean to "go make the same dish again, but try to improvise to make the taste better," it ain't how it works," Applejack told her.
Apple Bloom sighs in defeat, knowing that her sister is right, "Okay, ah'm sorry," she apologized.
Applejack smiled at her apology, "It's alright, Bloom. Now help us to clean up this mess," AJ told her.
So an hour later, the room was cleaned; they finished their pizzas, empty pizza boxes were placed neatly by the left corner, sleeping bags were placed. Rarity offered Sunset to sleep with her in her kingsize bed. Sunset was about to refuse but again, they silenced her, telling her she needs to sleep with Rarity in her bed. Sunset decides maybe it's not worth it to keep protesting, so she gives in her friend's offer.
But before that, they have something for her to do.
"Wait," Sunset blinked, "how many glasses of milk?"
"3 glasses," Pinkie repeated. She had 3 glasses of milk in her hands.
"Isn't that much...?" Sunset asked them hesitantly.
"It's only 3 glasses of milk," Twilight told her. "It should help you with your sleep. Now please, drink."
Not wanting to question any further, Sunset drinks 3 glasses of milk each. When she was done, she suddenly felt sleepy. Well, worked anyway. Seeing the effects of the milk work their magic in her, Rarity gently pulls Sunset down on the bed. The blanket was pretty big and soft. She tucks her in. Rarity follows suit and sleeps next to her friend. The other girls lay back in their own sleeping bags and went to sleep as well.
3 hours later, as if a goodnight's slumber is not enough, Rarity slowly opens her eyes, hearing someone muttering, and from the sounds of it, it's not good at all. She turns to her left to see Sunset tossing her head, she's muttering but being the older sister to Sweetie and has been dealing with this situation with her little sister before, Rarity immediately concluded that Sunset is having a nightmare, and from the looks of it, it's not good.
Sunset, in her sleep, moves her arms around and knocks over a hairbrush. And it fell on Rainbow's head.
"Ouch!" Rainbow cried a little, rubbing her head, "What was that?" She slowly stands up and sees Sunset rather... moving while in her sleep, and she's muttering as well. Rarity was patting her head in hopes of calming her down. Rainbow's face changed from an annoyed look of concern and worry. "Rares, what's going on?"
Sunset's constant muttering disturbed the girls of their peaceful slumber. They stand up and look over the two girls in the kingsize bed. Rarity gently picks her up, getting Sunset to rest her head on her chest, and holds her tight, rocking back and forth in order to ease her nightmare.
"It's Sunset," Rarity answered quietly whilst doing her best to calm her friend. "She's having a nightmare."
"Oh, poor Sunset," Fluttershy said worriedly.
"Can't you wake her up and tell her she's having a bad dream?" Rainbow suggested.
"No, darling, because it's only making it worse for her," Rarity denied, she continued rocking Sunset back and forth, "This takes me a little of time, but I know what I'm doing."
After a minute, Sunset stops muttering, however, she looks so discomfort. The girls can't tell if that means her nightmare has worsened, or it stopped. However, only Rarity can tell. To make Sunset feel comfortable, she tries stroking her hair and gently continued rocking her back and forth. She even went as far as singing her a lullaby she once sang to Sweetie once, then they were little. After a while, Sunset is now looking comfortable, confirming that her nightmare has stopped.
They watched her sleeping peacefully on the Fashionista's chest. The girls can't help but find it cute. And they were getting tired and really needed some sleep.
"Yer sure yer comfortable in that position, Sugarcube?" Applejack asked her and she let out a yawn.
Rarity yawned as well. "Trust me, I've dealt with this situation with Sweetie Belle before, so yes, I'm used to this."
"But your sister is short than us and Sunset is just as tall as you," Rainbow pointed out.
"I said I'm used to sleeping like this," Rarity repeated. "What matters is that now we're all here, the Dazzlings can't get a hold of Sunset. Not when I'm keeping her in my hold."
So the girls agreed to this and head back in their sleeping bags. Rarity is the last one to fall back asleep, but not before she holds Sunset as tightly as she can, and then she drifted asleep as well, knowing Sunset will finally have a peaceful slumber.
"Morning, bedhead," the sound of Rainbow's voice was more than enough to get her awake. "Get up or we all be late."
"N-no..." Sunset said in a sleepy, childlike way. "5 more minutes... I'm still too tired to go to magic school..."
Rarity sighs, she moves her head to get her awake, "Now, now, darling. You heard what Rainbow said. We should all get up now if we don't want to be late for school. We need that education, darling."
Sunset slowly opened her eyes and soon realized she was resting her head on Rarity's chest. She felt her arms clinching her. Sunset was confused and embarrassed at the same time.
"I don't understand... how...?" She was lost for words.
"Well, darling, you have a nightmare last night," Rarity answered, "I can tell, you were being uncomfortable, you were muttering in which I can't comprehend what you're saying but I can tell it's not good. So I'm the one who calms you down."
"Oh...." Sunset looked down, feeling so embarrassed. The girls can tell she was embarrassed. Who can blame her?
"Hey, cheer up, there's nothing to be embarrassed about," Applejack said, "Now are yer gonna tell us what yer nightmare was about?"
Sunset still looked down, with Rarity still embracing her. "No, I don't want to talk about...." she replied quietly.
AJ sighs, "Okay, we understand. But tell us if yah need," she told her.
"But hey," Rainbow added, "At least the Dazzlings can't grab you as they did in their past 55 attempts."
"It's not the time to talk about that, Rainbow Dash," Twilight lectured her, and she turned to Sunset, "Maybe it's the lack of brain food, added to Apple Bloom's "secret recipe". You just need some brain food and it will lessen the chances of you having those nightmares again."
Sunset sighs, agreed to Twilight's suggestion, so she looked up to her friends, "How about I'll eat that for lunch period?"
Moments later, it's time for lunch period in CHS. The students were in the cafeteria, chatting and eating their food with their friends and schoolmates.
Sunset was the last one to receive her food on her lunch tray and walk over to her and her friends' usual spot. She sat next to Twilight and Pinkie Pie, Applejack, was sitting next to Pinkie while the other three girls were sitting at the other side of the table.
Sunset nodded, "Well, I am a vegetarian," Sunset claims, but before she eats her food, Pinkie reaches out her fork and picks up one small piece of cabbage.
"Sorry, Sunset, but I need to examine this carefully," Pinkie suddenly answered. She looks at the small piece of cabbage carefully and even takes a bite of it. She smiles in relief, confirming its actual food. "Okay! its real salad! Not Chicken and rice!"
Sunset sighs in relief. "Now that was a relief."
"How did I not notice that carefully?" Twilight said.
"Well, at least we're eating actual food here," Rainbow said. "Then again, I sure hope Apple Bloom tries something new for once."
But she was wrong, because, at another table, Flash spits his food out in disgust, "Ugh! What is this?" He looked close to his hotdog, "Chicken and rice hotdog?!"
Apple Bloom froze in the spot. She was sitting in between Scootalo and Sweetie Belle. She quickly makes a run to the exit before Flash connects the dots.
"Oh, Apple Bloom..." Applejack sighs, shaking her head.
Later at night, a sleepover was held at Flutershy's house...
Pinkie Pie spins her fidget spinner on the ground, Sunset watches it amused.
"And that my friend is how fidget spinners work," Pinkie finished.
"I still find it funny that Sunset has no idea what a fidget spinner is," Rainbow snickered.
"Well, excuse me that we don't have phones, cars, and computers back in Equestria," Sunset objected, "All we need to rely on in my homeworld is our magic. We used our magic for everyday activities."
"But here we can't even use our powers every day because it will give us a crazy energetic boost," Twilight added.
"Yes indeed," Sunset agreed.
Until then, Pinkie's pinkie sense is tingling and she can tell Sunset has got something, and she knows what it is.
"Sunset, sweetie, my pinkie sense is telling me that you have plush toys," Pinkie confirmed.
Sunset beamed up, "Oh yes! I do!" She unzips her black bag, "It's all in here!"
Rainbow snickered again, "Plush toys?"
"Ha! Childish...." Pinkie muttered, and then she picks up her own toy, Gummy, "Now tell me, Gummy; is Sunset too old for plush toys?" she asked her toy, "Yes, yes she is," Pinkie said in a mocking tone.
"Why should I be worried about anyone thinking that I'm too old for plush toys?" Sunset asked, "Who cares what they think about it? The last time I have toys is back when I was Princess Celestia's special student, but I lost interest in my old toys when I began to focus more on magic. Speaking of which, I have new plush toys that remind me so much about you girls! Of our friendship!"
"Oh really? That sounds beautiful, darling," Rarity said.
"Sure it is," Sunset replied, digging out her toys from her bag, "Say hello to... Princess Twilight Sparkle!" She pulled out a plush toy of the Princess of Friendship.
Twilight had her jaw dropped, "Wait whaaaattt???"
Rainbow blinked her eyes, "Okay, now that is weird," Rainbow commented.
Sunset continued digging, "And here we have Rarity the lady!" She pulled a plush toy of Rarity's pony counterpart, "The element of Generosity!"
"Darling, when you said you have toys that reminded you of us, I never thought you literally mean it," Rarity said.
"And here is Applejack!" Sunset pulls out a pony version of Applejack, "The element of-" but the plush's hat falls off, Sunset stops and puts it back on its head, "The element of Honesty!" she continued, and she pulls out a pony Rainbow Dash plush toy, "Rainbow Dash! The element of loyalty!"
"It may be pretty weird but I look cool as a pony plush toy," Rainbow said.
"And here we have the Element of Kindness!" Sunset announced, showing them a plush toy of equestrian Fluttershy, "Fluttershy!" And then she pulls out the plush of the pony version of her pink friend, "And this the Element of Laughter, Pinkie Pie!" She announced. "But wait, there's one more," she grabs something in her bag again and pulls out a plush toy of herself in her old pony form, "Me." She let out a cheeky grin.
Fluttershy looked over the plush toy of her pony self, "I remember that I looked like this back during the spring," she recalled.
Pinkie grabs the plush toy of her pony self, "So tell me, pony me; is Sunset playing with you often?" she asked playfully, "Sadly, no, she hasn't," Pinkie dramatically gasps at Sunset, "You didn't play with them?! How could you?! That's it, you need some of that "Pinkie discipline"!" And she grabs Gummy, "And with a little help of Gummy of course." She playfully smirks at Sunset.
And then what happens next is that she tackles Sunset to the ground, and then used Gummy and the plush toy to tickle her. Sunset laughed like a child, begging Pinkie to stop but Pinkie continues. She giggles slightly as she continues to tickle Sunset.
"Wait! Pinkie, stop!" Sunset laughed, trying to resist but Pinkie just tickles her with the toys,
"Don't tell me to stop!" Pinkie laughed, "Tell these two to stop!"
"O-Okay!" Sunset now has tears in her eyes, she's getting tired but she's enjoying this, "Pinkie Pie! Gummy! Stop!"
"Only if you promised to play them next time," Pinkie mocked in Gummy's voice.
Sunset laughed even more but eventually, she gives up, "Okay! I Will! I promise! No, Pinkie promise!"
Pinkie stops and places the toys on the ground, Sunset was breathing heavily but still wears that big smile on her face. Even her tears of her laughter instantly become dry.
"Now that's what I want to hear," Pinkie said, "You Pinkie promise?"
Sunset nodded, "I Pinkie promise... mommy Pinkie," she giggles.
"I don't know if anyone saw that but did Pinkie's toy just moved by itself while she's tickling Sunset?" Twilight pointed out, feeling creeped out. She can't be wrong, right?
"Is better not to question more about Pinkie Pie," Rainbow told her, pretty annoyed.
Applejack yawned, "Anyway, ah don't want to ruin yer fun but we have to get some sleep for school tomorrow. Besides, we have to explain ourselves to Principal Celestia ever since the ball incident."
Rainbow scratched the back of her head, "Oh, yeah... that," she turned to Sunset, "Did we do a bad job protecting you?"
Sunset nodded, "Yes, Rainbow, you guys have," she pointed up, "Although, you did save me, so I'll give you that."
Rarity yawned as well, "Darlings, can we get some sleep now?" She asked tiredly.
So then, Fluttershy closed the lights just as the girls lay down in their sleeping bags. Sunset sleeps with Fluttershy in her own bed, while hugging the Princess Twilight Sparkle plush toy. Tomorrow's going to be a long day...
The next day at school, the Rainbooms went into Principal Celestia's office. They explained everything to her since the ball incident, and when they are done, Celestia looks, pretty much disappointed.
"So, let me get this straight," Principal Celestia recalled, pinching the bridge of her nose. Her sister, Vice Principal Luna stood beside her, her arms crossed, Celestia glared at the girls, "You girls went all the "motherly" act on Sunset, using extreme measures in keeping her safe from the Dazzlings who were always out for her for the knowledge to take over Sunset's homeworld, by having her attend school inside of a "hamster" ball and we all know how that turned out."
Twilight hesitantly answered, "Well, yes. It was meant to make sure she's completely safe."
Vice Principal Luna stepped in, "May I need to remind you Twilight Sparkle that Canterlot High School is a public School. And the word, "public" means that a criminal can't get away with crimes when there are witnesses. Also, here we have a lot of witnesses that will immediately report to us, especially if the Dazzlings come here and strike."
Twilight stops. She knew Luna have a point, and there's no arguing at that one.
"But we didn't think of that," Twilight said.
"You didn't think of how your actions can not only affect Sunset but others as well," Celestia pointed out very strictly. "I get you girls are willing to take responsibility for your actions but it doesn't change what happens to the ball incident a few days ago. While whatever you do outside of school is out of my jurisdiction, I find this "mom" act of yours is disturbing, so behavior like this can't be tolerated here in my school. I'd suggest you girls stop this mom act or at least tone it down or otherwise, someone will have the wrong idea about you girls. It's bad enough we have to deal with magic threats but now antics from all of you? Do I make myself clear?"
The Rainbooms nodded, knowing that she was right.
"Now," Celestia continued. "I heard complaints from your teachers and fellow classmates that you outright refused to remove that ball, and to be honest, I should've done something instead of just ignoring it in a span of one day. I'm very sorry."
Sunset nodded, "It's alright, Principal Celestia," she replied genuinely.
"But Principal Celestia, I covered for her," Rarity said.
"Yes, you did, and I appreciated it," Celestia replied. "But still, of you girls, minus Sunset, must still get punished."
"Why not her?" Rainbow gestured to Sunset.
"Well, you would be right," Celestia explained, "Sunset would still get punished despite shrugging off the fact how silly the ball was. But after realizing how you girls are responsible for putting her in that mess in the first place, I say she gets scoff free."
"Fair enough, but I should be the one who should be punish for not looking after her," Rainbow insisted.
Celestia nodded. "Yes, Dash, but you girls except Sunset will still have detention for a few weeks."
"A few weeks?" Applejack was surprised, "Ain't that a bit much?"
Sunset stepped in, "But Principal Celestia, with mommy Applejack, Twilight, Fluttershy, and others in detention, what am I going to do? Without mommy Rainbow Dash on the pitch, who's going to help us break Crystal Prep's Gem Formation and their Jewel Defense?"
"Did you just call your friends "moms"?" Celestia asked but then stopped herself from asking, getting tired of these childish antics from the girls, "If you really want your "moms" so much, I suggest you wait for them when exited that detention room. Does it sound easy to Sunset?"
But Sunset just sighs, crossing her arms like a little kid.
Hours later, the school day was over. But not over for the students when it comes to extracurricular after-school activities, and then the girls' detention time. In a few weeks, they'll spend two hours in the detention room, sure, the girls knew they brought this to themselves and two hours is worth the wait. But with her friends being in detention, Sunset got bored, especially its 2-hour detention. That's not helping either.
"I am so boooorreed...." Sunset whined, leaning against the wall, and slid down. She sits down and looks up at the ceiling, "Maybe if I count to 2 hours, then time will finally pass. This is genius! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...."
Almost a minute later
"57, 58, 59, 60...." she finished counting, and then she let out a whining moan, "This is hopeless!" she complained. "I am going nowhere with this!" She then realizes something, she pulls out her Princess Twilight plush toy from her satchel, "If Twilight and Fluttershy can smuggle their pets into school, then why can't I smuggle you guys here?"
"Maybe because toys were obviously not allowed in this school, Sunset," Sunset said in a mocking tone of Twilight's voice.
Sunset scoffed, "Please, Angel and Spike have been Twilight and Fluttershy's hands most of the time, especially during school," she pulls out the pony Fluttershy plush toy, "So tell me, Fluttershy, how do you excatly smuggle animals into school? Because I am likely to get caught even faster."
"Just keep them hidden until you went in a perfect spot in this school," Sunset said in Fluttershy's voice.
Sunset snapped her friends, "That's perfect! I should find that spot now! Although, let's hide you guys first before someone sees us, and that would be really awkward."
"Too late," a voice told her, she turned to her right to see Wallflower, "I've been watching you since you started counting. If you want privacy to play with your "toys" I suggest going to the janitor's room," Wallflower suggested.
"Oh cool!" Sunset said, she puts her toys back in her satchel and runs off, "Thanks, Wallflower!"
Sunset makes her to the janitor's room. She finally arrives and begins to turn the doorknob, it's locked.
"Aw, heck it's locked," Sunset said, and then she shrugged, "Oh, well, I'm sure there are more hiding spots. But I think it's better if we can get some fresh air first. Oh! We can practice to break Crystal Prep's Gem formation and break through their Jewel Defense," she pulls out her pony Rainbow Dash plush toy, "What do you say, Dash?"
"Heck yeah! Let's go!"
"Sweet!" Sunset exclaimed excitedly.
Sunset headed outside to the school's football field, she was holding pony Rainbow and Applejack plushies with both of her hands.
"I am keeping my eyes sharp as much as I could muster," Sunset said, looking around her surroundings, being wary as possible. "I don't want Adagio to come back here and start off another early kickoff."
She places her plushies on the bench, Sunset looked at them with a smile, "Now, watch me figure out how to stop Crystal Prep's doozy formations and their impenetrable defense."
She was on the pitch, she puts her foot on the ball, "Now, Crystal Prep's Gem formation is basically them shapeshift into random informations we can never figure it out, and their Gem defense is basically like a shape of a gem or something. Even if we can never figure it out, our last resort is my signature move; The Shimmer Spinner."
So, Sunset imagines herself being outnumbered by Crystal Prep players, so with that, she'll be able to get the action going. So Sunset kicks the ball to her front, heading towards the goal, and jumps over Indigo's slide tackle, she was immediately marked by Sugarcoat and Sunny Flare, but then Sunset immediately does her signature move; The Shimmer Spinner. Basically, Sunset spins up to maximum rate to the point that she looked like a raging tornado. So, Sunset breeze through the two imaginary midfielders.
She jumps high, avoiding Lemon Zest and Sour Sweet, while in mid-air, Sunset kicks the ball to the goal. She lands on her feet and celebrates.
"Woohoo!" Sunset cheered, running around the field. "Now that's what I'm talking about!" She turned to her plush toys, "What do you guys think?" But then again, toys don't talk, so Sunset takes that as a yes, "Thank you! But we still got a lot of hard work to do."
So in the next 20 minutes, Sunset continues working on her signature move and tried numerous strategies by herself to push through Crystal Prep's tough defense. Sunset used her imagination again, so she jumps over Indigo with style, she dashes her way to the goal, she moves left and right to avoid Lemon Zest and Sugarcoat's slide tackle, and used her Shimmer Spinner to breeze through Sunny Flare and Sour Sweet. To make things more fun for herself, she added ninjas, dinosaurs, alien UFOs, cannons, zombies, and most of all, the past villains she and her friends beat in the past. Now she's gonna beat them all!
So Sunset moves quickly, avoiding Indigo and Sunny Flare's slide tackle. Ninjas were zooming in, but Sunset avoid them with sharp and fast turns, she carries the ball with her feet and flips backward avoiding the shots from the cannons, she uses her signature move to breeze through the zombies and avoids the UFO's beam thingy to prevent from being "abducted" by aliens. She slides tackles underneath the dinosaurs. Now, is the past villains, she shoots the ball to Post Crush's time twirler and speeds up quickly to get the ball back to her feet. She rapidly turns left and right to avoid the Storm King's lightning attacks, she slides on the ground to avoid Vignette's phone flash and Wallflower's memory stone beam, she jumps even higher to dodge Juniper Montage's magic mirror attack. She lands on her feet and keeps moving, she zooms through and miraculously passed Gloriosa's monster form, Midnight Sparkle moves upfront to her but Sunset kicks the ball high, she jumps, and went upside down, catches the ball with her feet and lands with her hands and did a front flip. She uses her awesome tornado move again to bypass the Dazzling's monstrous forms.
Sunset stops in mid-action to see who's guarding the goal, her old self. The She-Demon. However, though, all of this was just all of Sunset's imagination, so she smirked and kicks the ball as hard as she can. In her imagination, the ball flew like a bazooka and it blew the daylights out of her demon self just as the ball hits at the back of the net.
Sunset cheered loudly than she could ever cheer, and then she instantly went all fatigue, "Okay, okay," Sunset panted, "Now I need a break."
Sunset sits back to the bench where her plush toys are waiting, she grabs pony Rarity and Pinkie Pie plushies from her satchel.
"Yep, you two saw that," Sunset said to Rainbow and Applejack plushies, "That was epic!" She turned to the Rarity and Pinkie Pie plushes, "You girls should've seen that but don't worry, I got more tricks up in my sleeves," she let out a long sigh, "I never used my crazy imaginations, not ever since when I was a filly, back when I was with Princess Celestia."
She also brings out Princess Twilight and Fluttershy plushies, "When I said you guys reminded me of my actual friends, I mean literally. It may be pretty weird to have plush toys that look exactly like your friends' pony counterparts, but who cares if people think it's weird? It's too bad when my actual friends were in the detention, and I'm out here waiting for them without anything to do. How about it would be more fun if we see something good inside the school? Let's head on over there."
She puts her toys back in her satchel and quickly makes her way back inside the school, "Let's make this quick or the Dazzlings might possibly be watching and I'll be doomed."
Inside the art room, Sunset placed down the Pinkie Pie plush toy on the chair.
"I am the best artist in this school, I might have been accepted into art college," Sunset said, holding the paint and a paintbrush, "but I believe there are more options," she focused on her work. "Now what should I paint?" And then a lightbulb turns on, "I got it!"
She then paints a portrait of Pinkie's pony counterpart pretty quickly, it was neatly detailed and perfect as well. She showed it to the Pinkie plush toy. "So what do you think?" Again, toys don't talk but Sunset still takes that as a yes, even though she knew her paintings were always perfect. "Now, let's make some more."
So, in the next minutes, Sunset draws each portrait of her friends in their pony counterparts, and for the last, it's going to be perfect. So Sunset brings out the rest of her plush toys puts them beside the Pinkie plushie, and then begins her last work.
After a while, she's done and steps aside to show them her work, "And here it is! My specialty!" She announced.
The last portrait was Sunset Shimmer and her friends, sitting together on a grassy field, holding each of the plushies of their equestrian counterparts.
"The thing with the plushies of my friends' pony versions may be weird but c'mon, you see this, this, this is beautiful!" Sunset said.
And if we look around her, she's made a little mess on half of the room, "Okay, I admit, I've been making a little bit of mess but no big, I clean this up. I just have to put all my hard work aside and I'll start cleaning."
After she does that, Sunset spent most of her time cleaning up the mess she made in the art room, after a while, she wipes her sweat off her forehead and was satisfied with her job.
"Now, that was done, let's go to the library!" Sunset announced, she picks up her plushies put them back in her satchel, and left the room.
Inside the library, most of her schoolmates were spending their time reading, Sunset was at the far back of the library, sitting in the chair, with 3 books and the Princess Twilight plushie on the table. She opens the first book and it's a math book.
"So, tell me, Twilight, what was actually the answer to 9+10?" And she grabs the plush toy, "19," Sunset playfully scoffed, "It's not 19 you goofball, it's 21."
"No, Sunset, the correct is 19."
"Or not," Sunset retorted to the plushie.
"Or to."
"Or not."
"Or to."
"Or not." Sunset continued but stops, "Okay, then, how about you let me prove it to you?"
Sunset grabs one sheet of bond paper and begins writing 9+10 and then they wrote the answer; 21 and showed it to plushie Twilight. "How about this? This is correct, right?"
"Hhmm, nah, still wrong."
"Oh c'mon!" Sunset exaggerated, "I just showed you, this is the correct answer!"
"Miss Shimmer," upon hearing Mrs. Cherilee's voice, Sunset panicked and hide her toy underneath the table. She turned around to face the stern teacher, "I do hope you knew this is a library, not a place to make such a fuss."
Mrs. Cherilee just glared at her, she has her suspicions but she decided not to push further, "Okay, just keep it down will you?"
Sunset nodded, "Sure, but anyways, I have to get going!" Sunset quickly runs away, leaving the teacher in the dust.
"It's wartime!" Sunset announced loudly.
She's in the school gym, she has set up small barricades from the left and right side of the gym, her plush toy, pony Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Rarity, and her pony self were at the left barricade while the pony Princess Twilight, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy were at the right. Sunset positioned herself on the right.
"It's time to fight!" Sunset shouted, throwing a small baseball to the opposite side, and it directly hit her own plush pony self. "That's one down!"
She rushed to the other side and throws it all the way back, and it hits Fluttershy, "Oof! That hurts a lot but they're gonna get their vengeance soon enough!"
Sunset runs back to her original position and throws the ball to Rarity, and she runs back there, "The laydee is down! I repeat, the laydee is down! Time for payback!" She picks up the ball and throws it, and it hits Pinkie Pie. And she runs back there again, "We are losing, Princess! Failure it's not an option, we must," she held out two baseballs while wearing a playful grin on her face, "improvised."
She throws two balls at the opposite side but it didn't hit them. Sunset growled and then throws another pair of baseballs and one of them hits, Applejack. And the last plush toy is Rainbow Dash, Sunset playfully grins and throws directly at the toy. And it fell off the barricade and lay down along with the rest of the plushies.
"We won!" Sunset cheered and grabs Princess Twilight plushie, "We did it, Princess! I told yah that we can win this battle to the death by improvising!" She continues celebrating until she notices the volleyball team, Octavio, Lyra, Bon Bon, and Derpy watching her, awkwardly, Sunset's cheer died down, and quickly grabs her stuff and moves out, leaving the team dumbfounded.
Sunset ran as fast as she could until she gets tired, she stop for a moment to catch a breather.
"They can't see the whole thing, right?" Sunset asked herself, feeling a bit anxious to see her in the act. "Great," she groaned, "I should've followed Wallflower's suggestion had not that janitor room been locked. But... Fluttershy said I should hide them until I found a perfect place in this school," she turned to her left to see a classroom, and the door was unlocked. Sunset smirked playfully. "Perfect...."
"Finally, after two hours in detention, ah can't wait to check up on Sunset," Applejack said as she and her friends walked through the hallways.
"Twilight, darling, are you sure you confirmed that Sunset was still here?" Rarity asked her friend, pretty skeptical.
"I pinpoint the location of her phone," Twilight replied, showing her the location on her cellphone. "See? The location is somewhere around this school, so that means Sunset is still here."
"Unless those Dazzlings somehow sneak their way in here, kidnapped her again, and left her phone around in this school just in case if they're being traced," Rainbow speculated.
"I don't want to think about it," Twilight said, "But that might be a possibility. Let's just go to this location just to be sure."
As they get closer, Twilight's phone beeps like crazy just as they're getting close to the supposed location. But before they can check anywhere, they crossed paths with Principal Celestia.
"Oh, girls," Celestia said, "I am pretty sure your detention is over for the day, correct?"
Rarity nodded, "Certainly, Principal Celestia," Rarity answered, "And we are looking for Sunset."
Celestia's face grew strict, "Oh, yes, recently, I've been receiving reports that your friend, Sunset Shimmer is reported to go around the school holding seemingly, what, plushies that looked oddly like all of you girls in some way." And then they heard laughter inside a classroom, Celestia turns her right to the door, "And I think we found her."
Celestia opens the door and she and the girls couldn't believe what she was, they say is that all of the chairs were built together as some sort of fort, Sunset was inside of it, playing with her plushies. However, her fun is over when she sees Principal Celestia and her friends catch her in the act. Sunset's smile faded and her cheeks turned red with embarrassment.
Celestia groans in annoyance and facepalms, "The last time that I had to tolerate such childish behavior is Pinkie Pie. And now Sunset?"
Rainbow Dash just snickered.
Sunset enters a classroom the next day, and her friends are waiting for her.
"Finally, glad to see you, joining us in this detention," Rainbow remarked.
"Oh shut up, Rainbow Dash," Sunset replied, sitting in between Twilight and Applejack.
"So Sunset," Twilight started, "Earlier Principal Celestia wants to have a word with you, alone. What did she say?"
Sunset then explained, "Well, she told me that my punishment is to join you girls in a few weeks detention. It sucks."
Pinkie Pie pops up behind her, "It may suck, but at least we're all together! And you were never captured!"
Sunset chuckled, "You're right, oh! Speaking of which," she digs into her satchel and brings her plushies, "Principal Celestia even let me take my plushies with me in school for detention. You know, since we can all play together."
"Well, that was a small win at least," Fluttershy said.
"But I still find it pretty weird when you have plushies that looked oddly like us in Equestria," Rainbow commented, but then she shrugged it off. "But whatever, give me me," Sunset tosses Rainbow Dash plush toy to her, "Why, hello there little buddy."
"I know what we should do!" Sunset suggested excitedly, "Let's use these chairs and build us a fort!"
Sunset runs through the midfield, she was wearing her CHS football team uniform. Just as she runs to the half of the pitch, the weather suddenly becomes snowy and the ground becomes icy and slippery. Sunset looked around her surroundings and see that she was in a middle of snowy nowhere and a strong snowstorm as well.
However, Sunset smirks. She kicks the ball forward, fighting through the snowstorm like it was nothing. She jumps over the icy holes and just as she made it back to the snowy ground, she stopped dead to her feet when a big snowy monster summons before her eyes. And that thing was breathing fire. Sunset immediately performs her Shimmer Spinner and she spins like a snowy tornado, the flames burst right at her but Sunset's maximum spin just deflected that, and then Sunset now kicks the ball hard at the monster, with the ball taking the lead of his own flames. Talk about a taste of your own medicine.
The monster hits the ball just as the ball hits at the back of the net, and we're instantly shifting back to reality where Sunset was cheering on the CHS football field.
"That's what I'm talking about Shimmer!" Rainbow cheered while towards her.
They both run to each other and give High 5s. Ever since Sunset joined the team, CHS was unstoppable in every game. Well, that was until Sunset's injury from her fail slide tackle attempt against Indigo in their last game.
"Man, oh man, practicing with your best mom is gonna be perfect," Rainbow said, "We're gonna owned Crystal Prep. They owned us once and it resulted in your injury, we'll own them back."
Sunset playfully giggled, "Yep, but sorry mommy Dashie but you're my 3rd favorite."
"What?! Third?!" Rainbow cried out in shock, "Who's the first and second and how can they be so good than me?!"
"Well the 2nd is mommy Pinkie," Sunset answered, "She always gives me desserts, candies, and cake."
Rainbow groaned, It has been a few days since Sunset joined them in their detention, Sunset was supposed to eat her brain food, and now Pinkie has been feeding her with treats.
"Maybe me and the girls shoulda treat her like a kid too and get her to eat healthier," Rainbow suggested.
"It's Pinkie being Pinkie," Sunset reminded her, "And my number 1 favorite is Fluttershy, because of her soft kindness. Besides, yesterday, I offered to help her with the animals in her workplace and she even allowed me to pet kitties, puppies, and bunnies!"
Rainbow chuckled, "Oh, alright, I see. But when we win this one, I'm going to top them out as number 1, your best mom!"
"I'd like to see you try!" Sunset said.
"Hey, you're in on this, too," Rainbow told her.
Just then, Principal Celestia, (as their team coach) blows her whistle, getting the girl's attention, "Girls," she warned them sternly. "I thought I told you such behavior like this can no longer be tolerated in my school."
"Uh, no we're not!" Rainbow quickly answered back, "We're just.... stretching!" She and Sunset immediately stretch.
Celestia is not convinced but she sighs, hoping they keep their focus on their game against their arch-rivals, "Okay, then," she said unconvinced, "But I am kind enough to give both of you a warning. You two better not be embarrassed yourselves out there."
"Of course not, Principal Celestia," Sunset agreed, "let's get some practice!"
Celestia turns her head to the rest of the team approaching them, "Come on, team. It's already time for practice."
"Principal Celestia," Spitfire begins to complain, "Why does Sunset Shimmer gets the "special" treatment from our captain and her friends and we don't?"
"It's best not to question that, Spitfire," Celestia replied, turning back to the two girls who were briefly playing rock, papers, scissors, however, they instantly went back to stretching. "It's their thing..."
"Yeah," Lightning Dust said, feeling creeped out, "It's pretty weird that 7 of our schoolmates were acting weird over one of their own's safety, the 6 of them were acting like moms while the last one is being treated like a child and acting like one."
Yep, since the hamster ball incident and Sunset's "shenanigans" a few days ago, it's no longer a secret to the school now they know what their weird behavior was all about. However, Sunset and her friends tone it down, and their unusual behavior only happens on rare occasions, so behaviors like this from the girls were not that common to happen. Well, not at least.
"Hey, how can that be weird?" Sunset asked, she and Rainbow approaching, "Look, Bulk Biceps may look strong and muscular, but he's actually good ol' goofball. That's pretty cute. And we have lesbian schoolmates and they were an item," she was referring to Lyra and Bon Bon, "And we have Trixie who is known to be, "Great and Powerful," and lastly, all of you have 7 schoolmates with awesome superpowers and saved the world many times."
"And your point is?" Spitfire challenged, getting annoyed at not getting straight to the point.
"The point is," Sunset begins, "There's absolutely nothing wrong with 6 of my friends going all "mom" on me and I responded back by acting like a child. I mean, sure, Pinkie Pie is childish but she seems to take the motherly role more fairly."
"Too fairly," Rainbow retorted.
"Alright, that's enough, I don't want to have this talk anymore," Celestia interrupted them. "We got a game to prepare. And I need all of you in top form for the return leg against Crystal Prep. Now. Go!" She blows her whistle.
The midfielder starts the kick-off, she kicks the ball to Spitfire, a defender was about to steal the ball from her but Spitfire kicks the ball up with her knee, leaps, and headers the ball to Lightning Dust, she jumps over the defender's slide tackle and she kicks it to Rainbow Dash. She dribbles the ball past the third defender and kicks it to Sunset.
"All yours, sweetie," Rainbow told her.
Now that the ball is all hers, Sunset looked confidently at the last defender, guarding the goalie, however, Sunset's mind was elsewhere and in her head, she's imagining all of her surroundings into seemingly a warzone between The Avengers and Thanos.
Sunset smirks, she kicks the ball forward, but before the defender does something, Sunset kicks the ball high, passing to herself. She slides down uses her Shimmer Spinner and takes quick turns. Principal Celestia was flabbergasted by Sunset's "tactic", Sunset stopped spinning and kicks the ball high again, but this time, she flips over, catching the ball with her feet and landed on her hands and do an upside-down Shimmer Spinner, and then after spinning upside down, Sunset kicks the ball with her feet. The goalie fails to react to that.
Sunset lands back on her feet just as Rainbow Dash runs to her, "Yeah, now that's more like it!" Rainbow cheered, "Keep practicing like that, you'll be even more prepared just like the rest of us!"
Principal Celestia walks over to them, "Yes but may I have word with you, Sunset?" That strict tone in her voice made Sunset obey her immediately.
"Sure, what's wrong?"
Celestia sighs as she begins to explain, "Look, Sunset, it's bad enough on the pitch that you have to keep using your "Shimmer Spinner" in every game."
"Why do you always have to worry about that?" Sunset asked, "I already told you, it's called skills. And it's perfectly safe."
"And you have to move around the ball like you're in some crazy, over-the-top action movie," Celestia added, her eyes hardened, "You'll make yourself a fool out there. People will think you're crazy and Principal Cinch will report that to the School Board and we all will be in hot water."
Sunset sighs in disappointment, knowing that her principal is right. However, being the soon-to-be 1st favorite mom, Rainbow Dash steps In, "But Principal Celestia, Sunset is just going to give them a little show and she shoots. And besides, you can't tell her she should stop using her signature move, we need it to break Crystal Prep's doozy attack pattern."
Celestia pinches the bridge of her nose, and then she said, "Okay, but please don't act like there are invisible obstacles in your way, Sunset," she advised her, just then her phone rings, "Hello? What?! Okay, I'll be right there!" She hung up, "Okay, girls, there's a situation in the cafeteria and I must see what's going on," she turns to Rainbow, "Rainbow Dash, can I trust you to train your team to be ready?"
"Sure," Rainbow nodded, "You can count on me."
"Good," Celestia nodded back and she runs back into the school.
Just as the Principal, Rainbow turns her eyes to Sunset, who seems a little sad, she puts her hand on her shoulder for comfort, "Hey, don't worry about what Principal Celestia said. Once you got the ball and plenty of room to score, you put on a little show to the crowd. I'll be right behind you," She grinned even wider, "Come on, who's my favorite Striker?"
That playful tone turns Sunset's frown upside down, she stared back at her captain with a playful grin, Rainbow was satisfied, "Now that's what I want to see. A smile, from you, sweetie."
Sunset playfully chuckles, "And you motivated me enough to not lose, the one thing I hate in my life, that's why you're one of my top 3 favorite moms, mommy Rainbow Dash," Sunset said playfully.
The girls can't help but they both hugged. Their teammates on the other hand, while they find their "mom and child" act pretty weird and disturbing, that moment was touching at the same time.
"Ahh!" Sunset sighs in refreshing, upon laying back on her own bed again, "How I miss this bed!" She sits up, her friends below were setting their sleeping bags, "My house! And everything in this place! It feels so good to be back in the place I called home!"
"Ah'm glad that Sunset is back home here," Applejack said, "We may have taken her each of our houses for our previous sleepovers but ah bet it's time we have another here in Sunset's place."
"And I also added my super motion sensor just to be sure the Dazzlings can't get her," Twilight added, placing her sleeping back on the ground.
"Plus, it should help Sunset to be motivated enough to get our strength back for our game against Crystal Prep tomorrow," Rainbow said.
"I bet you all be surprised if you see this!" Sunset announced, she's sending a few photos and vids to her about her some of her tricks and moments.
One video shows Sunset kicking the ball high in the sky, and then an arrow, (shot from Lyra) flew over and the ball hits the arrow.
"Wow!" Applejack exclaimed, "That's some impressive shootin' right there!"
"Yeah," Sunset agreed, and then she immediately cried out, "But it took me 57 shots until I got it right!"
Another one shows Sunset... surfing? And what's more shocking, she's once again in the hamster ball. And Rainbow's voice can be heard in the background whilst Sunset in the ball was surfing on camera. "See, Sunset? What did I tell you? Too far forward and you'll miss the tubing, and too far back and you're in the soup! Always stay ahead, but if you're in the hamster ball, fall back and launch from the water like a rocket!"
All eyes were on Rainbow Dash, "You took Sunset to surf yesterday?!" Twilight scolded the rainbow-haired girl.
"And while she's in the ball again?" AJ added, crossing her arms.
"What?!" Rainbow retorted, and then soon realized she messed up, "Okay, look! I learned my lesson from the ball incident, but when Sunset and I were at the beach, I can't pass up the opportunity to teach her how to surf. While at the same time, I knew it was dangerous for starters. So... I dash back to Twilight's house, grab the hamster ball and back, Sunset was nailing at the waves in that thing," she gazes up to Sunset, "But that hamster ball is just making it too easy for you, so I consider it as your baby steps. The next time we're on the beach, you'll be riding on a real surfboard. Got it, sweetie?"
Sunset beamed up, "Got it!"
"But did she gets into danger?" Fluttershy asked her warily.
"She's in safe hands with me, and us," Rainbow answered confidently, "I did my best, I did not make the same mistake I made almost a week ago, and I made sure that Adagio was not around and settle Sunset for another early kickoff."
"Ah'll give Adagio an early kickoff if ah get a hold of her," Applejack declared.
"And besides," Sunset chimed in, "It's just as soft as Twilight's" but she immediately stopped and then continued, "Rarity's! Rarity's breasts!"
Rarity gasps, Rainbow Dash bursts out laughing, "She got ya, Rarity!"
Rarity maintains her composure, "Sunset, sweetie, I think you got the wrong idea," Rarity denied, "My tits can't be that big."
"Yes, they are," AJ countered, "Don't call me a liar when ah'm telling the truth. They're pretty big."
"But seriously, mommy Twilight," Sunset said, "You need yours to be bigger, soft, and better than mommy Rarity's."
Twilight's face turns red just as Rainbow laughs even harder, "That's enough, young lady!" Twilight puts her foot down, "No more breasts jokes! It's bad enough when," she turns to Rainbow Dash, "you talked Sunset into surfing with you while she's in the Super Sphere 2.0. From now on, no one goes into my house! And the only person who comes up with inventions to keep Sunset's safe or for her happiness, me! And only me! We can still have sleepovers in my house but no more stealing from me!"
Rainbow waves her hands in defense, "Okay, okay, jeez," Rainbow replied, "I won't steal anything from you."
"And mommy Twilight," Sunset requested, "If you put it that way, can you build me a toy car? You girls never let me drive on my own anymore ever since the Dazzlings' 55th attempt to kidnap me."
"I would but it takes me a lot of time and it could cost me a lot of money to get all the parts I need," Twilight said, she's not going to give in Sunset's puppy dog eyes, "No, I am not Phineas or Ferb who can build insane projects every day in the span of an hour."
Sunset places her hands on her hips, "And if you don't want to keep me waiting and constantly nagging you, can I have my actually car back that you have your brother to store it in the impound garage for way too long?"
Twilight thought about it for a moment, "I'll do it now but since the rain, just storms in," Outside a thunderstorm just started, "And there's a big chance we'll lose wifi network for the rest of the night."
Pinkie, Rainbow, and Sunset gasp at the revelation, "No wifi for tonight?!" Rainbow cried out.
"And I can't get my car back?!" Sunset exclaimed.
"Fret not darlings," Rarity intervened, she digs into her bag, "I got something that should be immune to the effects. Just almost there...." She continues searching until she grabs it, she pulls it out, revealing a very old 70s analog phone, "Tada!"
The girls just blink at her a few times, until they all laugh out loud together. Rarity just stared back at them, annoyed.
"What? It can't be that old," Rarity objected, she also let out a fax machine, "It also attaches to the fax machine and everything else." She attaches it to the machine and it does its thing, this caused the girls to laugh even harder.
"Oh, man!" Rainbow laughed her throat it, "I never thought Rares tries taking old school to the new school!"
Sunset laughed so hard than Pinkie usually does, "At least it helps brighten our mood when we're not gonna have wifi receptions for the whole night!"
"Sunset, sweetie, I will not call Twilight's brother to tell him to give you back your car if you don't stop laughing, young lady!" Rarity threatened her.
But Sunset can't stop laughing, "But I can't! She laughed, even more, she taps Pinkie and Rainbow's shoulder, "Hey, guys, let's stop laughing or I'll never get my car back!"
Rainbow wipes her tears of laughter, "Okay! Guys, let's stop laughing now or Sunset here will never get her precious car back!"
After a few hours later, the girls got themselves settled; they stopped laughing, Twilight used Rarity's phone and called Shining Armor to return Sunset's car back, and then, they got some food, and after a while of resting, it was time to go to bed. Twilight sleeps next to Sunset in her bed, Rainbow just stared at them, thinking to herself, If we beat Crystal Prep tomorrow, then I'll be your new number 1 mom.
The next day
"Matchday at Crystal Prep," Fluttershy announced, "It was Crystal Prep vs. Canterlot High School. Can Sunset Shimmer makes the difference since their previous or can this game be less harmful?"
The ref blows his whistle, thus starting the game. Lightning kicks the ball, she nutmegs past Indigo and passes the ball to Spitfire on the left, she crosses high, Rainbow has her eyes on the ball but Sour Sweet headers it away to Sugarcoat.
"But Rainbow lost the chance," Fluttershy said, "And it's all thanks to their Jewel Defense."
Sour Sweet, Sunny Flare and Fleur De Lis were positioned in somewhat of a triangle form, however, Rarity, who's the audience along with her friends and her fellow CHS schoolmates can easily tell what that is.
"Wow, darlings, their defense looked like the shape of a Trillion," Rarity analyzed.
"No couching, Rarity," AJ told her.
What happens next is that Crystal Prep begins their Gem formation! They shapeshift into different kinds of formations that only Rarity can tell that their formations were based on the shapes of the jewels, gems, and stones. The CHS team was struggling to keep up with them, maybe they should've studied what their formations were about.
Lightning Dust struggled to catch up just as Indigo made a sudden pass to Lemon Zest on the right, "Where did all these formations come from?!"
With their defense scattered, leaving a lot of room for Crystal Prep, Indigo has her yes on goal. But just as she takes the shot, Sunset Shimmer breeze through with her spectacular move, The Shimmer Spinner! She steals the ball from Indigo.
"What an amazing tackle from Sunset!" Fluttershy exclaims over the microphone, and then she sighs in relief.
Minutes later, It's Sunset vs the world now. Every time Crystal Prep forms their Gem formation, Sunset anticipates any of their passes, her Shimmer Spinner was way more unpredictable than their Gem formation. Cinch stares at Celestia, giving her the "What did you teach her" kind of look, Celestia just sheepishly shrugs.
88 minutes later, the scores were still nothing. Both teams huddle up together to plan their next move for the last minutes of the game.
"Good job, Sunset," Rainbow said gratefully, although, she becomes concerned when Sunset was sweating and she was panting hard. "You okay, sweetie?"
Sunset continues panting, "I'll be fine..."
"So what's the plan, captain?" Lightning Dust asked her.
"All we have to do is hold the possession for a bit, and we'll let Sunset do the finishing," Rainbow strategized.
"Are you sure?" A defender asked her, "Because your "favorite" striker is out of breath and Principal Celestia will have to sub her."
"No," Rainbow shook her head, "Sunset will not be on the bench for the dying minutes of the game, because I got a plan." She separates herself from the group and eyes her friends on the audience, waving her friends to get their attention, "PINKIE! NOW!"
"You got it!" Pinkie responded, she grabs something from her hair and pulls a cup of milkshake, she throws it all the way to Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash comes back with the milkshake, "Drink this, Sunset," Rainbow handed her the milkshake.
Sunset in surprise drinks the whole cup, and then her eyelids turn into an image of a milkshake, her energy was instantly back to full strength and her sweat just vanished.
"With either team closing each other in and out, this game might be settled for a penalty!" Fluttershy announced.
CHS team managed to keep their possession on the ball so far, Rainbow jumps over Lemon Zest's slide tackle and passes high to Sunset. Sunset catches the pass and it was now her and the Jewel Defense.
"What she's going to do people?" Sunset asked, "She's turned her world upside down!" She kicks the ball above her, and she went upside down, catches the ball with her feet, and begins to spin with her hands, performing the upside-down version of her Shimmer Spinner. The defenders don't have an answer to this, all they could do now is to not get kicked in the face. Well, not that Sunset intended to do. Sunset breeze through the impenetrable defense, now that she has broken through, Sunset lands back on her feet but stops.
In front of her, instead of Frosty Orange as the goalie, she was replaced by her She-Demon form, adding with stormtroopers from Star Wars, attack helicopters, she looked behind to see that Ninjas were behind her as well, and the weather becomes a snowstorm. So Sunset kicks the ball, she was immediately surrounded by ninjas but Sunset moves fast and uses her Shimmer Spinner and runs circles around the ninjas until they passed out. She moves fast as the stormtroopers shoot their laser guns at her, but Sunset made sharp turns to avoid the "lasers" she zooms past them, leaving the troops in the dust. Sunset looks up to see the attack helicopter was about to shoot at her with Gatling guns and rockets, but Sunset immediately kicks the ball to the "helicopter" and it "blew up" Sunset goes even faster and gets the ball back. But she stops in the box when it's just her and her old She-Demon form, protecting the goal.
Sunset smirked, "Eat this, She-Demon!"
Sunset performs her Shimmer Spinner once more, spinning even faster up to maximum rate. Her spin is creating some big wind that everyone in the pitch can feel it. And then, after 5 seconds, Sunset unleashes a mega shot.
"Unbelievable...." Cinch mumbled, not believing what she was seeing.
"Awesome..." Rainbow muttered.
"Unstoppable!" Fluttershy cheered.
In Sunset's head, the ball shapeshift into a Magic of Friendship beam and it blew the daylights out of her old demon form just as the ball hits the back of the net, and it broke through the goal net. Frosty Orange never has time to react to that.
"What an unbelievable goal from Sunset Shimmer!" Fluttershy cheered happily.
All of the CHS students and her friends cheered loudly just as the visitor team carries Sunset to celebrate. They carried her to make her look like some kind of superhero with a cape.
"You're awesome, Sunset!" Rainbow cheered.
"Yeah!" Lightning Dust added, "Look who's back from the dead!"
The girls carried her all the way back to the locker room while Sunset herself makes herself like a superhero.
They're gone! Wait, what's this? Ooh! A treasure map!
"Yer, okay, sweetie?" She heard Applejack's voice pretty close to her, too close. Sunset instantly realized she was sleeping on Applejack.
She gazes up to see Applejack gazing down at her, embracing her in a comfortable position. Sunset's head was laying on Applejack's chest.
"You have a nightmare again, sugarcube," Applejack told her.
"Oh..." Sunset muttered, feeling a little bad, Applejack can tell that.
"Yah want to talk about it?" She asked her sincerely.
But Sunset shook her head, "No... I don't want to..." Sunset replied silently.
Applejack sighs, being the Element of Honesty, she always tells the truth and she needs to hear the truth from others. But she knew better than to push Sunset even further to tell it to her if she's uncomfortable. But then, she has a bright idea.
So Applejack's concern turns into a warm smile, "Yah know what will make ya feel better? Eating brain food for breakfast," the door creaked open, Applejack's smile turns into an annoyed look, knowing who exactly entered her bedroom and why is that person here, "And for the last time, no, Apple Bloom," The youngest apple member's face turns from a bright hopeful smile to one of stubborn look, "no more of that Chicken and Rice of yours. It only makes Sunset's nightmares even worse the next time she goes to sleep!"
"Now come on, Sunset, get up," Applejack said as Sunset slowly sit up, "Let's get us ready for breakfast.
So the two head down to the dining room where the rest of the Apple Family are waiting, breakfast was almost ready. Both Sunset and Applejack sit next to each other while Apple Bloom and Big Mac sit over the other side of the table, Granny Smith was almost making breakfast.
"Granny Smith, can Sunset here have some brain food so she won't have nightmares again?" Applejack requested.
"Sure thing mah little seed," Granny Smith replied, "Actually, it's just about done."
After that, Granny placed down a plate full of eggs and vegetables for breakfast. This is the perfect brain food for Sunset! Just as Sunset was about to eat her breakfast, the same goes for the others, Applejack takes an extra spoon, scoops some of the food, and reaches Sunset, knowing what Applejack was going to do, Sunset gets embarrassed and tries to get her to stop.
"Applejack, I can eat on my ow-" But Sunset didn't finish her sentence when Applejack shove the spoonful into her mouth, not wanting to choke, Sunset just chews it and swallows.
"Delicious, ain't it?" Applejack asked her.
Sunset nodded, "Yes, it really is delicious. But again, I can eat-" but another spoonful was shoved into her mouth.
"No talking while eating," Applejack told her.
"How long are yah and the girls gonna keep babying her, Applejack?" Apple Bloom asked her.
"It's not babying," Applejack denied, mentally cursing herself for lying, "Okay, yes, it is but we're doing this to protect her until we deemed she's safe to be on her own again. Ah was just making sure she eats her brain food today."
Apple Bloom is starting to feel creeped out. "Yeaaahhh... but it's still pretty weird to see yah babying yer friend who's just around yer age," she turns to her big brother, "Don't yah think, Big Mac?"
"Eeyup," Big Mac agreed.
"Thankfully, ah ain't never seen the problem," Granny Smith said, "But Applejack, it's best if yah let Sunset on her own."
Applejack nodded, "Yes, Granny Smith."
After they finished their breakfast, they washed up in the shower and got dressed. They exit the farm and what surprised Sunset the most is the very familiar car on the driveway!
"My car!" Sunset exclaimed in surprise as she runs up to hide and tries to "hug" its hood. Rubbing it with her hands, "I miss this bad boy!"
AJ chuckled, "Yer sure do. Now come on, let's get in."
They enter the car with Sunset in the driving seat. And then they both noticed a letter on the steering wheel, Sunset picks it up and reads; You can have your car back. But the condition is to let any of us ride with you if you want to go to someplace. Love Twilight Sparkle.
"That seems fair," Sunset agreed, placing the letter in her skirt pockets, "Why don't we go to my place? I need to get my plushies if we need to play with them for detention later."
"Sure, let's get there, quick," Applejack said.
So Sunset starts up the car and drives back of the driveway, she makes her way back to her house. It was a 10-minute drive but they made it back to Sunset's place. Sunset's pet Gecko was doing fine back in Fluttershy's workplace, but she'll get him back soon.
So Sunset pulls up and exits the car and Applejack were telling her, "Hurry up, sweetie. The Dazzlings might be watching and we'll be likely to be followed."
"I'll be quick!" Sunset said, rushing into the house.
After a little bit, Sunset was screaming. Way too loud from the inside that the whole neighborhood can hear that. Applejack immediately rushes into the house, and she climbs upstairs to Sunset's bed to see Sunset lying on her bed, crying.
"Sweetie!" Applejack cried out, sitting next to her, and picks her up to get her head resting on Applejack's chest, she holds Sunset tight, rocking her back and forth while trying to comfort her. "It's okay, sweetie, I'm right here. Now shhh..."
Sunset continued sobbing, "They're gone, mommy Applejack!" Sunset choked out her words, "My plushies! All of them! Gone!"
"Gone?" Applejack replied in shock. How can they be gone? Twilight's super motion sensor should've detected trespassers and the girls should be notified by that! Unless...
Sunset stopped crying and sits up straight, she wipes her tears as well, "We have to find them," she declared. And she then notices a note on the ground, her tears suddenly evaporate, "Oh look! A note!"
Applejack glances below to see the note, she picks it up and reads it loudly with Sunset listening closely to her; Dear Shimmer, we got your precious plushies. We disabled your motion sensor, if you want them back, make sure you follow this treasure map. Don't worry, it's not that far, but you have until today you uncover this treasure. xoxo A.
"A?" Sunset asked, "Who's name begins with A?"
AJ shook her head, "Ah dunno, sweetie, but whoever this person is, try to make a sick game for yer. And that treasure map, where is it?"
Sunset, without thinking, pulls a treasure map out of her hair. (Wait, she can stash items in her hair like Pinkie does?! Is someone gonna make her pay Pinkie Pie copyrights?) and gives it to AJ, the apple farmer opens the map.
"Wait, that's in CHS," AJ said, she and Sunset were taking a closer look at the map and yes, it's indeed in CHS.
"We need to recruit the others," Sunset suggested.
"So is this the treasure map that should lead us to Sunset's toys?" Twilight clarified, holding the map. Both Sunset and Applejack nodded, the girls were gathered together in the band room.
"And the treasure is in this school?" Rainbow added, raising her left eyebrow.
"Pretty much," Applejack confirmed, "Whoever this person is, is not only he or she makes a sick game on Sunset but also broke into this school last night just to set up this treasure hunt."
The thought of her missing toys makes Sunset sighs in sadness and sit down, leaning her back against the wall. She's so sad that the girls never saw Sunset being this sad.... since, the Fall Formal.
Pinkie went out of her way to give her a hug. "Aww, don't be sad, Sunset. We'll find them. Pinkie Promise!"
"We're just going to follow this treasure," Twilight suggests. "Or we can just not waste our time with this wild goose chase and ask Principal Celestia for security footage."
"That sounds like a plan," Rainbow agreed.
"Sweet! Let's go, Sunset!" Pinkie was about to help Sunset up the poor girl was just heavy to stand up, and too depressed to even move. "Sunset, come on!" Pinkie tries to drag up her but Sunset just remained still.
Rarity stepped in, "Darling, you can't just sit there, sulking while letting the hooligans get away with stealing your toys. We need to help you because you're our friend and we love you."
But Sunset's just too sad to even responded back to her.
"Yeah, losing her toys like that must have messed her up more than in the Fall Formal," Rainbow Dash said.
Seeing this is going nowhere, Twilight channeled her geode and lifts Sunset up with her telekinesis. Sunset is still frozen but rather let the magic lift her. Their fellow schoolmates watched in awkwardness when they see Sunset being lifted by purple magic while staying still like she's frozen.
The girls made it to her office, Principal Celestia smiled upon seeing them. But then her smile drops when she sees Sunset being lifted by Twilight's powers.
"Principal Celestia, we need your help," Fluttershy started.
Celestia tries to maintain her composure, "I am very happy to help but... Twilight, can you please put Sunset down?"
Twilight immediately realizes she is still lifting Sunset, so she sets her down on the chair. Sunset is still looking sad.
"Sunset Shimmer, why the long face?" Principal Celestia asked her concerned.
Since Sunset is too sad to say anything, Rainbow Dash decides to answer herself, "Someone broke into Sunset's home last night, stole her toys and that person broke into this school just to set up a treasure map so she can get it back. And we need security footage from last night."
Principal Celestia is shocked and she gazed to her computer. "Give me a moment, girls. I'm going to check the security footage."
But as soon as she start checking the footage from last night, all footage was cut off, this shocks her and the girls even more.
"Someone is trying to cover their tracks," Principal Celestia confirmed, shaking her head, she tries to rewind all the footage back to where it began before the rest of the footage was cut off, but sadly, she can't find any hints, clues, or anything.
"Why don't you fast forward?" Twilight suggested to her, "They should at least leave some clues before they left."
Principal Celestia thought about it, "You might be right there, Twilight." She tries to fast forward all the footage until one footage shows some kind of note, facing at the camera, Celestia immediately paused the video, "And it seems you are right. They did leave something behind."
"What does it say?" Twilight asked her.
Celestia lean closer to the computer screen, "It says "Next clue, it's underneath your principal's desk," she read.
Without any thoughts, Pinkie grabs the paper from underneath the desk, "I got it!" She unfolds it and reads; "We know you're trying to check the security cameras, so we disabled them. But don't worry, we left a clue for you to find this map. The next clue is the place where people filled their empty stomachs and gain more energy. Go there, and find the map that should lead to your missing, plushies."
"That's the cafeteria!" Rainbow clarified.
"Of course," Twilight confirmed, grabbing the first map, "This map leads to here, and that note was a clue for the next treasure map, I believe this person is trying to be more cryptic, but setting up a treasure map in a place we all go is not how you're being cryptic."
"Then what are we waiting for?!" Pinkie declared, she turned to Sunset, "Sunset, if you could please have the will to get your toys back, I will put in a good word with the chefs to give you free cake every morning for breakfast!"
Sunset's mood brightens up, upon hearing the promise of sweets, especially it's one thing that should help motivate her to get her toys back. So Sunset instantly rushes out of the office, leaving the door wide open.
"That's an unhealthy way to offer, Pinkie Pie!" Applejack lectured.
Pinkie shrugged. "What, it's the only way I see to get her to do something."
Rainbow Dash groans in annoyance. "I swear, Pinkie is too childish than Sunset was, how about we should start mothering her too to get her to eat healthier?"
Pinkie gasps, "You'll never take me alive!" She runs away too. Leaving everyone in the office baffled.
Principal Celestia clears her throat and looked directly at the girls. "I trust you, girls, to solve this mystery. So go on."
Minutes later, the girls searched everywhere in the cafeteria. The tables, trash bins, and for Sunset and Pinkie's case, they even searched underneath people's food when they were just eating their breakfast.
And Sunset, she tries to search Octavia's well... soft pillows but Applejack immediately and firmly stopped her before she does so, earning them a weirded look from Octavia. They went into the kitchen and see if they can search there, they searched the cabinets, drawers, stoves, and ovens.
While searching, Rainbow Dash spotted a tray full of pepperoni pizza, being tempted by the food, Rainbow looks around to see if anyone is watching. Rainbow greedily bites one slice, however, the taste was terrible and she spit it out.
"Augh! Chicken and rice pizza?!" Rainbow exclaimed, she felt so sick in her stomach, she turned to Apple Bloom who just appeared next to her. "Will you stop making the same secret recipe and disguise them as different types of food on the outside?!"
Apple Bloom's face turned annoyed. "Oh, c'mon, it can't be that bad," she grabs the slice and eats it like it was nothing. This caught Rainbow off guard and makes her sick so she super-dashes all the way to the restrooms.
Twilight was checking underneath the sink. "Did you girls find anything?" She turned to Sunset who is slowly getting desperate.
Sunset shook her head in desperation as she flips over the plates and Twilight catches them with her powers, "No, no, no!" She cried. "I can't find the next map! Where can it be?!"
"Sunset calm down!" Twilight shouted, setting the plates down on the table, she reaches up to her and embrace her from behind, "We'll find them. But please don't freak out so much!"
Just as Sunset gives in to Twilight's warm embrace, Pinkie Pie pops up from the sink Twilight just took a look at earlier, "I found it!" She called, holding the map, Rainbow Dash just comes back. "Let's see here..." she studies the map carefully, "It leads to the school gym!"
"The gym?" Applejack wondered.
Pinkie nodded. "That's what the map says," Pinkie repeated. "It's all the way to the gym."
Sunset's mood went up to determination, "Then what are we waiting?! Let's go!"
A little later, the girls made it to the school gym, it's not gym class for today, well for their schedule at least. But it should be open soon for some of the students who were scheduled to be here when the first bell rings.
"Okay," Rainbow said, "So we're in the gym. And where do we start looking?"
"Fret not darlings," Rarity's voice called over to them. The girls turned their right to see Rarity in her detective uniform, the gym becomes dark gray all of a sudden, "With the help of my detective skills, we will the find the treasure, and find our darling Sunset's toys back."
"By playing dress-up?" Rainbow tried to joke, she earns a bump to the shoulder from Applejack.
"Certainly not," Rarity objected, doing a detective pose, "I just need my detective skills to be ready for this case."
"We're not going around asking people if they have seen the treasure, Rarity," Applejack told her annoyed.
"Of course, we're not doing that," Rarity replied, "Like I said, with the help of my detective skills, we can find the treasure."
Just then, her phone rings, she picks and it u[ she was still using that old analog phone, some of the girls laughed, "Listen, I sincerely have no time but-" she heard Sunset's giggles over the phone.
"No time? Since you never have time for new school," Sunset joked, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie cracked at that joke.
Rarity just stared at her with an annoyed look on her face, "Sunset, sweetie, I know your trying to pull a joke here but I believe now's not the time."
So the girls spent the next 15 minutes searching around the gym, even in the boys and shower rooms.
"Any luck?" Sunset asked, she was looking in the junior team's lockerroom
"Nope," Applejack called from the restrooms.
"I'm afraid not," Fluttershy called from the ceiling of the gym, she was descending back to the ground with her pony wings.
"Nope!" Pinkie called from the trash can.
"Nope," Rainbow was just playing Basketball instead.
"No, sadly," Twilight called, coming out from the girl's showroom.
"Darlings! I found something!" Rarity's voice can be heard in the boy's shower room.
They all went to the source where her voice came from and find Rarity in the boy's shower room. Rarity was digging some trash from the trash bin, it's pretty disgusting for her taste, but the treasure map has to be in there. After a while, she finally found the piece of paper with a small note on it.
"And this is it!" Rarity announced, and she immediately hand it over to Twilight, "And kindly take this since it smells here?" Rarity then pulls out an old-school perfume and sprays it all over herself, the girls were coughing and coughing and they try to cover their mouth and nose.
"Seriously, Rarity?!" Rainbow choked through her cough, "First, an old school phone and an old school perfume?!"
Applejack coughed as well, "Ah'd rather take Apple Bloom's chicken and rice ingredient than this one!"
"Couldn't agree more!" Rainbow agreed.
Sunset tries to fan the smell of the perfume away, "Girls, can we get back to the topic at hand, please?"
After the smell was gone, the girls then breathed for air, Twilight clears her throat and reads; Your next clue is where all that footy action takes place." She looks confused, "Footy action?"
The girls think hard of what does the clue means by that, only for Rainbow Dash and Sunset to answer, "The football field!"
The girls were at the football pitch.
"So where do we start?" Fluttershy asked her friends.
"We start of the course is by looking around," Twilight suggested, "We should check everywhere."
Sunset groans in a childlike way, "How can they hide a piece of paper in a wide-open football pitch and make it even harder? I want my toys back!" She then runs to the center of the pitch, "Stay back girls, I need to vent my frustrations!"
Whenever Sunset gets angry, she would always go outside and perform her Shimmer Spinner to vent her anger. The strong breeze hitting her face is more than enough to keep her calm. So she does, the girls can feel the wind getting stronger just as Sunset's spin is getting faster, the angrier she gets.
After 30 seconds, Twilight saw a piece of paper flying around the wind caused by Sunset's unpredictable signature move, she quickly catches it with her magic and tries to call Sunset, "Sunset stop! You just made it easier for us! We got it!"
Sunset instantly stopped and her mood brightened and rushes back to the group and snatches it from Twilight's hand. It's a map and a note as well.
"There's also a note," Sunset read, Perfect! You found the map and another note! Just follow the directions shown on the map, and you will get your toys back! Oh, make sure only you Sunset Shimmer, must come alone. To yours, love Sonata." "Sonata?!" Sunset cried out in shock.
"What?!" Rainbow exclaimed as well.
"Let me see that!" Applejack snatch the paper from Sunset, and she read again. "Of course! The first note has someone's name that starts with an A! Ah should've known, the only person whose first name is A is Adagio!"
Now the rest of the girls were surprised as well, so Twilight added, "So they used Sunset's plushies against her! If she goes there alone, the Dazzlings will catch her and will come as far as taking her very, very, very far away from Canterlot!"
"Oh no!" Fluttershy gasps.
"That's horrible!" Pinkie added.
"I will give Adagio an early kickoff once I get my hands on her!" Rainbow Dash growled.
Twilight turns to Sunset, "Sunset, we know you want your plushies back, but it's too dangerous," Sunset lowers her head in sadness, but Twilight lifts her chin up, "But don't worry, I have a plan."
"Like what?" Applejack asked her. "Using Sunset as bait?"
"No," Twilight answered, "But we're going to make it look like Sunset went there alone." She then smirks, knowing her plan is genius.
"But where is it exactly?" Rarity asked her.
Twilight checks the map again, "It's at the time parking lot. During school hours, no one is there, giving the Dazzlings the advantage to grab Sunset."
Rainbow crossed her arms, "So what's your plan?"
Hours later
At the school parking lot, Sunset stayed still. She waited for minutes until the familiar van pulls up in front of her. And then, the three Dazzlings exited their van, smiling viciously at the vulnerable teen.
"So..." Adagio said in a sultry tone, "You nailed that treasure hunt and made the ultimate decision to come forward. Sonata," She called her, Sonata steps forward while holding handcuffs. "We're just going to handcuff you and take you with us and we'll make extra sure you don't escape this time."
But Sunset just glared at her, "First. Toys," she demanded them.
Adagio nodded to Aria, Aria grinned in return and throws a bag towards Sunset and it landed before her feet.
"It's all in the bag, Sunny, honey," Adagio taunted her. "Now, if you're ready, we can go now."
Sunset just simply nodded.
"Sonata," Adagio ordered. Sonata stepped forward and handcuff Sunset's wrists but they just went through her arms like it was nothing.
"What?" Sonata was shocked, but the next thing they don't know, the Sunset Shimmer in front of them disappeared like a hologram was closing.
"And that's what you called, holograms!" They heard Twilight's voice to their left and see Twilight hiding by the pink car with the hologram machine in her hands.
Applejack and Sunset popped up from their hiding spot next to Twilight. Rarity, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy pop up from behind the dumpster, and Rainbow Dash zooms in and grabs the bag and hands it over to Sunset.
"Here you go, sweetie!" Rainbow said, giving Sunset the bag.
Sunset is getting hyped the second she touches the bag, she kneels down and opens it, and she can't believe what she's seeing, "My toys!" She exclaimed happily, grabbing the plush toy of her own pony form and pony Applejack.
Applejack approached the Dazzlings with a menacing glare, "Yah got some nerve to try to make that sick game on Sunset!" She barked at them.
Pinkie turns to Sonata, "And how kind if you to leave your name on the last treasure map and a note," she taunted the third siren.
"What?!" Adagio and Aria cried out in shock, staring angrily at Sonata.
"I-I thought we-we're being unfair to them, that's all..." That was all Sonata could say.
"You idiot!" Adagio grolwed at her.
Back with Sunset, she was pulling more of her plushies out of the bag and she was about to get the last one, however, her smile drops when the bag was empty, and her collection is not complete.
She looked up to the girls with a sad face and said, "Where's Princess Twilight plushie?"
Twilight stared coldly at the Dazzling leader, expecting an answer from her, "What?" Adagio shrugged, "It should be in the bag."
"I'm afraid it's not in the bag and Princess Twilight is gone!" Sunset shouted, she stood up and face the three sirens, the girls stayed close behind Sunset, being ready in case the Dazzlings tries something, Sunset glared at the leader, "Where's Princess Twilight?!"
Adagio was unfazed and she turns to Sonata, who just shrugs.
"What does that mean?!" Sunset cried, staring at the third siren.
"Well...." Sonata explained, "when we broke into your house last night, we stole the plushies, but the moment we return to our own place, one of them is kinda gone..."
"Kinda?!" Sunset shouted, she's getting desperate, she marched towards Sonata. "No, knowing you, you gotta be lying!" She reach out her hand to Sonata's, Sunset's eyes turned white just as she looks into Sonata's head.
Last night, the Dazzlings pulled in front of Sunset's house. They somehow disabled the motion sensor and unlock the doorknob with a hairpin, they went inside quietly, looking for something to use against Sunset. And then, they come across Sunset's bed with plush toys laying there together. The sirens grin and took them, and stuff them in the brown bag, and Sonata was carrying it. They quickly head outside, lock the door and drive away.
When they returned, Sonata discovered that one of the plushies went missing, and she's like, "Oops..."
After it ended, Sunset lets go of her hand and she has this shocked look on her face, she was speechless, Sonata doesn't know what to do nor what Sunset will say. And then after one minute of silence, she was like, "You.... LOST IT?!"
Sonata recoiled and backed away from the girl who was about to cry, "I-I was holding the bag the entire time! I swore I even put that Princess Twilight plushie in the bag along with the others as well!" Sonata explained.
But then, soon enough, tears were all over Sunset's face, she knelt down and begin to cry. She even cried, "No! Princess Twilight!"
The girls quickly formed a group hug and held her in their embrace as Sunset continued to cry, the Dazzlings, on the other hand, were unfazed by the scene, so without word, Adagio heads back into the van with Aria and Sonata following. Sonata was feeling quite terrible today but she doesn't want to speak that out.
Adagio takes the driver's seat while the other is at the back, they closed the door just as Adagio started the engine and drives off. They're driving away from the parking lot and CHS but Sonata can't stop thinking about what just happened.
"Poor, Sunset," Sonata said sadly. "she'll never see that plushie ever again."
"It's only a toy," Aria said annoyed. "she's such a crybaby."
Later at night, Sunset was starting to feel better, the girls made extra measures to make her happy, even coming as far as bringing their old toys with them to Sunset's house for another sleepover.
The girls are playing with their own set of toys and also sharing some of their toys with each other.
Pinkie Pie is playing with her fidget spinner and Gummy with Sunset's own pony form and Applejack plushie. The fidget spinner knocked both plushies, thus Pinkie wins the "battle".
"Aww, you lose," Pinkie said playfully.
"Well, it's not a fair battle," Sunset playfully complained, both of them are playing on her bed. "I want a rematch!"
"If you say so!" Pinkie declared.
But before they continued playing, Twilight comes over to them, "Hey Sunset, are you feeling better?"
Sunset nodded, "Yes," she replied. "I felt a little embarrassed and stupid for crying and sulking the whole day."
Hearing this makes the girls stop playing and turned their attention towards her, Rainbow Dash, leaps to her bed. "Hey, it's not stupid. We get it, we understand why you cried so much for the whole day. A long time ago, Pinkie Pie cried for the whole day when she thought she lost Gummy."
"And it took me one day to find him again!" Pinkie added.
Sunset smiled, "Yes but still, I shouldn't cry so much about it," she said. "Even though I loved that Princess Twilight plushie so much and it sucks that I'll never find it."
"Don't say that sweetie," Applejack said, she was holding a small toy apple. "Who cares if people think yer too old for toys? Pinkie still has toys."
"And you did make your point that other day where you told the whole football team that it was never weird that we treated you like a mom would do and you responded back by acting like a child." Rainbow recalled.
"And besides, no one at school is laughing at us," Twilight told her as well.
Sunset nodded, knowing that her friend is right, "You're right. But one thing I learned long ago since the Fall Formal, there are things you should let go of if they're holding you back. So I should let go, that I would never see that plushie ever again."
The girls smiled, agreeing with Sunset.
A few hours later, the girls went to sleep, Twilight was sleeping next to Sunset in her own bed. But unknown to them, the Princess Twilight plushie landed in front of Sunset's doorstep with a parachute, landing to safely. A security camera from across the street watched the plushie just land on the doorstep.
"Agent S. I made the drop, I repeat, I made the drop." The pilot confirmed over the headset, he was flying over Sunset's neighborhood and he was the one who made the drop.
"Good," A female voice replied. "Now fly outta there, I'll call you soon."
"Roger that, agent," The pilot replied and fly away in his black helicopter.
The woman is watching the drop happened from the CCTV camera, and in her office. The footage of the plush toy was played in the woman's computer. She uses her computer's futuristic feature and zooms into Sunset's house, there, she saw all the girls sleeping in their sleeping bags and Sunset and Twilight sleeping together. But her attention was mostly on Sunset.
"Take good care of that thing when you wake up, double," the woman spoke. "I'll be watching. This is a small favor I did for you compared to the last "magical" incidents that had been happening around you and your school that I had to cover up to interfere government response. And since I was you, I'd get some sleep too."
The woman shut her computer stood up and left her office. She was wearing a black suit with black shades, she seems pretty older, well likely in her late twenties, she has fiery hair and amber skin. She has a name tag on her chest that shows her status as an FBI agent and with her name on it.
The girls were in their detention room, serving their time in detention after class. The girls were either minding their own business. Applejack and Rarity are talking about family matters, Twilight is helping Fluttershy with their studies for the test next week, and Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Sunset Shimmer were playing at the far back of the classroom, with some of Pinkie's and Sunset's toys.
"And they are down!" Rainbow announces dramatically, making their toys lose their balance, "And superstar Rainbow Dash wins! Yeah!" She waves the plush toy of her pony counterpart over her head to come off as if the Rainbow Dash plush toy is flying.
"Oh no!" Sunset exclaimed dramatically, checking over her pony Sunset and Princess Twilight plushies.
"Aww, man!" Pinkie added.
Rainbow chuckled, "You two should've up your game when you're up against the," she held out the pony RD plush toy, "speedster!"
Sunset placed her hands on her waist like a child, "Well in Equestria, if you are a unicorn, you can teleport."
Rainbow raised her eyebrow, "And what pony are you again?" she question her.
"A unicorn," Sunset answered plainly, "And no when I'm in this world, I can't teleport."
"At least I am a pegasus in Equestria, so I can fly," Rainbow bragged.
"If we're in Equestria, I want to bet if you're superspeed can challenge my teleportation speed," Sunset challenged.
Rainbow Dash grinned, knowing her, she always loves a challenge, "Oh you're on!" she declared.
But before their conversation continues, Sunset's journal in her satchel glows, knowing it's Princess Twilight wanting to talk to her.
"It's Princess Twilight," Sunset informed everyone, the moment they heard the name, they all stopped what they were doing and turn their attention to Sunset. Sunset grabs her journal from her satchel and Pinkie moves closer to her.
"So what did she say?" Pinkie asked her.
Sunset opens the book and turns to the latest entry, Hello Sunset! It's been a while since we last spoke. I've been thinking about something that should benefit us all. So, I thought I should host a Friendship-Get together! Basically, I invited my own friends to my castle while you invite your own friends here! It will be fun! I know it can be a little weird for your friends to meet your counterparts but it will be fine. I promise! We will all have lots of fun with a lot of activities, U can't wait to see you and the girls here.
But all of you can't stay here for much longer than you have to. For balance reasons.

Sunset smiles, feeling excited to see her friend in Equestria again. She closes the book and faces her friends, "Princess Twilight invited us to Equestria to have this Friendship Get-Together she's hosting. It means she's inviting her own friends to her castle and she also invites all of us to be there as well."
"A Friendship Get-Together? That sounds awesome!" Pinkie said excitedly.
"A chance to meet my own counterpart?!" Rainbow added with excitement, "I'm in!"
"Wait for a second," Twilight stopped them firmly, "Isn't bad enough that all of us were going to be in another world with our counterparts already living there?"
"The princess said that while we're all going to have fun with her and her friends, we can't stay there for much longer than we have to," Sunset told her.
"But there is one question remains," Applejack said uncertainly, "What if the Dazzlings are watching us going through the portal and they'll figure it out where yer homeland is?"
Sunset frowns knowing her friend is right. "I... don't know," she said silently. Not knowing what to do about that.
"Actually, I already got it covered," Pinkie Pie answered, she smiles and steps aside, showing the gang a Sunset Shimmer cardboard.
"A cardboard?" Twilight asked her.
Pinkie nodded, "Yes! The plan is, since Rainbow Dash is the fastest, she has to take this cardboard with her and lure the Dazzlings away from our school as far as possible. And once she's done, she makes her way back here and we're all going to portal safe and sound!" she rapidly explained her plan.
Rainbow Dash, being the speedster, can easily keep up with Pinkie's rapid rambling and nods in agreement, "Yeah, this plan is perfect. It makes sense for me to do the distraction since I am the fastest."
"Are you sure you will be okay, darling?" Rarity asked her a little concern.
Rainbow scoffed, "I'll be fine. Besides, I won't take long. Anything for Sunset."
Applejack sighs but she nodded, "Anything for Sunset," she repeated.
"So it's settled," Sunset said, standing up, "Later at night, we went to the portal. Rainbow Dash carries cardboard that looks like me to lure the Dazzlings after that, she joins us and we will have fun with the princess."
"Sweet! Let's get going!" Pinkie shouted in excitement.
Later at night, the girls were standing by the portal, the school is already closed as well. They've been waiting 5 minutes for Rainbow Dash to show up. She should distract the Dazzlings with the cardboard making them think it's the real Sunset Shimmer.
While they were waiting, Twilight's phone rings, her ringtone is the song Side by Side, she picks it up and answers the call, "Hello?"
"They took the bait like morons," she hears Rainbow speaking over the phone, "I'm coming back like.... right now."
Rainbow Dash suddenly appears next to the group the second she finishes the last part of her sentence.
Twilight just simply puts her phone down, "Okay, so, did you make sure it's far enough?"
"Yes I made it even further from here just in case," Rainbow confirmed.
"Okay," Sunset said, "Now, listen girls. The last time we went through this portal back here just to get home since spring, the feeling of going through that portal was.... kind of unnatural in a way." She explains carefully to them.
"No worries, sweetie," Pinkie Pie hops her way to the portal, "I kind of liked the feeling," and then she leaps into the portal.
Sunset shrugged, "Welp looks like it's our turn now. Come on, girls."
So one by one, the girls each went through the portal. And when they're going through, Sunset was right, the feeling of going through here was unnatural and maybe a little doozy. They'll never get used to this no matter how many times they go through the portal.
Rarity was the last person and she landed on her hands I mean, hooves, she looked around her surroundings. Yes, this place is familiar to her since the spring, and she gazes at herself, grumbling that she's naked. To her front, her friends in pony forms were already there, still getting used to being pony despite the last time they were here.
Applejack tries to stand on two hooves but barely tries and goes back to use 4 hooves, Fluttershy, and Twilight tries the same but realized they are now ponies so they stand on 4 hooves instead.
Sunset can see them struggle a little, so she tries to relate to them, "Believe me, the first I came to your world, I had trouble walking with two feet and how hands work."
"I still can't get over the fact that all my things are horse things!" Twilight shouted in fear.
"Again, those are called pony things," Sunset told her calmly.
Pinkie Pie on the other hand was used to this and she has no trouble at all, "Yeah, for some reason, I don't have any trouble with this kind of thing," she continues hopping around the room. "Weird but cool!"
"I am very unsatisfied that I am naked," Rarity complained.
"Ah dunno 'bout yah but ah still got mah hat for some reason," Applejack said as she readjust her hat.
"INCOMING!" Rainbow shouted from above, she zooms in and landed into a pile of books, creating a big thud.
The ponies rush to the pile of books to check on Rainbow Dash just as she pops her head from the books.
She chuckled, "Yeah, I got a little excited there," she said sheepishly.
Just then, the big doors open revealing a very familiar purple mare, "What was that?! I heard a crash and-" she stopped her rambling when she sees Sunset and the girls, "Sunset! Girls! I'm glad all of you were here!"
Sunset gallops to her and gives each a warm hug, "It is so good to see you again, Princess Twilight," Sunset replied happily.
"Yes, you too, Sunset," Twilight answered back as they let go of each other, "Now let's go. My friends were waiting by the dining room. Pinkie Pie is making delicious chocolate."
Hearing the word "chocolate" makes Sunset, Rainbow Dash, and Pinkie Pie's eyelids turn into an image of chocolate, so they quickly rush through the hallways and they all match Rainbow's magic speed. However, though, Rainbow stops in mid-action when she got a little confused, "Wait, where is the dining hall again?"
Meanwhile, the Mane 5 were chatting with each other by the dining hall. The dining table was bigger than the other one to give room for their guests, Pinkie Pie is still in the kitchen making the chocolate. And to their surprise, both Sunset and the other world's Pinkie Pie stormed in and leap into their seats, rapidly asking for chocolate, the Mane 5 were uncertain about this sudden welcome.
"O... kay...?" Rainbow Dash said awkwardly, "that's kinda not the welcome I thought it would."
Human Rainbow Dash, the others, and Princess Twilight eventually catch up with them, "There you two are," the princess told Sunset and Pinkie, "Okay, this is not the welcome I expect it would. But anyway, while we're waiting for our world's Pinkie Pie, why don't all of you make the introductions?" she suggested nicely.
With this, Pinkie zooms to the kitchen to meet her pony counterpart while the others begin to conversate with each other.
"So is there anything that Sunset's Twilight is anything relatable to you?" Starlight asked Princess Twilight,
"Well, I always love studying," Sci-Twi answered, "my favorite subject is science. But it really is more interesting to study how magic works."
"Me too," Princess Twilight added, "But one thing I like studying is more about Friendship, so I can help ponies feel happy and make Equestria a better place."
"And the only difference between you two is that one of you has her hair down, and the other one wears a ponytail and the glasses," Sunset pointed out.
"Yes," she turns to her counterpart, "please don't take this as an offense but why did you wear glasses?"
"Well it's because I lost my eyesight before back when I was a student in Crystal Prep," Sci-Twi replied, "And also, I like the ponytail a lot.
Meanwhile with the Fluttershys.
"So do you have a pet rabbit whose name is Angel?" Fluttershy asked her human counterpart.
Fluttershy nodded, "Certainly, and to top it all off, I have met and befriend a lot of animals in my world," Fluttershy said her story.
"Oh me too!' Fluttershy replied gleefully.
And next, we got the Applejacks, "So anyway, what was the Sweet Apple Acres like in this world?" ASJ asked her pony counterpart.
"It's the same as how yers work in yer world," Applejack replied, "Except that there are ponies doing the hard work. Ah've been working hard today and Granny Smith let me take the day off."
"And what about yer sister?" AJ asks her carefully, "does she also makes that... you know... chicken and rice?"
"Ah sweet Celestia no," Applejack denied, "we would never eat meat. Although, the closest to that is when she usually makes rice fish," she shudders at the memories of her little sister's "secret recipe", "Ah rather stick to haybale."
Applejack also shudders as well, "Yeah, let's not talk about it."
"Tell me, other me, do ponies here wear clothes as much as we do in our world?" Rarity asked her pony self, "I mean, look at me! I'm naked!"
"Oh, don't fret," Rarity told her gently, "We do have clothes, but not most of everypony wears them and clothes were only an option for certain events. But don't worry darling, it's nothing wrong with galloping around butt naked."
Rarity shivered at the thought of going around naked but she knew she must trust her pony self, "Thanks darling, I will keep that in mind," she said quietly and uncertainly.
"How about we bet to see who is the fastest?" Rainbow dared to her pony counterpart, knowing both of them, they were being competitive when it comes to challenges.
"Oh I will show you who's the fastest!" Rainbow Dash bragged arrogantly.
"How about we make things a bit interesting?" Rainbow added with a smirk, "Let's put my friend, Sunset Shimmer into this since she brags how unicorn's teleport speed is faster than our speed." She turns to Sunset, "Hey, Sunset," their conversation was interrupted when Rainbow calls her, "We still got a bet to do. To see who is the fastest. You and your teleportation or our magical speed."
Sunset smirks, "Oh, I will indeed show you the speed of the unicorn's teleportation power is faster than yours!" Sunset bragged competitively.
"Just don't waste any more time," Princess Twilight warned them, "As I told you before, Sunset, you and the girls can't stay here for much than you really can. For balance reasons of course."
Just then, two Pinkie Pies came back with Equestria's Pinkie Pie pushing a push tray with bowls filled with chocolate with sticks on top of them.
"We're back!" Both Pinkie Pies announced happily,
"And we also got a special hot chocolate with sticks!" Pinkie added, "They're solid and hot, so you better your sticks instead."
They each receive a bowl of their own. After a while of giving them their bowls of hot chocolate, they went to their own respective seats and begin to enjoy this delicious dessert.
"Ow!" Rainbow whined when she bites the piece, "It's hot..."
"But that's what makes this chocolate even tastier!" Pinkie told her.
Some others like Sci-Twi and Rarity were having trouble using their own horns. Rarity steadily levitates the piece of chocolate and the stick and lifts it to her mouth but it hits her face instead, she shrieks at how hot it was and her face was already "ruined".
Sci-Twi tries her best to levitate the treat to her mouth as she did last time when she, Sunset, and Rainbow Dash were here during the spring. But this time, she has chocolate all over her face.
"Oh man," Sci-Twi complained, "I'll never get a hang of this horn."
Sunset swallowed some of her food and turns to Twilight, "Look, just levitate it like how you do back in our world," she advised her.
"Except that we're in Equestria, and my things are all pony things, and the only thing I could use to activate my magic is my horn!" Twilight retorted.
"Then try to concentrate a little," Sunset advised her carefully, "watch me, just focus on any object you want to levitate," Sunset then demonstrates this by focusing on her bowl until her horn activates and she was levitate the stick, sticking to the small piece of chocolate and she takes the bite. She chews and swallows and turns back to her friend, "See? It's not so hard."
Twilight studied Sunset's demonstration, "Hmm, okay. Let's see if I can do the same," she tries what Sunset does and she did! She can now easily levitate her treat and lift it to her mouth, taking the whole piece except for the stick.
"But what about me?" Rarity gazes down on her bowl again and tries to use her horn once more. She manages to get it right and lifts the piece into her mouth, taking the chocolate with her teeth and lifting the stick out, she takes her time to chew and then swallow, "My goodness, this is delicious!"
"Now that wasn't so hard," Sunset gratefully, now that her two friends were getting a hang of their horns.
Pinkie swallows her chocolate as well, "I even helped my other me to improvise a little!" She continues munching her chocolate.
"Exactly!" Pinkie exclaimed, "If it weren't for her, this wouldn't be a hundred times better!"
The ponies continued to munch over their chocolate, using the stick to pull the very hot, hard piece of chocolate out of the bowl.
"Anyway, I've been meaning to ask." Princess Twilight puts down her stick. "How were you girls since last spring? I was relieved when you girls and all your classmates didn't stay here for much longer. For... balance reasons."
"In my defense, I never heard about the balance thing," Sunset defended.
"I know, but still, it's not the best idea, Sunset," Princess Twilight told her.
"We were stuck in the middle of an island, Twilight," Sunset said.
"We could've just waited for the rescue team to come and get us," Pinkie suggested.
"Yeah, imagine they know we were in trouble, and when they arrived at an island where we are last seen, there is no one around," Rainbow stated.
Applejack sallow her chocolate, "Yep, ah imagine we made them waste their time."
"But it's all good now," Princess Twilight reminded them, "you girls defeated Storm King, save everyone, and returned home safely."
"And afterward, the whole student body agreed we would never talk about this again," Sci-Twi added, "And we have to stop Lyra from talking about it on a video."
"She couldn't stop rambling about everything that happened last spring," Sunset said with an annoyed look on her face.
Pinkie nodded, "We had to tie her up and force her to stop!" She rambled.
"You what?!" Starlight shouted in horror.
Pinkie chuckled, "I'm only joking! No, we did not do that. We just simply told her to stop for a reason, and after reasoning with her, she agreed and never talk about Equestria again."
Rainbow Dash sighs in relief. "And I really thought your Pinkie Pie has gone insane." She munches over chocolate.
"I was never insane," Pinkie Pie told her, "I was just me." She let out a big wide smile on her face.
Princess Twilight stared at her pink friend rapidly eating her chocolate. "Uhm, yes. Well, anyway," she maintains her composure, "We have a lot to catch up on, so when we're done eating this, I would like you, girls, to get along with your own counterparts. But please, don't take too long, as I said, balance issues."
Rainbow Dash raises her hoof up. "Oh yeah!" She exclaims, looking at her counterpart, "We are going to have so much fun together!"
"I know, right?!" Rainbow exclaimed excitedly. "This is going to be AWESOME!"
Rarity turned to her counterpart with a smile. "Oh darling, I would love to hear so much more about you and what your world was like."
Rarity smiled back at her as well. "Oh, I'll happily tell you all about it." She giggled.
After about 10 minutes, the ponies split up into each pair of groups. Hanging out with their own counterparts. Princess Twilight, Starlight, Sunset, and Sci-Twi were walking through the hallways while the rest are hanging with their own counterparts.
"So, Sunset," Princess Twilight starts to talk, "I've been meaning to ask you; what were you going to do in your future? I mean, like after you and the girls graduated school or something?"
Sunset sighs, she's been thinking about this for a while. "I'd be lying if I said I want to come back here," she answered.
Starlight raised her eyebrow. You don't want to stay here anymore?" She asks her.
"It's not that I don't want to be here again but-" she stops for a moment, and then continues, "sure, Equestria is nice and all but I don't feel like this place is my home anymore." She lowers her head a little. "But the mirror world does." She raises her head. "With my friends, the only friends I had ever made in my whole life. I am much happier in that world that I even made a life for myself there, and made it even better since the Fall Formal."
Princess Twilight gave her a smile. "Well then, I respect your decision, Sunset. And knowing Princess Celestia, she would respect that too."
"But what about your family?" Starlight asks her. "Your real family?"
Sunset frown at the memory of her bad relationship with her parents. "My relationship with my parents," she stops for a moment, "was not so healthy. Princess Celestia was like a real parent to me than my real parents."
"And how are you going to stay in the mirror world where there, you are basically an illegal pony alien with no legit documents?" Starlight questioned her.
"I'm sure that this Twilight Sparkle can think of something." She gestures to Sci-Twi. "She's good with science and technology."
Princess Twilight raised her eyebrow at them, "Are you talking about illegally applying for college?"
Sunset waved it off. "Well, how do you think I illegally enrolled to Canterlot High?" Sunset questions back at her.
Princess Twilight thinks of something. "Well, I can ask Discord to provide you with papers, documents, and everything else that should make you look like a legal citizen in the mirror world."
But Sunset shook her head. "Thanks but, maybe it's for the best if Twilight and I will have to think about it ourselves." And then a thought click her head, and she knew the princess needs to know. "Princess Twilight," she said to her, a little hesitant, "there is something I need to say to you?"
The ponies stop walking as Sunset ask her something personal. The Princess of Friendship can tell the look on Sunset's face. "Yes, what is it?" Sci Twi can tell this was coming so she decided to let Sunset answer.
Sunset deeply inhales and exhales and carefully explains the story to the princess. "You see, I...." she gulped and then continues. "I've been kidnapped a lot by the Dazzlings."
The look of horror was visible on Princess Twilight and Starlight's faces. The last pony in their friendship group who got kidnapped was Rainbow Dash.
"You mean the sirens?!" Starlight shouted in horror.
"The sirens that tried to take over since the Battle of the Bands?!" Princess Twilight shouted in fear of what Sunset had gone through and anger at whatever the Dazzlings did to her. She grabs Sunset's head. "What did they do to you, Sunset?!"
"Twilight, wait! That's not all!" Sunset replied back, getting softly pushing away the purple mare's hooves. "It's not just that. Well, when I got kidnapped once, I escaped. But they kidnapped me again, I escaped again, they did it again, I prevailed once more. Some other times, my friends may come and rescue while most of the time I made it out myself in one piece."
Princess Twilight with a dreaded look on her face step towards Sunset. "How many times they kidnapped you?" She asks quietly.
"Fifty-five times...." Sunset replied sheepishly and let out a sheepish grin.
"Fifty-five times?!" Princess Twilight shouted in horror. "What do they want from you?! And why only you?!"
Sunset tries to defuse the situation. "They want to know where the portal is," she tries to explain carefully. "So they can come over here and take over Equestria. And kidnapping me makes sense to them since I was born in this world."
Princess Twilight growled. "I should've known," she said with a hint of anger in her voice. "When you and the girls return home, I will close the portal for a while. Just in case if they somehow figured it out where it is."
"Thanks but I am not finished yet," Sunset replied. Earning a confused look from the princess and Starlight. "Well, you see, the number of times that I've been kidnapped by the Dazzlings, my friends, well, let's just say they went all crazy about and they were being too overprotective."
Sci-Twi stepped forward, "I let my paranoia get the better of me and I wasn't thinking straight. Like, that one day I had Sunset to be put in a hamster ball that should protect her...and I made her attend school while in the ball. But," she looks away, feeling a little guilty, "well, it turned out the worst for Sunset and us as well."
"And let's not forget that Twilight and the girls were not only overprotective to me," Sunset added, "but they all went and act like moms as well. It gets stronger the number of times I get kidnapped, Twilight here, went overboard on her part."
Starlight stared at Sci Twi. "Is it true?" she asked the Princess' counterpart.
Sci Twi meekly nodded. "Yes. Not my best part, but we tried to learn from it. We even tone it down every once in a while, and keep it to ourselves if we have privacy."
"And you thought babying Sunset is the way to protect her?" Starlight asks her again.
Sci-Twi nodded in reply. "Yeah...that too."
Sunset cleared her throat. "While I have to admit, a while back after getting kidnapped each and every time and escape from the Dazzlings, the girls' motherly and overprotective act was driving me crazy. But recently, I got no choice but to give in to this... ridiculous behavior from and them... and.... it was not so bad at all."
"And you're enjoying this madness from your friends?" Starlight asks her as well.
Sunset smiles as well. "Yeah, that too. And I had too much at school while waiting for the girls in detention. Oh!" She grabs something from her saddlebag and shows them the Princess Twilight plushie. "Again, I want to thank you for making me these plushies, Twilight."
Princess Twilight nodded with a smile. "I'm glad you appreciated, Sunset. It was an odd thing you asked at first but who am I to say no to a friend?"
Sunset chuckled. "Yep, I am sure you do." She puts it back in her saddlebag.
"Anyway," the Princess turned to her counterpart. "Back to you, after hearing the full story, I understand why you and the girls acted that way, but one thing I do know is that you can't let your fears get the better of you. If you say you and the girls can't survive for five seconds when Sunset was out of your sight, I can see where you're coming from. But it's important to let go of your fears and paranoia."
Sci Twi sighs, knowing her counterpart is right. "Yes, I suppose you're right. But the thing is," she said hesitantly, "we got so scared if the Dazzlings come and capture her again. We were just doing what we possibly can," she turn to her best friend. "to protect her." And she turns back to her counterpart. "But you are right, we should stop worrying too much about Sunset and try to enjoy our friendship. Although, we still need to be more alert just in case the Dazzlings come and get her again."
Princess Twilight smiles at her counterpart, feeling glad that her double is now seeing reason. "Good. Now that was settled, I will be closing the portal for a while after you girls return home. But for now, let's get to reading!"
The three ponies squeal with delight, beginning to get excited to read some books.
After about 2 hours, the girls and the Mane 6 were gathered together back in the library where Princess Twilight gets the portal ready.
"I hope you girls have fun hanging with your own counterparts," Princess Twilight said delightfully.
"Heck yeah, we did!" Rainbow exclaimed, hoof bump with her double. "We even fly around the region for 5 laps to see who's the fastest!"
"And in the end, it turns out we're both the fastest!" Rainbow added enthusiastically.
"Ah sure don't want to try some of Apple Bloom's chicken and rice recipe," Applejack said. "But here? Fish and rice?"
Applejack shuddered. "Ah know, right? Ah will have a word with Apple Bloom later."
Princess Twilight smiles brightly at the ponies. "I am glad to hear that the rest of you had a lot of fun for today, but it's best for you girls to return to your world. After that, I will be closing the portal for a while," she turns to Sunset's friends. "that should ease your worries a little."
Sunset gave her a smile. "Thank you, Twilight." She turns around to her friends. "Now come on girls, let's go home."
So, one by one, the girls each jump into the portal. Sunset was the last person but before she go, she gives Twilight one last hug. "I will see you again soon."
Twilight returns the hug, "Yes, may I see that we will meet again soon."
When they broke the hug, Sunset jumps into the portal. While the rest of the Mane 6 watched with smiles on their faces.
It was a lovely morning in Twilight's house. The early sunrise and the birds chirping outside are more than enough to get the Equestria Girls up for another day. Although, it turns out that Sunset is the first one who woke up early before them.
Twilight yawns as she slowly sits up and just as she puts her glasses on, she notices Sunset was not beside her.
"Girls..." Twilight called to them with a little worry. "Where is Sunset?"
The other girls look around and they are getting worried. Anxiety was slowly building up inside of them.
"Okay, okay," Rainbow wave her hands. "Let's try not to jump to conclusions here. Twilight's security in her place was tighter than a jar of pickles."
"She's right," Twilight agreed. "There is no way the Dazzlings can somehow break in here and-"
"Don't yah say it, Twilight!" Applejack alarmed. "Ah don't wanna think about it even if it's possible!"
"Then where is she?" Rarity wondered, and looking around and see Pinkie Pie was not seen on her sleeping bag. "And Pinkie Pie is not here either."
"Did someone say my name?!" Pinkie Pie appeared above Rarity, causing her to scream in surprise.
"Pinkie Pie! Can you stop that?!" Rarity screams.
Pinkie Pie suddenly appeared next to Rainbow Dash. "You don't have to worry anymore, because Sunset is just downstairs in the dining room." Pinkie informed them and her friends all heavily sighs in relief. "And I want you girls to get changed now, because I know we're going to have a [long day ahead of us."
"That's what we're doing now."Applejack stands up and stretches her arms.
"No, I mean literally," Pinkie corrected her. "I know we'll be having an interesting day ahead of us!"
"Then what's so important for today as you know?" Rainbow asks her.
Pinkie smirks. "Just get changed and follow me."
After the girls got changed, they followed Pinkie downstairs. And Pinkie wants them to stay quiet as they followed her. They want to question her, but Pinkie keeps silencing them, so they followed Pinkie. Without a word.
They stopped by the entrance from the living room to the dining room. Pinkie slowly peak to see Sunset in her usual clothing style and munching over her cereal.
"You see?" Pinkie said quietly and turning back to them with a huge grin she's wearing on her face.
"Yeah and what?" Rainbow whispers to her. "She's eating cereal."
"I knew Sunset would love that cereal I bought for her." Twilight added silently.
"So why are yer asking us to spy on her?" Applejack whispered, and she was a little annoyed.
"Just wait and see." Pinkie whispered back and Rainbow just rolled her eyes. Pinkie turns back to Sunset. "Wait for it. Wait for it...." And then Sunset yelped in pain. "There you go!" She turns back to her friends. "Girls, this day only becomes interesting because we are about to take Sunset to a dentist!"
Twilight raised her eyebrow. "You could just tell us and we'll simply just take her to the dentist."
"It's not as simple as that when we're about to give chase." Pinkie said, smiling.
"What do you mean, "give chase"?" Rainbow asks her.
Pinkie snaps her fingers. "Let's check on her and you will all see what I mean."
The girls followed Pinkie to the dining room as Sunset moan a little while holding her left cheek.
"Are yah okay, sweetie?" Applejack asks her with a concern expression.
Sunset realizes her friends are already here, so she quickly hides her pain and force a little smile on her face.
"Of course," she immediately answered while keeping that smile on. "Why wouldn't why?"
Applejack's face becomes stern and places her hands on her hips. "Sunset, yah know ya could never fool me. Tell me the truth."
Sunset's smile dropped and tries to close her mouth as tightly as she can. This just makes Pinkie giggled so much.
"Sunset, sweetie," Pinkie said in a sing-a-song tone. "My Pinkie Sense me is telling that you have a cavity. Of course I can tell when you are noticeably avoiding sweets for the entire week. You even declined the sweets I offered you this past last week."
Sunset gulped. Twilight sits beside her. "It will be fine and quick. We'll just get you to your appointment with a dentist, and he will do the rest and you should be fine afterwards."
Sunset becomes nervous. "Can I just finish this cereal first?" She asks meekly.
Applejack sits on her right. "Ah'm afraid yah can't finish that when it's bad for yer tooth."
"But who is going to finish this cereal?" Sunset gestured to her breakfast.
"You can leave some to me or Pinkie," Rainbow suggested to her.
Sunset gulped again. Twilight can clearly see the dreaded look on Sunset's face. "Sunset, are you okay?" She asks her worriedly.
And then Sunset suddenly smiles. "Of course!" She immediately replied and sounds so cheerful suddenly. "Why wouldn't why be?"
"Hmm, well, we can't leave yet," Twilight said. "But just 10 minutes of warming up, we should get going."
"Oh, yeah!" Rainbow exclaimed. "Let's go do some exercise!"
Twilight stood up. "Now come on, Sunset." She grabs her hand to help her up. But Sunset just remain in her position. Without moving a single muscle. She even tries to pull her hand, but Sunset just remains still. "Sunset, is there something wrong?"
Sunset slowly turns her head to Twilight with a fake smile and the other girls can see that clearly.
"Well....." She gave a long answer. "I don't want to go!" She leaps from her chair and runs in mid-air and duck behind a sofa.
However, the girls already saw her hiding behind the sofa. The girls become concern and slowly approach her while Sunset slowly shows her head to them with fear in her eyes.
And then it clicked in Fluttershy's head in realization. "Wait, are you afraid of the dentist?" She asks in her usual quiet tone.
Sunset just gives her the slow nod. The girls can now see why Sunset doesn't want to go. And Rainbow Dash bursts into laughter.
"Are you telling me you're afraid of a dentist?" Rainbow choked out her words and she just laughs harder. "Sunset Shimmer, the illegal pony alien from Equestria, came to this world and ruled the school with an iron first, turned into a demon, and she is afraid of a simple visit to the dentist!" She laughs harder than she can and tears were already spilling out of her eyes as she laughed.
Sunset blushed in embarrassment. Frustrated at her friend for being so obnoxious, Applejack punches Rainbow in the arm. "Ow!" She moans and rubs her arm.
"Please be kind to our very friend!" Rarity scolded her. Her face turns from stern to concern when she turns to Sunset. "Sunset, sweetie, visiting to a dentist is not so bad."
Rainbow can't help but chuckled. "Yeah, you should've known that by now. Kids get over that fear by the age of 6! But you, you're like 18 and you can't even get over your fear of the dentist!" She laughed again and then she earns another hard punch from Applejack.
Sunset becomes annoyed and stood up. "Okay, fine, laugh at me all you want, Dash. My childhood was not so great compared to yours." She pointed at her friends. "My first appointment with a dentist in Equestria is... not what Princess Celestia thought it would. I even blasted the living heck out of him!"
The girls gasp in shock at the revelation. "Then... what happen to him?" Twilight dared to ask.
Sunset crossed her arms. "Don't worry, he is fine. Only he quitted from his status as a dentist even though Princess Celestia gave her sincere apologies." She turns her head away from her friends and let out a long sigh. "But the thing is... I'm still scared..."
Her friends just stared at her with a concern, Applejack walks over to the couch and gives her an encouraging smile.
"There ain't nothing wrong with the dentist, Sunset," Applejack tries to encourage her.
Sunset gives her a scared look. "I heard that one before from Princess Celestia." She said silently
"But this time you will not blast the living daylights to the dentist in this world." Rainbow told her.
Sunset tries to back away. "I am not going to the dentist!" She declares.
"Sunset, you will be fine," Twilight reassures her. "We promise."
But Sunset doesn't buy it. She stares fearfully at the girls who were trying to help her overcome her fears. She needs to get out of here. Quick!
"Hey what's that?!" She suddenly pointed at the T.V
The girls turn around to where exactly Sunset was pointing at. After a few seconds, they turn back only to find Sunset disappeared and the door open.
"You see?" Pinkie said. "I told you all we're going to give chase."
Sunset runs away from Twilight's house as fast as she can. There is no way she's going to see the dentist. That's a big no, no in her book.
But just as she run crossed the street, Rainbow Dash suddenly appears in front of her, forcing Sunset stop at her feet. Of course Rainbow can easily catch up with her.
"C'mon on, Sunset," Rainbow told her. "You can't seriously be afraid of a dentist. Especially in your current age!"
"Move aside, Rainbow." Sunset demanded her.
"Not a chance." Rainbow denied. "You need to get your tooth fix."
Sunset turns back to see the rest of her friends are catching up with her. Fear grew in Sunset. She needed to get away from them if she didn't want to go to the dentist. She tries to run on her right but Rainbow stops in front of her. Sunset runs back but Rainbow blocks her path in an instant. Sunset turns around and runs but again, Rainbow blocks her like a piece of cake.
"Oh c'mon, Sunset," Rainbow said, looking a little annoyed. "It's only an appointment."
"To heck with what!" Sunset retorted. She runs to the road, but Pinkie Pie and Applejack blocks her way. Twilight, Fluttershy, and Rarity are blocking her other path as well.
"Sunset, it's not that bad," Applejack tries to reason with her.
"It won't take forever, darling." Rarity called to her.
"No, it ain't!" Sunset shouted and runs again but Rainbow stops her yet again. "You block me again, I swear you will regret it!" She warned her.
Rainbow scoffed. "Oh yeah? With what?" She asks with a cocky grin.
Sunset just glares at her. And then a lightbulb clicked in her head. Sunset smirks and she spins up to the maximum rate in an instant. She's using her Shimmer Spinner move! She spins like a raging tornado and the strong wind she's creating makes her friends to cover their eyes. Sunset breezes her away from the girls and stops spinning once she's on the other side of the street.
Rainbow Dash summons her wings and flies straight to her. Sunset turns back and her eyes widened, she quickly reacts and performs her Shimmer Spinner move, causing Rainbow Dash to get caught in Sunset's maximum spin like she got caught by an actual tornado.
After ten seconds, Sunset lets Rainbow go in a blast but she continues spinning and breeze away. Leaving Rainbow being dizzy in mid air. The girls catch up with her as Rainbow slowly descends but barely keeps her balance.
"I should've known she can do that." Rainbow stammered, unable to keep her balance anymore. She was about to fall on her back but Applejack catch her.
"And this is also why I said this day is becoming interesting," Pinkie said, smiling.
"Not helping, Pinkie!" Twilight scolded her. "If we can't find Sunset eventually, the Dazzlings will get her again!"
The girls' gasp in shocked, knowing that she is right.
"Oh, no!" Fluttershy cried out. "We have to find her now!"
"Let's go!" Pinkie exclaimed.
Meanwhile, with Sunset, she runs all the way to Canterlot High. Perfect. A place to hide in the meantime. From her friends, the dentist, and possibly the Dazzlings.
After taking thirty seconds to catch her breath, Sunset reaches to the school doors and yank it open, only that is locked. Great.
"Now where do I hide?" She thinks long and hard, but suddenly runs around the building. "Forget about thinking! I have to run because my friends are going to take me to a dentist!"
She keeps running until she runs past the parking lot and into Wallflower's garden. And just as she arrives, she saw Wallflower watering her plants. Perfect! Maybe she can help.
"Wallflower!" Sunset called to her.
Wallflower stops her work and turns around to see Sunset running towards her.
"Now is not the time." Sunset stops in front of her and panting hard. "I need some tips and tricks."
Wallflower raises her eyebrow at her. "Tips and tricks?"
Sunset nodded profusely. "Yeah. It sounds... odd, but I need some tricks on how to remain invisible amongst people."
"What?" Wallflower replied, bewildered.
"Yeah," Sunset said, scratching the back of her head. "It doesn't matter why I need to know, what matters is how do you do it?"
Wallflower can see the desperate look on Sunset's face. So instead of questioning her more, she sighs and taught Sunset how it's done.
"Okay, what you need is three steps. Got it?" She explained. "Step one, feel nothing but emptiness and loneliness."
"It's that how it works?" Sunset was confused.
"Do you want to be invisible amongst the crowd or what?" Wallflower asks her, annoyed, and she gets a nod in reply. "Okay, just feel so empty. Step two, concentrate. Concentrate as hard as you can as you feel lonely and useless, and step three, think of where do you want to go? Do that and you will be anywhere you want."
"How does that make sense?" Sunset asks her.
Wallflower groans and slaps her face. "Just do it and you'll see! I will close my eyes, but I don't want to hear your footsteps." So she closed her eyes.
So Sunset sits down. She tries to feel nothing as hard as she could muster. She concentrates as well and after a little of concentrating; she thinks of wherever she wants to go. Feeling emptiness, concentrating hard, and think about a place she wants to go. She then closed her eyes...
And then she found herself back in the neighborhood she just escaped.
"Wow!" Sunset was awed as she stood up. "Wallflower's right. It worked!"
"There you are Sunset!" Her blood went cold when she hears Pinkie's voice. And before she runs, Pinkie Pie catches her into a hug. "You will not run away from us again, Sunset." She turns to her friends. "I GOT SUNSET! SHE IS OVER HERE!!"
"Pinkie, you're making me deaf!" Sunset yelled at her.
Sunset struggles to break free from Pinkie's grip to her. Her arms are made of steel. Their friends already came while Sunset is getting desperate to escape from Pinkie's iron grip.
"Sunset, stop squirming," Rainbow told her sternly. "It was only an appointment."
But Sunset is not listening. She only struggles to escape from her pinkish friend. Seeing how desperate their friend is becoming means she's obviously scared. Twilight tries to reassure her once more. "Sunset stop." She firmly grabs her shoulders to get her to stop. "It will be fine. You will be fine. Just trust us. Trust me." She gave her a sincere smile of encouragement.
"I'm don't know if I can believe you..." Sunset whispered and she looks scared.
"Then yah can believe me since ah'm The Element of Honesty." Applejack steps forward. "Ah'm telling the truth when ah say yah will be fine. Pinkie let her go but grab her hand and ah'll grab the other."
Pinkie does what she's told, but she holds Sunset's right hand while Applejack holds her other hand. Sunset was trembling, but Fluttershy patted her back to comfort her. "It will be okay, Sunset." Fluttershy said gently.
"And it won't be long as well," Rainbow added. "We'll just take you there, you just stay calm and you'll fight that cavity of your."
"I fear my first appointment with the dentist in Equestria years ago," Sunset whimpered. "And now I am even more scared of what the dentist is like in this world."
"He won't hurt you, Sunset," Twilight assures her. "Believe in me, believe in us. Now come on, let's go."
So the girls escort Sunset while keeping her hands in hold by Pinkie and Applejack's, making sure she won't escape again.
"I still can't believe Sunset in her current age fears a simple appointment with a dentist!" Rainbow joked and she earns an ear pulling by Rarity.
"Will you please stop joking about Sunset's fears?" Rarity hissed at her, letting go of her ear.
"But it's funny!" Rainbow complained while rubbing her ear. And she gets a slight slap from Rarity herself. "Ow!"
"Serves yah right," Applejack said, and then she suddenly feels empty handed and notice that Sunset had just disappeared. "Where did Sunset run off to?!"
They were surprised that Sunset disappeared on them somehow. It was not long when they Sunset appeared from behind a car and makes a run for it.
"Oh, no you don't!" Rainbow channels her geode and runs to her only for Sunset to disappear again. The second Rainbow blocks her path. "Hey! Where did you go?!"
And then suddenly, Sunset was on a rooftop of a house. "Up here! Come and catch me if you can!" Sunset teased.
Rainbow flies up. Only Sunset disappeared again. "How are you doing this?!"
Then Sunset appears around the corner of the neighborhood. "Wallflower taught me how to be invisible amongst the crowd!" She shouted from afar as she runs away.
Just as Sunset runs away again. Rainbow Dash descends next to the others.
"What are we going to do whenever Sunset tries to run from us?"
Pinkie Pie thought long and hard until she snaps her fingers when the answer came to her. "That's it! We can just lure her instead!"
Meanwhile....
Sunset was hiding in Sugarcube Corner. Despite having a cavity, Sunset still enjoys her favorite treat. Trying to ignore the pain in her tooth as she enjoys her drink.
The girls spotted her through the door. "Man, ah never realized that Sunset was too stubborn to keep trying some treats despite having a cavity." Applejack said.
"And that just brings a favor to my plan!" Pinkie said.
Twilight turns to her. "Okay, Pinkie Pie, what is the plan?" Pinkie just smirks.
As Sunset was rubbing her cheek with her half empty drink. She suddenly noticed something. Something familiar and yet tasty at the same time. She gazes to where the smell comes from and sees a pink cupcake. Never letting this one slide, Sunset stands up and reaches for the cupcake by the door. But the cupcake moves away from the door. Confused, Sunset chases the cupcake as it is being pulled by a hook.
Sunset followed it until it went into the alleyway. And much to her surprise, the girls were there and Pinkie was using a fishing rod to lure her out with a cupcake.
"Gotcha!" Pinkie exclaimed, quickly grabbing the cupcake and eat the whole thing.
"You tricked me!!" Sunset shrieked, pointing her finger at Pinkie.
"Of course I did!" Pinkie replied.
Sunset turns around but was stopped when Rainbow Dash and Applejack blocks her. Sunset gulped.
"Sunset please..." Twilight begged her.
But before any of her friends comes in closer, Sunset performs her Shimmer Spinner and breeze away from her friends. The girls cough out some dusts from their mouth just as Sunset goes further again.
"Great," Rainbow coughed. "She got away again. Now, what are we going to do?"
The others think of a solution. Until Twilight has it, "What if we tire her out?" She suggested to them.
"What do you mean, darling?" Rarity asks her.
"Sunset went through an intense fitness training last school year before I showed up," Twilight explained. "She's been practicing day and night until she got it right with her Shimmer Spinner. So if I say we can use our powers to catch up to her, we'll make her use her signature move as her only means of escaping from us. Make her keep doing it until she gets tired and we corner her. Fast!"
"Does that sound like a good plan to yah?" Applejack asks with a little uncertain.
"I don't know," Twilight replied. "But it's the best I can think of. We find Sunset, and we tire her out."
Rainbow clasps her hands. "If that's what you can only think of, I'm in!"
"And me!" Pinkie added.
The others agreed to this as well. "Okay, now let me pinpoint Sunset's location on my phone," she taps her phone a few times until the location was on screen, "there! She's near Applejack's neighborhood! Let's get there and fast!"
Ten minutes later, Sunset took a rest for a while. She sits down by the sidewalk and starts thinking, can she really keep this up? Getting away from her friends while they're just trying to help her with her cavity? Can she avoid the dentist for a long period? Yes, Sunset knows she needs it. She knows her friends are just trying to help, but she is scared.
Before she can think any further, someone tap her shoulder. Sunset turns around to see Fluttershy just appeared out of nowhere.
"Hi Sunset."
Sunset panics and dash away from her animal loving friend. However, she was stopped when Rainbow Dash stops in front of her, wearing a sneaky grin on her face. Sunset does one thing that saves her life. She uses her Shimmer Spinner once more and spins past Rainbow Dash.
Sunset continues to spin until she was caught by Twilight's magic. "I got you!" Twilight was holding Sunset with her magic.
However, though, Sunset uses her signature move and fights against Twilight's hold on her until Twilight gives up and Sunset was free.
Sunset didn't go away much further when Rarity stands on her way and creates giant diamonds to block the whole road. Sunset turns her left to the intersection and quickly hides behind a trash can before anyone can see her. Unfortunately, since she was panicking, everyone already saw her hiding there. And Pinkie turned it into sprinkles. Sunset runs for it again and uses her Shimmer Spinner.
However, though, Applejack blocks her way, Rainbow Dash appears next to her. The other 4 were right behind her as well. Realizing they're closing in on her, Sunset uses her Shimmer Spinner to breeze through them once more. Her spin becomes stronger and stronger as she becomes desperate.
After about thirty seconds, Sunset finally stops and, much to her horror, her friends still stand tall. Not moving a single muscle, Rarity form giant diamonds and place them all in a circle so Sunset can't go anywhere now.
Realizing she has nowhere to go, Sunset eventually gives up and sits down on the sidewalk. Her friends take this chance to talk some sense to her once more and they all sit beside her.
"Sunset, look at me." But she just covers her face with her hands. Twilight gently grabs her hands and keep her gaze on her eyes. "Not everyone's first time with the dentist is not always been great."
"What I said about the kids getting over that fear by the age of six was true," Rainbow added. "But hey, I can't even get over it when I was only ten."
"We were also dreaded about visiting to the dentist," Rarity said gently. "But of course, we went through it anyway if we want to fight our cavity."
"Ah ain't gonna lie," Applejack said, laying a comforting hand on her shoulder. "It's scary at first, but it ain't when yah go for it. And ah'm telling the truth when ah say it was all worth it in the end."
"I almost fainted during my first appointment with the dentist," Fluttershy added silently.
"I never have a cavity in my whole life!" Pinkie said.
"Sunset?" Twilight told her. "Not all of our first experiences with the dentist were alright than we thought it would, but it was all worth it in the end. The dentist themselves never intended to hurt you." She gave her a begging look in her eyes. "Please. You need this..." She begged.
Sunset stared at Twilight for a moment. Yes, she is scared, but then, she knew she needed this. She just can't face the dentist, but after hearing from each of her friends about their own experiences may... give her some comfort and closure.
After a while, she finally sighs and said, "Okay... I'm ready to go." It's all she can say. They can barely hear her, but they hear her.
Twilight pulls her into a hug. "Good. And believe me, you will be fine."
After an hour of waiting, Sunset exits the dentist's place and glares at her friends. They were sitting by the sidewalk waiting for her and they were a bit surprised to be greeted by an icy stare Sunset was giving them.
"So darling, how did it go?" Rarity asks her. She gets nervous the harder Sunset's glare gets.
"At least it's all right now, ain't it?" Applejack dared to ask. Sunset just turns her back around and crosses her arms.
Pinkie Pie launches herself to her for a hug. "C'mon! Don't be that way! I will give you desserts forever!" She pouted when Sunset was ignoring her. "Sunset, please say something!"
But Sunset just ignored her, so Pinkie sadly let her go. The others don't know what to say about this, but Sunset just simply walks away from them, out of their sights. Without saying a word.
The girls were saddened a little by Sunset's cold behavior towards them, and the silent treatment they received from her. But they knew her, they understand why she is being this way. Knowing her, she can get over it in no time. She just needs some space.
Just then, Rarity's old analog phone rings in her purse, much to Applejack's annoyance. " Will yah please turned that thing off?!" Applejack demanded and she is really annoyed.
"I don't know how!" Rarity replied, panicking a little. "This thing never turns off!"
"Unless that thing never has an off button during its prime," Pinkie told her.
Rainbow chuckled. "Wait, seriously?"
Rarity sighs. "Yes, it doesn't have one." Rainbow Dash laughs in response, Applejack groans in annoyance. Rarity answers the call and puts it on speakerphone. "Listen, I sincerely apologize, but I don't seem to have time-"
"I will get you back." That was Sunset's voice over the phone, and she ends the call.
The strong rain this afternoon pours down on CHS and the home team is battling with their arch-rivals; Crystal Prep Academy.
It was the last minutes of full-time, but neither boh sides score a single goal. If it carries on like this, the game will be decided by extra, and if the results are the same as of now, then the game will be decided by penalties.
Gilda chases down Indigo but the captain cross the ball high to Lemon Zest on the left wing. She kicks the ball high and goes past Fire Flare and Spitfire. She gets the ball back. And then kicks the ball to the box. Both Indigo and Sunny Flare have their eyes on the ball.
But before Indigo attempts to headbutted it to the goal, Ember does that first, and the ball falls in Gilda's direction. The midfielder looks to Derpy on the left, so taps the ball to the muffin lover. Derpy dribbled past Sugarcoat and kicks the ball high to the forwards.
Lightning Dust and Rainbow Dash are marking both Fleur de Lis and Sour Sweet. Sunset has some room to score.
"All yours Sunset!" Rainbow tells her.
Sunset nodded with a confident smile on her face. Her attention is on the ball falling from the sky.
Twist your body to the fullest. If you practice every day and night, you can get it right.
Sunset catches the ball and here comes her signature move; The Shimmer Spinner! Despite the cold of the rain, she continues spinning in a form of a mini tornado. After like ten seconds, Sunset stops and kicks the ball hard while in mid-air. The goalie was way too late to react and CHS finally breaks the deadlock.
Full-time whistle blows just as CHS takes the lead in the dying seconds. The school and their team cheered so loud as Sunset and the team celebrates their nerve wrecking earned victory. They circle around Sunset as they celebrate, complimenting her for her winning shot to end the deadlock.
"The Shimmer Spinner is the always the winner!" Rainbow exclaims and rubs Sunset's hair.
"Wouldn't be easier if you just do it more often?" Strawberry Sunrise asks her dryly.
"I thought we already discussed this," Rainbow told her. "Only Sunset can use her special as a last resort, or if she needs to. But she can't use it more than frequently. We can't let her get injured again, are we?"
"Oh indeed, not." Ember agreed as the others nodded.
Fleetfoot yawns. "I am bored with the entire game." She said tiredly. "Almost none of the Crystal Prep forwards tried to shoot past me."
"That's because our defense is impenetrable as usual," Ember replied arrogantly as she lays her around Smolder and Strawberry Sunrise's shoulders. "The Defenda Girlz!!" The three girls shouted as if the atmosphere around was more of a Rockstar theme.
The team chuckles at the defenders' signature celebration. However, they need to get warm soon since the raindrops are getting harder and harder. So the defenders immediately stopped their celebration and follows the rest of the team back into the school building.
About an hour later, the girls were gathered in the band room. Both Sunset and Dash are wearing warm hoodies with their cutie marks on the torso part. They're resting before their next class, and after class, it's detention time. Just one more week and their detention is served.
"Another tough game," Rainbow finally says. "But we did. All thanks to you, Sunset."
Sunset smiles in return. "Well, it was a team effort, after all. It's no wonder Fleetfoot got bored during the duration of the game. Just standing by the goalpost. She could sneak to the nurse's office for a nap for all we know."
Rainbow chuckles at that. "She's gonna be in big trouble once they discover her, but can we blame her for getting bored as a goalkeeper? Sometimes, she's bored with that."
"Yes, but she was expecting a challenge." Sunset reminded her. "And she only preferred to be a goalie, nothing more, nothing else."
"Good point." Rainbow agreed.
"Well, at least both of yah had a good game today." Applejack chimes in.
"It is tough, but thanks to Sunset, we pulled through." Rainbow replied to her. Sunset can't help but feel cold and she shivers.
"I was glad I don't have to be out in the rain for any longer!" Rarity exclaimed dramatically. "I look like a mess out there!" She soon calms down. "But I watched with you both until the game ends. Seeing the both of you playing well makes me forget about my worries of my looks."
Rainbow rolls her eyes. "Yeah, whatever. It works this way, Rarity. We play the game no matter what weather it was."
And next thing Sunset knew, she coughs. Enough to get the girls' attention towards her. Sunset shivers again as she sneezed as well. Rainbow Dash puts her hand on Sunset's forehead and, much to her surprise, her friend is burning up.
"Wow, Sunset, you're getting hot." Rainbow said worriedly. And then she wrap her arms around Sunset for an embrace to help her warm. She immediately turns back to the girls. "This is not what it looks like!" Rainbow denied and her face blushed.
Sunset coughs a little and looks up at her friends. "Girls, I think I got colds..." she said silently. "I think the cold from the rain got me. Now I'm sick."
Twilight puts her hand on Sunset's neck, and yes, she is burning up.
"You are burning up!" Twilight cried worriedly and then she helps her up. "Now come on, let's get you to Nurse Redheart."
They escort Sunset to the infirmary. Sunset is shivering again, and she hugs her arms to get warm. Applejack's grip on her shoulders should be enough to keep Sunset warm a little.
The girls enter the infirmary and finds Nurse Redheart tucking Fleetfoot in. Yep, Sunset's right, Fleetfoot would definitely sleep in here.
"Hello, Nurse Redheart," Twilight greeted. "Our friend here just got sick. Not too long after the game."
Redheart's smile drops. "Oh, I see." She comes forward and touch Sunset by her forehead. "Oh dear! You're burning up. Come here and rest. I have a lot of beds here."
Redheart led Sunset to one bed. She sits down on one, removes her boots and lays her back on the soft, warm bed. Fleetfoot is sleeping on the other side of the room. Redheart tucks Sunset in so she will get warm. She turns back to the girls.
"Don't worry, I will monitor your friend until the day is done," Redheart informs them. "I just need to call her parents and-" She stopped when she realize that Sunset is not from this world. "Oh, I forgot. Miss Shimmer is not born here."
"We'll take care of her ourselves," Fluttershy said.
"But how can we be sure nothing happens to Sunset while we are gone?" Rainbow hesitantly questions her.
"Rainbow Dash, we talked about this with our counterparts the other day," Twilight reminded her. "We're trying not to go crazy over this. It's time we can count on someone we can trust to look after her while we are not around." She turns back to the nurse. "Thank you again, Nurse Redheart. Although we have detention after the last class for the day."
"Just one more week and our detention shall be lifted," Rainbow groans.
"Oh, don't worry." Nurse Redheart replied. "Sunset Shimmer will be comfortable here. She just needs some sleep to pass the time. You can check on her before you leave."
The girls check on Sunset who is on the verge to fall asleep. But before she goes to sleep, her friends check up on her.
"Sunset, before we leave, is there anything you need?" Fluttershy asks her softly.
Sunset slowly gazes to Pinkie Pie. "Pinkie... I need something... to sleep with." She's getting exhausted at this point to say anything.
Then it click her head, knowing what Sunset wants. She digs her hair for the Princess Twilight Sparkle plushie and lays it next to Sunset's face. "Will this do?"
Sunset smiles, grabbing the plushie with her hand underneath the warm blankets. "Yes, this always do..." And with that, she fell into a peaceful slumber.
The girls watch as Sunset fell asleep with the plush toy beside her. She was so cute, no lie. However, though, their attention to Sunset was interrupted when they hear snoring. They turned to their right to see Fleetfoot snoring in her sleep.
"What about Fleetfoot?" Rainbow Dash pointed at the goalkeeper.
"Oh, she will have a serious word with Principal Celestia for sneaking in here for a nap," Redheart answered. "But I was kind enough to let her have her nap. But it doesn't mean I should ignore this. But anyway, it's best for you girls to get going and come back later, okay? Your friend is safe here with me."
"We trust yah, Nurse Redheart," Applejack said thankfully. "Come on, girls. Let's go."
The girls turned to leave the infirmary. Hoping to take care of Sunset once they get her home.
Few hours later, the girls are now in Sunset's home. All of them are in their pajamas with Sunset being wrapped in a warm blanket on her bed. The smell of a nice hot soup makes her stomach growling.
After several minutes, Twilight scale upstairs with a bowl of soup in her hands. And when she sits next to her, she realizes the problem; Sunset can't help herself with the soup and two; spoonfeeding her might have embarrassed her.
"Twilight," The girls snaps herself out of it when Sunset calls her. "Look, I can see you're having a bit of trouble wanting how you do this. Yes, I'm so cold and wrapped in a blanket, but if anything to make me feel better, spoonfeed me will do."
Twilight sighs in relief. She thought there is no way to keep Sunset warm with this soup. So with that, she spoonfeed her friend as Sunset suggested. Normally, Sunset should be embarrassed by this, especially that other day where Applejack spoonfed her on purpose. But it doesn't matter now when her friends are babying her for getting kidnapped for the 55th time, that time with Princess Twilight and her friends really helped them ease their paranoia a little.
Minutes passed, and Sunset is loving the taste of the soup every time Twilight spoonfeeds her. Added with small pieces of vegetables in her soup only makes it even better.
"Delicious, right?" Twilight asks her.
Sunset eagerly nodded. "More than that," she answers back with a smile on her face. "I'm getting better already."
Twilight smiled as well. "That's good to hear." She then continues to spoonfeed her.
After a while. It was time for bed. It was a good thing Principal Celestia is kind enough to let them off from detention for tomorrow morning this weekend. Of course, any of them would love to sleep with Sunset, but since she is sick, she doesn't want anyone to catch her sickness, so they understand and rather sleep in their own sleeping bags instead. While Twilight is sleeping on the couch.
But there is one tiny problem; Sunset can't sleep.
She's been sleeping a lot back in the school infirmary and now she can't sleep for the night. As much as she is comfortable underneath this warm blanket, she can't sleep. So she stood up and look down to see her friends sleeping in their own sleeping bags. She knew them for so long. Rainbow Dash is not a heavy sleeper than Applejack was. Maybe she can help.
"Pssst, Rainbow Dash." Sunset whispers to her friend down below. She keeps whispering for her name until her friend moans when her peaceful slumber is interrupted. She slowly sits up with a half tired look on her face. She gazes up to see Sunset calling her name.
Her face turns into genuine concern. "What? What is it?" She asks quietly and fly towards to the owner's bed.
"I...I can't sleep." Sunset said quietly as Rainbow sits next to her.
"You can't sleep?" Rainbow asks her concern, and she gets the nod in return.
"I've been sleeping a lot in the infirmary," Sunset told her. "And because of that, I can't sleep."
"And I get that it's something you want me to help you with?" Rainbow asks her, and again, she gets a nod in return.
"You're not the heavy sleeper than any of us, and so does Applejack," Sunset said and Rainbow just rolls her eyes. "But anyway, let's talk about this from your experience. How do you get Scootalo asleep?"
Rainbow looks back into the past of getting Scootalo asleep. "Well, I'm not so good at storytellings but I came up with the awesome story as possible that she even loved it, and wanted to hear more from it until she eventually got tired."
"Hmm, if that works, will you do the same for me?" Sunset asks her.
Rainbow smiles. "If it helps you go to sleep, I will do what I can, sweetie. Now, just lie down," she lays Sunset on her back and tucking her in. "And listen to this awesome story you ever heard in youe whole life." She clears her throat and begin; "Once a upon a time..."
......
"Wow," Sunset was awed but tries not to be so loud to disturb the other girls. "Really?"
Rainbow eagerly nodded. "Yep, and Daring Doo resorts to..."
.....
".....and they finally live an awesome ever after." Rainbow finished. She checks the time on her phone and it's already 1:00 A.M. "I've been telling you this story for almost two hours. It should work."
And yes, she's right, Sunset is yawning. "Yeah. It worked, alright." Her eyelids are finally getting tired and that's what she needs.
Rainbow Dash picks up the plush toy of her pony self and places it next to Sunset. "Am I the best mom?" she whispers to her.
Sunset smirks. "No. You're just my second favorite." She replied playfully.
"Whoever is your number one mom needs to stop being better than me," Rainbow playfully complained. "But anyway, goodnight, sweetie."
"Night, mommy Dash." So then Rainbow planted a kiss on her forehead, making Sunset fell into a deep sleep.
