As Sunlight was peacefully enjoying a well deserved rest by a sunny afternoon. Until Sunset proposed him to go visit Equestria, as she wanted to have new of her pony friends. Not wanting to let Chrysalis alone, they decide to bring her with them in Equestria. But as Sunset meet Sunlight's adoptive parent, she suddenly got the need to learn the truth about her and her brother true parents. This will bring both of them on a long adventure across Equestria, during which they will uncover little by little who were their parents and a lot about their own origins. Meanwhile, Moonlight Frost is wandering around the world, looking for new allies to recruit for his team. And at C.H.S, our 6 intrepid ass kicking girls receive the visit of someone they would never have expected.

1 day had passed since their fight against Moonlight and his team. Today, it was almost the end of the afternoon. Sunlight was laying in his bed, taking a nap and chilling. His friends, in the meantime, were at work. On the side of our villains, Moonlight was working on a device that would prevent his magic signature from being detected by Sunlight, and also protect him against Sunset’s mind powers while he was looking around the world for villains to recruit. Sombra, Stygian and Tirek were recovering from the effects of the Rainbow Laser.
“Come on, said Moonlight. Work, you dumb piece of garbage!!”
Angry and tired, he threw the device against a wall, but it instead hit Stygian, who was on his way to pick something in the fridge, in the face, knocking him on the floor.
“Ouch!!, he shouted. What is wrong with you?!”
Moonlight gave Stygian a bag of ice once this one got up. He was holding the device in his hand.
“What is that thing, by the way, he asked to Moonlight. And why did you threw it at me?”
“It’s a device i am working on, answered Moonlight. That will allow me to explore the outside without being detected by Sunlight’s magic tracking and Sunset’s mind tracking. But i can’t complete it without having to go outside this lair, which would immediately alert you know who. For your other question, you were in the wrong moment at the wrong place. I was aiming for the wall, not you.”
“So, what are you going to do?” he asked.
“If only i could send Sunlight and his sister out of the picture for some times, answered Moonlight. It would give me plently of time to look for new allies to recruit to our team.”
“Hum, said Stygian. If that can help you, i read an article a few weeks ago about instances of a duo of now fallen magicians, the cause of their fall was supposedly due to them using their tricks to rob a bank and having a huge criminal record. They were also suspected by many of their fans of using dark magic.”
Stygian took a computer on the desk and looked for the article on the internet. He then showed it to Moonlight.
“Any idea of where they might be?” he asked to Stygian.
“Probably on the lose, answered the young man. They were imprisoned multiple times but always managed to break out.”
“That’s great, but we will need more, said Moonlight. Hum...”
Moonlight Frost looked in the memories belonging to his nemesis. He remembered about Sunset talking to Sunlight about the Dazzlings and how they tried to take over C.H.S using their hypnotic voices. He took the laptop and looked for informations about the Dazzlings. Meanwhile, Sunlight decided to give a visit to Wallflower Blush. She was in a park, sat on a bench, reading a novel.
“Hi, Flo” said Sunlight.
She didn’t seem to notice him, too absorbed in her novel. Sunlight grabbed the book and pulled it in the air.
“Hey!! Give it back!! She said. Oh, it’s you...Why are you here?”
“Well, my sister is at work, and my other friends are also at work, he answered. And i was feeling bored laying on my bed, so i thought i would pay you a visit.”
“First, give me my novel!” she said.
Sunlight looked at the title.
“Hum, i didn’t know you were into horror novels” he said.
“Didn’t i told you when we dated?” she asked.
“Hum...Probably, he answered. But i can’t remember. I was not quite myself during this period.”
“Hum, well, if you really want to pass time with me, she said. Maybe we can take a walk in the woods.”
“Just a walk? Asked Sunlight. I was thinking about going to an ice cream store or the cinema...”
“There is no good movie, she said. Why don’t we get ice cream, and lick it while walking in the woods?”
“Since when are you so confident, asked Sunlight. When we used to date, you always let me choose our activities.”
“Well, I guess i changed since that” she said.
Sunlight grabbed her hand and brought her to an ice cream store.
“Shit, said Sunlight...I just remember i hate ice cream”
“So why did you propose it?” asked Wallflower.
“This is the first thing that came to my mind..., answered Sunlight. Anyway, i will pay for your ice cream...”
“That’s nice, said Wallflower, but i can buy it myself.”
“That was not a question, said Sunlight. I insist. I’m a millionaire, what’s 5 dollars to me?”
“Well, if you insist, okay, then, said Wallflower. I will have a strawberry ice cream cone.”
After Sunlight paid for the ice cream, He teleported her at the entrance of the Everfree Forest. They walked for 1 hour or 2, Wallflower observing the nature and Sunlight showing off his nature magic skills to impress her. They finally left the forest and Sunlight brought her back to her house.
“That was a great moment, she said to him. I hope you’ll invite me again. Have a nice evening!”
“You too, said the hero. Bye!!”
Sunlight left her in front of her house and this one entered in. Sunset had finished working and was driving her way home. She saw Sunlight walking peacefully and stopped near him.
“Do you want a lift? She asked. I am just kidding, of course, you don’t need a lift, you can teleport instantly to your room. Well, i am going home, see you later!!”
She left. Sunlight continued to walk like nothing happened. He arrived in his room soon and sat on his bed. He suddenly had a thought about his adoptive parents.
“You know, what, he thought. I think it’s time to pay them a visit. And i’ll bring Sunset with me, since i am sure she would be happy to see her friend Starlight and the Princess Twilight.”
He got off his bed and left his room, heading for Sunset’s one. He knocked at her door and she opened, a towel around her body.
“Oh, it’s you, i thought it was the Pizza guy...” she said, trying to be funny.
“Ugh, said Sunlight, disgusted by the innuendo. Don’t say those kind of jokes...especially to me.”
“Oh, come on, she said. I was kidding...But anyway, why are you here for? Do you want to ask me something or pass the evening with me?”
“Tomorrow, i am going to Equestria to see my adoptive family, he said. And i thought you would be interested coming with me...”
“Of course, said Sunset. Do you have any girl clothes i can borrow? Mine are in the washing machine, thus why i am wearing this towel.”
“Give me a sec” said Sunlight.
He teleported back to his room, grabbed spare women clothes and underwears and came back to Sunset. She grabbed the clothes and shuted the door. She reopened it a few minutes later, fully dressed.
“Thank you, she said. When do you want us to leave?”
“Tommorow, answered Sunlight. In the morning. Let’s first tell our friends about it. And also the school.”
“Okay, she said. I am sending them a text message right now. What excuse should we use for the school, though?”
"I'll tell the Principal that Princess Twilight require both our help on a special mission, he said. And that it might take a few weeks. Anyway, there is no important test or exams this month, so we should be good"
Sunlight texted the Principal and then his friends. When that was done, he left the room.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, Sis, said Sunlight. Be sure to get a good sleep”
“Yeah, she said. Don’t worry.”
The next day, Sunlight was standing close of C.H.S’ magic portal, Cinder, his pet, hanging on his head. He was waiting for Sunset to show up. She finally arrived after half an hour.
“I am sorry to be so late!! Said Sunset. I was hungry and...”
“Whatever” said Sunlight, grabbing her by the right arm as he passed through the portal.
The two siblings landed on their 4 hooves on the other side. Starlight was her to welcome them, assisted by Trixie.
“Before you ask, she said. Discord told me of your visit. So, what brings the two of you back?”
“We are here to seek answers about our origins, answered Sunset. I want to discover who my real parents, i mean, me and Sunlight’s real parents were.”
“I also intended on paying a visit to my adoptive parents, Amber, Smolder and her friends and Zecora” said Sunlight
“Zecora?” asked Sunset.
“A zebra whose specialty is to make magic potions and elixirs using variety of natural ingredients, and each one with unique effects, An alchemist, in short” answered Starlight.
“Remember when i got that fiery magic flu, Sunset?” said Sunlight.
“I do, she said. How could i forgot. You almost burned down the building.”
“Zecora cured me of it with with one of her mixtures, he said. We talked a lot and i discovered we share many points in common. I also do like the way she make her sentences rhymes.”
Sunset was looking at Trixie.
“Why is she looking at me like that?” she asked to the ear of Starlight.
“Starlight probably told you that you have an alternate version of yourself on the other side of this portal, said Sunlight. Well, My sister and that other you are pretty close friends.”
“I see” said Trixie.
“And she’s a very good friend of mine” said Starlight.
“Have fun, you 3, said Sunlight. I have my own business to attend.”
“Tell me, Sunset, said Trixie. What does the other me look like? What does she do?”
“Well, said Sunset. She have a big ego, is a bit self-centered and love attention. For what she does, she is a self-proclaimed magician/Illusionist, at the difference she have no magic. She also dated Sunlight for a while...”
“I am sorry, what?! Asked Trixie. You mean that the other me from your world dated...a guy, and a sexy one of that?! How did that happen? And how did it ended? Does that mean I have a chance at him?”
“He kinda turned the page, said Sunset. Him and her are just friends, now. Well, for now...Feel free to try, thought”
“So, let’s give a visit to Twilight, said Starlight. And after that, let’s have fun!!”
Meanwhile on the side of Moonlight, he was turning thumbs, looking for a way to leave his base without being immediately traced by his nemesis. Sombra suddenly broke into his room, a smile on his face.
“I hope you have a good reason to break into my room without warning” said Frost.
Sunlight Blaze and Sunset Shimmer were discussing with Princess Twilight for a while.
“So, if i resume what you told me, she said. You two want to discover the identity of your real parent but you don’t know where to begin...I bet Celestia might know something about this subject. Now, if you excuse me, my royal duties await me, Spike! Do you have the list of my duties for the day?”
“Of course!!” answered the dragon.
“I had fun talking with you 2, said Twilight. Do you plan on returning to Equestria one day?”
“Probably” answered Sunset.
“I don’t think i will” answered Sunlight.
“Well, whatever, said Sunset, Can you told us were we can find Celestia?”
“Spike?” asked Twilight.
“Right on!! He answered. You’ll find them at Silver Shores, Here is her adress and location”
“The retirement place? Asked Sunlight. Great, well, we better leave soon if we want to make it before noon”
They where about to leave Canterlot, but Sunlight decided to make a detour to his adoptive parents home.
“Before we go, said Sunlight. I want at least to present you to those who raised me and made me what i am today.”
“Are you sure? She asked. I...We should probably get on the train before...”
“The train won’t leave before 45 minutes, answered Sunlight. Beside, i didn’t saw them in a while either.”
Sunlight knocked at the door.
“Mom, Dad, it’s me!!” he said.
A mare opened the door.
“Sunlight!! Said the mare. What a nice surprise!! Honey!! Our son is here!!”
“Son!! Said his Father, what an agreable surprise to see you!! Oh, and who is the cute mare with you? Is she your girlfriend?”
“Uh...Y..., said Sunset, looking for an exit.
Sunlight shove his hoof in her mouth.
“I wish she was my girlfriend, but no, said Sunlight. Mom, Dad, Meet my Sister, Sunset Shimmer”
“So, you are our son sister!!! Said the mare. Now that i look at you two, you really look alike.”
“Please enter, said the stallion. We were waiting for our son to visit us, but we were not expecting him to bring the Sister he talked so much about in his letters.”
“So, i do believe you were raised, like Sunlight, by a noble family of Canterlot, am i right?” said Sunlight’s mother.
“Yes, But i wasn’t so lucky with the parents i had, said Sunset. They were strict and cold toward me if i didn’t have good notes in classes. They only cared for me when i was performing great academically. They were putting ton of pressure on me, and that turned me sour and impatient. When Celestia took me as a pupil, my parents pressured me even more, forcing me to priorize my grades over bounding with others. I wanted to please to both my parents and Celestia, but the stress was too high. This is why i tried to shortcut my way to the throne, and that led me banished in another world, angry, sour and mentally instable. But despite all of this, i finally turned out great.”
“This is quite a troubling childhood you had, said Sunlight’s father. I am sorry you were put that much pressure on by your family.”
“Sunlight talked a lot about you, said Sunset. I would have loved to have you like parents. Maybe my life would have been different, maybe i would have been different...”
“If i knew, i would have swapped my place with yours” said Sunlight.
“I know, said Sunset, faintly smiling. But this is a part of my past i don’t want to talk about too much.”
“So, what brings you back in Equestria?” asked the father of Sunlight.
“Well, i want to uncover the truth about our birth parents” said Sunlight.
The two ponies stood silent for a short moment, looking at each other.
“We knew this day would come, said the mother. I have something i have to give you, in this case.”
She left the room and came back a few minutes later with a letter.
“This letter was left in the basket we found you in, Sunlight.” She said.
Sunlight took the letter and immediately started reading it.
“Dear son, said Sunlight, reading the letter out loud. If you read this letter, you must have grown into a great looking stallion. I believe you probably found the existence of your half-sister, Sunset Shimmer. Yes, You had the same mom but a different dad. You’ll probably wonder why i and your mother abandonned you. I left on the other side of this letter one of the 2 part of a map that will lead you on the traces of your mother. If she is still alive, she will give you more informations about the answers you seek. Sunset’s father also left a letter in her basket, it contain the second part of the map”
Sunlight looked behind the letter and used his magic to reveal a weird map that seemed incomplete.
“Sis, i think it’s time for you to face your parents, said Sunlight. If your father left a letter in your basket, that mean your adoptive parents have it.”
“Oh dear, said Sunset. Do i really need too? I don’t want to meet them after the way they treated me.”
“I understand, said Sunlight. But we absolutely need the second letter. Plus, i will be at your sides if you want”
Sunlight’s parent left him a couple of homemade lunches for the adventure. They walked to the house of Sunset’s parents.
“I can do it, she said. I will get in there, told them what i think about them and get the fucking letter.”
She knocked at the door. An old-looking stallion opened the door.
“Yes, to who i have the honor?” asked the stallion.
“Your daughter, said Sunset. Adoptive daughter, you know, the one you abused and mistreated during her young years.”
“Sun...Sunset? Said the stallion. I....I....Never thought i would see you again, after your sudden disappearance a couple of years ago”
“I would have preferred not to come back to you, she said. If i am here, this is because i believe you have a letter destined to my intention. The letter that was in my basket when you found me as a baby.”
“I do have it, he said. But i won’t give it to you.”
“I don’t need your permission, said Sunset. By the way, where is your wife?”
“She...She is...She is gone” said her father.
“Oh... Said Sunset, feeling bad for him. I...I’m sorry...How did she...?”
“Oh no no, said her adoptive father, By gone, i mean that she divorced me. She couldn’t cope with your disappearance and accused me of being the cause of it. To be honest, our relation was far from great, but that terrible event was the cherry on the cake, the drop that brought her over the edge. During all those years, there was never a day in which i regret treating you like garbage, Yes, i admit, i was the worst father figure. But i’ve changed since.”
Sunset used her magic to read her adoptive father’s memories. She saw him and his wife break up, then saw him having a mental breakdown, him trying to end his life, crying a lot. Then she saw him take control of his life and do everything he could to be a better person.
“I am sorry, Sunny, he said. I...Should have been more supportive, kinder to you. I was so obsessed with the idea of you becoming a princess that i put a lot of pression on you. I should have taught you to make friends instead of teaching you to focus on your academic score. If i didn’t messed up so bad to raise you, perhaps things would have been different for you...”
He told her and Sunlight to wait a moment. Her father quickly came back with a letter.
“Take it, he said. I know you won’t forgive me for what i did right now, but at least i told you what i had on the heart. I’ll be waiting t’ill your ready to do so. For now, i will let you go seek the answers you are looking for. Good luck and take care of yourself.”
Sunset took the letter and smiled at her father.
“Thank you, she said. You really changed. Well, take care of yourself, dad.”
He smiled and shut the door. Sunset tore up the letter and read it.
“What did it said?” asked Sunlight.
“The same thing as the other one, she answered. Except for a few words.”
Sunlight took the two letters and flipped them backward. He combined the two parts of the map and saw a black dot circled in red.
“That dot circled in red is where we have to go, said Sunlight. Buckle up, Sis, we are going for Kludgetown.”
“Are we taking the train?” asked Sunset.
“The train? Asked Sunlight. Don’t be ridiculous. Ever tried the air?”
“No, you don’t mean...” she said.
They are later both on bord of an hot air ballon that Sunlight borrowed.
“Hum, you intend to bring the balloon back where you stole it, right?” asked Sunset.
“Borrowed, answered her brother. I will give it back, i swear, well, i’ll try. If not, i will pay back the owner.”
While they were flying to their destination, Moonlight was outside his base, smiling devilishly.
“What a lucky day for me, he said. I hope the crew doesn’t screw up things while i’m gone. Time to look for new members to add to the team...”
He looked at the photos of the potential recruits and stopped his eyes on the pictures of Aria Blaze, Sonata Dusk and Adagio Dazzle.
Sunlight and Sunset were arrived at Kludgetown. They were surprised by the dark and smelly aspect of the place.
“Are you sure this is the location shown on the map? Asked Sunset. Because i don’t think we will find anything in this slum.”
“Let me check, he answered...Hum...Oh...What an idiot i am!!”
“What do you mean? Said Sunset. No, don’t tell me...”
“I superposed the two letters incorrectly, he said. Sorry...He he he...The dot is in the center of an island at the east of this town. But going there in a hot air ballon is not a good idea, we will need a ship to get there. And it so happen that Kludgetown is the home of a ship port.”

“I can defend myself, you know, she said. But i am touched to see you being so protective of me. If you were not my brother, you’ll be the perfect boyfriend for a girl like me.”
“Trust me, you wouldn’t like to have me as a boyfriend, he said. You would hate me really quickly. Make me think, are not true siblings supposed to hate each other?”
“Well, give me a reason to hate you.” she said.
“Uh...Fair point, he said. You can’t hate me if you have nothing to reproach me. Surprise attack!!!”
He threw sand in her eyes.
“You son of a bitch, she said, angry. Why did you do that, you fucking bastard!!!? I hate you so much, right now!!”
“Now, that’s the attitude” he said.
“Go fuck yourself, she said, cleaning her eyes. I swear i will get back at you for this.”
“I hope so, he said. Wouldn’t be fun if hate didn’t go in two ways. Oh, i see the port, let’s go.”
Sunset finished cleaning the dirt in her eyes and grunted.
“Hurry up, Sunset, he said. Don’t let me leave you there, you wouldn’t survive one day without me there.”
“I’m coming” she said.
She arrived beside him.
“Why are you treating me like that, she asked. I didn’t do anything wrong to you”
“Exactly, he said. You didn’t nothing bad to me. There is no love without hate, you know”
“I am sure we will probably have an argument at some point in the future and hate you afterward .she said. This is inevitable, But you can’t force me to hate you by bullying me...That make me sad”
“You are right, he said. I’m sorry...”
“Let’s just get on board of a boat and leave already” she said.
“Hum, i couldn’t help myself but peak on your conversation or earlier” said a smooth voice.
“What a surprise, said Sunlight. I expected nothing less from a town famous for it’s criminal activities. Who are you, speak or I am going to make you see the stars.”
“Woah, relax, said the individual, revealing himself. I am here to help you, you are friends of the Princess Twilight, right?”
“Yes, answered Sunset. Why asking?”
“Capper is my name, charming is my game, said Capper. I am one of Rarity’s friends. I was with her and her friends when we saved Canterlot from the Storm King. I am a big fan of adventures, and to be honest, i am kinda bored at the moment. Can i go with you?”
“Promise you won’t steal anything from me, said Sunlight. I recognize a thief when i see one. Keep your hands to yourself and i won’t throw you overboard.”
“Nice to meet you, Mr. Capper, said Sunset. My name is Sunset Shimmer and the rude unicorn on my left is my brother, Sunlight Blaze. Forgive him for his rude attitude, he doesn’t like criminals a lot.”
“Well, i don’t expect everypony to be as nice as you and Twilight’s friends, he said. I know a group of friends that would be daring to go on adventures with you.”
“I don’t refuse company, said Sunlight. Just tell me your group of friends are not from this town”
“They are not, answered Capper. I don’t have friends in this town, anyway. I think i see their ship right over there. You are lucky.”
“I like him” said Sunset.
“Not me, said Sunlight. This guy reeks of cunning and devious intentions. And he knows it, worst of all, he doesn’t try to change that.”
“Well, he is okay with who he is, she said. I am okay with who i am now, what about you?”
“If i double cross us of play us, i am leaving his corpse in the bottom of a sea.” he said.
“Why are you acting like such a jerk, she said. You are nice to Wallflower, even if she tried to erase everyones memories of the good me. Or Vignette, who trapped us inside her phone and tried to kill a bunch of people. If Capper did contributed to save Equestria, then he is a hero. Wait, you’re not trying to make me hate you, don’t you?”
“No..., he said. That’s ridiculous. Why would i do that?”
She stared him in the eyes with a frown.
“Well, i think we should go!!! He said. An epic adventure await us!!”
Sunset looked at him walking away.
“Why are you doing this, she thought to herself. I few moments ago, you were protecting me. Then you throw sand in my eyes and act like a jerk to me and others. Why? Is something bothering you? I need to know why he is being mean”
She joined him near the ship. Capper was talking to a tall and elegant humanoid green bird.
“There they are, said Capper, guys, let me present you to Celeano, she is a Pirate captain. Adventures are her specialty.”
“So i heard you two were going on a big adventure” she said.
“What do you have to gain from coming with us, asked Sunlight. We are on an adventure to find who our parents were and their secrets.”
“There will probably have a couple of treasure on the way, said Celeano. Tell me, young pony, did you ever envisaged to become a pirate?”
“What kind of Pirates are you, asked Sunlight. Are you the criminal type or the adventurer type?”
“Oh, we are not criminals, said Celeano. We don’t do crimes, Technically speaking, at least. We never steal from someone who doesn’t deserve it. We are the Defenders of the Sky, the Wings of Justice, The adventurers of the clouds!!”
“Her, I like her” said Sunlight.
“Of course, you do...” said Sunset.
“He’s a total simp, isn’t he?” asked Capper to Sunset.
“Only to ex bad girls, she answered. I am sure the reason he doesn’t simp over me is because i am his sister. Otherwise, he would stick to me like a fly on a stool.”
“Hum, i can’t help but notice you are bothered, said Capper. What is bothering you?”
“You noticed, uh? Well, Sunlight is acting weird to me since a couple of hours. Habitually, he is always soft and nice to me, and to others. I can’t help but think he want me to hate him, but i don’t know why. Why does he want me to hate him so much, i would read his mind, but he is blocking me...”
“Why don’t you play his game? Asked Capper, if he want you to hate him so bad, why don’t you just give him what he is asking for?”
“Are you sure? She asked. Now that i think about it, that make sense. Perhaps if i am being mean to him, he’ll treat me nicely...And turns out i have experience being mean.”
The group came on board of the ship. Sunlight was wearing a pirate hat and an eyepatch.
“You’ll definitively make a good pirate, said Celeano. You have potential, kid”
“You think? He said. I am glad to hear it.”
“Yep, he’s definitively simping for her.” thought Sunset.
Meanwhile, in the human world. Adagio, Aria and Sonata were eating at a food truck.
“So, what do we do, asked Adagio. Our next concert is in 6 month, and we practised enough.”
“I have no idea, said Aria. We focused so much on music the last couple of years that we completely forgot to do other activities.”
“Why don’t we go on vacations? Asked Sonata, Hot beaches are all the trend right now.”
“We traveled enough those last months, said Aria Blaze. I am sick of planes.”
“Maybe we could start a Mexicain food truck?” asked Sonata, excited at the idea of selling tacos (and eating them)
“Maybe i can help you with that” said someone.
“Really, asked Sonata. You have a food truck we could borrow?”
A shadow mist showed up and took the form of Moonlight Frost.
“Not with that, said Moonlight. I overheard that you 3 had nothing going on at the moment. I heard that you have experience with being villains.”
“This is behind us, said Adagio, Sunset and her friends kicked our asses and humiliated us. We obviously contemplated revenge the first times, but we would only got our asses kicked again. So, we moved on and restarted our carrier honestly, well, as much as possible.”

I can give you a chance at getting back at Sunset, steal her spotlight, humiliate her like she humiliated us. I know deep inside you, you feel hatred and spite toward her.”
“No, said Adagio. I’ve changed, We have changed. I am not ruining our carriers for nothing.”
“Join me and my crew, we have free tacos” he said.
“Sign me in!!” said Sonata.
“Ugh...Said Aria. What are those new powers you were speaking of?”
“I can help you and your voices reach their full potential. Those Necklaces are made from pure shadow crystals. They will give you wicked powers...Only if you accept to join me, of course...”
“Maybe if you showed us what meant by wicked powers, we would consider it” said Aria.
Moonlight gave to her one of the necklace. She put it around her neck and immediately felt in her a dark, powerful energy flowing through her veins. She started singing and a powerful supersonic wave pulverized a nearby statue.
“This is the kind of power i can offer you, he said. You can all have this ability, plus one of your own.”
“I don’t know...” said Adagio.
Moonlight lifted her chin upwards and looked at her in the eyes. His lips at only a few millimeters of hers.
“You really think you can be a good person? Asked Moonlight. You worth so much more than that, darling. You are a queen, and you should be treated as one. You are a bad person, don’t deny, accept who you are, you are a Siren, a force of nature feared by many. Not some goody-two-shoes popstar.”
Adagio was incapable of turning her eyes away...
“I can’t resist to those eyes, she thought. He is so handsome, i don’t know why, but i want to follow him, to be his queen...He is a bit edgy, but he have charm.”
Moonlight tackled her to a tree and kissed her.
“Hey, i want one too!!” said Sonata.
“No!! Said Adagio. He is mine, find your own man to kiss!!”
“Perfect, thought Moonlight. I have Sonata’s stomach, Aria’s brain and finally Adagio’s heart.”
He gave them the necklaces.
“Now, follow me, he said. A long trip await us, darlings.”
The three girls looked at each other with a devilish smile and followed him.
Sunlight, Sunset and the rest of the crew were navigating for a few hours now. While Capper was taking a nap and the pirates were doing pirate things, Sunlight was having a rather interesting conversation with Celeano, He was even wearing an eyepatch and a pirate hat. Sunset was looking at them with boredom.
“I can do it, she thought. I can be mean to him. Just walk past him and say something mean-spirited, it’s not hard...”
She walked in direction of Sunlight.
“Being as powerful as i am, he said. It is hard to find someone of my caliber.”
“Are you not being a little full of yourself?” asked Celeano.
“I never lost a fight in my life” said Sunlight.
“That’s a lie, my dear, said Sunset. Didn’t you got the shit beaten out of you during your fight with Sombra? I can remember him beating the hell out of you. You only survived because Moonlight called him back.”
“He was cheating, said Sunlight. He used magic crystals to cancel my magic powers.”
“Yes, but even without that awesome mecha-armor of yours, you were still powerless, she said with a snarky smile. And remember who ended up saving the dream dimension? That’s right, it was me.”
“Wow, you really saved a whole dimension by yourself? Asked Captain Cealano. That’s impressive. Your sister is really interesting, Blaze.”
“I had the help of my friends, she said. I will admit, without them, i would not be the girl i became today. Not like a certain jerk of my knowledge. I even beat his edgy evil alter ego by myself...Thing he couldn’t do himself.”
“What is she doing, thought Sunlight. She is trying to ridiculize me in front of her. Habitually, she would tell how great i am...Why that change of attitude from her. It’s like she said that from pure hate of my person. I didn’t think she would be able to hate me, i must continue...”
“That Jerk saved your life on more than one occasion, said Sunlight. I can remember hearing you say how awesome, beautiful, powerful and great i am. I swear, if i was not her brother, that girl would literally be at my feet, begging for me to notice her.”
“Not anymore, she said. You want me to hate you? Then i will hate you so much that you will beg me to like you again, crying like a baby. I didn’t thought i would have to be a big meanie again, but for the sake of teaching you a lesson, dipshit, i will! The war has begun and i will obliterate your spirit.”
“You’re dreaming, said Sunlight. I can take anything hateful you might do to me, my self-esteem is unbreakable.”
“We’ll see about that, she said. By the way, I prefer Capper to you.”
“At least, he is well-mannered. Said Sunset. And i am going to join him right now...Have fun simping on the Captain.”
Celeano looked at Sunlight and saw that he was smiling.
“You seem rather calm and happy for someone who got roasted by his sister, she said. Shouldn’t you be a least a bit bothered or sad?”
“She thinks to highly of me, said Sunlight. I want to change it.”
“Why, asked Celeano. Why is that a problem?”
“Because the higher she is looking up to me, he answered. The harder it will be for her if i end up deceiving her. I am not stupid, i will deceive her sooner or later, and if she keep thinking so high of myself and looking up to me the way she does, and that i end up doing something that will deceive her image of me, she will suffer a lot.”
“Why don’t you just tell her the problem? Asked Celeano. By doing what you’re doing, you two will hurt each other more than you’d expect. I understand that if she doesn’t think high of you and you fail, she will not be as mad at you. But there is other ways to do so.”
“Because she won’t listen, he said. She is as stubborn as i am. Althought it would be easier to tell her not to think this high of me, it would be useless.”
Sunset was covering her mouth, having listened the conversation.
“So, that’s why you’re doing this, she said to herself. That’s why you’re treating me like dirt. And he is not wrong. I do idolize him a lot, and he know that he’ll end up screw things up. This is why he want me to start hating him. He does all of this for me, to protect me from my negative emotions. In this case, i have to have a talk with him”
“Hum, said Celeano, night is about to begin, mind taking the wheel for the night, Blaze?”
“No problem, Captain, he answered. I got this!!”
She walked to her quarters. Once she was gone, Sunset teleported near him.
“Sunlight, she said. Can i talk to you about something?”
He turned his head toward her and looked in her eyes. He immediately knew that spark in her eyes and knew what was coming.
“You heard what i said to the captain, didn’t you?” he asked.
“Yes, she answered. And your might be right. I do admire you a lot, and i realize that the more you idolize someone, the angrier at him you’ll be when he’ll end up disappointing you.”
Sunlight sighted and shuted his eyes down.
“You must look things in face, he said. Never look up to your heroes, they’ll always end up disappointing you.”
“I don’t admire you because you are a hero, she said. I am one too, you know, like all my friends. You could be a normal, powerless person and i would still admire you!! It is normal for someone to love their family, to support them. I am not looking up to you because you are a superhero, i am looking up to you because you are my brother. You failed at being a hero once when Sombra defeated you, but did i stop looking up to you?”
“No, said Sunlight. But still, either as a hero or a brother, i’ll end up disappointing you anyway. And when it happen, i don’t want you to be broken at a point of no-return. By making you hate me, i thought it would be easier for you to turn the page and get on your feet. I couldn’t support you being heartbroken because of my actions, this is why i came up with this plan.”
Sunset hugged him. Sunlight was surprised.
“Those things happen, she said. I know you are afraid of losing my love because of a mistake you’ll end up inevitably making. But you know i will find the power to forgive you. There can be love without hate, there is no perfect relationship. So just be who you are, and if you lose my trust, then work hard to gain it back...If i lost your trust, i would do anything to gain it back...”
Sunlight laughed.
“I hate it when you are right, he said. That was stupid of me to think that i could make you willingly hate me. You know what, you’re right. I should not worry about that. You should go to bed, don’t worry for me.”
“Look at the sunset, she said. Isn’t it beautiful?”
“Sunset looking at the sunset, said Sunlight. Pretty ironic. But it is not as beautiful as the one on my sides.”
Sunset blushed and looked away.
“Stop being so embarrassed, he said. I was just trying to make you feel happier. You always blush when i compliment you, are you admiring me that much to the point of being red when i said nice things to you?”
“May...Maybe, she said. I mean, you are rarely complimenting girls, and i am one of the rare you compliment. Of course i feel embarrassed. I feel like i’m special...I know, it’s ridiculous...”
“I would understand, after all, everyone hated you for 4 years straight. I would understand that all this attention and niceness is new to you. But you’ll get used to it.”
“I just feel like i don’t deserve being complimented, she said. Not after how bad i treated the other for 3 years. “Are you saying that you would you feel more at ease if i was insulting you instead? Asked Sunlight, with a narky smile. You just have to ask...I got a long list of insults for you and your friends.”
“What? Said Sunset, shocked and pissed. You have what!?”
“Uh...Did i said that out loud? He said with an embarrassed laugh. If it can confort you, my list on you is the shortest of the bunch. Don’t be so mad, i am sure you have a list of insult concerning me. To come back to what you were saying, you deserve the compliments others, including me, makes to you. You are a beautiful person with a beautiful personality, well, except when you are playing video games...”
“I sometimes think the sole reason for why you care so much about me is because i am your sister, said Sunset. I know, i shouldn’t be thinking that. But i need to know, Sunlight. Do you only love me because i am your sister?”
“Being family sure play a big part in the love i have for you, i won’t lie, said Sunlight. But your personality is also a big reason why i like you so much. If you were not related to me, i would definitively make you my girlfriend, not gonna lie.”
“Really? Asked Sunset. So, you think weither we were related by blood, or not, you would care for me?”
“Definitively, i admit i have a thing for ex-bad girls” said Sunlight.
“So, this explain why you dated Trixie, Wallflower Blush, Vignette Valencia and Gloriosa Daisy...” She said.
“So, it’s becoming late, said Sunlight. We should probably get in our cabins and sleep.”
“Yeah, you’re right, said Sunset. Well, i’ll see you tomorrow, good night!”
She disappeared in her cabin by teleportation. Sunlight looked at the sun setting down and smiled.
“I’ll promise i’ll always be there for you, sis, thought Sunlight. As long as i live, i’ll protect you from any danger...If you die, i’ll never forgive myself.”
Meanwhile, in the human world, Moonlight was entering a bar in the hope of finding the 2 person he was looking for. Turn out that the two brothers in question were none other than Flim and Flam themselves.
“Wait, asked Moonlight, you are the two magicians my intel told me about? I thought you were shopkeepers.”
“Tadahhh, said Flim. Before you ask, it all began when me and my brother were looking for new valuables to sell to the highest price to guillable customers.”
“We were exploring the municipal garbage station, said Flam. Don’t judge us, you can find unexpected treasures in those giant dumps. While we were looking for technology...”
“I stumped on a book that was radiating of dark aura, said Flim. I immediately warned my dear brother. Turn out that book was in fact magic.”
“And full of dark spells, said Flam. We immediately had the idea to use it to make money. Most of the spells in the books were about magic illusions and summoning.”
“Things were going very well, said Flim. We made lot of money with our shows. But things got messy.”
“We got cocky, said Flam, And we paid the price...We used a spell that we were unable to control. The theatre was completely destroyed and hundreds of people were seriously injured...After that, we sold our shop in Canterlot and left town presto, in fear of retaliation from authorities or secret agencies or haters.”
“Do you still have that book?” asked Moonlight.
“No, we destroyed it, answered Flim. That book ruined our reputation and our lives.”
“Have you ever thought about a villain career? Asked Moonlight. You have nothing to lose, after all.”
“You mean, doing crime? Said Flam. No, never. But now, i admit that turning to crime is really tempting.”
“What kind of crime are we talking about? Asked Flim. Robbery? Murder? Illegal Traffic?”
“Causing destruction, mayhem, chaos and wreck havoc, answered Moonlight. Our sole purpose is to ruin the life of Sunlight, Sunset, and her annoying friends and i believe the 2 of you would make a nice addition to my team. Yes, that include that pesky Applejack. And that come with cool powers.”
“What kind of powers are we talking about?” asked Flam.
“Dark magic, answered Moonlight. The power of bending the fabric of reality and the laws of physics like they were made of paper. All you need to do is get rid of the good and let evil flow in your heart.”
The two brothers looked at each other and smiled devilishly, then looked back at Moonlight.
“We’re in” said both of them at the same time.
“Perfect...” said Moonlight, smiling devilishly as well.
The ship had landed near the island who was supposed to hold the first piece of the mystery.
“My crew, said Celeano, Take care of the ship while i am gone, okay?”
“Aye Aye, Captain!!” said the pirates all at once.
“What are we waiting for? Asked Sunlight. If you are ready, let’s go then.”
The 4 creatures started exploring the island.
“That place is beautiful, said Sunset. Look at all the vegetation!!!”
“I have to admit, said Sunlight. This island indeed look nice. But we are not here for tourism...”
“Bummer, said Sunset. Wait, do we at least know what we are supposed to find?”
“Of course!! Answered Sunlight. We are looking for...for...”
“You don’t know what to look for, don’t you?” Said Capper.
Sunlight used his power of the earth to sense if there was not any inhabitual constructs on the big island.
“What is he doing?” asked Celeano.
“My brother is a magic caster, an Elemental magic caster, answered Sunset. He must be using his power over the earth to search for any unusual constructions.”
“There is an underground temple at the East, approximatively 3 kilometers from our location, said Sunlight. Let’s go!”
“Impressive, said Celeano. Simple curiosity, could you also use this power of yours to locate, by example, large amount of gold or precious gemstones hidden in the ground?”
“Yes, answered Sunlight. By the way, i sensed a treasure on this island, a pretty large one. It is located at appromatively 5 kilometers at the North of your location.”
Sunlight turned in their direction and saw that Capper and her were already gone.
“That should keep them distracted for a while, he said. Let’s go, sis.”
“Right, she said. I’ll be right behind you!”
They walked for sometime before Sunlight stopped Sunset.
“We are arrived” said Sunlight.
“But, there is nothing there!” said Sunset.
Sunlight used his earth magic and revealed a hallway leading to the underground temple, under the impressed look of Sunset.
“Let’s go” said Sunlight, making a ball of light with his horn.
They entered the hallway and Sunlight opened the door leading who revealed a tunnel. After wandering for a couple of minutes, the duo were arrived at the entrance of the temple.
Meanwhile, in the human world, at the Headquarter of the Shadow Legion, Sombra and tirek were playing video games.
“Hum, have you noticed Stygian had been acting kinda...Strange, today?” asked Sombra to Tirek. He seems, like, preoccupied.”
“Not that you’re bringing this, he answered, i told him one of my famous jokes earlier and didn’t even smile. My jokes usually get a laugh out of him, or at least a chuckle.”
“Let’s go to his room, said Sombra. He might be in his books”
The two of them arrived in front of his chamber and saw a message on the door. Tirek took it and started reading it.
“I’m, sorry, guys, said Stygian in his letter. I know you probably noticed my strange behavior those last couple of days. The truth is that i started regretting my choice of joining this team. I am not a bad person and i don’t want to ruin my life figthing a bunch of people that did nothing wrong to me. Don’t worry, i won’t join their side neither. I just want to live a normal life. I had fun with you two, but the live of supervillain is not for me. I wish you good luck, guys, your nerdy friend, Stygian.”
“I see, said Sombra. Farewell, my friend, might you be lucky as well.”
“Do you also think about leaving the team, Sombra?” asked Tirek
“To be honest, i kinda like being a villain, he answered. But i also think we should live a normal life too. Sunlight and his friends have a life outside of the superhero work, so why not us?”
“What kind of work are you thinking about?” asked Tirek
“I heard that C.H.S was looking for a new sport teacher and a new art teacher, he answered. I think we should postulate for those posts”
“There is a problem, thought, said Tirek. All the town probably know who we are by now, we won’t be able to pass unseen once we go in public.”
“Just you, said Sombra. Me and Stygian were smart enough to fight them away from the crowd. But still, i think nobody will recognize you if you, hum, muscled down a little. After all, people have only seen you in your jacked up form.”
“Should we tell Moonlight?” asked Triek.
“Later” answered Sombra.
“Okay, maybe the students won’t recognize us, said Tirek. But what about the girls we fought?”
“What will they do about it anyway? Said Sombra. The answer is nothing. They have no authority at the school.”
“Right, said Tirek. But by now, those girls should have already graduated from high school, so why are they still students is strange to me”
“It’s obvious, said Sombra. It’s called the Status Quo.”
“Status what?” asked Tirek.
“A term to describe a state of normality, said Sombra. By example, it is the base of the plot of which a series or a movie revolve around. By example, take superhero movies or series. The villain break out, the hero stop him, the day is saved, then the villain break out again, like nothing happened, and the hero have stop him again and rince and repeat. That is called a status quo.”
Tirek was confused by the explanation. Sombra facepalmed himself.
“Nevermind, let’s prepare the papers” he said.
At the Canterlot Cafe, Twilight and her friends were talking about their days. Stygian entered the cafe and ordered.
“A large coffee, dark, no sugar” he said with a weak voice.
He walked toward the girls.
“Can i sit with you?” he asked, revealing his face.
“St...Stygian?! Asked Chrysalis. What are you doing here?”
“Wait, Stygian? Asked Rainbow Dash, the guy that trapped us in this shadow prison during our battle against Moonlight?”
“You don’t look great, said Rarity, you seem so...grim...”
“You are not here to spy on us, right?” asked Twilight.
“No, answered the grim-looking villain. If this was the case, do you think i would have showed up in front of you?”
“You have a point, said Twilight. Why are you there, then?”
“I want to tell you that i left Moonlight’s team, said Stygian. I am no longer doing evil stuff.”
“Why? Asked Fluttershy. Did you have a change of heart?”
Stygian sighed.
“Your Rainbow Laser removed a huge part of the shadows lying inside me when it hit me. That darkness was clouding my judgement and rid of it, i started to realize i had no reason for being a villain. I have a life, a future, i won’t ruin it for an hopeless cause.”
“Let me guess, you want us to teach you the magic of friendship?” asked Twilight.
“Are you here because you want to join us? Asked Pinkie Pie. Our doors are always opened to ex-villains!”
“That’s a nice offer, said Stygian. But i see myself forced to decline your proposition. I just came here to apolologize for what i’ve done while working for Moonlight.”
“I see, said Chrysalis. You did tell me you were going to an University when we first met.”
“You are going to an university? Asked Twilight. How it is?”
“Horrible, said Stygian. From my perspective, at least.”
“Being bullied, aren’t you? Said Chrysalis. I don’t need psychic powers to see that your life at school is not easy. I can understand how easy it is to give in to darkness when your life sucks”
“Not anymore, he said. Seeing the power of your friendship has given me faith. Well, i’ll probably go now...Oh, i almost forgot, i have one last thing i need to tell you before leaving Canterlot. I heard that Sombra and Tirek were planning in working at your school.”
“What?! Said Twilight. Why?!”
“They are probably bored to do nothing until Moonlight’s next offensive, said Stygian. Don’t worry, they won’t cause you trouble on school grounds. But i count on you to not cause them trouble while they are teaching. Maybe you could even teach them a thing or two about friendship...Oh well, i have to go now. Until we meet again, girls!!”
On those words, Stygian left.
“That is bad, said Applejack, very bad. But at least, we know that there are only 2 post to occupy at the moment at C.H.S.”
“Celestia is looking for a new sport coach, said Rainbow Dash. Since the previous one, Iron Will, got fired for criminal behavior. I am pretty sure Tirek is going to be our new coach.”
“From the informations i gathered at his subject, said Twilight. He is a runaway convict. He was held at Phillydelphia’s Max Security prison.”
“This is the most secure prison in all the country, said Applejack. His crime must have been pretty grave for him to be sent here.”
“Apparently, he was charged for being one of the minds behind the heist of Las Pegasus’ Royal Heart Casino” said Twilight.
“This is one the most famous casino in the world, said Rarity. And the most famous in this country.”
“Tirek claimed he had nothing to do with the heist and was falsely accused. But the jury didn’t believed him and sentenced him to 50 years of jail without liberation conditions.”
“There is no way Celestia is going to engage him” said Fluttershy.
“Except if he goes under another identity” said Pinkie Pie.
“I wouldn’t mind having Sombra as our drama teacher, said Rarity. He is very charming...He he he”
Her friends looked at her with a deadpan expression. Meanwhile in Equestria, Sunlight and Sunset had found their way into the temple without much problems. They arrived in a large room with a pillar. On the pillar was a message that Sunlight read.
“Congrats for making it there, Sunlight, and Sunset, if she is with you, said Sunlight, out loud. I guess it is time to tell you where to find your mother. I hide the 4 parts of a relic that will reveal your mother’s location once you’ll get the four of them. The first piece is located in a place where pleasure, luxury and vice is king. Good luck to both of you”
“A place where pleasure, luxury and vice are king, said Sunset. Hum...Could it be Las Pegasus?”
“Would make sense, said Sunlight. Las Pegasus is known for it’s many casinos, flashy and luxurious buildings and for it’s many bars and nightclubs. And i am not forgetting about all the strip clubs...”
“This world have strip clubs too? Asked Sunset. Why? Are ponies not already naked?”
“You have a point, said Sunlight. But sex is a lucrative business that is present in any universe, magical or not.”
They left the temple and saw Celeano, exhausted and irritated.
“You bastard, you lied to us!! Said Celeano, there was no treasure!!”
“If you wanted us to stay behind, you just had to tell us” said Capper.
“I know and i apologize for tricking you” said Sunlight.
He took a pile of rock and used his magic to turn it into gemstones.
“There is the treasure” he said.
“Very well, you are forgiven, said Celeano. Come to mama, my precious gemstones.”
Capper grabbed a dozen of jewels and put it in his purse. Celeano put the rest in a bag and carried it on her back.
“Where are we going next?” asked Celeano.
“Las Pegasus, answered Sunlight. Do you think you two can handle it?”
“Oh, this is gonna be sooooo fun, said Capper. The perfect place to hustle and rob unsuspecting wealthy ponies...”
“No, said Sunlight. No robbery, no hustle and no schemes. Now, let’s go, Las Pegasus await us.”
Sunlight and his friends were on their way to Las Pegasus, meanwhile, at C.H.S, our heroes were eating at the cafeteria. Suddenly, the voice of Celestia came out of the intercom.
“This is a message from your Principal, she said. I have the pleasure to announce that tomorrow, we will have a new Drama art teacher and a new Sport coach. I count on you to welcome them with respect. This will be it for today’s messages, have a good afternoon.”
“Fuck..., said Rainbow Dash. We’re screwed!”
“Calm down, Dashie, said Fluttershy. Maybe they will actually not be rough with us...”
“Abusing or targeting one or a group of students is agaisnt the school rules, said Twilight. That’s the reason why Mr. Will was fired. And if he does target us specifically, we’ll just get back at them after school.”
“Well, said Applejack. The worst Tirek can do to us on school grounds is giving us more exercises or send us to detention. We’ve had worse honestly. So i am not worried.”
“And as for Sombra, said Rarity. What should we expect from him. He definitively know about manners and is charming.”
“He’ll probably give us more homeworks, said Pinkie Pie. No big deal.”
“If he does cause us problem, said Rarity, touching her hairs, i can probably get intimate with him and get him fired for flirting with a student.”
“He’s to smart for that, said Applejack. But this sure is one hell of a way to get back at him if he discriminate us...But please don’ do that, sugarcube”
Meanwhile, in Equestria... Sunset, Capper and the pirates we’re singing to pass time. Sunlight, him, was reading a book.
“We arrived!!! Said Celeano. Las Pegasus is right ahead!!”
“Finally! Said Sunlight. I was about to burn down the damn ship if i heard this annoying song one more minute.”
“One thing thought, said Celeano. Pirates ships are not allowed to go further. You’ll have to do the rest of the travel yourselves.”
“So, you are going to dump us here and leave? Asked Sunset. None of us have wings to fly. How are we supposed to do the rest of the way?”
“This is Las Pegasus we are talking about, said Celeano. This city have everything. And i don’t think ressources are a problem for you, right?”
“You have a point, said Sunlight. Money is not a problem for me, i can make as many gemstone as i wan’t with my Earth magic. Well, good luck, Captain.”
“Good luck to you too, she said. I hope you’ll find the answers you’re seeking.”
Sunlight teleported himself, Sunset and Capper on a nearby dock.
“Okay, we are in Las Pegasus, said Sunset. Now what? Where should we begin to look?”
“My instinct tell me that the piece might be in possession of a rich collector” said Sunlight.
“I can probably help you with this part, said Capper. I’m an expert at eavesdropping. But it will probably take some time, so you’d probably wanna explore the city in the meanwhile. Ciao.”
He left.
“So, what do you want to do first?” asked Sunset.
“Why not going to the Flim and Flam ressort? Answered Sunlight, reading a pamphlet. I heard it have one of the most popular and crazy rollercoasters.”
“Wait, Flim and Flam own it now? Asked Sunset. How did that happened?”
“Fluttershy, Applejack, Flim and Flam exposed the previous owner of the resort’s lies. And being opportunistic rascals, Flim and Flam jumped on the occasion to buy it.”
The two siblings walked in direction of the resort. On the way, they saw all sort of creatures, some dressed extravagantly, others naked and other wearing rags and begging. Sunlight gave to many of the beggers a gemstone or a couple of gold bits. Obviously, this draw the attention of some ill-intentioned creatures and ponies. They stopped when they were suddenly blocked and surrounded by a group of mean-looking ponies.
“I don’t need to read their minds to see that they are definitively not well intentioned” said Sunset.
”I probably shouldn’t have been so generous distributing gemstones like that, thought Sunlight. It must have drawn their attention.”
Around them, Sunlight noticed the streets were empty of ponies.
“Hum, judging by your look and the fact that everyone in a radius of a hundred meters disappeared from the streets, i must deduce you must be some sort of mafia, right?”
“You got it right, said one of them. You must be new here since you visibly don’t know that we are ruling this town, us, the Thousand Eyes.”
“The Thousand Eyes? Said Sunset. Oh no...Sunlight, we should leave”
She looked at Sunlight’s expression and saw it had changed.
“That smile, those eyes, she thought. He is not gonna run away.”
“What makes you smile?” asked a thug.
“I smile because i didn’t believe i’d had the occasion of taking down one of the most dangerous criminal organisation in Equestria.”
“You?! Asked another one, laughing. Don’t be stupid, alright guys, Kill him! And take this mare to our boss, he’s gonna love her.”
Sunlight drawed the air out of all the thugs lungs using air magic and casted a barrier at the same time.
“I...I can’t breathe, said a thug. I can’t breathe!!”
“Me neither, said another one. I...Need...Oxygen.”
The thugs all fell unconscious after a few moments. He rounded them up in a magic prison.
“Okay, what do we do now? Asked Sunset. Should we deliver them to the police?”
“No, they said they were making the rule in this city, answered Sunlight. I am sure they have the forces if order on their sides. I said we should send the Thousand Eyes a message, that their organisation is soon going to fall.”
He woke up one of them.
“You, transmit this message to your boss, he said. Tell him that Sunlight Blaze is going to destroy his whole empire to the ground and that if dare put a hoof on my sister, i’ll roast his nuts.”
People started to appear on the street, surprised.
“People of Las Pegasus!! Said Sunlight. Hear me out!! I, Sunlight Blaze, Will put an end to the reign of terror of the criminal organisation know as the Thousands eyes.”
“Many have tried, said a citizen, all have failed. What make you think you can succeed where so many have failed?”
“Didn’t you saw how fast i subdued those thugs? Said Sunlight. For the average pony, it might seem a task impossible to achieve, but i am no mere pony, believe me.”
“He have a point, said another citizen. He made quick work of those criminals.”
“You have my support, said a mare. I am behind you, Mr. Blaze.”
“You have mine too” said another one.
“One after another, the citizens started to cheer him. Sunset was feeling proud of her brother.”
“Yep, that’s my brother” she said, smiling.
“Now, let’s get to that resort, shall we?” said Sunlight.
They spent the rest of the afternoon at the resort. They were about to go try a ride when Flim and Flam showed up.
“So, enjoying your day?” asked Flim and Flam at the same time.
“Piss off, you two, said Sunset. For your info, yes, we are enjoying it.”
“We heard about what you did earlier today, said Flam. To those thugs from the Thousand Eyes.”
“And we want to say, said Flim. Good job. I know what you might think. But that organization spare no one, not even us. They force us to pay a big amount of money for protection, plus requesting to have free V.I.P access to the resort. This is not good for our affairs.”
“So, that must explain why you made so much schemes since you owned the resort, said Sunlight. But you didn’t you just come here to ask us if our day was good, right?”
Flim and Flam looked at each other.
“How good are you at entertaining people?” asked Flam to Sunlight.
“What do you have in mind?” said Sunset.
“I am pretty good with magic, he answered. My sis here is also pretty great with entertaining people too”
“Well, i am pretty good with crowds, she said. After all, i am the leader of a music band”
“So, here is the deal, one of the artist we were supposed to have for the evening won’t be able to show up for his representation, You two are friends of the Princess Twilight, right?”
“Yes, answered Sunlight. So, you want us to replace the missing artist and perform for him...What’s to gain from us?”
“People are talking about your exploit of today. Said Flim. A lot of ponies will be here tonight, thousands of them, and many very influent ones among them.”
“This might be the occasion for you to reach out for the most people possible. The artist in question was Songbird Serenade, you know her, she’s a very talented singer”
Sunset and Sunlight looked at each other with a smile.
“How are you feeling about a duet?” she asked.
“Pretty good, answered Sunlight. We will get everyone’s hope up!”
“Sunset Shimmer?! Sunlight Blaze?!” said a familiar voice.
“This voice, said Sunset. Rainbow Dash?!”
“In the flesh!! She answered. But i am not alone, I came here with my friends for tonight’s show.”
The rest of the Mane 6, including Spike and Twilight, showed up.
“I was not expecting you two to be here” asked Twilight.
Sunset told her they were here to find a piece of a relic that could lead them to their mother and also that Songbird Serenade won’t be present tonight.
“But no worry, though, said Sunset. Me and Sunlight will take her place.”
“I have a better idea, said Sunlight. Why don’t you and her sing together? The crowd will be crazy if the Princess of Friendship herself sing live on stage.”
“What about you? Asked Sunset. Didn’t you wanted to give a message of hope to the public.”
“You can do it at my place much better than me” he answered.
“For what?” asked Rarity.
“Should i told them about the organisation of the Thousand Eyes? Thought Sunlight. No...This is something i want to do by myself. They have already a lot to do...”
Twilight noticed something when she looked at Sunlight’s perplexed expression and suspected he was hiding something.
“The show shouldn’t begin before an hour or two” said Applejack.
“Let’s have fun, girls!” said Pinkie Pie.
“Aw Yeah!!” said Rainbow Dash
“Good idea, said Twilight. Let’s all join back at the same spot later!”
The mane 6 went to different directions Except Twilight.
“You are not going with them, Princess?” asked Sunlight.
“I think i should go with the girls, said Sunset. See you later!!”
She left.
“You are hiding something, i know it, said Twilight. What is it?”
Sunlight sighed and mentioned the Thousand Eyes Organization and how went the encounter.
“What?! Said Twilight. They are one of the most dangerous organization in Equestria!! And also on the top of my list of things to make Equestria a safer place.”
“Let me handle it alone, said Sunlight I am dead serious. I want to dismember this evil organization myself”
She looked at him and saw a determined spark in his eyes.
“I know that stare, she said. You are not going to back up, aren’t you? But getting rid of this organization is more than just beating them up and destroying their operation bases. They have allies almost everywhere in Equestria, taking down the big boss won’t be enough, they’ll just vote for a new one. Okay, true, Las Pegasus is the heart of the organization, and freeing it from their grasp will definitively weaken them a lot. Go for it, then. I believe you can do this, there is not more powerful magic user than you around.”
“Thank you, Twilight, said Sunlight. I won’t deceive you...”
“I know you won’t, she said. But still, be careful”
Sunlight had started taking down the organization of the Thousand Eyes as soon as Twilight and her friends left the city. Capper still didn’t gave any news. Sunset insisted on helping him take the organization down, and Sunlight refused, saying that he doesn’t want her to be used as an hostage against him. After hours of arguing, Sunset convinced him to let her join him, making a point about her mind-reading capacities and the fact she is as strong as him. Now, the two of them were gathering informations on the whereabouts of the Thousand Eyes in the city. At the end of the end, they had gathered a lot of information.
“This is worse than i thought it would be, said Sunlight. They have high placed member in every key system of the city. They have not only absolute control over the economy of the city, but they have the mayor of the city and the whole goddamn police department in the palm of their hands.”
“We have informations, now what?” she asked.
“We need to get their attention, said Sunlight. Subduing a bunch of thugs is not a big deal. I suggest we strike were it will hurt them the most.”
“The Banks?” said Sunset.
“Yes, we need to cut their money income, said Sunlight. That mean getting rid of the member of the organization who have hold on banks and casinos. Without money, it will be more difficult for them to buy the favors of the police and the town’s mayor.”
“Cutting their main source of income will sure hurt them, said Sunset. But how will you do that?”
“We are going to rob them” said Sunlight.
Sunset almost chocked hearing that.
“I’m sorry, what?! She asked. You can’t be serious!”
“I am, he answered. I don’t like commiting crimes, but sometimes, to bait a villain, you have to act like a villain. This is for the greater good.”
“Why don’t we infiltrate the organization?” asked Sunset.
“Too dangerous, said Sunlight. That will also take too much time getting their trust, we need to deal a huge strike to their organization.”
“Even if we cut their access to the banks and casinos of the city, said Sunset. They probably have a big stack of money in their vault.”

“No, she said. But i don’t feel very comfortable at the idea of mind-controlling someone.”
“This time, this is for good, said Sunlight. Listen, i am not comfortable either at the idea of doing a heist, i stop crime, not commit them. But if this can help to save the life of thousand of ponies and contribute to Equestria’s wellbeing, i won’t hesitate to commit one. And this is not like i am going to keep the money for myself anyway.”
“Ugh...said Sunset. You and your speeches...Fine, i’ll do what i can to help you save this city...”
“Alright then, said Sunlight. I knew you would understand. Well, let’s do this!”
Sunlight and Sunset walked to the first bank on their route and entered inside. Sunlight noticed the security cameras and deactivated them by releasing a quick electromagnetic pulse, cutting by the same occasion all communications devices.
“Alright, we got exactly 3 minutes before the security system reboot” said Sunlight.
Sunset took control of the mind of the banker.
“You will open the vault for us” she said.
“Yes, said the banker. Follow me”
The banker opened the vault and Sunset put him asleep.
“Make sure to erase us from his memories” said Sunlight.
“I know, she said. I am not stupid.”
Sunlight teleported all the money and gold out of the vault and closed it afterward. The both of them then left the bank.
“First one, done, said Sunlight. Next one!”
The duo repeated the same steps on the second bank on their list, with success. The third and fourth heist also went without problem. The fifth one was the most problematic due to the high number of bankers and high security. But nothing Sunlight couldn’t overcome.
“We did it, said Sunlight. This is not for nothing they called this bank the most secure bank in Equestria. Good job, sister”
“Don’t mention it, she said. We are not done yet. So, how will we proceed for the casinos?”
“There are more than a dozen of Casinos, answered Sunlight. However, There is one among all the casinos in the city that control all of them. The Thousand Heavens Casino, who judging by the name, is probaly owned by the boss of the Thousand Eyes. This is where we have to strike. We will pass for a couple of rich tourist who are here to have fun. I already bought for you and me the outfits.”
“Hum, what kind of outfit did you chose for me?” she asked.
“Something very expensive and elegant, from the best fashion boutique in Las Pegasus. Now as for the plan, Casinos also have a vault where they stock all the chips and bits. I will use my powers to locate it and then do a recon of the place. In the meanwhile, try to draw the security guards attention, the fastest way is to win a lot in succession, they will suspect you to cheat. And while you are at it, try causing the more chaos and damage possible.”
“You got it, she said. Very well...Let’s do this!!”
Sunlight disappeared and then came back with a two suitcases, one for him and one for her. She opened hers and was amazed by what was inside.
“That is a very beautiful dress, she said. And those slippers and that tiara, how much did it cost you”
“70 000 bits for the dress, 10000 for the slippers and 20000 for the tiara, he answered. So a hundred thousand bucks”
“For something i will probably just wear once? She said, shocked. Althought, for what you told me, money is not a problem for you. How many gemstones did you have to trade for it?”
“How do you know i paid in gemstones? Said Sunlight. Oh well, one huge-ass Diamond.”
“And how much did yours cost?” she asked.
“Oh, i rented it for the evening for 2000 bits” he answered.
“Is there a reason why you spent so much for me and not on yourself?” she asked.
“You deserve the best there is, he answered. That’s all.”
“Oh, i see, she said. So you buy me expensive stuff, Yet, you refuse to give me a single dollar when i ask you.”
“One thousand dollars for a figurine is not what i call a necessity, said Sunlight. Nor is a 4000$ guitar when yours is still perfectly fine.”
She made a grumpy face and looked away.
“Pfft...she said. Said the one who spent nearly 2 millions on experimental military technology and gadgets, Like if you really needed that hi-tech armor of yours”
“Well, that armor saved my butt when we fought Sombra for the first time, he said. Without it, i might have been killed or badly injured.”
“Whatever....” she said.
The two of them walked their way to the Thousand Heavens Casino. Once they were arrived inside, Sunlight immediately started to examinate the surroundings and assess the security.
“There are at least 2 dozen of security guards scattered throughout the Casino, he said to her. Think you can take them?”
“Of course, she said with a devious grin. I can handle them no problem, and if things gets too hot, i can easily subdue them with my magic. Don’t worry about me. But you mean in a battle or sexually? Because either way, i can take them”
“You know that i meant in a battle, he said, exasperated. Don’t joke about those things, especially with your brother.”
“I’m sorry, she said, smiling. I just couldn’t resist. I know you won’t let me do those kind of things.”
“Plus, if i meant it sexually, i would be the one doing it anyway” he said.
“Because it is okay for you but not for me to be banged by 2 dozens of stallions?” she asked.
“Yes” he answered.
“Let’s just get done with the plan, she said. I will start by the Poker tables.”
Sunset went to the Poker tables while Sunlight went to the bar. The barmaid walked to him.
“So, Handsome, she said. What can i serve you?”
“The Thousand Heaven’s Special mix” he answered.
“Oh, a fine choice! She said. That will be ready soon enough”
Sunlight closed his eyes and used his magic to locate the vault and found it quickly. It was located deep underground, protected by magic barriers, anti-magic crystals and the latest innovations in security system.
”Oh boy, he thought. Getting to the vault won’t be easy, I can easily deactivate the magic barriers, and take out the security devices. Only big problem is the anti-magic system that protect the vault itself. I won’t be able to teleport myself of the treasure outside. Fortunately, it seem to only prevent ponies to use their magic, magical artifacts should work. The magic purse Discord gave me will be perfect, but it will take a long time to fit all the bits and gems inside. I hope Sunset can distract them for some time.”
“Here is your drink, she said with a smile. Do you want something else?”
“Hum, can you give me information about this casino?” he asked.
“Sure, anything for a customer that pay well, she said. What do you want to know?”
“First of all, Who own the casino?” he asked.
“This casino belong to Bloody Hooves, she answered. A very rich Unicorn and a very influent person. Other things you want to know?”
“Where it’s name came from?” he asked.
“This is Bloody Hooves who named it the Thousand Heavens. The rumors said that he got forced by the famous organization of the Thousand Eyes to name it that way.”
“Interesting, he thought. This Bloody Hooves might be the kingpin of the Thousand Eyes. That would explain why he named this casino after his organization.”
Sunlight took a sip of his drink.
“This Bloody Hooves, is he often in the Casino? He asked”
“No, she answered. He is rarely in his office, he says that he is a very busy man. But luckily for you, he is in the establishment right now. Did you want to meet him?”
“Can i? He said. Busy like he is, he probably doesn’t want anypony to waste his precious time.”
“He is indeed very picky with the type of pony he frequents, she said. But i saw the dress your partner is wearing, there is only one designer in Equestria who can make that kind of dress, and her creations doesn’t come cheap. Did she buy it or you did?”

Sunlight finished his drink and was about to leave the bar.

“Boss? She said. It’s me, Red Velvet...”
“What do you want?” he said from his office.
Sunlight was on his way to the door leading to the vault when an intimidating-looking Stallion interrupted him.
“So, said the stallion. I heard from one of my employees that you wanted to meet me?”
“Oh, You must be the owner of this beautiful casino, Mister...Bloody Hooves, right?”
“The gorgeous barmaid said that served you said that she saw you turn a vulgar pebble into a pure white diamond, he said. This is not any unicorn who can do this kind of things. No wonder why you are so rich, if i could do that, i wouldn’t need this casino to make a living.”
“Let me guess, he said. You want me to use that magic trick of mine for you?”
“Quick-witted, i see, said the stallion. Let’s return to my office so we can talk without being interrupted”
They walked to the boss office and entered in.
“Now we can talk in peace, said Bloody Hooves. Take a seat.”
Sunlight jumped on a couch and looked for a comfy position.
“Do you want something to eat, to drink?” asked Bloody Hooves.
“I am fine, he said. And you can drop the nice guy act. You don’t fool me.”
“What are you talking about? Said the stallion. I am just a honest casino owner, that’s all.”
“I doubt about it, said Sunlight. I heard that this casino was one of the Thousand Eyes main source of income. And being the owner of the casino, i am pretty sure you have affiliations with the organization and it’s leader.”
“Who told you about the organization, said Bloody Hooves. It’s existence is only known by the princess Twilight Sparkle and high-place members of the organization. Could she have sent you to take it down? If that is the case, she is stupid to send a single Unicorn to do so. She should have send her friends or a squad instead.”
“So, you are a member of the Thousand Eyes? Said Sunlight. I guess i was right.”
“Yes, i am one the 7 Deadly Sins of the organization, said Bloody Hooves. I am Bloody Hooves, the sin of greed.”
“The seven sins are Greed, Sloth, Lust, Wrath, Envy, Gluttony and Pride, said Sunlight. I must deduce that your boss is the sin of pride, right?”
“No, you see, our organization is more complicated and complex than you can imagine. Each one of us, the Deadly Sins, control a specific market. Mine happen to be controlling the Casinos.”
“Why spilling your bag like that? Asked Sunlight. I bet this is because you are certain i won’t leave this room, right?”
“Nah, said Bloody Hooves. I am fully aware you could make quick work of my security team, To be honest, if the Princess sent you to take down the Thousand Eyes, you must be very powerful of incredibly skilled. Either way, i don’t want any problem with you. I will tell you everything you want to know about the Thousand Eyes, in exchange.”
“You want me to spare you, said Sunlight. I am not surprised. But tell, me, what will it win you to betray the organization.”
“More money, that’s what, said Bloody Hooves. The leader of the Thousand Eyes want a big part of the income my casinos make. If the organization is dissolved, that mean that i won’t have to share my gains with him anymore.”
“Hum, but if you hated having to give a share of your money to this guy or gal, why joining him in the first place”
“To protect my empire, that’s why, said the owner. I worked hard to built those casinos to what they are today. I refuse to let anyone else take it from me. This is why i accepted to serve him. To protect what i had.”
“You really deserve your sin, said Sunlight. Only money matter to you. This is why you wanted to see me when i turned that pebble into a diamond. I see now. And to be sure that the information you give me are right, i will pay you big for each crucial information you have on the Thousand Eyes.”
Sunlight showed him a big emerald.
“Tell me what you want to know” said Bloody Hooves with a smile.
Sunlight walked out of the office with a satisfied smile.
”Well, that was way easier than i expected, he thought. Now that i know a lot more about the organization, it’s time to change my plans. I have to tell Sunset about it.”
Sunlight came to Sunset
“Our job here is done, he said. Let’s go”
She followed him.
“So, how did the heist went?” she asked.
Sunlight told her about what happened.
“The seven deadly sins, huh? She asked. And the owner of this casino was one of them?”
“I quite literally bought his favors, said Sunlight. But i doubt the other 6 will be that easy to take down.”
“So, she asked. Who’s next?”
“The sin of Gluttony, he answered. Bloody Hooves told me that he own all the restaurant chains in Las Pegasus, including the high-end ones. He goes under the name of Big Joe.”
“Where can we find him?” asked Sunset.
“From what Bloody Hooves told me, answered Sunset. We can find him at his loft, located under the most high-end restaurant of the city. The Thousand Flavors, an All-you-can-eat high-end buffet. I always wanted to eat there, honestly.”
“Yeah, i am kinda hungry” she said.
The two arrived at the restaurant and were stopped by a valet
“Your names, please?” he asked.
“Our names?” asked Sunlight.
“Yes, said the pony. So i can see if they are on the list.”
“Damn it, thought Sunlight. This must be a reservation only restaurant. As you would expect from an high-end restaurant”
“Can’t you make an exception for this time?” asked Sunset.
Sunlight showed to the valet a big purse full of bits.
“Of course, said the valet. You are lucky, i got the message earlier that two clients, a couple, who had a reservation, cancelled it a couple of hours ago. You can take their places. Your table is the number 13”
“Great!!” said Sunset.
They entered the restaurant and looked for the table thirteen.
“Table thirteen is this way” said a waiter.
Sunlight and Sunset sat at the table. Sunlight got up and immediately went for the buffet. Sunset followed him. They came back to their table, Sunlight with a plate full of spicy food and Sunset, with a plate of sweets. They started eating with appetite.
“This is delicious!! Said Sunlight. I never ate such a perfectly spiced curry before.”
“It is, said Sunset, blushing. I never tasted a cheesecake so moist and so perfectly sweet!”
“I am glad you are liking it, said an imposant Earth pony. Here, at the Thousand Flavors, we aim for the absolute perfection. Knowing that the 2 most famous food critics in Equestria are enjoying what my restaurant have to offer, Me, Big Joe, can’t feel anything but satisfied.”
Sunset almost chocked on a bite of cake.
“Hum, so you are the owner of this amazing establishement? Said Sunlight, who decided to play the part. Well, it really deserve it’s name.”
“Is your wife okay?” asked the pony.
“I am fine, said Sunset. I just chocked on a piece of cake, that’s all.”
”So, this is our guy” thought Sunlight.
”What are we doing now?” asked Sunset.
“The quality of the food is one thing, said Sunlight. I might have let myself get carried away a little. It is indeed delicious, but many other high-end restaurants i visited have food as good as this one. What yours have more than the others, except for the food?”
“Oh, i see, said Big Joe. Well, this is the only high-end all-you-can-eat restaurant in town. We receive the ingredients from the best of the best, the quintessence of Equestria.”
“Most of those ingredients, like by example, this pepper. It is a rare variety that only grow on mount Aeris during a certain time of the year and in few amount. One of them alone can sold for at least 50000 bits.”
“Hum, you are a pepper conoissor, i see, said Big Joe. Indeed, the best peppers in Equestria for the best restaurant.”
“How can you afford those ingredients, said Sunlight. Most of them can’t be found on the market and those who can are expensive. I know you possess many high-end restaurants, but their income alone would not be enough to compensate for the expenses.”
“But if somehow, said Sunset. Oh, i don’t know...You were working for an organization who have their hands and eyes on almost all of Equestria, and are so rich that they can cover all your restaurants expenses, It would explain how you still didn’t go bankrupt...”
Big Joe started sweating.
“They must be undercover agents sent to take down my restaurant. Ugh...They probably took the places of the real food critics and intend to arrest me...”
”He’s starting to stress, said Sunset to Sunlight by mind. He think we are undercover agents sent to take down his restaurant.”
Big Joe tried to calm down.
“You two are definitively not the food critics that were supposed to come, said Big Joe. Are you agents or something?”
“You are right on one point, said Sunlight. We are not the famous critics that were supposed to come to your restaurant. We are not agents either, i am just here because i know you are one of the Thousand Eyes pillar, the sin of Gluttony. We are here to take you down”
Big Joe started running away.
“Should we pursue him?” asked Sunset.
“Nah, said Sunlight. Let’s just give him a headstart.”
They waited 2 minutes then started pursuing Big Joe. They chased him until they cornered him in a one way room.
“You are done” said Sunlight.
“You are in a dead-end, said Sunset. You can’t escape.”
Big Joe was holding a strange round object in his right hoof.
“Me, cornered? Said Big Joe. No, I just wanted to lead you here...And now, with this, i am going to kill you both. I am not going out without a fight...”
“What is it? Asked Sunset. A weapon?”
“I sense magic coming from it, said Sunlight. It must be a relic or an artifact.”
Big Joe ate the relic and swallowed it. Immediately, he started gaining bulk and growing in size until he became sort sort of big muscular brute.
“I am going to break you in half!! Said Big Joe. Starting by the stallion!!”
He charged at Sunlight. This one swiftly dodged the attack and landed behind him elegantly.
“You are not the first brute i fought, said Sunlight. You’ll have to do better than that if you want to hit me...”
Sunset fired a beam of magic at Big Joe, but this one didn’t even flinched and ignored it.
“It is useless to attack him with our magic beam, said Sunlight. His skin is way to hard for our attacks to even tickle him.”
“Why don’t you use one of your super powerful attack, then?” asked Sunset.
“Do you want me to make the whole building explode? Answered Sunlight. Don’t forget that there are people eating up there.”
“Damn it, said Sunset. Are you sure you don’t have anything that could beat him without destroying the bulding?”
“I might have a spell that could get rid of him, said Sunlight. But i will need some time to cast it. Think you can keep him away from me?”
“Of course, she answered. Let me handle this brute. Hey, Fatass!! Why don’t you come and get me instead?!”
Big Joe turned his attention toward her
“What did you called me?!” he shouted.
“You heard what i said, fatso!” said Sunset.
Big Joe furiously charged at her and jumped high, with his two hoofs ready to crush her. She dodged easily and blasted him in the face.
“Missed, fatty!!” said Sunset, mockingly pulling her tongue at him.
Big Joe went for a second charge, that Sunset avoided as easily as the first one. She kept doing it for a couple of minutes.
“Is this ready yet? She asked him by telepathy. I am starting to get exhausted dodging his attacks!”
”Just a few more seconds” said Sunlight.
Big Joe was about to catch Sunset and crush her under his hooves. Sunlight teleported her behind him at the last moment.
“Thanks” she said.
“Eat this, motherfucker!!” said Sunlight
The spell hit Big Joe.
“Ancient Magic arcane, said Sunlight. Magic Cancellation!!”
Big Joe charged at them for the last time, before his body suddenly start turning back to normal. Sunlight took the artifact out of his stomach and put it in his bag.
“What just happened? Asked Sunset. I never heard of this spell before”
“Well, this is because this is an ancient spell, answered Sunlight. You see, Discord gave me this spell book a few weeks ago. It is full of ancient, forbidden and forgotten spells. The one i casted, Magic Cancellation, have for effect to cancel or negate the magic in an artifact or relic, rendering it useless.”
“And how many of the spells in this book did you learned?” asked Sunset.
“Only 3, answered Sunlight. Including Magic Cancellation.”
“What are the other 2?” she asked.
“You’ll see when the time will come” he answered.
“Can i take a look at it? She asked. Please, i’ll give it back to you.”
Sunlight gave her the book. She opened it and was terrified by some of the spells. Sunlight took the book back from her.
“Some of those spells are insane, she said, shocked. I am terrified at the idea that such a spell existed.”
“This is why they are forgotten and forbidden spells, said Sunlight. This one, created by Nightmare Moon, if casted by a competent pony, could completely change Equestria into a realm of shadows and nightmares. And this one is powerful enough to erase a whole dimension if successfully casted.”
“Mastering only one of the spell in this book require a lot of intelligence and magic skill, said Sunset. To think you were able to learn 3 of them is blowing my mind. Do you think there is some spells in this book i could learn and master?”
“You are definitively smart and magically skilled enough to learn many of those spells, said Sunlight. And you are in luck, because there is 4 that will greatly benefit your mental powers.”
“What should we do with this guy? Asked Sunset. Should we give him to the police?”
“No, said Sunlight. Hey, Discord!! Can you teleport this guy to Twilight?!”
The body of the pony disappeared.
“Thank you!” said Sunlight.
Twilight was sitting on her throne when she saw two of her guards carrying a body.
“Your Highness, said the first guard, We found this pony at the entrance of your castle with a message on him”
Twilight took the note and read it.
“Guards, bring this individual in the donjon” she said
The two guards left with the pony.
“Well, it seem that Sunlight is doing a good job, she said. I knew he could do it.”
Sunlight and Sunset just left the restaurant, a smile on their faces.
“Who is next?” she asked.
“With Greed and Gluttony taken care of, we have 5 left. Our next one will be the sin of Sloth, then Lust, Envy, Pride and Wrath. The sin of Sloth is the owner of all the chic hotels in town. Bloody Hooves told me that he lives on top of the most prestigious and most secure hotel of all, the Thousand Stars Hotel.”
Meanwhile, in the headquarters of the Thousand Eyes organization...
“Boss, said an Unicorn. I am afraid i have bad news. Bloody Hooves, the Sin of Greed, has betrayed us. He is cutting all ties with the organization and is under the protection of the Princess of Friendship. And Big Joe, the Sin of Gluttony, have been arrested and is held captive in Canterlot. And last, every bank we control in Las Pegasus have been robbed.”
“I expected Bloody’s betrayal, said the boss. Money is his only boss. And Big Joe was not a big deal anyway. Do you know who are the ones who did this”
“Apparently, according to our spies out there, They are two, they are both Unicorns. I believe they had been sent by the Princess to take us down.”
“Do you know their identity?” asked the boss.
“Not yet, said the shady unicorn. I only have their pictures.”
The boss grabbed the picture
“Prevent the remaining 5, he said. Right now!”
“Yes, said the Unicorn. On it!”
The boss smiled.
“I don’t know who you two are, he said. But you have balls to challenge my empire. Let me see what you can do.”
Sunlight and Sunset were arrived in front of the building where their next target, Called the Snoozer, was located.
“Ugh, they are arrived already, said Snoozer, yawning. What a bother...Guards, give our dear intruders a welcome comity they won’t forget. Wake me up when they are neutralized.”
“Right sir!!” said one of them.
He then fell asleep again. Sunlight was about to enter when Sunset stopped him.
“There are a lot of guards waiting for us inside, said Sunset. It seem like our friend have been warned of our arrival”
“So, they must have noticed our existence, said Sunlight. Was about time, we won’t have to brain our way to them. I will open the way for you, just run to the last floor. I am handling those security guards.”
Sunlight melted through the reinforced metal door with a fire beam. He entered first. The guards started firing magic beams at him, that he blocked easily. He smiled and took down half of the guards on the floor with diverse karate moves. He then lifted 5 other near him and lauched them through a wall. He finally took down the remaining guards on the ground level with a powerful wind that sent them flying outside the building. Sunset followed him, impressed.
“Are they going to be fine?” she asked.
“Don’t worry, i went easy on them, he answered. They will wake up with scratches and maybe fractured bones for those fives i sent through this wall. They will live, though. Let’s take the stairs, the elavator might be trapped.”
They walked to the next floor.
“No guards on this floor” said Sunset.
“Fine to me, said Sunlight, let’s go.”
He made his way through the 100 floors without any problem, making quick work of the traps in his way.
“How....How tall is this tower? Asked Sunset, out of breath. I’m tired of climbing stairs...”
“We should be at the top floor, now, he answered. Now, just have to find our target’s room.”
They explored the whole floor, but didn’t find the room of their target.
“It’s impossible, said Sunset. We checked every room on each floor. Where is he?”
“Did we? Asked Sunlight. We looked everywhere from the first floor to the last one. But i didn’t checked the ground floor.
“Of course!! Said Sunset. Oh crap, don’t tell me we will have to walk down all the way...”
Sunlight teleported himself and her on the ground floor.
“Oh, she said. Yeah, i forgot you can teleport to place you already visited.”
Sunlight and Sunset looked everywhere on the floor.
“Brother!! I found a secret passage!!” said Sunset.
“Good job” he said.
They opened it and entered in a secret room where Snoozer was sleeping. Sunlight lifted him out of his bed and bound him with magic ties.
“Discord?” asked Sunlight.
The body disappeared.
“He will have a surprise when he’ll wake up in jail, said Sunset. So, the sin of Lust’s next, right?”
“Yes, said Sunlight. Bloody Hooves told me she have a secret hideout under a building called the Thousand Pleasures.”
They both walked their way to the Thousand Pleasures club. Meanwhile, Twilight was disturbed from her duties by her guards.
“Princess, A certain Sunlight Blaze sent us this weird guy. He still didn’t woke up.”
Twilight saw a note on the pony and read it.
“Send him to the dungeon, ordered Twilight. This guy is one of the Thousand Eyes’ deadly sins. The sin of Sloth, i must presume...”
Sunset and Sunlight made it to the thousand Pleasures and were waiting at the entrance. Inside, a very sexy Unicorn mare was looking at the camera.
“Hum..., well I guess it’s my turn, she said, looking at her pendant. Let’s test their will, shall we. Girls, give our two guest a warm welcome. Seduce the male and capture the female. That mare will be a fine addition to our club. As for the stallion, i’ll keep him as my sex slave.”
“Yes, ma’am” said a mature mare.
“Whatever you do, said Sunset. Please don’t let them get to your mind. They will most certainly try to seduce you and then try to put their hands on me...”
“I won’t let them put their hands on you, he said. I mean, their hooves! Beside, you forget who we are talking of...Those temptresses won’t get to me. Are you ready? Then let’s do this.”
They entered the building and were immediately welcomed by beautiful mares and sexy stallions.
“That will be harder than i thought, said Sunlight. Those stallions are sure well-hunged”
”Sunlight!! She said in his mind. This is not the time!! But i do have to admit that they are well-hunged.”
“We won’t resist, said Sunlight. Take us to your boss, Lady Desire. I couldn’t possibly damage such perfect bodies?”
Sunlight let himself get tied up by two stallions. Sunset looked at him and saw that he had a plan, and let herself get tied up as well. They were brought to Lady Desire’s room.
“I know why you two are here, she said. I was expecting you to resist, you are not as dumb as i thought. Those ropes nullify your magic, so don’t even think about freeing yourselves...”
“What’s your deal? Said Sunlight. Wait, don’t tell me, i know. And i forbid you to touch my Sister with your filthy hooves. You can make me your slave, i don’t care, but let her go. Oh wait, did i told you i can turn myself into a mare?”
“Oh...That is really interesting, she said. But you won’t trick me into freeing you, even if it was true. And do you think i will let your dear sister go away? She know too much to be left in the wild.”
She showed them her pendant.
“Now, please don’t resist and look at my pendant” said Lady Desire.
“Wait, That pendant, said Sunlight. It’s a relic, right?”
“Yes, she answered. It’s the Pendant of Hearts. A powerful relic that have the power to bend a being’s will, mind and of course, heart, to the holder’s orders and desires.”
“I see, then all of them, they must be under your control, said Sunset. Right?”
“Yes, she said. Well, except my right-hand lady, Miss Candy. She follow me on her own will. Now, enough questions, time for you two to become my slaves until you die.”
“Sunlight!! Said Sunlight. If you have a plan, Now would be a good time to execute it!”
“Don’t make me laugh! Said Lady Desire. You are tied up and unable to use your magic, what could you possibly do?”
The Pendant she was holding was struck by a magic beam. Sunlight smiled.
“It’s over, said Sunlight. The beam that hit your pendant was the Magic Cancellation spell.”
Sunset looked at him and smiled.
“How could you cast a spell? Said Desire. Those bounds should be preventing you to use magic!!”
Sunset looked at Sunlight with a surprised face.
Lady Desire and Miss candy were suddenly tied with their own anti-magic bounds. Another Sunlight appeared in the room, smiling. The Sunlight beside Sunset turned into a pile of ashes.
“I believe i should explain you what happened, said Sunlight. The Sunlight that entered the place with Sunset was a magic clone of mine. You see, on our way to your hideout, i told my sister that i had to do something urgent. This was a pretext to get away from her and use my Magic Multiplication spell. I saw and listened to everything through his eyes”
“A... Cloning spell? Said Lady Desire. Such spell doesn’t exist.”
“This is exact, said Sunlight. It is a forgotten spell...Now, it’s over...”
“So, this is the second spell you learned, said Sunset. Impressive...But why didn’t you told me about it?”
“Probably, he answered, freeing her from her bounds. Let’s bring those 2 to Twilight, Discord?”
The two mares disappeared and reappeared in the court of the castle, not far from the throne room. They were confused.
“Twilight? Said Spike. Why are there 2 mares in the center of the room?”
Twilight arrived. One of the mares, Lady Desire, had a message taped on her flank. She immediately deduced it was one of the Deadly Sins.
“So, the other one is her second-in-command, she said. That mean there is only 3 left”
Sunlight and Sunset were taking a break.
“The next one is the sin of Envy, said Sunlight. Unlike the 4 other we defeated, she and the two last don’t rule a part of the city’s economy. They instead have control of illegal markets. The Sin of Envy, White Mane, control the drug traffic. The sin of Wrath, Wrecker, is the hitman of the organization and is responsible of assassinations. Finally, the Sin of Pride, named the Golden Eye, and the leader of the deadly sins, is according to Bloody Hooves, responsible of the corruption in town.”
“So, said Sunset. Then he is the one who is buying the authorities and the mayor so they don’t meddle with the Thousand Eyes illegal activities.”
“Yes, said Sunlight. Now, let’s get White Mane. According to Bloody Hooves, she passes a lot of her time at the White Swan, a luxurious maiden Coffee shop. It is not that far of our current location.”
They got up and walked to the Maiden Coffee. They entered and immediately looked for a white-maned mare. A maiden welcomed them. To avoid drawing suspicion, Sunlight ordered coffee for him and Sunset, and then sat a a table. A couple of minutes later, they saw a white-maned tomboyish pegasus enter in the shop.
“It’s our pony, said Sunlight. No doubt about, white mane, Pegasi, tomboyish, with an envious look. It’s her.”
Sunlight immediately immobilized the pegasi with a magic spell.
“The heck?!” said the mare.
Sunlight lifted her in the air and looked at her, Sunset looked in her memories.
“Release me, you jerk!! She said. You don’t know who you are messing with!!”
“We know exactly who were messing with, said Sunset with a smug face. White Mane, the Thousand Eye’s Sin of Envy. Queen of the drug market. Sorry, but you are under arrest!”
“Good luck taking down the two last, said White Mane. They won’t be that easy to defeat.”
“Discord!” said Sunlight.
She disappeared. Sunlight left the coffee shop with Sunset and they laughed.
“Well, that was easy! Said Sunset. So, now we are down to 2 sins: Wrath and Pride. Where can we find them?”
“The sin of Wrath will come to us, said Sunlight. To try assassinate us. To avoid unnecessary damages to the city, let’s take this somewhere free of people and buildings.”
As they were walking, Sunlight avoided instinctively a magic bullet coming his way.
“Look like he is already on to us!! Said Sunlight. Get behind me, Sis!!”
He made a magic barrier around them.
“Up there!! Said Sunset. He is on top of the blue building!!”
Sunlight casted a powerful whirlwind around the hitman, but this one teleported on a nearby building. The unicorns started chasing the criminal down the streets. The assassin looked at them and entered through a secret passage underground. Sunlight quickly found the passage and opened it with a blast of magic. They landed in a dark tunnel with multiple galleries.
“Forgetten Magic Arcane, said Sunlight. Multiplication!!”
Sunlight created 4 copies of himself and ordered them to explore the tunnels. Then he told Sunset to stay with him, protecting themselves with a forcefield.
“Let’s go, he said. Let’s be careful.”
They began exploring with precautions the galleries. After a while, they finally made it to a large room. He informed his clones of the location and they joined him shortly after. Feeling a danger coming, he ordered them to scatter around the room and casted a forcefield for him and her. Him and his clones avoided a series of magic attacks.
“Goddamnit!! Said a voice coming from nowhere. Why is this so hard to hit you people!!? How i am supposed to kill you if you keep dodging my attacks!!”
“Shut your fucking mouth, dumbass!! Said another voice. Those guys are different from your usual targets. They can actually defend themselves.”
2 ponies showed up in the middle of the room. Both were Unicorns. The first one, tall, black and with a grey mane, was wearing a mechanic aim scope on his left eye and a sort of rifle on his back. The other one was white with a golden mane, incredibly charming and cool-looking. One of his eyes was covered by his mane. Sunlight told his clones not to engage now.
“You made it to us, congratulation!! Said the white Unicorn. We’ve heard that you defeated 5 of the 7 deadly sins. I’m impressed. But i am afraid that your winning streak stop here...And by the way, this black ball of anger is Wrecker, the sin of Wrath and i am Golden Eye, the leader of the 7 deadly sins, the sin of Pride”
“We are 6, you are 2, said Sunset. You are fairly outnumbered.”
“Really? Said Golden Eye. We’ll see...He he he he...”
Golden Eye created multiple copies of himself that he sent after Sunlight’s clones.
“What? Said Sunlight. That’s...impossible...”
“Do you think you are the only one with a special talent? Asked Golden Eye. Wrecker, show them what you can do!!”
Wrecker turned his rifle into a small gatling and started blasting at the duo a rainfire. Sunlight smiled and knocked the ground with his front hooves. Many stone and metal blades came out of the ground under the 2 ponies, forcing them to stop their attack and dodge. The two enemies dodged the attack like Sunlight predicted and summoned a violent gust of wind that sent them against the roof. He then sent the enemies crashing violently on the ground. Before Sunlight could throw his next spell, Golden Eye casted a barrier around him and his pal, then summoned rock and metal blades below Sunlight, Who lifted the ground below him and Sunset to take height and avoid the attack. Wrecker didn’t let them time to breath and blasted a magic missile at the duo. Sunlight and Sunset jumped from the plateform and landed on the ground.
“Damn those two, said Sunlight. How can this Golden Eye use the same spells as i do?”
“You want to know, uh? Said Golden Eye. Well, i won’t tell you. I am sure you will figure it out by yourself.”
Sunlight grinded his teeth and stared at the two enemies, then smiled.
“Now, you got me mad, he said. You two are going to have a bad time...”
“Oh, you two are going to feel the heat, said Sunlight to the two villains. Sunset, go away from me...Or you’ll get hurt.”
She obeyed and stepped back.
Golden Eye laughed.
“Don’t make me laugh, he said. You won’t defeat...”
Sunlight rushed at Golden Eye at light speed and kicked him from below, sending the villain in the air, then teleported above him and tried to kick him in the guts. But Golden Eye blocked the hit with a barrier and repelled Sunlight with a violent gust of wind. Golden Eye landed on the ground and Sunlight immediately attacked him from above with a kick that shattered the magic barrier and sent the villain in the ground. Far from over, he teleported near Wrecker, his right hoove charged with magic energy and punched Wrecker so violently that he was sent 2 meters deep into one of the wall. He then took care of the clones created by Golden Eye one after another with precise and devastating blows to vital organs. He teleported back in front of the real Golden Eye, who was out of commission. Sunlight looked at Sunset and smiled.
“Ugh, what a Show-off, this guy” she said, smiling.
“Let’s get those two back to Twilight. Said Sunlight. Discord?”
Golden Eye and Wrecker were teleported away and sent to Twilight’s castle where she was trying to enjoy a book.
“Your Highness, said Discord. Those are the last two members of the deadly sins.”
“Perfect, she said. That mean that there is only the boss and the rest of the organization to take care of...Discord, bring me to Las Pegasus..”
“Let me guess, he said. You want to help Sunlight and Sunset, right? Didn’t he told you to let him handle this?”
“I do, but i got a bad feeling that he might get in trouble. Plus, i also want to do my part in taking down the Thousand Eyes. And Sunlight must probably be exhausted from battling all the 7 sins.”
“Alright, he said. But who will take your place on the throne? You can’t just leave the castle with all the paperwork you have to do...”
“I’ll let you take my place for the time i’ll be gone, she said. Spike, please keep an eye of Discord to be sure he doesn’t cause trouble.”
Discord teleported Twilight away. He then took her appearance and looked at Spike.
“Finally!! He said. I got to be a princess!!! That’s wonderful!!”
“Yeah....No. Said Spike. Trust me, Discord, you’ll be begging for her to come back soon.”
“Come on, i am Discord, the all powerful Lord of Chaos, he said. I am not scared of paperworks...”
“Well, good for you, said Spike. Because there is a lot of it to do...”
Sunlight and Sunset were back on the surface, at the entrance of the tunnels.
“Now that the 7 deadly sins have been taken care of, said Sunset. That only let us the Boss and his subordinates to deal with. Now, do you know where his lair might be?”
“No, said Sunlight. The location of his lair was a secret even among the 7 deadly sins.”
“His lair could be anywhere in Las Pegasus, said Sunset. Or it could even be anywhere outside the city! Where should we look first?”
“Searching for his base in this town will take too much time, said Sunlight. I say we wait for him, or her, to contact us. I am pretty sure we definitively got his attention by taking out the 7 Pillars of his organization.”
Meanwhile, at the Thousand Eyes headquarter, the boss was smiling devilishly, hidden in the shadows.
“So, what’s next, dear Boss?” asked the unicorn at his sides.
“I think it’s time to settle this, he answered. Being able to defeat 6 of the 7 elite members of the organization is certainly worth my attention. I am glad i will finally have the opportunity to use it...”
“You don’t mean...” said his second.
“Yes, answered the boss. I prefer having all the chances on my side. Tell one of our men to lure them into our base.”
“Immediately boss” said the unicorn.
Sunlight and Sunset were chatting at a coffee shop with Twilight, who arrived a few minutes ago.
“I know you told me that you could handle this by yourself, said Twilight. And you did a pretty good job up to now. But i just have a bad feeling about the boss of the organization. After all, being at the head of an evil organization that have total control of the most wealthiest and luxurious city in Equestria, i am sure he have tons of connections with many influent figures of Equestria. I am sure he have dangerous magic weapons, artifacts or spells. Plus, i kinda want to play an important role in the dismantlement of the Thousand Eyes Organization.”
“You might wanna step out of this one Twilight, said Sunset. If you were to be badly injured or killed in the battle, Equestria would be without a ruler and the Elements of Harmony would be rendered useless. Sure, Sunlight could protect you, and i am sure he will. But that would drag him down on the offensive side.”
“Well, sure, said Twilight. But....”
“I am not worried for her, said Sunlight. Twilight can certainly handle herself very well. She is as much gifted in magic as i am myself, if not more. I mean, she is an alicorn, for Celestia’s sake.”
“Thank you for not just seeing me as a dead weight to the group, said Twilight. You forgot that i, along with Sunlight and you, Sunset, were known as the Ace Trio back at Celestia’s magic school. The 3 best students of our classes and of the whole school”
“That’s funny, she said. All i remember is you getting all the attention and love of Celestia.”
“That’s because you were acting like a little bitch back then, said Twilight. No offense”
“Okay, i admit, i was very arrogant and proud back then, said Sunset. But i think using the term «little bitch» is a bit exagerated, don’t you think? I mean, i was not that bad, were i?”

“Oh, Like you were better! Said Sunset. You were so full of yourself that you were looking down on everyone else that you said, were, and i quote «A waste of time», «Not gifted» or «Magically retarted». The only fillies that you were opened too were me and Twilight.” Thinking about it, the 3 of us were not really good at socializing.”
“Hey, woah there, said Sunlight. I don’t deny using the two first terms, but i think you might make the third one up. There is no such thing as being «magically retarded». I prefer the term «Simple-Minded». It’s way less mean than straight up calling them retards”
“We were quite the odd ones in the bunch, said Twilight. And speaking of being odd...”
Starlight Glimmer appeared in the middle of the Coffee Shop with many bags
“Sorry for being late, she said. I just couldn’t resist the urge of doing shopping!!”
“You invited her too? Said Sunlight. Great, like if there was not enough gifted Unicorns in the group.”
“We better put all the chances on our sides, said Starlight, hugging Sunset and Sunlight. With the 4 of us working as a team, no enemy stand a chance against our magic skills and clever bright minds.”
“Fine, But i am the leader” said Sunlight.
“Don’t you think i would be best suited as leader?” asked Twilight.
“This is my mission, answered Sunlight. I started it, so i am the one leading the operation. Now, let me see your IQ, just for fun”
“Wow!! My IQ is 316? Answered Starlight, who saw the number appear in front of her. That makes me a super genius!”
“And mine is 357, answered Twilight. Which, according to Sunset’s world standards, is extremely rare, relevating of science-fiction, even. What’s yours, Sunlight?”
“About the same as yours, answered Sunlight. 357. It seem you and me are evenly matched in terms of intelligence. What about you, Sis?”
“186” answered Sunset, embarrassed.
Starlight held back a small laugh, that came out as a snort. Sunset stared at her with knife eyes.
“That thing must be broken, said Sunlight. It can’t be right. My sister can’t have such a low IQ. Let me try again”
“Low? Said Sunset, pissed. Having an IQ of 186 makes me a genius, you jerk. Go all fuck yourself with your I.Q of over 300!!! You know what? You can all finish this mission without me, i am going to look for Capper and start finding that piece of arftifact we came here for...”
“I’m sorry, Sunset, Said Starlight, it was just a joke!! It doesn’t matter if your IQ is lower than ours!! You still are very intelligent!”
Sunset had already left the place.
“It’s probably better that way, said Sunlight. It’s best for her and me if she stays out of danger. I will be able to fully focus on the fight that way.”
Twilight noticed a shady pony watching them from a window. Sunlight and Starlight also noticed him a few second afters. The pony started running away and the Trio chased him outside. The mysterious pony looked at them and continued running. The chase lasted for a couple of minute and ended when the fugitive suddenly disappeared in front of them.
“Where did he go? Asked Starlight. One second he was running, the next one, he just vanished!”
Sunlight advanced to the spot where the pony vanished but felt nothing.
“It must be an illusion, said Twilight. But who would cast one here?”
Sunlight smiled.
“I guess the final confrontation will start soon, he said. That pony was probably sent to bait us into following him to the leader of the Thousand Eyes’ base. And as i thought, it’s entrance is protected by a reality-alterating spell.”
“Reality...Bending? Said Starlight. This is very advanced magic....The pony who casted it must be extremely skilled....”
“Or it could be the work of a powerful magic artifact, said Twilight. But which one is it?”
“Well see it soon, said Sunlight, who was about to cast a spell. Magic Cancellation!!!”
After a few seconds, the entrance of the base became visible to everyone.
“What did you just do, Sunlight?” asked Twilight.
“I casted Magic Cancellation, he answered. A special spell that disable temporary the magic of an artifact, preventing it from working.”
“That is an ancient spell, said Starlight. And a complicated one to learn. Where did you learn it?”
“There is lot of perks of being close friends with the Lord of Chaos, said Sunlight. Let’s just say he owed me a favor for saving his ass.”
He showed them the Spell book.
“That book, said Twilight, Discord gave it to you? He must have been really grateful to you if he gave you that book. Hum...Think i could borrow it someday? You know i love books, especially magic ones.”
“Give me one reason why i should let you, or Starlight for that matter, have this book?” said Sunlight.
Twilight started begging on her knees with puppy eyes, but it didn’t affected Sunlight one bit.
Starlight suddenly had an idea and smiled.
“I think i might have a solution that will satisfy everyone, she said. Remember when i duplicated your Journal of Friendship?”
“I do, answered Twilight. Of course, what a great idea!!”
“Can you pass me your book so i can duplicate it?” asked Starlight to him.
Sunlight put the book on the ground and let Starlight use a duplication spell on it. The magic spell book separated in 3 identical copies.
“There, said Starlight, taking one of the copies. 3 books, one for each of us, happy?”
“Thank you, Starlight!! Said Twilight. I will cherish that book like it was my baby!”
“Well, That was easy, said Sunlight. Now, let’s not waste any more time, it’s time to face our enemies”
A mysterious unicorn was watching on a magic security camera Sunlight, Starlight and Twilight beating up grunts of their organization. The 3 magic geniuses were making mincemeat of their opponents and were making it a competition.
“Keep going, he said. I got a lot more in stock for you...The game has just began. Time to send in the Juggernauts!!”
Sunlight and his allies had finished taking care of the goons.
“He’s playing with us, said Starlight. Sending in his goons to weaken us and analyse our magic techniques.”
“What did you expect? Said Sunlight. Did you think we would directly be taking the boss down after breaking in his base?”
They heard loud stomping noises coming in their direction. 4 huge and heavily armored Ponies made their entrance on the field. Their armor was black and covered of deadly spikes and they were equipped with two cannons on their shoulders.
“A new enemy has appeared! Said Starlight. And they look like big problem”
Twilight shot a beam of magic at one of the Juggernauts, which faded before touching the armor.
“That’s what i feared, said Twilight. Their armor are covered with of the same substance as Chrysalis’ Throne. Our magic won’t work against them.”
“Then, said Sunlight, we’ll just have to break it the old fashioned way...”
“Easy to say, said Starlight. For an Earth Pony, this would probably not be a problem, but in case you didn’t notice, we are Unicorns, Our specialty is casting magic spells, not brawling.”
“You are right, none of us would be able to pierce through their armors, said Sunlight. But we don’t need to.”
“Please elaborate” said Twilight.
“It is unlikely their whole armor is made of this magic nullifying crystal, said Sunlight. One shard would be enought to protect their armors against magic. All we have to do is find them and break them. Then, we will be able to fight them with magic.”
One of the Juggernauts aimed his cannons at Sunlight and fired two strange projectiles at him. He swiflty avoided them and the projectiles hit the wall behind him, Which got covered in a black substance similar to goo, the substance hardened shortly after.
“If i tried to shield this attack instead of dodging it, thought Sunlight, It would have been over for me. I suspect that goo to have magic cancelling properties, so better stay cautious...”
Another Juggernaut aimed his cannons, this time at Starlight. He fired two projectiles at her, which she avoided at the last moment, the two projectiles hit the wall behind her and pierced right through it like it was butter.
“If this attack had landed, said Starlight to herself, I would have been disintegrated. What a bothersome attack...”
The third Juggernaut fired also two projectiles from his cannons, which were aimed at Twilight. She sent them back at the enemy. The projectiles made a huge hole in the enemy’s armor, but didn’t seem to affect it one bit. Sunlight noticed that there was no being behind the armor, only an empty shell and also that the armor started repairing itself magically.
“No doubt, thought Sunlight. Those things are remotely controlled by magic casters. Furthermore, i suspect that those armors are reinforced by a magic reconstruction spell. If those things had a shard of Chrysalis’ throne in their armor, it would be impossible to use magic to move them nor having self-regenerative armors...Now that i think about it, the magic beam from earlier just got reflected, not nullified. Meaning those armors must reflect magic beams. If i was able to determine which metal they are made of, i could transform it into a softer material or...”
Sunlight used his magic to bend the metal below the Juggernauts and immobilize them.
“Did you just bend metal?” asked Starlight.
“Yes, he answered. Now, i need to ask you to leave the room...If you don’t want to be reduced to ashes...”
The two looked at each other and went back in the previous room. Sunlight smiled and looked at the enemies. A few minutes later, he told them they could enter. They entered the room and were shocked.
“What happened? Asked Starlight. Why is everything looking like it had been molten...And where are those 4 Juggernauts that were after us?”
“You are right above one of them, answered Sunlight. I buried them 6 feets under... Litteraly.”
“I’m impressed, said Twilight. Melting the floor with your fire magic to make your enemies sink, then use water and air magic to cool the floor, trapping them in a prison they’ll never break out of. Somehow, you found a way to go around their magic immunity and regeneration. Good job!”
“Thank you, said Sunlight. Honestly, Were you expecting anything less from me?”
Starlight sighed.
“Let’s continue, said Twilight. This way!”
The trio left the room and continued making their way to the boss.
“They are not bad, said the boss. I guess i have no choice but to send you fight them, my dear Overkill.”
“You are already sending me in? Said his Right-Hand Man. I’m flattered you’re letting me kill them...Just stay here and enjoy the bloodbath i am about to cause.”
“Be careful, said the boss. Those 3 are dangerous and quite smart, especially that stallion, get rid of him first.”
“Their magic won’t be of any use against me, he said. They won’t even be a bother...”
He left the room and headed for the trio with the intention of killing them before they reach the next floor. Sunlight and the girls were in front of a heavily reinforced door. He cutted it clean in half with a laser beam and smashed it.
“We must be near the room where the leader is waiting, said Twilight. The security system is only getting better and better.”
“I sense someone nearby, said Sunlight. Someone with a massive magic aura. It must certainly be the boss or his second in command. Be on your guards.”
“So, you can sense my overwhelming magic aura? Said Overkill, who was standing at the opposite end of the room. I’m not surprise. Your aura and those of your two girlfriends are also really incredible. But not enough to beat me...”
“His girlfriend? Said Starlight. Pfft, He wish i was!!”
“If i wanted you as a girlfriend, said Sunlight. You’ll already be mine by now. Same goes for you, Princess Twilight.”
“Hey, don’t ignore me!! Said Overkill. That’s impolite!!”
He put on a black, heavy, sharp and overly weaponized battle suit, that was covering all his body, including the face. He threw a flurry of sharp blades at the group. The trio stopped them middair and redirected them at the sender. Overkill created different projectiles out of thin air and threw them at the group. The projectiles changed trajectory when Sunlight tried to block them and went behind Sunlight. Starlight saw it and turned them into paper with a spell. The trio formed a triangular formation.
“Those projectiles are sure annoying as hell, said Sunlight. But you waste your time attacking us with them. You probably intended on striking at my blind spot, infortunately, My two friends have it covered, and i cover theirs as well. This is the Triangle Formation”
“Those were just to jauge your reaction speed, said Overkill. You might not have noticed, but they were thrown at the speed of sound.”
“No wonder why they were so slow, said Sunlight. I trained myself to react to lightning speed attacks and even began training to react to light speed attack as well. If you hope to land a blow on me, you better be fast.”
Overkill pointed a laser gun at Sunlight and fired. He dodged it with just a head move. Overkill smiled and shot a rain of laser beams at the group. Sunlight avoided them by teleporting and reappeared behind Overkill.
“Hey, I’m here” he said.
Overkill grunted and tried to hit Sunlight with a sharp poisonous blade hidden in his left back hoof. Sunlight dodged the strike and countered with a kick below Overkill’s chin, sending him in the air. Starlight jumped on Sunlight’s back and rocketed through the air above Overkill.
“Let me show you a move i learned a while back, she said. I call it the Magic Meteor Punch!!”
She wrapped her left front hoof with a magic aura which she then concentrated at the tip at the moment of the attack. The impact created a magic soundwave that shook the room and sent Overkill plummeting right through the metal floor and causing a magic explosion. She landed right next to Twilight with a smug face.
“Take that, bitch! She said, proud and excited. You just got wrecked by Starlight Glimmer, yeah!!”
Sunlight gave a look into the crater made by Overkill and saw him lying down with spinning eyes and his armor shattered into pieces. He lifted the assassin right out of the hole and tied him up against the floor with metal sheets.
“Just to be sure, he said. Oh, and that was an excellent finisher move you did back there. I couldn’t have done better myself!”
“Why, thank you!! She said, blushing. I just wanted to look badass, glad it impressed both of you!”
“Well well, said the boss via a magic screen. I must say i wasn’t expecting you to take out my right hand man so quickly! I bet that he would last 5 minutes top. Yet, you took him out in less than 2. To congratulate you, let me show you the way to my location!”
An hidden door opened to their right and the trio walked toward it with caution. After avoiding dozen of traps, Sunlight was the first to make it to the final room, followed shortly by Twilight and Starlight. An evil laugh drew their attention. The boss finally revealed himself to the trio, his body and head covered by a terrifying looking White and golden armor and a helmet that covered his horn. He removed his mask to show his face. Twilight had a shock when she saw who he was.
“Gladmane? Said Twilight. So, you are the boss of this criminal organization? Wait, why does the helmet even have a horn if you don’t even have one”
“You know this guy?” asked Sunlight.
“Yes, answered Twilight. He was the former owner of the most famous Resort in Las Pegasus. He was a scumbag that lied to his employees and blackmailed them. Fluttershy, Applejack and the FlimFlam brothers worked together and were able to expose his lies to everyone.”
“I lost a lot this day, said Gladmane. My reputation, my resort, but not my money. I used it to buy abandonned buildings and small companies. Then turned them into drug and money making establishement. I started gaining notoriety in the criminal world, the bad kind. But with my wits and charms and a good amount of luck, i was able to gain influent allies. We started by taking over the casinos, then the banks. We then bought the police and the mayor with the money we gained. It took me time and efforts to build my empire, and i won’t let you destroy it. I will gain a lot of notoriety by taking down the ruler of Equestria and the headmare of the school of Friendship. And to answer your other question about my helmet, the armor belonged to an Unicorn.”
He looked at Sunlight.
“I didn’t forgot about you, Sunlight Blaze, said Gladmane. I have a very special treatment for the pony responsible for destroying my organization.”
“Pfft, you think that just a flashy armor will be enough to defeat us?” asked Sunlight.
“This armor is made of the most solid metal in this world, said Gladmane. Certainly you have heard of the Aurium. This metal is found only on a small, dangerous, remote island. Plus, i combined it with shards of Chrysalis’ throne my henchmen found in a remote cave. Your magic won’t work on me, my dear. And if you think you can dent it with physical attacks, give up, not even the combined attacks of hundreds of dragons and yaks would make a scratch. Oh, one last thing...”
A set of sharp blades and spikes appeared from all over the armor, dripping of a black liquid.
“If i were you, i wouldn’t want to touch those things, said Gladmane. They were soaked in a very powerful paralyzing and venomous toxin. One drop and you’ll be completely down in less than a minute.”
“This poison might work on those two, said Sunlight. But not on me. Your armor might nullify our spells and magic, and be made of a very resilient metal, but i swear i will rip it off from your body. Count on it.”
Gladmane smiled and charged at Sunlight. He avoided it quite easily, the villain continued rushing, this time aimed for Twilight. Sunlight lifted the ground below her before Gladmane could reach her. Starlight was looking the fight from a distance.
“Well, i only see one way to beat that bastard, said Sunlight. Discord, if you can hear me, can you give me my super suit?”
A belt fell in front of Sunlight. He lifted it with magic and put it around his waist and pushed a button. A suit appeared part by parts from it until his body was covered. He pushed another button and the suit turned into an hi-tech armor. Gladmane laughed.
“Nice armor you got there, said Gladmane. But you don’t actually believe it mesure up to mine, right?”
“You are right, said Sunlight. I will need far more firepower if i want to take you down. Magic Multiplication!”
He made 5 copies of himself, all wearing the super armor.
“So, how about 6 of us?” he said behind his helmet.
Gladmane started to be afraid, but quickly got rid of the feeling.
“2, 5, 10 or 20, it doesn’t matter, said Gladmane. Nothing can break this armor, i am invincible in it!!”
Sunlight and his clones all attacked Gladmane at once, using their thrusters and jet boots to take momentum. Gladmane laughed as the attacks of the Sunlights had no effect on him. This only had for effect to push Sunlight and his clones to hit harder and faster.
“It’s useless! Said Gladmane. No matter how hard you hit, you won’t break it!!”
His armor started to glow and suddenly released a powerful shockwave that sent Sunlight and his clones flying away.
“Sunlight!! Said Twilight. Are you okay?!”
“Of course, i am, he said while getting up. If 5 clones are not enough, then i’ll make more...”
He made his clones disappear.
“So, you give up? Said Gladmane? Finally realized that your attacks are futile?”
“Magic Multiplication, times 20!!” he shouted.
20 clones appeared around Gladmane.
“Don’t underestimate us!” said all the Sunlights at once.
They attacked in succession, giving powerful punches and kicks at Gladmane.
“There must be something we can do to help, said Starlight. Sunlight’s risking his life right now. Making all those clones must put a lot of strain on his body. Wait, i have an idea!! Discord, if you hear me, can you bring a Changeling friend at our location?”
“Of course, said Twilight. The anti-magic property of chrysalis’ throne doesn’t affect changeling magic abilties. Good idea, Starlight!”
Pharynx appeared in the middle of the room, confused.
“Wait, where am i?! What is this place? He said. Oh, hi Starlight, How are you doing?”
“Good, she answered. We need your help.”
He looked at the fight between Sunlight and Gladmane. Gladmane knocked Sunlight and his clones back to the group. Sunlight spitted blood.
“That fucking armor... Said Sunlight. Damn it...But i won’t give up.....”
Sunlight started overheating from rage. He was so blinded by it that he didn’t notice Pharynx
“I am gonna burn this whole thing to the ground!! He said, mad. Your armor might cancel magic, but let’s see if you can survive being exposed to the temperature of the Sun’s surface!!”
“I know you are bluffing, said Gladmane. You barely have any magic left in you. And even if you had the energy to pull it off you’ll destroy the town that you want to save.”
“I’m sorry, Sunlight, said Starlight. But this is for your own good....”
She knocked him down with a sleep-inducing spell.
“Pharynx, said Twilight. Please help us to get rid of his magic nullifying armor.”
The Changeling turned into a Bugbear and charged at Gladmane. This one put himself into a defensive position. Thorax smiled and turned into a Flash bee to enter inside the armor. Once between the armor and the skin of Gladmane, Thorax turned into a snake and bit him on the leg. Gladmane screamed of pain.
“You bastard, said Gladmane. Get out of my armor!!”
Pharynx turned into a venomous spider and bit Gladmane again, this time on the right butt cheek. He then left the armor and turned back into his original form. Gladmane started feeling dizzy.
“What...What is happening to me? He asked. My muscles, i can’t move them, my vision is...Blurred...Why can’t i breathe normally...And that pain...It is unbearable...”
“Your state is the result of the bite of the Diamond-Necked Snake and the bite of the White-Widow Spider, said the Changeling. The Diamond-Necked snake’s venom paralyze the muscles and weaken the senses of the victim. As for the White-Widow spider, it’s venom cause intense pain and hallucinations. Be rassured, their venom is non-lethal.”
Gladmane laughed, despite the pain.
“Well, that was fun the time it lasted, he said. I...Lost, you did it, you defeated me. But even with the Thousand Eyes out of commission, crime will still exist in this city, and in all of Equestria as well. Another one will take my place...This will never end. You don’t even know the full scale of the criminality that pleague this world. I’ve seen it...What you faced is only a glimpse of the criminal world.”
Gladmane lost consciousness.
“He is right, unfortunately, said Sunlight. We only scrapped off the surface of all the crime that pleague this world. I should have thought about calling a changeling to help us. Well, thanks for the help, Thorax...”
“Already awake? Said Starlight. My spell should have made you slept for at least 12 hours.”
“I was never asleep, said Sunlight. Your spell was absorbed by my armor. I just fell because of exhaustion.”
“Well, let’s bring this guy for trial, said Twilight. Thank you so much, Sunlight, for all the work you have done for Equestria. When you will see Sunset again, tell her that she have all my gratitude as well. Now, if you excuse me, i have to return to Canterlot. I hope Discord didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I also have to leave, said Starlight. As headmare of the School of Friendship, i have lot of work to do.”
Sunlight looked at Pharynx.
“Are you are going to leave to? He asked. If you are not too busy at the moment, i could really use your help in my quest.”
“To be honest with you, answered Pharynx. I feel bored, Equestria is at an all-time calm and our kingdom haven’t been attacked once. I wouldn’t mind going on an adventure. Princess, Can you tell to my brother i am going to be absent for a while?”
Sure, she said. Come on, Starlight, let’s get back home.”
The two mares teleported outside the base with Gladmane. Sunlight and Pharynx left shortly after. The Unicorn evacuated all the thugs left in the base and burried it under tons of rock and dirt.
Sunset arrived in company of Capper at his location.
“There you are, said Sunlight. So, Capper, found any hints about that piece?”
“Even better, said Capper, showing the piece to him. I heard that you pretty much cleaned the city from crime while i was looking for this.”
“Then, let’s leave this city, said Sunlight. Oh, and Twilight told me to tell you that she is very grateful for what you did.”
“Who is the changeling to your side?” she asked.
“This is Pharynx, answered Sunlight. He is the older brother of the King of the Changelings. He will be travelling with us for now on. Also, without him helping us, we would still be fighting Gladmane.”
“Gladmane? Asked Sunset. You’ll tell me what happened in my absence, cause i think i missed a part.”
Sunlight fell on the floor and coughed blood.
“Sunlight!!! She said. Can you hear me?! What happened?!”
“If i had to guess, said Pharynx, He propably overexhausted his body by making all those clones i saw when i arrived.”
“I should have stayed to his side, said Sunset. Who did he fought?”
“If i remember, said the Changeling. Twilight and him mentionned Gladmane wearing an armor that negated magic.”
“Damn it, said Sunset. Why did you have to be be so reckless, Sunlight. You idiot!”
Sunlight swiped off the blood from his mouth and got up.
“I’ll be fine, he said. My body recover quickly. Wait are we waiting for? Capper, where do we need to go next?”
“The island of the Storm King, said Capper. I already prepared a ship to get us here. I won it in a bet”
The group walked in direction of the port. Ready to continue their adventures.
