A Fiery Friend

I definitely should've known better than to buy strange flaming katanas from an even stranger merchant. They may have not been worth it

A Fiery Angel...

I bought dual flaming katanas that turned me into a Fiery Angel that can only remember MLP:fim, said Fiery Angel as an OC named Rubae, and buying said katanas from a weird Merchant. Seriously, how stupid was I before that!?

Well, at least I woke up in a fireball I noticed was crashing down into the Everfree forest.

No wait, that was an even worse part!

Someone, please tell me I'll get at least something good out of this

*Golden Oaks Library

Twilight and Spike had had a busy day today with reorganizing the Golden Oaks Library again and still coming to terms with Twilight as a Princess now. All she wanted to do was flop on her bed and drift off into Luna's domain now, at least until she saw the big ball of fire headed straight for the Everfree.

She automatically addressed the baby dragon already curled up in his bed and said, "Spike, come on, one last thing for the day!" as she looked through the telescope and ran out the front door, the dragon begrudgingly following after her.

"Twilight, I'm tired, I know you're tired so what can be important enough that we can ignore a good rest after today!"

"A strange meteor of some sort. It was still at least about 3 meters in diameter on its way down to the planet!"

...

"So?"

"Soooooo, meteors are usually only pea-sized when they are at the largest, about 1 meter if they survive the friction at all!!! Not to mention this meteor had an abnormal amount of magical energy radiating from it."

That last sentence caught Spike's attention and he said, "Ooooo, do you think we'll find an alien creature with that meteor, like in my comics!?" His mind started to go into hyperdrive as he started to imagine what amazing alien he could find.

Twilight turned to him and raised an eyebrow saying, " Probably not. The most likely outcome, if anything, will be an extraterrestrial new magical energy from another world." She then turned back to the forest and headed back to it, not thinking about any dangers it could hold.

Spike then hesitated and stopped as they got to the border of the forest hesitantly saying, "Are you sure we should check it out, especially since it's night now? The Everfree is always more dangerous at night. Also, can't we just check it out tomorrow."

Twilight said, "No, the magical energy probably would have faded by then, and in all honestly I just can't wait to see what this could be!"

Twilight felt like this could be her biggest contribution to magical studies, other than finishing Starswirl's spell. There has been no other recording of any type of extraterrestrial magic that she knew of so she knew she couldn't pass up this opportunity. Even though she was an immortal alicorn now, she felt she shouldn't pass up this once in a lifetime opportunity.

"Alright, just please protect me while we're in here with your new alicorn magic."

"Cross my Heart and Hope to Fly, stick a cupcake in my Eye, " said Twilight, doing the gestures as they walked into the forest.

My POV
*Above the Everfree

I was panicking for three Good reasons.

First off, I was stuck in a giant meteor hurtling towards the ground. Secondly, the meteor was emblazoned to the point that it was turning into magma all around me. Finally, I felt as if I was on fire myself. That drew me to the conclusion I had already started taking magma damage from the large firey rock.

As I was screaming from the top of my lungs, I finally realized the meteor was about to hit the ground in a thick forest at a very high speed. This gave me two new reasons to panic since I would no doubt die on impact at this speed and even if I did somehow survive, I would no doubt get lost in the large thick forest. Five seconds from impact, I thought to myself, " Well, at least I've had a good run in life."

However, I suddenly realized a millisecond before impact that I couldn't remember my life. Everything was then an explosion of rock and magma spreading from where I hit. I was sore and still hot, but despite what I believed, a quick once-over of myself showed I seemed to be fine. I, for some reason, didn't have a single scratch on me. Recapping the once over in my head showed something else as well.

My body seemed to have changed with a faint scaley red skin and fire style long hair. Both my elbows had red gemstones that I assumed were either Rubies or Garnets. I also noticed that for some reason, the heat, while noticeable, didn't cause any pain or discomfort even though I was practically standing in one of the magma puddles developed from the crash. Finally, I felt like there was some sort of sensation on my back, but when I looked back there I saw nothing.

'Huh, weird. I think I try to figure that out later. For now, with a lot of new things added to my panic list, I think I'll either have a mental breakdown or faint from disbelief.' My body went with fainting as I fell to the ground.

My POV five hours ago
*Convention memory in a dream

I was having a great time at a convention, dressed as my OC Rubae, especially since I had always wanted to go to one and finally got some tickets. It wasn't Comic-Con, but it did still have a lot of things I enjoyed including and not limited to MLP:fim. I saw a good amount of people dressed up as MLP characters, both pony and anthro. Rubae was a character I made long before I started watching MLP and while he had an MLP form, I decided to go with the original form. A half-human half-dragon bipedal being that could summon pure fire wings on his back and dual flaming katanas from rubies on his elbows.

The only thing bothering me was the fact my OC didn't have his flaming katanas. I looked everywhere, but I couldn't find the proper katanas for my costume. The katanas were what I always remembered first when I thought of him so it really ticked me off when I couldn't find them.

I got up off a table where I had had my hotdog for lunch and started looking around the stalls around me, selling many things from many different pieces of entertainment.

"Hey!"

A sudden voice seemingly called out to me, causing me to stop in my tracks and look around. My eyes eventually stopped on a weird-looking merchant in a stall that was looking my way, gave a slight wave, and motioned for me to come over to him.

I hesitantly started walking to him and cautiously said, "Hello, can I help you?"

"Actually, I think there's something I can do to help you. I noticed your costume and something seems to tell me it was never properly finished. Is my assumption correct?"

I gave him a slight nod and looked around at the items in his stall. There seemed to be many different items from many different fiction universes from the Infinity Gauntlet to Percy Jackson's pen/sword. There were also other items I didn't recognize from anywhere, but I just assumed they were from a smaller piece of fiction I hadn't heard of.

"Well then, I think I may be able to help you, " he said as he seemingly searched around the back of his stall for something.

"Ah, here they are!"

He placed down a pair of dual katanas on the counter that seemed very realistic and exactly what I was looking for. They even had some sort of mirage that made them look like they were indeed on fire.

"Amazing, but how did you know this was what I needed or that I needed something for my costume in the first place?"

"I simply pieced it together from those sheath loops on your upper arms."

"Sheath loops?" I questioned as I looked down at my arms. My eyes widened as I also noticed the loops of cloth on each of my arms as I was fairly certain I never made them part of my costume. I considered it when I was hoping to add the katanas originally but decided against it when I couldn't find them. I simply put it off though as my memory serves me wrong.

I then looked back to the merchant and asked, "Okay, how much?"

"Oh, don't worry, you can just have them. That much is already an award enough."

"Seriously? " I said with a raised eyebrow, "That easy for these incredible katanas?"

"Yup"

Alright, thanks, " I said as I was slipping the katanas into their sheaths.

"No, thank you, " he said with a smile as I suddenly became engulfed with flames, coming from the katanas, and vanished in those flames with a puff of smoke.

*In the Everfree by my still unconscious body

As Twilight and Spike finally reached the crash site, Twilight said to Spike, "Spike, how many times do I say that there's not going to be an alien of any sort. It's not even possible for a living creature to have that much magic contained within them!" She then turned to the crash site and noticed the body.

Spike turned to the wide-eyed gaping Twilight and sarcastically said, "I guess we'll determine a new thing about possibilities then."

3rd Person POV
*At the Meteor Crash site

As Twilight walked to the Crash site she went slackjawed and started questioning many things in her head. Was this creature some sort of extraterrestrial magic mirage, if not how did it exist in the first place, how could there be this much magic in a living organism...

She heard Spike say something but didn't listen as she went through many possible theories in her head to answer these questions, none of which seemed to completely answer the questions. It was like her studies took a complete 180 and that she would have to start from scratch.

She did finally snap out of her trance as she heard a loud howl and noticed a horrid smell. She also saw the creature seem to shift a little in the corner of her eye but decided to keep her attention to where the howl and smell were coming from.

"Spike, get behind me. There seems to be a Timber Wolf nearby, " said Twilight as Spike quickly went behind her and she quickly lit her horn. It was then that she noticed not only one, but two pairs of green glowing eyes in the darkness. She then made sure to make a forcefield around them, glaring at them herself, waiting for them to make the first move so she could figure out the proper fight strategy that her BBBFF taught her years ago, including multiple powerful opponents.

As the Wolfs seemed to slowly crawl from the darkness towards her, she noticed they seemed to start going around her. They were trying to flank her. She then knew to try to not let them by backing up a little and moving to the side, putting them back in front of her.

She kept doing this anytime they would attempt it again eventually annoying them and causing one of them to leap and attack her, exactly what she was counting on. She took this as an opportunity to test her new magic and shot it at the beast, hitting it head-on, knocking it back at a thick tree, splintering it on impact.

"Dang, " said a little dragon looking around Twilight's leg, "That was cool!"

"Shush, Spike we don't want to provoke it any more than we already have!"

The other Timber Wolf took that moment that Twilight was distracted to make his own attack, leaping and tackling her a few feet back. It not for her new alicorn durability and now broken force field, she knew she would've been a goner, still, it hurt like hell.

"Twilight!" yelled the untouched dragon. Spike then turned to the wolf and tried breathing fire on it, since he knew that wood was vulnerable to fire.

"Spike NOO!"

Spike may have been a fire-breathing dragon, but he was also a baby dragon that was fighting a full-grown Timber Wolf and by the time he realized his mistake, it was too late, the unharmed Wolf glaring down at the now nervous-looking dragon.

"Heh, so how's the hunt. You must be full right?" Spike hopefully said.

The annoyed Timber Wolf then got ready to chow down and...

My POV five minutes ago

As I groggily woke up, I recalled my dream and how it had actually happened in real life. Looking myself over again proved to show that I really had turned into Rubae and luckily I didn't pass out or have a mental breakdown this time, managing to calm myself. I knew if this was really happening neither would get me anywhere and what would help with that if this was like any Displaced story I had read, would first be to determine whether I was in a new world or not, if so what world, and at least until I know where I am, learn how to use/control Rubae's powers.

That information was quickly answered as I heard shouting and saw Twilight Sparkle tackled backward into a tree by a Timberwolf, answering those first two questions. She also was an alicorn already so I knew I was at least after season 3 if this was a canon universe. After I hearing Twilight shout again, it brought me back from my thoughts and I saw Spike trying to take on the Timberwolf.

I automatically knew he wouldn't be able to burn it down based on its size and decided then to test my new Rubae abilities to hopefully save the little drake. I pulled from each elbow at the rubies while imagining I was taking out my flaming katanas and hoping I would do it properly. Luckily as I did so the rubies started glowing as a pair of dual flaming katanas were summoned out of them. I was surprised seeing both katanas in my hands, but I knew I needed to hurry.

Luckily right as the Timberwolf has about to chow down, I swiped one of the katanas in the beast's direction, imagining the flames from the blade extending towards it. Once again, the action happened to my surprise right at the nick of time. The Timberwolf was now properly engulfed in flames from the swipe of fire and was slowly falling apart. The Timberwolf, dragon, and Alicorn all quickly turned towards me as it was their turn to be surprised by a third party joining the fight. The Timberwolf was reaching its ending point with the fire eating away at it, but it seemed to want to go down fighting as it charged towards me about to tackle me as well.

I decided to take this moment to test Rubae's Dexterity and my skills with my new blades up close. Just as it was about to hit me I leaped over it, doing a flip and swiping both blades at its neck, decapitating the beast. As I landed, I decided to play it off like it was nothing for some reason although these abilities were getting easier now and feeling more natural. I then heard a thud behind me and a shattering of what was wood I'd imagine, but still decided not to turn around.

"Can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen, " I calmly said as I dissipated my katanas into the fire that then returned to the rubies at my elbows, "Anyways are you okay?"

All I got as a reply was a gaping alicorn and dragon. I expected that from Twilight, knowing her character and how she probably had more than a dozen questions in her mind right now, but Spike was usually one to go with the flow so that did surprise me yet again. I then realized though how cool that stunt must've looked and how that was probably what was going through his head. He probably saw me like something in his comics so far. That pretty much felt like I was in an awkward position as well as a little bit of a boost to my ego.

"Um well hi, I'm Rubae and I guess we should get you out of this forest at least, " I said gesturing to Twilight, "You seemed to be very banged up."

This finally brought both of them back to the present and Spike said, "You're right, um so who are you, and are we really just gonna act like that didn't just happen?"

"We will talk about it if you want, but I'm just trying to do higher priorities first. In this case, this mare's wellbeing, " I said as I helped Twilight up. I was making sure not to show I already knew them by not using their names so they wouldn't see me even stranger than they already do.

"So, can one you tell me the way to whatever civilization you are from. Also knowing your names would probably help."

"Oh right, where are our manners," said Twilight through a small grunt of pain, "I'm Twilight Sparkle and this here is Spike. Ponyville is in that direction."

I looked and started heading in the direction Twilight had pointed me to, making sure Twilight and Spike were both still okay on the way there.'I wonder if Pinkie will still try to get my New Pony in Ponyville party prepared even though her friend here is hurt?'
"Well off to Ponyville then."

My POV

Twilight, Spike, and I were just exiting the Everfree as one of us finally said something, now in the morning, after a whole trek of silence. I was still a little lost in my own head about what was going on with me and I bet they were wondering the same thing.

"So can I ask what you are and where did you come from?" asked Spike as he temporarily deadpanned at me.

"I suppose that's a fair question given I know myself I fell out of the air on a ball of fire, " I stated, "Let's talk about it on the way to the Ponyville Hospital or just your home if you believe you're okay enough?"

"I do have the right healing materials at my home and am well educated in healing magic. The most I'll need would be a good night's rest. Okay, let's head to my home, Golden Oaks library," said Twilight as she pointed in another direction, although I think I know the way already from the show. Still, the mention of the library luckily narrowed this time down to postseason3/preSeason4 finale combined with the fact she's an alicorn.

As we headed over to Golden Oaks I said, "Anyways to answer your question, I'm from somewhere very distant and accidentally came here in all honesty, as for what I am is a hybrid. I am a half-dragon and half-human being. This mixture of species traits gives me extra new ones neither side of me has but can be considered similar to them. That is what you saw back there."

"Wait human? Isn't that what Lyra is always going on about, Twilight? They actually exist?"

"Of course not Spike, humans are simply myths made from the past, " said Twilight.

"You realize you just disrespected my mother right?" I said while glaring at Twilight. I knew my actual mother was really back at my universe, but for some reason, the comment still did hurt and made me want to defend my "mother's" honor. Twilight simply replied by turning to me and giving a nervous chuckle.

"Heh..."

"You know what, forget it. Anyways, something else you should know is I actually have amnesia. The only things I do remember are basic facts about myself like what I've mentioned so far and a brief few moments before I was sent here," I said as we exited the forest. Based on her reaction to humans it also seemed to show she hadn't gone to the EqG world yet either, narrowing this time down very specifically in between season 3 and the first EqG movie.

"Wait amnesia, " said Twilight as she comprehended my words and turned to me, " how then were you able to fight so flawlessly back there?"

"I suppose you could consider it part of the basic facts about me I mentioned, plus it feels like a natural instinct to me, like the fighting style is genetically imbued in me."

"Incredible!" Twilight exclaimed, " Spike, please make sure to get all this down."

"Way ahead of you Twilight, " said the young drake who knew that Twilight would want to record this. He was already holding the notepad and quill they had brought to the forest to get recordings of the strange meteor and scribbling away. "I would like to ask my own question?" Spike said to which I replied with a nod, " How did you manage to seemingly dissipate those swords you were holding? One moment they were in your hands, then they seemingly turn into fire and disappear. Also, I don't remember you having them when we saw you unconscious before the fight."

"That's right, you didn't see me summoning them when I did, " I remembered, "Well another ability I have is summoning my weapons. You'll see these red gems, rubies to be exact, at my elbows. These gems are considered magical in a sense. They store a large amount of energy that I can take out in the form of dual flaming katanas by converting that energy into mass. Although, keeping some of it as energy creates the flames. Once I'm done using them I convert them back into energy, no longer controlling it, and because that energy is local to the rubies they return to them."

"So basically converting mass and energy back and forth?"

"In simpler terms, yes and based on the name, I'm guessing this is your home," I mentioned as we walked up to the tree library.

"Yup, welcome to Golden Oaks Library," Spike said as we walked in, " our home as well as the town local library."

"Alright, let's lay Twilight down somewhere then and get to work with any healing process she'll need."

Spike then gave me a slight nod as he helped me lay her down on her bed upstairs. "Alright Twilight," Spike said, "what do you need to help with your healing."

"I'll really only need rest actually with my new alicorn abilities, " Twilight said thinking to herself out loud, "Also, you don't actually have a place to stay do you, just arriving in this world?"

"Yeah, I hadn't actually thought about that"

"Well, until further notice, you can stay here, " she said, "There are sleeping bags in the closet downstairs."

I looked at her with a grateful perspective, " Thank you so much! I promise not to be a hassle!"

"Honestly, you can't be more a hassle than the rest of what happens in this town, " Twilight smirked.

I gave her a friendly nod before letting her get her rest and making sure I knew where that closet and sleeping bag were for later tonight. However, as I casually put my hands in my pockets I noticed a small piece of paper. In case it was something from the Merchant I moved away from others as casually as possible and read the paper:

Here's a final gift from me and before the audience wonders, yes, it's a prophecy:

The MANE7's final return

By the End of Time, Tartarus must burn

With Hearts completely full of sorrow

Two mortal souls must hollow
