After the twilight was betrayed and abandoned by her friend, BBBFF and her mentor. She was imprisoned by fake cadence in a crystal cave below the canterlot. While she was in despair, a voice called "Welcome ... Master".
This is my first time writing a story so it won't be very good, anyway thanks for watching.

That's because she used magic to help me with my migraine!”, “ and the reason why she's acting strange is because I'm busy protecting Canterlot and she has to prepare for the wedding by herself so she got stressed! Back in the crystal cave, Twilight was crying when she thought of the harsh words her friends, brother, and mentor had told her on the night of the wedding rehearsal.
Until now, she had never thought that her BBBFF would kick her out of his wedding, she never thought that one day all her friends, the ponies who had been with her through adventures, the ponies who overcame their difficulties and challenges to defeat the mighty enemies of Equestria, ... So why should I believe a voice from a crystal wall won't hurt me?!” Twilight spoke with suspicion and anger well thinking of the people who betrayed her.
The voice could sense the emotions of anger, pain, hatred and despair in the heart of the young unicorn.
“I can see your memories, and I'm sorry for what you had to go through, master Twilight. But I really don't mean to hurt you, but if you can't believe me and want to be alone, I understand master Twilight,” the voice said with sympathy.
Twilight sighed, she knew she shouldn't push all her anger into a voice she just met and furthermore it didn't seem to want to hurt her even though it was weird that it could read her thoughts as well as know her name and her memories.
“I'm sorry for being grumpy with you. It's just that I've been betrayed by my friends, it makes me angry to think about them and makes it hard for me to trust anyone. But I shouldn't be angry with you anyway so I'm really sorry. ”Twilight apologized to the voice.
"It's fine master Twilight, I know you've been having a bad time, I'm sorry, too, for startling you so" the reassuring voice said. Twilight smiled at the voice, this was the first time she had stopped crying today and it was with a strange voice in a dark crystal cave.
“It is fine. So can you tell me who you are? ” she asked softly.

Twilight was staring at the crystal wall in front of her.
A few hours ago she was abandoned by her friends, her brother, and her mentor. Then she was captured by Cadence and confined in this Crystal Cave. Then in a desperate attempt to find a way out she heard a voice coming from the crystal wall in front of her. And that wall just told her that it was the Crystal Of Death.
After staring for a while she asked the crystal wall, "so you're a Crystal Of Death, but you're just a talking crystal wall, I think you're not a monster and this cave isn’t your body, right? ”
"Hmph ... You're so special" exclaimed the Crystal Of Death.
"what do you mean?" Twilight was surprised at the compliment.
“No one has ever heard of this name without fear. I thought when I said my name you would be scared and run away. Thinking that I would kill you, or thinking that I was a dark weapon trying to seduce you. And yes I am not a monster nor a wall. And if you look closely inside this wall you can see me, ” explained the Crystal Of Death.
Upon hearing that, Twilight brought her face closer to the crystal wall and narrowed her eyes to look deeper inside the wall. There she saw that inside the wall was a dark gray rhomboid crystal with a symbol of a silver scythe in the middle.
“Alright, so you are not a talking wall, and you say you are the one of the crystals created by the universe and responsible for protecting the balance of the universe. Your name is Crystal Of Death, but can you really kill someone?” asked Twilight suspiciously.
"The answer is yes and no" the Crystal Of Death answered.
That answer confused Twilight, she asked, "so... Yes or no?"
“As I said my existence is to protect the balance between life and death in the universe. I must destroy anything or anyone who threatens that balance. And one more thing, I cannot kill someone directly, after all I am just a power created by the universe” Crystal Of Death explained.
Twilight was bewildered "I don't understand, if you don't do it then who will?"

After listening to the Crystal Of Death, explaining that if she agreed to become the owner of the Crystal Of Death she would be emotionless, and she would assume the responsibility of protecting the balance between life and death. Above all else, she must destroy anyone or anything that threatens that balance and this is something she has never thought of before. It's scary to kill someone even if it's her enemy.

"What ritual?" Twilight asked.
However the Crystal Of Death did not answer. Instead, a light emitted from within the crystal wall… from inside the wall a dark gray crystal appeared. This is the first time that Twilight has ever seen the crystal so clearly and she can feel a terrifying power from the crystal, this power is even stronger than all the power of Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Discord and the Element Of Harmony added together and factored up to a hundred times.
"Now repeat after me, master Twilight" the Crystal Of Death said.

But she felt a tremendous power in her heart and it gradually spread throughout her body. She could feel the power of Crystal Of Death flowing into her veins. And then suddenly she lost consciousness.

The crystal pillars were destroyed, smoke and dust were everywhere obscuring her view. After few minute the dust started to disappear, now she could clearly see the creature crying ... And what was unexpected was a pony whom she did not think would appear below, the image of a pink alicorn whom imprisoning her in this dark cave reappeared in her mind. However, she didn't feel angry at all, even though she knew she should, but she just didn't feel anything as if all her feelings had disappeared. She felt her heart was very cold.

Because it is your responsibility to protect the balance between life and death so you cannot have any emotions because they will affect your perception and judgment. She knelt down and sobbed like a filly, making all residents of Ponyville astonished to see the sun goddess, the ruler of power, completely collapsed in front of them.
Main Five, Shining Armor, Princess Celestia sobbed in despair as she remembered how they had pushed their friend, a loyal student, LSBFF into despair. And now, they understood the feeling of despair Twilight had experienced when they left her, ignored her, and betrayed her. But, even if they were desperate now, suffering screamed her name and begged her to come back, everything was too late now. Just like what Twilight had said, they all had the opportunity to choose to trust her, to stay and comfort her... instead they chose to abandon her, turning away from her, betraying her beliefs, And their wrong choice made her lose her feeling and become an empty shell. And now she was leaving them forever, and there was nothing they could do to bring her back.
At Everfree Forest.
Twilight is standing in front of the door of an ancient pyramid-like monument with strange ancient words engraved on the door. She stepped closer to read the words carved on the door.
“Hmmm... I have never seen this kind of writing before. There are no books about it. Although Celestia had told me about some ancient relics that existed hundreds of years ago, though I never heard her talk about the ancient ruins in the Everfree forest.” Twilight said, reading the writing on the door.
“I don’t think this belongs to your world, master” Death said
“What do you mean? Do you mean it came from another world? Do you know what it is and where it came from?” Twilight asked.
"Yes! My master. But I don’t know what it is or where it came from. Because there are many parallel worlds in this universe, I’ve never visited them all, my lord.” Death replied.
“But ... I can feel a stream of power coming from these, it seems these words are a seal, maybe the owner of this ancient monument doesn’t want to give it up. Anyone who enters this place got trapped." Death added.
“So there’s no way to open it?” Twilight asked.
“Master, if it was normal, then only the owner of the seal could open it, but, you’re the Lord Of Death so for seals like this you could easily open them. All you needed to do was transfer your power into the seal which was too weak for you so it could not withstand your power and would be destroyed.” Death explained.
Twilight followed the instructions of Death. She closed her eyes and concentrated her power, her horn lit up with dark gray magic, she opened her eyes, her eyes turned to icy blue again, she shot her magic at the door. Until the door glowed red before the words on the door disappeared and the seal was destroyed, opening the door of the monument.
Twilight drew back her magic, her eyes returning to the cold gray, In front of her now was a dark passage leading to the inside of the monument. After a while staring at it, she walked into the aisle, the darkness in the tunnel covering her. After she stepped deep inside, the door of the monument slowly closed behind her. But she paid no heed to it and continued walking. She decided to stay inside this monument and never return to Equestria again. Now that she has no more regrets, she has given up everything including her home, all her friends, her family and her mentor, who she used to be very respectful, admired, loyal, trusting and considered her second mother, and now, She is Lord Of Death, the guardian of the balance between life and death.
Twilight went deeper and deeper into the building, everything here was dark. She didn't know how far she had gone nor where in the relic she was, since there were no points of orientation. Not even the light of the exit could reach her now.
“This place is weird, I don't know how long I've been inside, but there's nothing here, it's just a long dark hallway,” Twilight thought. “How long is this corridor? It feels like it will never end! I wonder where this will lead me?”
“I guess this might be a so-called space bridge, Master,” said Death.
“A space bridge? What is that?” Twilight asked.
“In the parallel worlds I've been to, I’ve come across ancient ruins with great mysteries inside them, like tombs of kings, ancient treasures, or simply a small space created by some creature…” Death paused for a second.
“All of these ruins, or to be exact: relics, were built by a rough and very old being, but inside them are completely separate dimensions of space, with no connection to space or time outside, created by magical entities. This means that no matter how fast time flies outside a relic, the dimension of the interior remains unchanged. Time is meaningless inside the monuments, the sun and the moon do not exist in them. The sky, the scenery, everything inside relics are created by their owner. They're like a pre-programmed machine, without any natural element that can change or even affect them.”
Death hesitated, thinking about how to put the next part of his explanation into words. Finally, he began speaking again:
“This separation of dimensions is the reason for the creation of something called the Dark Void, a place that exists between dimensions, without anything existing in it, including time, space, life, death, rebirth and destruction. In the Dark Void, there is only eternal darkness and emptiness. So in order to move from a relic to its belonging reality, the creator of that relic must build a passage connecting reality and the dimension inside the relic, called a space bridge. That's like building a bridge to go across a river. If anyone falls off the bridge and lands in the river, he will sink under the surface and drown. And if you leave a space bridge, you get lost in the Dark Void, forever unable to escape. Not only that, the soul and body of those lost in the Dark Void will be swallowed up by the darkness inside it, that soul will completely disappear from the universe, forever unable to reincarnate,” Death explained.
Twilight replied after a bit of thinking: “So, do space bridges between parallel worlds exist too?”
“Of course, master. But space bridges between parallel worlds are a little bit more complicated, the relic spaces are just disconnected or shielded from their realities, creating a bridge to an entire new reality requires much more power, power only the masters of the crystals of balance and other gods have. That’s because the barriers to other worlds are stronger, and every space bridge has to go through the gateway of space to be stable, however sometimes creatures tear down the walls between parallel worlds, opening time cracks and stepping into other dimensions. After listening to Death's explanation, Twilight went silent. She was thinking about Death’s words. When she had met death, so much changed. Her view of life, of friends. She couldn’t even have dreamed about knowing about the things she knew now: The existence of other parallel worlds in the universe, creatures called humans inhabiting those worlds, or the gods that protect the balance of the universe.
If a pony had told her that there were more powerful beings than Celestia, she would probably have laughed. But knew she could take on Celestia, Luna, Discord and Nightmare Moon combined, although she hadn’t even reached her full potential.
While she was deep in her thoughts, she reached the end of the space bridge. Twilight looked up, in front of her was a beautiful view, a sky that shone with sparkling stars and silver moonlight, a wide meadow and a gentle breeze making the grass sway. In the middle of the meadow was a calm lake, its surface so plain it had no ripples, reflecting the landscape and the night sky.
Twilight was surprised, even though she didn’t have emotions anymore, this peaceful place somehow made her feel safe. She forgot about the many things whirling around in her head, and calmed down.
“I don't know who created this place, but it certainly does look comfy…”
Suddenly Twilight realized how tired she was, she hadn’t slept since the incidents at the wedding, and these had happened who knows how long ago.
“Maybe I'll take a nap before I start training with my new power.” Twilight walked to the lake and lay down beside it. Her eyes gradually closed, and she finally fell into a deep sleep.
At Ponyville
The Main Five, Spike, Princess Celestia, Cadance and Shining Armor were in the Golden Oak Library, Twilight’s former place of residence. They were trying to find information about where Twilight might have gone, but while tireless searching for hours, the hope slowly left them.
Rainbow Dash was the first to shout in frustration: “Agh! We searched for hours without finding any clue about where Twilight has gone! This is taking forever, and I feel like it isn’t going to help anyways.”
“I searched in her closet, but she didn’t take any clothes with her, and normally she would have packed at least three times the necessary supplies.” Rarity said. Her eyes were still bloodshot from crying all day long.
Applejack picked up that thought: “This is not like her at all. She always leaves a piece of paper whenever she goes out.”
“Maybe she doesn't want us to find her, I mean maybe, after all we have done to her, it's obvious that she doesn't want to be friends or even see us, and the way she was at the wedding, that was so scary...” Fluttershy lost her words after remembering what had happened and how cold Twilight seemed to be. She sobbed, then began crying again. Her eyes were also bloodshot, just like Rarity’s. She could not escape the guilt of being responsible for Twilight’s current state. Just because of her, Twilight suffered under a curse that made her heart go blank.
Pinkie Pie approached Fluttershy and took her in her hooves. For Pinky, joy and laughter was a luxury she didn’t want to, just couldn’t afford. All emotions she wanted and that remained in her heart now were pure sadness, guilt and despair, emotions she had never felt so clearly.
Applejack just stood there, still had no way of accepting the bitter truth, that they had lost their friend, the pony who brought them all together, just because of her mistake.
Celestia stood alone in a corner, silently speaking to herself, full of regret: “Oh Twilight, how can I fix this mistake of mine? I thought that if you were controlled by Dark Magic, just like my sister, I’d still have a chance to make everything right again. But now, my mistake not only pushed you into the claws of darkness, it also made you suffer this cruel curse, Twilight, how could I have let this happen to you? I am such a fool! I am the one who should be cursed! I am not worthy of being a princess of Equestria!”
Princess Celestia continued cursing herself for pushing her faithful student into the darkness. Two rows of tears lingered on her cheeks, her mane and tail drooped, and beneath her feet was a small puddle of water, formed from her tears.
“AGH! You are so stupid Shining! How dare you let this happen to Twily! You are the captain of the royal guard! You promised her to always be there for her, no matter the cost. She trusted you! How could you betray her beliefs like that!? You don’t deserve to be a guard and certainly not to be an older brother! The only thing you deserve is Tartarus! Forever!”
Shining Armor was angry, not with his wife, but with himself. Losing his sister, and then his Cadance, was too much for him, and with no one to blame except himself, the emotions took control of his body. He collapsed on the floor and sobbed. He began to hate himself for what he had put his sister to go through. He was supposed to protect her, not endanger her!
Cadence walked up to him and wrapped a hoof around his shoulder, hoping to comfort him. But it was a futile effort, because she herself could not contain her tears. She could only stand there and cry with him, because she knew no matter how much she would use her love spells, she could never heal Twilight anymore. Because after all, no love or emotion was enough to fill an endless void.
In the end, they all of them thought the same thing: The Element Of Magic had disappeared, a younger sister, a friend, a student had been cursed by darkness and left them forever, and it was all their fault.
Applejack was the first one to regain her posture: “Princess Celestia, please allow me to say this.”
Celestia perked up. “What's wrong, Applejack?”
“Well, princess... I've decided…” Applejack’s voice was shaky, since she wasn’t sure about how to continue. She decided to make the upcoming revelation as short and painless as possible.
“I want to give up my Element of Harmony!” she blurted out.
All ponies in the room widened their eyes in surprise at Applejack's words. “Are-are you joking, AJ?” Rainbow Dash stammered.
“How could I be joking, in a situation like this?” Applejacks voice deepened. “No, Rainbow, it is true. I don't want to be the carrier of the Element Of Honesty anymore, and neither do I deserve it.” Applejack had spoken in a firm voice, leaving no doubts about how serious she was.
“B-b-but why!? The Elements are the only thing that unites us all, the only thing that connects us with Twilight! They are our only chance to find and fix her, why would you give up on yours?” Rainbow Dash’s expression changed from surprised to angry. “If you abandon it, if we abandon them, then we will also abandon Twilight!” By the time she had spoken these words, Rainbow flew in front of Applejack with an angry look on her face.
“Rainbow is right, Applejack. I know you are all heartbroken, just like me. But now, only the Elements of Harmony can help us heal Twilight. They are our only hope to find her, and without them, we might never be able to free her of the curse. So we can't just give up on that hope, do you understand, Applejack?“ Princess Celestial spoke the last two sentences with a new found energy, to motivate herself and the others to not give up that easily.
“I certainly understand that, princess. But I have to say, we all know that the Elements of Harmony can't help us fix everything. And this time they can't help us fix Twilight either, because the other Elements won't work without the Element of Magic.”
“And even if they do work… I don't think they can help us cure Twilight. Because after what we know, the Elements of Harmony can only drive out the darkness born of negative emotions in a creature’s heart... But what about Twilight? If what Princess Cadence has told us is true, Twilight's heart will have gained nothing but emptiness, and certainly no negative emotions. And if it doesn't contain any negative emotions to purify, we might turn Twilight into stone, just like Discord. And is that so much better than how she currently is? If she doesn’t hurt anyone, I don’t think so,” Applejack sadly explained.
Applejack didn't really want to believe this either, but she had learned that even if the truth can bring a lot of pain, one has to accept it. Because every lie, no matter how beautiful, promising or comforting, will always be an illusionary mist and will only make you more lost.

“But... But...” Rainbow faltered. Deep in her heart she knew that Applejack was correct. But she could not accept that all hope of saving Twilight was disappearing, there had to be something! Some new way of using the Elements, or maybe some spell.
Applejack raised her voice: “Princesses, friends... Just like the Element of Magic is the center of the connection between the other elements, Twilight is the pony that unites us all, she's the reason we became the owners of the Elements... And now, this bond has been broken by us, the bearers themselves, causing Twilight to lose her own heart! Is there any reason to continue bearing the Elements?” Applejack looked at the ponies in the room, seeing nothing but sadness and tears in their faces.
Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, no, they all frowned at Applejack's question. They all realized that because of Twilight, they became the bearers of the Elements of Harmony. And now, when Twilight had disappeared, the Element Of Magic had withered, there was not a single reason to continue to be the heroes of Equestria. How could they protect Equestria, if they could not even protect their best friend?
Finally, after a moment of silence, Rainbow Dash walked towards Princess Celestia and raised her head, with a determined expression on her face: “AJ is right! Twilight is our best friend, the pony that connects us all. If she gives up on being the owner of her Element, so will I. Because if we don’t do this together, we might as well not do this at all. If I have to choose between being a hero of Equestria and my friends, there’s only one correct answer, my friends!”
“I will also abandon the Element Of Generosity. Even if it is a shame to give up such beautiful accessoires, they aren’t as unique as my friends.” Rarity stepped up to stand with Rainbow Dash.
“Me too!” Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie spoke in unison, while walking towards Rainbow Dash and Rarity.
Applejack looked towards her friends and smiled, then she completed the line between Rainbow and Rarity.
“Princess, we will give up the Elements of Harmony. However, we are never going to give up on Twilight, even without the Elements of Harmony helping, we won’t let her down. We promise, we will definitely find Twilight, ” they said.
Princess Celestia, Shining Armor and Princess Cadence were surprised by the drastic change of behavior of the Main Five. 5 minutes ago they had been weeping, now their voices were full of determination and strength.
“I understand and respect your decision, and I myself will not give up, I will not rest until I find my faithful student!”
Inside the ancient ruins
Twilight was sleeping on the grass beside the lake in nearly complete silence. There was no noise except the wind. This was her first peaceful sleep, because now that her emotions had disappeared and her heart became empty, her dreams vanished with them.

Twilight looked at the gray flames floating in front of her: “Is that you, Death?”
“Yes and no. This is my soul form. Since you and I have become one, you can see my soul as well as I can appear inside your heart. ”
“Hum... So this is my heart after I became the Lord Of Death? A void, filled with endless darkness?” Twilight asked, with an expression of curiosity on her face.
“Yes, my master. The heart of every creature in the universe is its own space and all their personalities, dreams and emotions are expressed within it, so you could say this is a reflection of your soul. However, now that you are Lord Of Death, all your emotions have disappeared, so now your heart has nothing in it and became empty”
“Um... I get it. But won’t Princess Luna find me? She has the ability to go into everypony's dreams and locate them. ” Twilight asked.
“I understand your concerns, my lord. But I can assure you that this is not going to happen. Things like dreams or ambitions come from the heart, so the so-called dream space is actually the space of the heart, and every heart space has a door to it. Twilight eyes slowly opened, glowing icy blue. Twilight stood up, the power of Death radiating from her body. A dark gray flame enveloped her, and when the flame disappeared, her body was covered with a black armor, and her mane and tail sparkled like a galaxy.
She wore a gray helmet with black paddings, covering the space from the top of her head to her neck, a black chestplate encased her chest and abdomen, three sharp black spines growing in the middle of it, with two longer and pointed spines curving backwards. Small spikes sprouted behind her heels and at her front legs’ joints were two long, slightly pointed back spines. Her curved and black horn didn’t change, but now she was enveloped in her dark gray magic aura. She grinned. “Let’s get the show on the road.”
Twilight sparkle stands in front of the skeleton shaped by various creatures, some of which she knows and others that she has never seen or read in any of the books she has written so far.
“Well, I’ve managed to control death’s power for the first time, but I guess I still need more field training, and I feel a bit tougher in some of my movements” Twilight said.
”Actually, I find that you did a great job, you managed to control a lot of your strength in just a few short hours, all my temporary owners who were never able to learn about my strength as quickly as you did, my master” said death.
“Hm... But I still have a feeling unfamiliar with the movement and the way skills work. I guess it is because myself have never been through such close-quarters combat training before...” Twilight says “Most of the time I have fought with the enemies of the Esquestria so far I have fought with my friends and used elements of harmony to defeat them; this was my first time in solitary combat.”
”I can understand that, but you should rest a little, you have been training with skeletons that have been summoned from that death for a few hours, and though your body is so heavily modified by the power of death, I’m not encouraging you to train too much, because your body is still adapting and perfecting with your new strength, so it’s going to be too much work with your body to endure that heavy practice, my master.” Death recommends Twilight to rest.
Twilight breathes before using the magic of death and deploying the skeleton she has summoned from the dead to train back to their destination: “I guess you’re right, I might share out and go for a walk in the Everfree forest, I’ve always wanted to explore this place but couldn’t come in because I was so weak, and because Princess Celestia and my friends won’t let me come in.”
”To go for a walk is good, master. It’s been a long time since I sealed myself under the cave.” Death reunites with Twilight.
After agreeing to a pause in exercise and going for a walk in the Everfree Twilight forest at the relic’s exit, she crossed the space bridge and departed the relic and began to go into the Everfree Forest.
Back to the Canterlot Castle
After the Main Five, Princess Celestia, Princess Cadence, Spike, and Shining Armor returned to Canterlot in a faint face because they could not find any information about where Twilight had left after leaving Ponyville, the royal guards were amazed to see a severe princess like Celestia showing a sense of desperation and helpiess, without ever seeing their princess succumb to light light weary before.

However, that alone wasn't enough to take down a Hydra, Manticore after knocking down the Hydra, it quickly turned around, charging towards Hydra with its venomous tail brought out about to be stabbed into Hydra's neck, but Hydra used its tail and whipped Manticore's side, sending Manticore flying in opposite direction, Manticore's body crashing into large trees and breaking them, eventually crashing Manticore into a cliff.
Hydra stood up and walked towards its prey, when it saw that prey had collapsed, Hydra opened its mouth to reveal sharp teeth, it rushed to eat its prey. However, at that moment Manticore immediately jumped up, causing Hydra's head to hit ground, then Manticore saw its opportunity, it used its venomous tail to stab Hydra's neck and infuse his venom into it. Hydra hissed in pain as it was suddenly attacked. Manticore's poison quickly penetrated Hydra's body, causing it to slightly lose its balance and fall backwards.

At Canterlot Hospital
All the nurses and doctors in the hospital run around looking for a way to wake up love princess. Twilight looked at Cadence for a moment before starting to close her eyes, she focused her magic on her horn and created a black magic rope that linked to Cadence's horn, when the magic rope touched Cadence's horn, the Dark aura appeared from Cadence's horn and covered the magic rope, but Twilight's magic rope broke the dark aura, and linked with Cadence's horn, Twilight began to enter Cadence's heart.
Inside Cadence's Heart
A gray flame flared in Cadence's heart, and as the flame disappeared to reveal Twilight, Twilight looked around in search of Cadence. 'This is...?'
'Dark Void has invaded her heart, master' said Death
'I have to find her quickly and stop this.' Twilight uses magic to find traces of Cadence's magic.

Twilight concentrates magic on her horn and creates a gray flame, the flame covers her horn and begins to create a vortex of fire, the gray fire vortex rapidly grows larger and spreads everywhere in the space of Cadence's heart, it began to burn more fiercely and consume the darkness of Dark Void. But that wasn't enough to remove all of Dark Void's darkness, Twilight poured more power into her horn, her body levitating into the air, her eyes wide, gray flames oozing out of the corners of her eyes. Her gray magic blazed more intensely, unleashing a terrifying wave of fire across the entire space of Cadence's heart and causing all of Dark Void's darkness to be completely consumed.
After the darkness of Dark Void completely disappeared from Cadence's heart space, Twilight slowly descended to the ground, Cadence's heart space is now no longer covered by the endless darkness of Dark Void, instead there was a green grass field with clear blue sky and warm sunlight shining everywhere in the space of Cadence's heart, Princess Cadence lying unconscious on the grass, veins of darkness along with the puddle of darkness at her feet had completely disappeared and left no trace, as if they had never existed.
Twilight once again used her detection magic and scanned around Cadence's heart space to make sure she hadn't missed any traces of Dark Void inside Cadence's heart. "it looks like all the darkness of Dark Void has completely disappeared... But I still need to get rid of source of the problem, or else Dark Void will once again try to devour her soul"
'What are you going to do, my lord? The only way to stop Dark Void from invading love princess's heart is to cut the link between her soul and yours, but that's not easy, soul bonds are very strong, creating them is already a very difficult thing, and cutting them off is even ten times harder' Death explained.

Twilight's face darkened, she gently pushed Cadence away, Cadence looked at her with teary eyes, she was afraid that Twilight would leave again, Twilight looked at her with icy eyes and said "anyway, ... We should get out of here, the others are worried about you."
Cadence was confused by Twilight's words, she asked "what do you mean?"
"This is not real, Cadence... We are in the space of your heart, aka your dream." Twilight explained.
At this point Cadence looked around confused, she realized this was not Canterlot "D... Dream? Am I dreaming?"
"Yes, and it's time to turn back." After finishing her sentence, Twilight didn't let Cadence say anything more, she used her magic to pull Cadence out of her sleep and out of Cadence's dreams.
Chapter 21: the end of friendship and the beginning of solitude
Main Five, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Spike, and Shining Armor stood nervously looking at Twilight and Cadence. A few minutes ago they sensed a magical, dark, cold and powerful aura emanating from Twilight, it was even stronger than when she fought with queen Chrysalis. They didn't know what was going on in Cadence's dreams, they just knew that whatever was trying to swallow Princess Cadence's soul was something very scary and powerful. Confronting it was completely beyond their power, so all they could do was hope that Twilight could successfully save Cadence and hope they would both be safe.
Magic from Twilight's horn slowly fades, the thread connecting Twilight's horns and Cadence's disappears, Twilight slowly opens her eyes, revealing icy blue pupils, when all ponies in the room are about to run came back and asked situation, a rustling sound was heard, princess Cadence slowly opened her eyes and sat up from the operating table, she was still feeling a little tired, but aches were gone, wounds were Her body also disappeared. Shining Armor rushed over to help her sit up "easy now, Cady! Let me help you". All ponies in the room except Twilight ran over and inquired about her.
"Are you all right, princess?" Rarity asked worriedly.

"Twilight-" before Cadence could say more Shining Armor stepped forward and hugged Twilight, he said "thank you for saving Cadence, sister! I'm really sorry for everything I said at the wedding rehearsal! I should have known you cared about Cadence as much as I care about her, I should never have doubted you I don't expect you to forgive me, but please don't leave us!" Shining Armor wept, begging his sister to stay.
"Oh,... shiney... Wait, did you just say she saved me? Did something happen to me?" Cadence asked confused.
All the Pony in the room apart from Twilight looked at her confused, Princess Luna walked up to her and asked "you don't remember what happened?"
She shook her head and replied "I just remember that I was in the throne room, and was thinking how to free Twilight from that curse,... Then... Suddenly I felt very tired, my vision started to blur,... Then I don't know what else..."
Princess Luna and Princess Celestia looked at each other for a moment before Princess Celestia turned to tell her everything that happened to Cadence "you passed out, Cadence. We took you to the hospital, doctors said that you just exhausted with a few minor skin injuries, and just to be sure we kept you in the hospital overnight for observation... Everything was fine until you started having nightmares, doctors couldn't do anything to comfort you, so Luna stepped into your dreams to help you out of your nightmare..."

"Then Princess Luna told us about what was going on in your dream, we were terrified when we heard Princess Luna say that darkness is trying to swallow your soul, We thought you were suffering from the same curse as Twilight, so we tried to wake you up,Princess Celestia used magic and tried to wake you from your sleep, but she was defeated by the aura of darkness emanating from your horns." Shining Armor let go of Twilight and recounted in a trembling voice.
Rainbow Dash continued "Then Princess Celestia and Princess Luna together with Shining Armor used magic to pull you out of your sleep, while we kept calling you, but all were blown away by the darkness was trying to swallow you up, and then your body started to get cold, your heartbeat got weaker, doctors took you to the emergency room to try and save you."

Cadence was horrified to hear Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Main Five, Spike and Shining Armor recount what had happened to her while she was unconscious, she shivered at the thought that her soul had been nearly swallowed by the curse, that swallowed all of Twilight's emotions if Twilight hadn't arrived in time to save her.
"Thank you so much Twilight, you saved me twice,... And yet... there's nothing I can do to help you..." Princess Cadence said with regret.
"It's nothing, and... I don't need you or anyone else's help, so don't feel sorry for me..." Twilight said coldly, she knew saying that would hurt them, but she didn't want any of them to be in danger, even though they had hurt her a lot, she also didn't want any of them to be in danger because of her.

All the ponys in the room including Princess Cadence stared at the magic rope in amazement... Princess Celestia was the first to speak, "is this... A soul link?"
Shining Armor confused turned to Princess Celestia and asked "soul link?"

Cadence thought for a moment in silence and said "wait,... Auntie, you said a soul link between two ponies can share their feelings, right?... If so, can I also share my feelings with Twilight?"
Princess Luna and Princess Celestia widened their eyes in surprise when they realized the meaning of Cadence's question "are you going to use soul links to repair Twilight's heart?" Luna asked.
"Yes, if I can fill the void in Twilight's heart then the curse will be broken!" Cadence turned to Twilight and approached her with hopeful eyes "Twilight if so I can save you!"

Twilight backed away from Cadence, her magic lit up, a swirl of gray fire appeared on the floor, a scythe emerged from the whirlpool of fire and hovered in front of Twilight.
All the ponies in the room stared at the scythe in front of Twilight, Princess Cadence stepped back slightly, Twilight grabbed the scythe with magic and raised it in the air, Princess Cadence trembled as she asked "T... Twilight... W... What are you doing?" Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, Shining Armor, Main Five ran in front of Cadence "Twilight what are you doing?" Princess Celestia gazed into Twilight's eyes for the first time, she discovered that deep in those eyes there was no light, only an endless cold, it made her feel hopeless look into those eyes.
"...End it all" with that reply a gray flame flared up and covered blade of the scythe, before any of ponies could react, Twilight slashed the scythe and severed the magical bond between her and Cadence.
The magical bond between Cadence and Twilight gradually disappeared, Cadence cried out in pain and collapsed, she felt as if her heart was being torn into a hundred pieces and burned in the flames of hell. All ponies in the room other than Twilight ran towards Cadence in panic, Shining Armor worriedly asked "Cady! Are you okay!" Princess Luna turned to look at Twilight with anger, she asked "Twilight Sparkle! what did you do with her!?"
After severing the link between her and Cadence, Twilight removed the scythe, she coldly replied "don't worry, she's fine... I just cut off the soul link with her, this pain is a side effect of severing a soul link, but she'll be back to normal soon"
Cadence weakly looked up at Twilight with tears in her eyes, she asked "w... Why could you do that?... If there's no soul link how can I save you?... W... Why won't you let us help you?" Shining Armor painfully looked at Cadence.

All the ponies in the room cried when they heard all horrible words from Twilight, Twilight bowed to them all "so... Goodbye, saviors of Equestria, Princess Luna, Princess Celestia, Captain Shining Armor, and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, hope we never meet again." with a final greeting, Twilight lit her magic, a gray flame enveloped her body, and then she was gone...
Twilight Sparkle savior of Equestria, master of elemental magic, faithful student of princess Celestia, captain of royal guard's sister, sister and pony who hatched a dragon egg cut ties with all of them and Equestria. Princess Cadence cried in pain, she love Twilight like a little sister, but now that little sister only sees her as a strange pony princess...
After today, Twilight and they walk on two different paths. On one side is a road full of light, joy with hope and happiness waiting for them at the end of the road, on the other side is a road full of blood and death, what awaits at the end of the road is only despair and lonely.
