Chapter 1

The Moon’s Special Star

It was the second day after the defeat of Tirek and Twilight Sparkle was on the train, heading to Canterlot at the request of Princess Celestia. She was a bit anxious about this meeting to come. She wasn’t sure why Princess Celestia would want to see her? Maybe it was to congratulate her on her victory? No, she had already done that right after her new castle had appeared. What was even more suspicious is that Princess Celestia asked her to come to Canterlot alone. She didn’t defeat Tirek by herself, she had her friends to help her. So, why weren’t they coming to Canterlot with her?

Spike and her friends tried to come with her, but Twilight insisted for them to stay behind. It was the princess’s orders after all, but she had wished her friends were here. She could have used their support and wished they were there to comfort her about this meeting. This meeting was so sudden and out of the blue after all.

Why does the Princess want to see me alone? Did I do something wrong when I was raising the sun and moon? Is the Princess mad at me for taking so long?! Maybe the Princess is mad at me for destroying a large part of land?! Twilight gulp as he minds started to fear the worst.

"Dear Celestia…," Twilight whispered to herself and lowered her hoof

Luna sighed softly as she sat in her bedroom with the many friendship letters scattered around the table and floor. The young lunar princess had formed a massive crush on the lavender alicorn. The two had spent a lot of time exchanging letters, visiting each other and just overjoyed to see each other. This amazing pony didn’t see her as Nightmare Moon or as a monster. Twilight Sparkle saw her as who she was, a lonely princess who simply wanted a friend.

Luna smiled fondly as she remembered how she first fell in love with the newest princess. Her sister decided to give Luna some friendship letters. When the younger alicorn asked why; the elder one didn’t answer and walked away. Luna at first was hesitant to read such personal letters, but that quickly changed when she saw the report about herself when she visited Ponyville on Nightmare Night. That was the first moment the lunar princess felt something for the then unicorn. She soon found herself rereading every single friendship letter, she could get her hooves on and spent many nights reading.

"Are you nervous?" The young alicorn jumps slightly at the sound of Celestia’s voice. She hadn’t expected her sister to be standing beside her.

"Why are you in my room, Tia?" Luna asked and turned away from her sister. She telekinesis the letters around her and stack them in a neat pile and sent them aside.

"I’m just curious if you're nervous about Twilight’s arrival?" The solar princess said with a smirk on her face. Celestia knew about her sister’s massive crush on her faithful student. She would often pass by her sister’s room and could hear her squealing like a school filly, whenever she received a letter from Twilight. She even found a letter with a lipstick stain on it.

Dear sister, I really hope you take this opportunity to admit your feelings. You were quite worried about Twilight during Tirek attack. Celestia thought and wrap her large wing around the smaller alicorn.

Luna blushes slightly and looked away from her elder sister. She was afraid of admitting her feelings for the newest princess. She felt ridiculous! She was the princess of the night, she had faced many threats throughout her life. Discord, KingSombra, and many other ancient villains. And yet she couldn’t admit she had romantic feelings for Twilight Sparkle?

No, she knew why she was hesitant. She was afraid of Twilight rejecting her; ending their friendship in a single swoop. That was something Luna didn’t want to risk. She rather keeps her feelings to herself than lose Twilight as a friend.

"Sister, will you admit your feelings towards Twilight once she arrives?" Celestia asked and gave her sister a grin. Celestia had told her sister many times, that Twilight wouldn’t reject her and throw her out like some trash. She would be understanding; confused and shock at first but understanding in the end. And Twilight wasn’t the type of pony to end friendships over something like this.

"Uh… No, sister," Luna replied and moved the tip of her hoof in small circles against the marble floor, " It's not urgent… it can wait".

"Luna, I purposely set up this meeting for you," Celestia continued and nudge her. She chuckles softly and saw her sister gasp in shock. "Surprise sister!" Celestia cheered.

"Tia! Why did you do such a thing!” Luna said and started to panic. She wasn’t ready to admit her feelings to Twilight. She needed more time to prepare, freak out and then prepare some more.

"Sister, are you really going to spend eternity keeping your feelings a secret? Once Twilight arrives at Canterlot, you should take her aside and tell her how you feel" Celestia explained and nuzzles her sister’s cheek.

"But.... what if... Twilight rejects me and refuses to be my friend?" Luna asked as she nervously moved her front hooves together.

"Lulu, you have to trust me, alright? I’ve known Twilight for most of her life. I already know that my faithful student is having a panic attack on the train. Once she arrives, she’ll assume I’m angry at her and start panicking even more. When I say, she won’t reject you then she won’t. She won't end your friendship just because you admitted your true feelings." Assured The elder sister bringing her sister into an embrace.

Twilight followed a royal guard as he escorted her to the throne room. She already knew where the throne room was and told the guard about it, but he was quite Insistent of escorting her.

"The princesses will be here shortly, your highness," the solar guard said with a quick salute before leaving.

Okay, Twilight! Just calm down.... maybe the princesses wanted to compliment you on how you raised the sun.... right? Twilight anxiously look around and started to hyperventilate. She would have passed out if it weren’t for the arrival of Princess Celestia and Luna. The two stood in front of Twilight as she smiled at them.

"Twilight Sparkle, you must be wondering why we called you here?" Celestia asked as she gave her former student a quick nuzzle.

"A little...." Twilight said and gulp some more, "Are you annoyed on how I raised the sun when I had your magic? Or are you mad I destroyed HALF of Equestria during my fight with Tirek?! I can fix that!"

"Twilight, Twilight, please calm down. I’m not mad at you," reassured the elder princess, "Luna, here, wanted to show you something"

"Show me something?" Twilight questioned and look at the younger sister. Did they call me all the way here just to show me something? It must be something important then, Twilight thought to herself and turned her attention to Luna.

"Uh.... yes... show you something...." Luna simply replied and had no choice but to play along with her sister reuse. AHHH! WHAT ARE YOU DOING TIA Luna cried out but managed to keep a fake smile on her face.

"Will you be joining us, Princess Celestia?" Twilight asked and look at her former teacher.

"Twilight, please just call me Celestia. You are a royal princess after all." Celestia said seeing Twilight blush slightly with a small grin on her muzzle. Same old Twilight, Celestia smiled and walked passed her.

"Sorry…. will you be joining us then?" Twilight asked once more.

"I would love to but unfortunately I have an event to attend. It seems it’s just going to be you and my sister" Celestia said with a golden aura opening the door, "Have fun you two". Celestia smirk as she left the throne room. She already knew she was going to get an earful from her sister later, but it was for her own good.

"Uh.... please follow me.... and…. Uh…. call me Luna, alright?" Luna replied and smiled slightly. Twilight nodded in response and followed the lunar princess to a hidden wing of the castle.

“I’m not going to miss this” Cadence whispered. The pink princess was visiting Canterlot to ensure everything was alright with her aunts. Giving up all their magic to Twilight then bring trap in Tartarus for a few hours was a serious issue. It was a stressful moment for all three of them, and she was worried it caused some health problems. But she was quite surprised to see her sister in law. She secretly followed Twilight and saw the conversation between the three princesses. Cadence found herself grinning and the obvious signs of new love trying to bloom between Luna and Twilight. When she saw the two leave together, and alone. She couldn’t resist following them. She wasn’t going to miss the opportunity to help her aunt and sister in law.

Love is bloom, Cadence thought, recalling to the song her sister in law had sung during the wedding.

The two princesses entered the hidden wing. It was specially built for her with a lunar theme filling the hallways. The glass windows portraited her and Celestia as fillies, some of their battles, and her return after her banishment. Celestia wanted to ensure she felt welcome when her sister returned. The hallways were dark with the sunlight block, only allowing the moon’s light to pass through. This wing was, no, IS Luna.

"Wha... But... I’ve... UH?!" The lavender alicorn utter in complete confusion. She had spent years inside of the castle and explored every inch of it! How could she miss an entire WING?! She needed a quill and paper! She had to record this hidden secret! She quickly made a quill and paper appear and frantically took notes.

"It’s a hidden wing that my sister had built for me after my banishment" Luna explained and notice Twilight frantically writing something down on a scroll.

"This! Is! Amazing!" Twilight shouted as she continued to record, "the lunar theme wing! How the windows expose the moon and stars! Allowing it to light up the wing itself! Amazing! The reflect the amazing night sky! I’m so excited!"

Luna smiled with a small blush appearing on her cheeks. She was surprised Twilight had caught the effects of these special glass windows. It was still daylight and yet the wing was dark as the night sky. Luna had never heard a pony comment on her nights before and with such enthusiasm. Luna opened a door which led to a small dining room. This room was meant for royal events during the night court, but no pony bothered to show up.

You are truly amazing, my dear Twilight, Luna smile warmly as the two entered the dining room and headed towards the small table. A blue aura surrounded one of the chairs, and pulled away from the table, "Please take a seat, Twilight"

"Thank you, prin-Luna!" Twilight said catching herself once more before taking a seat. "So, Luna, was this what you wanted to show me? Or is there something else more urgent?"

Luna gulp before taking her own seat with her magic. She didn’t know how to start the subject, let alone how to phrase her confession of love. The last thing she wanted was to screw everything up and push Twilight away. The lunar princess stared at the dark blue table with her cutie mark at the centre. A servant entered the room and place down two cups of tea before departing.

"Prin-I mean Luna? Is everything alright?" Twilight asked with a concerned tone. She wanted Luna to trust her and feel comfortable talking to her. That what friends were for after all. She loves being friends with Luna, but she recently felt something strange inside of her. Something that was different from the rest of her friends. She quickly realized the feelings she felt weren’t meant for being just friends. Twilight thought about the co-ruler of Equestria more often. She often wondered what she was doing, wanting to see her again, and got nervous when a reply to her letter took a day too long. Was she falling in love with the lunar princess?!

I hope Luna is alright.... maybe I’m being too stiff? Or maybe I should change my approach? Should I even be calling her, Luna? Twilight gulp softly and started to panic once more; her brain started to race around and fear every possible situation that might have upset the princess.

Luna nervously moved her hoof against the marble floor. She couldn’t bring herself to look at Twilight and admit her feelings. She was too scared of being rejected, of Twilight hating her, and being left alone once more. A long silence filled the room as the two princesses stared at each other then quickly avoid each other gazes.

"If you want me to leave, Princess than I can," Twilight said glancing at the doors.

No! Don’t go! Luna shouted in her head and gave a quick glance to the door as well, come on Luna! Just say it already!

"I can't take this anymore!" Cadence whispered softly from her hiding spot. She frowns and released two small heart from her horn, and sent it flying towards the pair.

Twilight quickly concluded, she had upset the princess somehow and it was best for her to leave. "I’m sorry if I upset You, Princess Luna. I’ll leave you be," Twilight said and sat up from her chair. She started to make her way towards the door.

"What? No, of course not! It’s not that... I just have something to tell you" Luna said quickly setting up along with Twilight. She went after her and used her magic to hold Twilight back, hoping she wouldn’t leave before it was too late.

The two stared at each other and didn’t notice two little heart hitting them both in the chest. Twilight and Luna’s eyes widen before looking at each other. They felt all their fear slowly melt away, disappearing altogether. Luna took a deep breath with her heart beating out of her chest; it was now or never.

"Twilight Sparkle... I love you!" Luna blurted out but felt so reviled as the words left her mouth. The Lunar princess quickly turned red and look away from Twilight.

Now that’s more like it! Cadence smiled and was happy her little spell worked. She usually tried not too interfering with ponies’ love life, well the magic word here is tried. But sometimes certain ponies needed a little extra help.

"You do?" Twilight simply replied.

"Indeed. I’ve felt this way for a long time now. After my return, I felt so... alone.... that I didn’t belong in this new time. But after reading your friendship letters and being surprised on how you interacted with me. But when we started to exchange letters that’s when I felt something… I wasn’t too sure what it as until our first visits. When that happened…. I just knew it…. just felt so... I..... I just fell in love with you" Luna said and nervously waited for Twilight’s reply.

"I’ve felt the same way" Twilight replies to the shock of the lunar princess. "I’ve been thinking about you more and more... I thought it was normal since we are friends. But I realized it was something more... I wanted to be with you, I got nervous when your letters were just a day late, and I feel so happy whenever I’m around you that my heart beats faster."

Luna simply stared in shock as Twilight spoke. This entire time, she was so worried about being rejected, but Twilight felt the same way, and she was overjoyed. "Twilight...." Luna whispered. She approached Twilight and stared at her lips before gently kissing them. Twilight was a bit taken back at first but happily returned the kiss. Twilight parted from Luna and stared into her blue eyes with her face becoming extremely red. "Luna... I love you too" she replied.

“Am I going to fast for you?” Luna asked with a slightly nervous tone. Twilight shook her head ‘no’ before kissing the princess once more.

Cadence awe as she watches from afar. She always loved helping ponies find their special somepony, even if they needed the extra little help. "Now that’s more like it,” Cadence said to herself with a smile," I should probably leave these two alone.”

Cadence smiled with a quick glance at the couple as they kissed. She left the dining room and found her way out of the wing; leaving the two mares alone for the night.

Twilight sat on Luna’s bed and was amazed at how soft it was. She moved her hooves against and was enjoying herself, as she waited for Luna to return. She had gone to discuss something with her sister and asked Twilight to wait until her return. Twilight sighed and moved her back hooves when she felt a sharp pain. She winces in pain and looks at the burnt marks, she had received from Tirek during their battle. Before Tirek was defeated, he made sure to injure the princess of friendship. It wasn’t anything serious, but wounds didn’t heal overnight.

"I should use that healing spell…." Twilight whispered to herself and look over the burnt areas of her fur, "I didn’t think it would still hurt"

"Twilight," Luna entered the room and notice Twilight staring at her body before turning her head towards her. She raised a slight brow and walked towards the bed, "Are you alright? " she asked with a slightly worried tone of voice.

"I’m alright, Luna," replied Twilight, moving her wing down to hide her wounds from her new marefriend. Luna frown and surrounded Twilight’s wing in her magic. She gently moved the wing and saw the injuries on Twilight’s body.

"What are these?" Luna asked with her eyes narrowing as she examined the burnt marks, "Are these from Tirek?"

Twilight sighed softly and nodded her head in response. Luna released Twilight’s wing from her magic’s hold and lit her horn. She surrounded Twilight’s body and activated a healing spell. Twilight moan in pain as the spell first took effect, but the pain quickly disappeared and felt much better now.

"You should be careful, Twilight," Luna whispered as she gently placed her head against Twilight’s forehead. The lunar princess smiled tenderly and stared into Twilight’s purple eyes; she placed her hoof around her marefriend’s neck and pulled her into an embrace.

"You don’t have to worry about me, Luna," Twilight whispered in response with her eyes closing; enjoy the warmth of Luna’s body, the softness of her fur with her magic mane gently brushing against her. "I can handle my self," she said.

"I’ll keep you safe, my love," Luna whispered. Twilight shivered slightly and felt Luna’s hoof against her side. The wound had disappeared thanks to Luna’s magic, but it was still sensitive.

The Moon’s Special Star

When morning came, Twilight opened her eyes and yawned softly. She stretched out her hooves and wings when she felt something next to her. She looks over and saw Luna still asleep. She smiled and nuzzled against the dark alicorn, she felt so safe and relax being next to her. The warmth of her body, the softness of her fur and the sweet scent. She had never felt like this before and she loves it. She looks over at her new marefriend and gently got off from the bed before making her way towards the bathroom. Twilight stood in front of the mirror and stared at her reflection. She was surprised the healing spell worked so well; the burnt marks were gone, her fur had regrown, and the pain all but a distant memory.

"That was some spell…. I should ask Luna about it," Twilight whispered to herself and brushed her hoof against her side. "I should ask Luna to teach me its nothing compared to the one I have." She said. She brought over a brush with her magic and brushed her mane. She smiled before leaving the bathroom and shut the door behind her.

"Where are you going, love?" Twilight looked over and saw Luna awake. She got off the bed and walked towards the lavender alicorn, "Trying to sneak off?"

"Don’t be silly, Luna," Twilight said and look away from her, "Just went to freshen up."

Luna brought over her crown, necklace and slippers. She slid her necklace around her neck with her hooves lifting slightly as her slippers followed. She kissed Twilight on the cheek with her crown gently placing itself on her head.

I really hope Tirek’s magic didn’t cause any serious damaged. They were minor injuries but dark magic like Tirek’s isn’t a joke. It can become a poison on some occasions or other unknown symptoms. The lunar princess lifted Twilight’s wing with her magic. She lowered her head and examined her old wound, "Is there something wrong?" Twilight asked.

"Just wanted to check, love," Luna said releasing the wing from her magic," Tirek’s magic is very dangerous and shouldn’t be taken lightly."

"Love? That’s an interesting term," she said with a slight blush appearing on her cheeks. Twilight had never been in a relationship before. She was more focus on her studies and her lessons with Celestia. They were far more important than some stallion! Rarity had tried to set her up on a few dates, but those never went as far as one date. She felt a bit shy whenever Luna called her ‘love’, but she did enjoy it.

"Oh! Are you uncomfortable with it? I can stop…." Luna quickly said and felt embarrassed for placing Twilight in such an awkward situation. "Twilight, I know this is a new experience…. its new for both of us. And, I don’t want to rush you in anything or make you uncomfortable. Please let me know alright?"

"No, no, its quite alright, Luna," Twilight quickly reassured the navy-blue princess, "I’m just not used to being called such a nice thing. I really do like it…. I just feel shy about it, that’s all."

A small smile appeared on the princess’s face. She brought Twilight closer with her wing and hug her, "Let’s get some breakfast, love." Luna said with a quick nuzzle on Twilight’s cheek.

Celestia and Cadence sat at the table with their eyes fixed on the couple. They kept a straight face while casually enjoying their meal. Twilight nervously look at her former teacher and sister in law with her mind racing.

Oh dear! I’ve I don’t something wrong? Is Celestia mad at me? Why is she looking at me like this?! The only time she looks at a pony like this is when they’ve done something wrong! Twilight gave a nervous laugh and took her tea with her telekinesis; the cup shook like crazy with her tea falling to the table. By the time Twilight brought the cup to her lips, the cup was completely empty.

"What?" the purple princess questioned and look down at her empty cup. Luna glances over and tried to hold back a small laughter. She brought over the teapot and poured some more tea.

"Try not to spill it, love," Luna said. Twilight blushed and sunk lower in her chair and drank her tea. Luna looked over at her sister and niece with their stern glare still on their faces. "Sister! Why are thus staring at us like this!" Luna said and placed her hoof onto the table, "Are you upset with us? Do tell us what's wrong!"

"And Cadence…. why are you here? I mean! I’m so happy to see you, but your arrival is quite sudden. I just saw you a few days ago." Twilight said looking at her sister in law, "Is Shining aware you’re here?"

"Oh! Of course, he does. I came here because I was worried about Celestia and Luna after the whole Tirek incident." The pink princess explained with the slight wave of her hoof. "To be honest…. I thought you and Flash Sentry liked each other. Especially after you formed a small crush on his counterpart, and didn’t you start forming a little something with the Flash here?"

"Cadence!" Twilight yelled with her face turning red. She glances over at Luna, who glares at her niece with a death glare.

Flash what? Luna raised a brow slightly as she slowly sips her tea. She didn’t like the idea of this stallion being around HER Twilight. And she didn’t know Twilight had formed some sort of crush towards him.

"I even made this chart where I paired you and your friends with other ponies!" Cadence continued and continued to present Twilight the scroll, "I call it, The Shipping Chart!"

"Cadence, your shipping again? I told you to stop," Celestia said lowering her cup onto the table; ignoring the death glare on her sister’s face. Cadence clap her hooves together with a huge smile on her face.

"Here are some pairings I did for you, Twilight," Cadence said moved the scroll closer towards her. She placed her hoof on the small drawing of Twilight’s face and moved it along the many lines that were connected to other ponies. "This line is Flash Sentry, this one is Comet Tail from Ponyville, this is the Trixie line, and of course I had to add Starlight!"

Twilight simply sat there in silence and blink a few times. She had no idea her sister in law had such an odd habit; was this even normal for a pony to think this way? Pairing random ponies with random ponies?

"Uh…. Sister…. are you alright?" Celestia asked. Twilight and Cadence look over at the lunar princess and saw her with a large frown on her brow, her eyes wide open, and her mouth in the must unprincessy manner.

"Luna…. Are you alright?" Twilight asked and tap her shoulder. Luna’s eye twitches and felt something snap inside of her.

"WE SHALL NOT ALLOW THIS!" Luna shouted using the Royal Canterlot voice. Twilight and the others all quickly covered their ears with their pains flying back. "NO STALLION OR MARE SHALL BE WITH TWILIGHT SPARKLE! THIS CHART IS UNHOLY!" Luna yelled taking the chart with her magic and rip it to shreds.

"My ships…." Cadence whimpered with her eyes following the ripped pieces

"Luna, calm down," Twilight said and tug on the princess’s mane with her magic. Luna sighed and sat back down in her chair. She huffs with some smoke coming out of her nostrils. "This weird pairing list of Cadence isn’t a real thing. It's just some…. Well…. A hobby of hers. None of this will ever happen."

"Sister, I am overjoyed for both of you. I’ve waited for this to happen for many years now. You should know Twilight isn’t the type of pony to simply abandon you." Celestia said and placed a comforting wing around her sister.

"Its true, Luna," Twilight said and gave her a small nuzzle on the chest, "I won’t leave you over a chart or old crushes."

"I am sorry everypony…. I just overreacted." Luna said in a deep sigh.

Twilight walked inside of her castle and headed to her room before throwing herself onto the bed. She sighed deeply and never thought Luna had such a jealous side. Didn’t think Luna could be so scary, Twilight thought to herself.

"Oh! Twilight your back," Spike said and entered her room, "What did the princess want? Are you in trouble?"

"It’s a long story Spike," Twilight said and sat up on the side of her bed, "I’m really tired to explain"

"So, the princess isn’t mad at you? That’s a relief to hear," he said and walked over to her, "It's so weird that the princess only called you."

"I’ll explain everything later, Spike. I just want to rest for a while before I do." Twilight said when she noticed her number on assistant blech out a blue flame with a scroll rolling on the ground. Twilight lifted the scroll in her magic and saw the insignia on the wax seal.

"Is that a crescent moon? Oh! What do you think Princess Luna wants?" Spike asked. Twilight smiled at her number one assistant. The blue flame was a Luna’s message link to Spike. Celestia made sure to set up the link for her sister to the little dragon. She quickly got annoyed being the middle pony for her former student and her sister’s letter exchange, and they set a lot throughout the day. Spike was annoyed constantly sending and receiving letters, but Twilight made sure to make it up to him with a message and a few gems.

"I’m sure its nothing serious," Twilight said removing the wax seal and unrolling the scroll.

My precious Twilight,

I do apologise once more for my reaction at breakfast today. I’ve never imagined I would be the jealous pony, uh, well maybe I should have seen it coming.

Twilight oh and realized Luna was referencing to her transformation to Nightmare Moon.

I’m just afraid of losing you which would explain my attitude; I'll do my best to control my jealous side when I arrive in Ponyville in two days. I was hoping we could have a date? I do have something special planned for us, please let me know if you’re available that night. If you need me to move my schedule around, ill be happy to accommodate.

Twilight smiled as she reread the letter a few times before placing the letter down. She brought over her calendar with her magic and saw she was quite busy that day. "I can't just ask Luna to move her schedule…." Twilight mumble to herself, examine the day to see what she could move or cancel. I suppose I can cancel the pet play date…. Then I can move everything up and be able to attend my date! Twilight clapped her hooves together and placed her calendar down.

"So, what did the princess say?" Spike asked

"She’s arriving in Ponyville in two days! I was just moving things around, so I can be there when she arrives." Twilight explained and stood up from her bed. "Unfortunately, I have to cancel the pet play date but ill be able to move everything up." The lavender princess explained. Twilight looked over and saw Owlowiscious lower his wings with a sad woot leaving his beak.

"I’m sorry, Owlowiscious," Twilight said and nuzzled him, "I can ask Fluttershy to pick you up?"

Owlowiscious woot happily and flap his wings in excitement. Twilight giggle in response and went to her desk to answer Luna’s letter.

"How do you even know what he’s saying!" Spike shouted in annoyance. He never understood why Twilight could understand him, and not him!

"Spike stay here. I want you to send this letter to Luna once I’m finished writing it." Twilight said with her magic bringing over quill, ink, and paper. Spike simply groan in annoyance and sat down, "It's just one this time, Spike, don’t worry about it." Reassured the princess of friendship. She smiled and started to write the letter.

Dearest Luna,

Please don’t worry about what occurred this morning. I’m free for our date in two days! I’m so excited to see you and what you have planned. I can’t wait to see you!

Twilight look over at Spike, who had his nose inside of a comic book. She grabs one of her lipsticks and quickly applied some on her lips. She smiled and kissed the bottom of the letter, leaving a lipstick stain. Twilight giggle softly like a school pony and rolled the scroll up, she took out her wax and sealed it.

"To Princess Luna, please!" Twilight said and nudge Spike with the scroll. Spike groaned in annoyance as he took the scroll from her magic grip. He took a deep breath and fired a blue flame before it flew away in a wave of smoke.

Celestia entered her sister’s wing of the castle and gave a small nod to the Bat pony guards. She hadn’t seen her sister all day after the breakfast incident. She would have liked to talk to her much sooner, but the day court had started, and the grumpy old nobles didn’t like to wait.

"I do hope, Lulu is alright," Celestia said to herself seeing her sister door approaching. She stopped in front and was about to knock when she heard Luna squealing like crazy and a faint sound of dancing hooves. The elder princess rolled her eyes and recognize this reaction. Her dear sister had received a letter from Twilight Sparkle, and by the sound of her sister squeals, it was more special than the previous ones.

The Moon’s Special Star

Twilight sighed softly as she headed to the park and meet up with her friends. She did owe them an explanation on what had occurred in Canterlot after all. Twilight wasn’t too sure if she should tell her friends about her new relationship with Luna. Would they accept it? Wait, of course, they would. They were her best friends and would support her no matter what. She shouldn’t fear what their reactions would be. They deserved to know about Luna, she wouldn’t have to make up some weird stories whenever Luna visits… like in a few days for example.

"Hey girls," the bookworm exclaimed with a wave of a hoof. Starlight and the others all wave back, as Twilight trotted towards them. She sat down on the ground with a purple glow surrounding a daffodil sandwich and brought to her.

"So, what the hell happened in Canterlot?" Rainbow asked and grab some cookies, "What did the princess want?"

"It's an interesting story…." Twilight replied with a small sigh.

"Darling! You must tell us what happened in Canterlot?! Why did Princess Celestia want to see just you, and not the rest of us?" Rarity asked, not noticing Spike googling eye her with a ruby in his mouth.

"U… Unless…. You don’t want too…. that’s okay too…." Fluttershy whispered with her cup brought closer with her wing.

"What?! No way! I want to know why the princess didn’t want to see me!" the rainbow-coloured mare shouted with her hooves crossed. Applejack rolled her eyes and tug on Rainbow’s mane with a glare.

"Not really being loyal there, Rainbow," she said with a raised brow. Rainbow pfft and waved her hoof in the air before munching down on her sandwich. Twilight simply sighed as she watched Applejack and Rainbow argued.

Should I tell them now or later? They wouldn’t hate me just because I’m a fillyfooler…. no… that’s not how my friends are. I shouldn’t be doubting them like this…. What kind of friend am I, if I kept doubting them like this….

Twilight took a deep breath and muster up the courage. She cleared her voice to gain her friend's attention. Twilight waited for them to look at her before she continued.

"Celestia and well, Cadence. They were playing matchmaker with Luna and Me." Twilight started to explain and lowered her sandwich with the magic disappearing.

"What do you mean, Twilight?" Applejack asked with a puzzled look.

"Maybe the princess wanted to celebrate your victory! Threw a large party with cakes, balloons with lots, and lots of gifts!" Pinkie shouted before firing her party cannon. Rarity groans and waved some of the confetti away from her food with her hoof.

"That’s something you would do, Pinkie," Applejack said.

"Just let Twilight finish okay?" Rarity said and turn her head towards the purple mare, "Go ahead, darling"

"Yeah, once we listen to Twilight’s explanation well have all of our answers," Starlight said

"Celestia and Cadence knew Luna had a romantic crush on me, and they wanted to help her to confess her feelings towards me. So, Celestia asked me to come to Canterlot without you guys. Once I arrived at Canterlot they left me alone with Luna. I was soon shown a hidden wing of the castle which was amazing by the way! And that’s when…. Luna confessed her feelings towards me." Twilight explained with a big sigh at the end of her sentence. She looks at her friends who all a shock looks on their faces.

Oh…. That’s not good…. that’s not good. Wait maybe it’s a good thing…. Right? I just told them I was a fillyfooler…. Wait did I tell them I felt the same way for Luna? I don’t think I did…. But they probably got the point… right?

"And well…. On my way to Canterlot… I started to realize I had feelings for Luna in return." Twilight continued and sighed even more, "At first I thought those feelings were normal…. But I quickly realized it was something more."

"So…. You're in love with Princess Luna?" Rarity said. Twilight simply nodded and looked at her other friends.

"And… you two are dating?" Starlight continued with Twilight nodding in response.

"And we’ll probably see her around Ponyville…. Pretty often, right?" Rainbow continued with the others.

"Oh! That’s wonderful, Twilight!" Fluttershy said quickly taking Twilight into an embrace, "You and Luna are perfect for each other!"

"I agree with Fluttershy! Twilight that’s amazing!" Applejack said, hugging her once Fluttershy decided to let go.

"OH! Luna around Ponyville? That’s sweet! I can't wait to see her and get her back for that prank she pulled on me!" Rainbow said with an evil grin appearing on her muzzle.

"Rainbow that prank is a few years old already," Applejack said and rolled her eyes. She couldn’t believe Rainbow Dash, was holding a grudge against a princess of Equestria; for a prank, she pulled a few years ago.

"Hey! No one pranks Rainbow Dash!" the blue Pegasus said with a flick of her tail.

"Twilight, I’m so happy for you!" Spike shouted in joy, quickly running towards Twilight and taking her hoof into his arms. "You deserve to be happy!" he said.

"Thank you, Spike," Twilight replied hugging the baby dragon in return.

"Starlight, Rarity, Pinkie…. you’ve all been quiet?" Twilight asked with a worried tone.

"PARTY!" Pinkie shouted with random confetti appearing around her, before taking Twilight into another hug. "We need to celebrate!" she shouted with a random cake appearing out of nowhere.

"So… that explains why you keep turning those stallions away." Rarity said with everything starting to make sense, "Darling! You should have told me you prefer mares. I could have set you up with so many mares!" Rarity said with a smile.

"It wouldn’t have mattered, Rarity," Starlight said turning to her, "She likes Luna."

"So… you’re all alright with this…. I mean… me being a fillyfooler?" Twilight asked with her hoof brought up to the tip of her mouth.

"Twilight, you saved me from going further down the wrong path. You’re the princess of friendship and have done so much for others. You deserve to be happy with a pony who loves you, whether it be a stallion or a mare." Starlight said with a big smile. Twilight felt tears built up before embracing all her friends; her wings stretch out, so she could hug them all properly.

"So! When is Luna coming to Ponyville?" Applejack asked breaking the silence. Twilight sat back down and closed her wings. Rarity and the others all sat back down at their spots and look at Twilight to respond.

"Uh…. Well, I have a date with Luna in two days…." Twilight said and grab another sandwich, "Not too sure what she has planned."

"That’s so romantic!" Rarity said and started to gush over it. She had always wished that one of her old coltfriend, had done something so romantic. "You're so lucky, darling!" she said before returning to her fantasy.

"Now calm down, Rarity," Applejack said with a shook of her head, "Don’t start invading Twilight’s dates."

"That’s actually not a bad idea, darling," the white unicorn said with a grin.

"I can help, Rarity," Spike said

"Please don’t…." Twilight said with a concerned look at her face.

Twilight sat in the park and look up at the night sky. Tonight, was the big night, she was about to have her date with Luna. She was both excited and nervous about the date. Excited to see Luna and what she had planned for them, and nervous because, well it was her first date with another mare. She only realized she was a fillyfooler a day ago and was very new to this.

"Love," Twilight look back behind her and saw Luna gently place her hooves on the soft grass. A smile was on the navy-blue mare’s muzzle. She gently folded her wings to her side and walked over to her marefriend

"Luna," Twilight smiled and went to nuzzle the princess of the night. Luna wasn’t going to accept a simple nuzzle. She places her hoof under Twilight’s chin and lifted her head up to bring her into a kiss. The purple alicorn was surprised at first before she happily kissed her back.

She’s so adorable, Luna smiled with her eyes closed. She didn’t see Twilight’s face turn a bright red, but she had a good idea what her reaction was. "Ready to go, love?" Luna asked and gave her a small nudge.

"Where are we going?" Twilight asked seeing Luna open her wings, "Are we flying?"

"Love, just follow me and you’ll find out," Luna said taking a small leap into the air and took flight. Twilight smiled and took a leap into the air. Twilight flap her wings and caught up to Luna, "Are you excited for the date?" she asked

"I am…. Excited and nervous," Twilight replied with her front hooves touching her each other, "Excited to see you again, and nervous because this is a new experience for me."

"I wanted to make this date simple and perfect," Luna said looking up at the approaching massive cloud, "And here we are."

"What? We’re already here?" Twilight asked. The younger alicorn thought their date would be in some fancy restaurant or maybe some concert. "A cloud?" Twilight asked flying above it before landing on top of it.

"Just hold on, love," Luna said with a chuckle. She landed next to Twilight with her horn surrounded in a blue glow, "Haven’t you noticed there were no stars tonight?" she asked with a raised brow.

Twilight opened her mouth and formed an ‘O’ with her lips. She didn’t even notice there were no stars tonight, but now that Luna had mentioned it; yes, it was weird there were no stars. Ever since Luna’s return there were always stars in the night sky. During her banishment, Celestia would occasionally raise the stars along with the moon, but most nights there wouldn’t be a single one. Twilight had asked Celestia why such occurrence would happen when she was a filly, but the solar princess simply brushed it off; Twilight never brought up the subject again.

"Now that you mention it…. I do…" Twilight said adjusting herself in a more comfortable position, "Before your turn, Luna. There were hardly any stars at night. I thought it was weird… how some nights there were, and others none. I had asked Celestia about it one time, but she quickly changed subjects."

"When I was freed from Nightmare Moon, my sister had told me something interesting about the stars," Luna said with a soft smile. Twilight looked up at the sky with her eyes twinkling, as one by one a star would appear in the night sky. She turned her head to listen to Luna’s story, "Celestia told me about how she would hardly raise the stars."

"I've always wanted to know why. The stars are so beautiful at night, so many travelers would use them to find their way. I would always get worried about the travelers when the stars didn’t appear at night." Twilight said, moving her hoof against the cloud’s surface.

"My sister didn’t like raising the stars because she remembered how much I loved them as a filly. As a filly, I would have so much fun raising the stars, create new ones and moved them around to make images." Luna explained and waved her hoof towards the sky with even more stars appearing. "Stars were always the favourite part of my nightly duties," Luna leaned over and nuzzled Twilight’s cheek, "When I returned…. I couldn’t find any joy in raising the stars as I used too. Everything changed when I got to know you."

"Luna…" was the only words that left Twilight’s lips. She always knew, she had an important place in Luna’s life but never realized how important it was. Do I really mean that much to her? Twilight cheeks turn redder and look away slightly.

"Look up at the sky, love," Luna whispered and wrap her wings around the purple mare, "There’s a new star."

Twilight turned her head to look at Luna before turning her gaze to the night sky. She tilted her head slightly and notice a new star near the moon. She gasps and couldn’t believe how different this star is. This star is pink, the same shade of pink as her cutie mark. It shines brightly alongside the moon; finally, happy to have found each other.

"The moon’s special star," Luna said with her horn glowing, "Don’t you think, love?"

"Luna… this star is amazing," Twilight said seeing a basket appear. Luna had placed a special spell on the basket and it contains, so it wouldn’t fall through the cloud. "I can’t believe you made a star for me…. I don’t know what to say…." Twilight said with a smile growing even more on her muzzle.

Luna…. You didn’t have to do this for me… you’re truly amazing. Twilight moved closer and leaned against Luna’s side. The softness of her fur against her own, the scent of her filled Twilight’s nose, with Luna’s wing keeping her safe from the cold wind. She felt Luna place her head on top of her, "Thank you, so much," whispered softly.

"You’re welcome, love," Luna whispered back, hugging her tightly with her wing, "I brought us some food if you're hungry?"

"I just want to enjoy this moment with you," Twilight said bringing Luna into a kiss.

"Well, well, the date must be going well," Celestia said softly staring at the night sky from her balcony. She smiled and entered her chambers, "This new star is going to need a name"

The Moon’s Special Star

The two princesses ate the food Luna had brought and simply cuddle for hours on end. So much has happened during these last days. Luna admitted her feelings towards Twilight, she was surprised to learn she felt the same and they were now marefriends. Luna was munching her muffin and notice Twilight, moving around at the corner of her eye. She turned her head and saw her walking towards the edge of the cloud and look down at the earth below.

"Love? What’s wrong?" Luna asked sitting up with her wing gently closing to her side.

“The view down below is lovely... I think I can see the apple farm from here” Twilight said. She leaned against the edge of the cloud, titled forward with her flank in the air. She casually moved her tail once and awhile, as she admired the ground below.

sweet.... sister...., Luna looked down at the embarrassing moment Twilight had placed her in. There was Twilight, her nice flank sticking out in the air as she innocently looks at the world beneath them. The lunar princess cheeks turn bright red as she tried to compose herself. She attempted to look away but found herself taking a few glances at Twilight’s flank. Come on Luna.... don't.... lose... contr-, at that moment, Luna’s wings flung straight out. She gasps and attempted to push her wings back in a folding position, but her wings kept resisting against her hooves.

"I think I can see a few ponies.... they look like ants from up here,” Twilight said; eyes fixed on the ground and unaware of Luna predicament.

"Yup! Sure, is love" Luna quickly replied with her horn glowing. She surrounded her wings in her magic and forced them to fold against her back. Get down already! I don’t need Twilight to see me like this!

Luna groans and quickly look back at Twilight. At moments like these! The lunar princess hated being part Pegasus. Pegasus wings would suddenly open in an... Well, erect way. Indicating the pony was aroused...... everypony knew what it meant; she didn’t need to explain THAT to Twilight, who would obviously know either way. Luna gave once more push with her hooves, magic, and thought about sad puppies to finally get her wings back to normal.

"When I was a unicorn," Twilight said backing away from the edge and turned to face Luna, who simply smile at her. “I’ve always wanted to fly, see the ponies below and the beautiful landscapes. I had so much fun simply looking down whenever I was in a hot air balloon, or a carriage”

"That’s very sweet, love" Luna said going back to her original position. She opened one of her wings and motioned her head for Twilight to cuddle against her.

"Of course, now I have wings, I can enjoy the view every day. It’s still stunning" Twilight said going back to her original position as well. Luna smiled and wrapped her wing around the purple alicorn. She nuzzled against Twilight and leaned over to kiss her when she noticed one of her lunar guards approaching them.

"Princess Luna, Princess Twilight," The bat pony said with a salute before landing on the cloud. "Please Excuse the interruption," he said and bowed his head.

"What is it?" Luna asked, removing her wing from Twilight's side with a pout forming on the purple mare’s muzzle.

"Princess Celestia would like for you to return to Canterlot. It’s time to raise the sun" he said. Luna got up on her hooves and look at the horizon. She noticed the sun anxiously waiting to be raised.

"I see... I didn’t realize we were out all night" she said and looked back at her mare friend, "it seems we’ll have to end the date, love"

"Unfortunately," Twilight replied with a sigh.

"I’ll bring you home before leaving for Canterlot" Luna said looking back at her guard, "Please tell my sister I’ll be back in 20 minutes”

The bat pony saluted them both and quickly flew off. Luna and Twilight made their way back to Ponyville. They arrived at Twilight’s castle and landed on the balcony.

"So, when’s our next date?" Twilight asked and opened the doors with her magic.

"Why don’t you come to Canterlot, love?" Luna asked and pulled Twilight closer with her wing "So, my dear sister won’t send another one of my guards?"

"Hm... I’m free tomorrow if you are?" Twilight asked and nuzzles Luna’s chest.

"Perfect, I can't wait to see you, love," she said. The two passionately kissed each other. Their tongues started to explore each other mouths and attempting to dominate the other. Twilight tried to take over the kiss, but Luna overpowered her and took control of the kiss. Twilight shiver slightly and felt Luna’s hoof moving along her cutie mark. The purple princess jumps at the sudden sensation and moans softly into Luna’s mouth.

"Luna...." Twilight managed to say after breaking the kiss. Her cheeks quickly turn red, ears pinned back with her eyes looking away from her lover. She took the moment to catch her breath as well.

"I don’t like to lose, love" Luna whispered into Twilight's ear. She gave a quick peck on Twilight lips before flying off, “Until tomorrow, love"

Luna returned to Canterlot with Celestia impatiently waiting for the princess of the night. The younger sister landed on the balcony, they would usually share when raising and lowering their respective Celestial being. Luna folded her wings and could her the impatient tapping of her sister’s hoof.

"I am here, dear sister. Do forgive me for my tardiness" Luna said. She looks over at the moon with her horn glowing in its blue glow. She closed eyes with the moon slowly descending. The elder alicorn rolled her eyes with her horn glowing in gold. The sun soon rose and took the moon’s place, as it signals the start of a new day.

"Luna, you’re late. The last time that happened you overslept, after spending your time playing games." The elder said, scolding her younger sister.

"I apologize, Tia," Luna said. She turns away and made her way back inside and flick her tail as she passed her sister.

"So, how did your date go?" Celestia asked, following her sister inside, "You were gone all night. No pony knew where you were"

"Ah.... yes... I had originally intended to be gone for two or three hours. I Can see why ponies got worried when I didn’t return at all." Luna explained. She had told her guardsmen, servants, and the few ponies of the night court that she would be gone for two, three hours at most. But spending time with Twilight; made the lunar princess lose track of time.

"Lulu, you can’t just abandon your duties like that" Celestia said and sighed. Celestia was purposely giving her sister more and more responsibilities; one to help light her own work load, and to make Luna feel she’s needed for Equestria to run smoothly.

"Sister, I didn’t abandon my duties. I just forgot by accident when I was out with Twilight," The younger sister said. She sat down and started to remove her regalia and teleported them back to her chambers, "I’m happy for both of you, sister, but you can’t forget you have responsibilities either."

"I know, sister!" Luna said in a huff before leaving.

“Luna,” Celestia said before Luna could leave completely, “I notice the new star. Have you thought of a name?”

Luna tap her chin ever so lightly with her hoof, as she quickly brainstorm possible names. She wanted the name to be perfect for the most perfect star. A smile appear on Luna’s muzzle, she has the perfect name this entire time.

“Crepusculum Coruscent” Luna replied with a light blush around her face, “Twilight Sparkle”

“I’m certain Twilight will love the name” Celestia said nuzzling her sister’s cheek, “Just be careful next time, sister. I’m not going to stop you from seeing Twilight. I just want you to remember your other duties”.

“Thank you, sister” Luna said nuzzling her back. Celestia sniled and wrapped her massive wing around the younger alicorn.

Celestia entered her throne room to begin the day court. She sighed and looked over the old grumpy nobles. Over a thousand years have passed and the nobles were still stubborn and old fashion as ever; not to mention they believe everything with value or power, should be handed to them first. The solar princess could remember the times before the day court was formed. It was the best time of her life! No nobles complaining how they didn’t receive their money on time, arguing over land, and complaining how the commoners were getting too populated and demanded fair wages.

"Good morning, everypony," Celestia said looking over at the nobles, "Shall we begin?"

"The first issue brought up for today’s day court," Raven said pushing her glasses up with her hoof, "The pony’s right group. Would like for you, Princess Celestia of Equestria, to legalize same-sex marriages. They would also would like to request a severe punishment for any hate crimes against them."

I totally forgot about that law. Celestia kept her calm composure on the outside but deep down she was in shock. How could she forget such an important law?! This issue involves Luna and Twilight now. If they ever want to marry one day… and knowing Luna…. That’s something she would truly wish to do with Twilight. They wouldn’t be able too. These are new times, Celestia, how could you forget about this ridiculous law. Equestria is behind other nations.

Celestia sighed softly, realizing Equestria was the only place where same-sex marriages weren’t legal. Of course, the subject had been brought up before, but the nobles would always vote against it. Long ago, Celestia thought passing new laws by votes would help. It was to allow the ‘public’ to express their views on new laws. But now, this method of allowing nobles to votes, made Equestria fall behind. And over something so important like pony’s rights?!

And I call myself the ruler of Equestria? Celestia looks down and felt terrible. She wasn’t going to allow the nobles get their way this time. Not anymore! This new law was long overdue, and she owed her citizens this right. A pony should be allowed to marry whoever they want, regardless of gender.

"Same-sex marriage?" a noble unicorn said and laugh in disbelief, "You got to be kidding me, right? Princess Celestia, you can’t seriously consider legalizing such unholy acts?!"

"Of course, not! We’ve rejected this law before! And we’ll do it again," an overdressed Pegasus said, "Marriage should be between a mare and a stallion! Could you imagine how the foals would turn out with same sex parents?!"

"Disgusting! Why would you say such a thing!" Blueblood said and stuck his royal tongue out, "Aunty, you should throw this ‘pony right’s’ group in prison!"

"Enough!" Celestia said with a slight hint of the Royal Canterlot voice. The nobles were all caught off guard. They had never seen the princess react in such a way. She was always so regal and calm, "I will be passing this law! This law is well overdue."

"You want to pass this law… so this… things can commit a crime against nature?!" a stallion shouted from the back.

"These… PONIES… don’t deserve to wed each other," Blueblood said

"Those ponies! Love each other. They just so happen to love a pony of the same gender. I don’t see what the problem here? Stallions, mares, we’re all ponies either way." Celestia said turning her head slightly to look over at the nobles.

"Aunty! You want to see foals being raised by two mares or two stallions? The foals could all be mentally slow, or worst!" Blueblood said and continued in his debate against his aunt.

"For thousands of years! This view on pony loves has been with us. It's time to stop and change along with the rest of the world. Other countries have allowed same-sex marriage and they haven’t fallen into ruin." Celestia said closing her eyes. She wasn’t going to allow the nobles to push her around this time. "There is no discussion! This law shall pass!" the solar ruler said.

"But this law has to be pass by a vote," the unicorn stallion from before said with a smile, hoping he had stopped this crime against nature to proceed.

"I am! The ruler of Equestria and I’ve made my decision. Miss Raven, please have the law written, place in effect and announced." Celestia said turning to the white unicorn.

"With pleasure, Princess," she said with a big smile on her muzzle.

"But Princess Celestia, you-" the noble was cut off when Celestia sat up from her throne and made her way to the doors.

"I’ve decided to cut the day court short today," she simply said with her horn surrounded in her golden glow, "Please excuse me."

The nobles all stared in shock as they watch Celestia leave the throne room. They turn to each other and mumble in anger. They couldn’t believe what they have just witnessed. Princess Celestia had disregarded their ruling system and allow this disgusting law to pass!

"She’s going to pay for this…."

Starlight entered the throne room and found Twilight with her nose in a book. She smiled and wasn’t surprised to see this. She walked over and gently nudge Twilight’s book to gain her attention. The princess jump with a small yelp escaping her mouth.

"Oh! Starlight," she said and pushed her book back with her hoof, "I didn’t hear you come in."

"Twilight, how did your date with Princess Luna go?" She asked

"It went really well," Twilight said with a small blush appearing on her cheeks, "Just perfect"

Oh…. Well, something interesting must have happened. Starlight smirk and wondered if the two did it. Twilight wasn’t seen all night after all.

As though, Twilight could sense Starlight’s immature imagination, she quickly turned back at her student. "We didn’t do anything like that!" She blurted out and blush even more but this time in embarrassment.

"Hm…" was all that came out of Starlight’s lips. Twilight frown and look away with when she felt another nudge.

“Also! Have you notice there’s a new star? It’s quite stunning” Starlight said, “Right beside the moon. It looks like this new star is the moon’s friend or something”

“Luna made that star for me” Twilight said smiling fondly at the memories of last night.

“Seriously? Wow! That’s amazing, Twilight” Starlight said and notice her mentor blushing even more, “Uh.... do you want me to leave you alone?”

Twilight didn’t respond and gush even more, remembering the moment Luna showed her the star. Starlight took it as a yes, and left. Twilight eventually look around and saw Starlight was gone. She sighs and looks at her book when she felt a strange sensation. She looks down at her left side, where the wounds used to be. Her horn lit up and tried to examine what was going on, but her magic was suddenly pushed back.

"What the…. But Luna healed this wound…." Twilight said attempting once more to examine her ribcage. She was once more pushed back, and the sensation grew stronger. She shifted at the uncomfortable feeling when it suddenly stops. "What did Tirek’s magic do…" Twilight whispered. She worriedly placed her hoof on her ribcage, and gently moved it down, trying to feel if there was something irregular.

It’s been an almost a month since Luna had admitted her true feelings towards Twilight, and she honestly couldn’t be any happier. She wasn’t even grumpy in the mornings anymore, believe it or not. Luna had spent so many years fearing the darkness and was finally able to find the light. Twilight was her light. She motivated the lunar princess stay on the right path, away from the darkness who eagerly whispered into her ears. Luna couldn’t be any happier, but she was kept in the dark of Twilight’s condition. Twilight could feel this weird magic following from her rib cage to her chest. The purple princess chooses not to inform any pony about this. She wanted to solve this issue by herself which probably broke one of her friendship lessons. But she was determined to figure this out on her own.

"Twilight! You got a letter from Luna" Spike called out and walked over with a scroll.

"Thank you, Spike" Twilight said taking the scroll in her magic’s grasp. She removed the seal and read the letter over.

I can't wait to see you tonight for our date. We’ve been so busy lately that were unable to see each other. I dearly missing holding you in my hooves and teasing you. Once you arrive, I have something special for you. I know it’s early, but I wanted to celebrate our first month anniversary! Tia told me ponies did this now. Twilight smiled and placed the scroll down. They both recently started to be intimate, and Luna claimed to have ‘discover’ a certain spell. It allows mares to use, a certain male part for a few hours. Luna hadn’t gotten the chance to use it yet, but Twilight knew she was eager too. Twilight had to admit, she never thought her sex life would be this interesting. Twilight smile as she thought about Luna’s plans for tonight. She brought over a quill when she felt the sensation remerge once more. This feeling was so weird, she could feel her magic reacting against it. As if, the two forces were fighting each other.

Maybe I should tell Luna about this? She has been around for over thousands of years… she might have an idea. But Twilight thought with her hoof subconsciously placing itself over her heart. The sensation was just that. Sensations that felt weird whenever she was around Luna; for the time being, Twilight was able to ignore it at times, but she still wanted answers. Should I really be doing this... But he’s the only one who might know... it’s his magic after all.

Twilight couldn’t believe her mind was even considering this. A part of her wanted to see Tirek and ask him what he had done; to reverse whatever dark magic he had placed on her. But she couldn’t do something so reckless, not after all the lessons of friendship she learned over the years. So why isn’t she telling her friends or Luna about this? They could be helping her and yet, here she was. Lips closed and keeping this a secret from every pony. I just don’t want to worry Luna about this.... or my friends.

"Maybe.... one visit wouldn’t hurt" Twilight said to herself. She sighed and felt the rational side of her brain screaming at her for doing something so stupid. But had this other feeling it was the right thing to do.

Twilight sealed the letter with her seal and asked Spike to send it off. The dragon placed his mixing bowl down and fired a blue flame. The scroll disappeared in a smoke of ash as it flew away.

"Hungry Twilight? I’m making pancakes" Spike said and took the bowl once more and mix the batter.

"Sorry Spike, something came up and I have to go," Twilight said and nuzzling him in the cheek, "I’ll see you later Alright?"

"Twilight, are you alright? You’ve been.... deep in thought a lot lately? I mean more than usually," the dragon asked and placed a concerning claw on Twilight's side. "We’re here you know. Your family, friends, Celestia, me and especially Luna. So, if something on your mind just tells us"

"Of course, I remember" Twilight said smiling at him. She was so happy Spike was here. He was her voice of reasoning on many occasions, and of course her number one assistant. He was family after all, "This is something... I want to handle myself. But it shouldn’t take too long"

Spike was about to open his mouth when Twilight disappeared in a flash of magic. He sighed and turned to his pancake batter, his eyes staring inside of the bowl. He just knew something was wrong and Twilight wouldn’t tell him.

"I need to ask the others" Spike placed the bowl down and jump down from his stool. He threw his apron to the ground and rushed out the door to find the others.

Twilight reappeared in front of the gates of Tartarus. The last time she was here was when Cerberus left his post. She walked over to the large doors which kept the monsters inside, including Tirek. Twilight back away, flapping her wings and examined the top half of the door. Twilight’s hooves gently touched the ground with a smile appearing on her muzzle.

"Magic...." the word left the purple mare’s mouth. She back away and fired a powerful ray straight at the small opening. Her ears lifted when she heard the doors slowly making a sound. Twilight stop the release of her magic and saw the doors opening ever so slightly.

Am I making the right choice…., Twilight look back behind her, Equestria. Her friends, her family, her lover. Everyone was behind her and yet, she couldn’t bring herself to ask for their help? What in Celestia’s name was wrong with her.

“Princess Twilight Sparkle, I've been waiting for your arrival” Twilight’s ears perk up at the unmistakable voice. The purple alicorn frown and rushed inside; her worries and fears left at the door.

"Tirek!" Twilight shouted running towards his lonely cell which sat on an island rock platform. "What have you do-!” Twilight was caught off when Cerberus suddenly block her path. Twilight froze slightly as the three-headed hounds growled at her.

"You’ll have to get through him first, if you wish to talk, princess." Tirek mock with his claw tapping on his cell’s bars.

"Uh.... hey, Cerberus... do you remember me?" Twilight asked with a small smile forming on her muzzle. She gulps as the hellhound simply growled at her. She looks around, seeing other creatures she had encountered before in cells as well. Twilight turned to the hellhound, "If only Fluttershy was here.... she could calm him down."

Cerberus approaches Twilight and growled even more. His hot breath hitting Twilight’s fur and made her uncomfortable. She quickly tried to think of a way to please this hound. She had to speak to Tirek. Twilight quickly went through the spells in her mental library until she realized she was over thinking this. Cerberus was a dog after all.

"Do you want a toy, boy?" Twilight asked with a large tree suddenly appearing in her magic glow. She smiled and waved the tree in the air. "Do you want it? Hm?" she asked seeing Cerberus’s eyes follow the tree. Twilight smiled and gently tossed the tree towards him. Cerberus happily caught the tree with all three heads biting down on their new toy. Twilight waited a few seconds to make sure Cerberus was occupied before heading to Tirek.

"What did you do!" Twilight shouted as she stops in front of his cell. She angrily stood in front of the bars, nose to nose with him.

"You’re going have to be more specific, your highness," he said in a mockery tone with a grin on his face.

"You burnt my left side! And now I have this weird sensation! It feels like my magic is fighting against it! I know your magic is behind this!" Twilight said with her ears pinned back, and eyes narrowed at him.

Tirek chuckle softly before erupting in laughter. Twilight back away slightly at the sudden reaction. If she wasn’t certain before, she was now; Tirek was behind this. The centaur’s arm suddenly went through the bars and grab the unexpected princess of friendship’s muzzle. He pulled back and forced Twilight to hit against the bars, wings spread out and flapping frantically to break free from his grip.

"Foolish Princess.... you made a grave mistake coming here," Tirek said with his smile growing. He opened his other hand; Twilight look down and saw a ball of dark magic forming.

"I’m not going to allow you!" Twilight shouted. Her horn lit up and was about to perform a counterspell, but it was too late. She felt a sharp pain through her chest.

"You’re far too late! Princess!" Tirek said. He quickly shoved the orb of magic inside of Twilight’s chest and shoved her back. Twilight fell back and landed on her flank. She gasps and quickly examined her chest and look for a wound.

"What did... what did you do to me?!" Twilight demanded as she got up. Tirek simply laughs even more to the princess annoyance. Her eyes narrowed with her horn lighting up. If he wasn’t going to tell her then she would force him too. She was about to fire a spell when she shouted in pain. She hit the ground, clenching her chest as it felt her heart had been stab from the inside.

"Do you like it?" Tirek with a smile on his face and snickering, "A little something for you"

"Wh... What did you.... do...?" Twilight managed to ask through her moans of pain.

"That! My dear princess of friendship is a curse. I just cursed your heart. The sensation you call it…. Well its just to lure you here." he said and turn away from her, crossing his arms behind his back. "A very ancient spell lost to time. Well, until now of course. A little birdie told me about your new relationship with Princess Luna and I must admit... I didn’t think you swing that way. You defeated me Twilight Sparkle! Because of you, I’m stuck here again once more. If I can’t defeat you in a traditional battle than I’ll defeat you with your heart! Every time your.... princess approaches you. The curse will attack your heart! In other words, the longer Luna is holding you the quicker you’ll die. You’ll never be able to be with her again!" Tirek shouted before bursting into laughter once more, "I HAVE WON!"

Twilight’s eyes widen in horror as everything crashed down. She had just been cursed because of her reckless choices. She could have prevented all of this, if only she told somepony. She looks back and saw Cerberus giving her a sympathetic look.

"And this curse will prevent you from harming me! So, don’t worry, you’ll be able to get out of Tartarus, Unlike me. But knowing you’ll be miserable for the rest of your days, or even better dead! Is worth it! I won either way." he said. He placed a hand under Twilight’s chin and slowly lifted her head. Forcing her to look at him as he spoke, "Do come again to see me, Princess” he said and pushed Twilight back.

What have I done...., Twilight didn’t respond and simply turn around and left. She ignored Tirek’s laughter of joy. A single tear fell from her eye as the doors of Tartarus opened.

Luna sat at her balcony and anxiously waited for Twilight’s arrival. The lunar princess smile, remembering the fond memories they’ve spent together. They would watch the night sky, talked for endless hours, and... other things. Luna’s balcony wasn’t too far from her bed. Luna looked at the time and watch the hand tick away. She wanted to hold Twilight so badly, her hooves craved the softness of her fur, the small giggle she would hear, and the constant blushing. "What’s taking so long..." Luna mumbles softly and paced around her balcony. She sighed and glanced over at the clock once more. The hand stopped at the new hour, she was an hour late. That wasn’t normal of her love. She was always on time if not an hour early. And whenever she was late it wouldn’t have been more than a minute.

Has something happened? Luna thought and saw Ponyville at the distance. She frowned and opened her wings, she quickly flew to Ponyville with Twilight’s castle in sight. The moon princess just knew something wasn’t right. Twilight was acting weird lately and wouldn’t speak of it whenever asked about it. Luna would sometimes catch, Twilight touching her chest with her hoof whenever she thought the lunar princess wasn’t looking. Luna landed on Twilight balcony with a small grunt escaping her mouth. She quickly pushed the doors open with her hoof and saw Twilight nose deep inside of a book.

This spell must be here…. A cure must exist! Twilight thought, throwing the book she was reading to the side before taking another one.

"Love? Did you forget about our date?" Luna asks as she slowly approaches the bookworm. Twilight looked up from her book when she quickly clenched her chest in pain. True to the words of Tirek, the immediately attacked her heart with the pain growing even more as Luna got closer. Luna gasp seeing Twilight in such pain, she quickly rushed to her aid when she was suddenly pushed back by a shield. Twilight wasn’t as good with shields as Shining, but it was good enough to stop Luna in her tracks.

"Love? " Luna said with a confused look plastered on her face.

"Don’t.... too.... close...." Twilight managed to say through her groans of pain.

"Love! What’s going on! Let me in! Let me help you!" Luna frantically shouted, trying to break through the portal. Twilight shook her head and managed to grow the shield, pushing Luna back out on the balcony. As soon as Luna was at a good distance from her, she felt the pain from her chest disappearing. "Twilight! Please let me through! Please! What’s going on?! Why are you in such pain!" Luna shouted and attempted to break through the shield that was holding her back.

"Luna, I can explain everything... but you have to promise me not to move." Twilight said with her hoof still clenching her chest, “Alright? Once the shield is down. Don’t move"

"Twilight, are you alright? What’s going on with your heart?" Luna asked and could feel tears forming. Twilight looked down with tears of her own forming. She took a few moments to regain herself before she could continue to speak.

"Promise me and I’ll explain everything," Twilight said softly. Luna gave a small nod of her head; Twilight lowered the shield and as promised, Luna didn’t move. "The burn marks from Tirek.... well, after you healed them, I felt a strange sensation inside of me. At first, it stayed on my side but as time went on, and we got closer... this sensation moved to my chest. I foolishly decided not to tell anypony about this... believing I could solve this problem on my own and spare you the worry. It turns out this sensation was to lure me to Tartarus and seek him out."

"What... love, why didn’t you tell me? I could have tried the healing spell! And why would you go to Tartarus to see that Monster!" Luna said. She felt hurt, her own marefriend hadn’t confided in her. Did Twilight refuse to ask for her aid because she didn’t trust her?

"I know! I know! I’m so sorry Luna!" Twilight said with tears overflowing. Luna hated seeing Twilight cry, she desperately wanted to hold her. She wanted to brush her mane and comfort her, saying everything was alright. The lunar princess slowly walked towards Twilight once more, but quickly stop seeing Twilight in pain once more with her hoof clenching her chest.

"Twilight! Why is this happening?! Why are you in pain every time I tried to approach you?" Luna asked quickly returning to her original spot.

Luna looks so hurt.... she looks so betrayed and hurt.... and it’s all my fault, Twilight took a moment to regain herself from the latest attack on her heart. She looks up at Luna’s heartbroken expression.

"I wanted answers... I fell for Tirek ruse and spoke with him. He caught me off guard, pulled me against his cell and cursed my heart. He used an old forgotten spell; dark magic is causing all of this." she said simply. Luna gasps in disbelief, why would Twilight, willingly go see this monster?!

"He cursed your heart?" Luna asked, desperately holding back the urge to run over to Twilight to embrace her.

"This curse.... it will hurt my heart whenever you get too close to me. If we would hug for example... it would kill me on the spot. We can’t.... we can’t touch each other, we can’t even be close to each other because of this... and it’s all my fault!" Twilight cried out. She covered her eyes with her hooves as she wept. Luna was in shock as she processed everything Twilight had told her. If she would to ever hold Twilight again.... it would kill her.... by her own hooves, she could kill Twilight.

The Moon’s Special Star

"I’m so sorry, Luna! I’m so, so, sorry! I should I have told you everything from the start! None of this would have happened, if I wasn’t so stupid!" Twilight cried with tears dripping on the ground.

Oh…. Twilight…. I can’t bear to see her like this, Luna could feel her heart breaking into two; she was a little bit mad at Twilight for lying to her and not willing to trust her, and yet heart she wasn’t able to hold her anymore. Not many ponies have seen her cry like this, tears following down none stop, her eyes red, and her body shaking as she desperately held herself back from running towards her.

"Twilight, please stop crying, please," Luna beg, unable to see Twilight cry any longer. The moon princess knew if watched Twilight cry for a second longer, she would be rushing over to her, "Please…"

"I really want to hug you, Luna… you have no idea how badly…." Twilight said and whip some tears away with her hoof.

"I'm pretty sure I have a general idea, love," Luna replied with a sad smile on her muzzle, "We haven’t been able to see each other for almost two weeks."

"Luna," Twilight mutter. She sat up and slowly walked towards Luna, her teeth clenching together as she attempted to ignore the pain within her chest. Luna turned her head away and pushed Twilight back with her magic, "I…. I want to be with you so badly! This is all my fault, Luna."

This is all my fault, Twilight sat down on the floor, her head hung low with her ears pinned back, this is all my fault, she kept repeating to herself.

"Love, this isn’t your fault, alright? You just made a small mistake but…. But we can fix this." Luna said and muster up, the best fake smile she could, "Well find a way to cure you. I promise! I’ll find a way…"

"I love you, Luna, I love you so much," Twilight said as she lifted her head up and stared into Luna’s teal eyes.

The moon princess felt her cheeks becoming warm, she smiled at her and wished she could kiss her right now, "I love you, even more, love,"

"Luna…" Twilight simply said. Luna looks back and saw Crepusculum Coruscent shining brightly in the sky, she smiled and turned back to her marefriend.

"Love, look at Crepusculum Coruscent," Luna said with one wing opening and pointing to the night sky, "This star will shine until the end of time…. Just like my love for you. Please don’t blame yourself for what has occurred. I will always love you no matter what."

"I really do love that name," Twilight said with a smile on her face; the first smile since this cursed started.

I don’t want to leave her…. But I must go back, Luna closed her eyes with a deep sigh leaving her mouth. She looks into Twilight’s eyes and gave her a fake smile. "Come to Canterlot tomorrow, love, we’ll find a way," she said. Twilight sniff and nodded her head in response.

"What’s wrong Spike?" Rainbow asked while she tossed an apple in between her hooves, "Why did you call us so late?"

"And to the farm too? Why isn’t Twilight here?" Applejack said. Spike quickly look around outside before shutting the doors of the barn shut. He sighed and looked over Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, and Starlight. They all bore a worried and confused expression on their faces.

"It's about Twilight," the baby dragon said and sighed some more, "Haven't you guys notice she’s been acting weird lately?"

"Now that you mentioned it…… Twilight does seem lost in thought lately," Applejack said and tap her chin with her hoof, "I mean more than usual."

"Yeah… I’ve caught Twilight’s burying herself in books too," Starlight said, "I asked her what she was looking for, so I could help her, but she didn’t answer me. Well, she kind of did, but avoided my question altogether."

"That’s not like Twilight," Fluttershy said and sat up from the hay

"Indeed, this behavior reminds me when we first met her? Don’t you think? When she first arrived here, she was all suspicious about us, wanting to do everything by herself." Rarity said turning to the others, who all mumble in agreement.

"But why would Twilight go back to her old ways? She’s the Princess of Friendship, she knows she can trust us." Starlight said

"Something differently up, ya’ll! And need to ask her about it!" Applejack said and stomp her hoof against the wood floor.

The six friends entered Twilight’s castle and look around for her. They eventually found Twilight in her bedroom, her head down, ears pinned back, with small sounds of an audible crying. Spike pushed the mares to the side and ran towards Twilight.

"Twilight, what’s wrong?" he asked while the others walked over to her.

"I messed up girls…." Twilight whispered. Twilight looked at her friends and started to explain what had occurred. She watches as their worried reactions turn into confusion, shock, and slight anger. She couldn’t really blame them for being mad at her. She had kept such a huge secret from them and didn’t seek out their help when she needed it the most.

"Twilight, why didn’t you tell us about this?" Applejack asked and look at the others

"I didn’t want to worry anypony, but I quickly realized it was a mistake…. I made it much worse than it could have been." Twilight said as she shamefully looks down at her hooves, "I’m sorry everypony…. because of my actions…."

"Well, we aren’t too happy you didn’t trust us, Twilight," Rarity said and sighed, "But we can kind of see where your motives came from."

"You were more worried about us than yourself, right?" Fluttershy asked with Twilight nodding in response, "You didn’t want to worry us."

"I thought this sensation I was feeling was so minor…. I didn’t want to worry you guys if it turns out it was nothing." The princess of friendship said, "I thought I could handle it myself."

"Well, it looks like we have to hit the books and find this spell," Starlight said with a smile, "Right guys?"

"We’ll have you make this up to us later, Twi," Rainbow said and punch Twilight’s side, "Like the latest Daring Do for example?"

"OH! And then we can have a super doper party! Celebrating our victory! Yay!" Pinkie shouted and fired her party cannon, "I’m going to start planning!"

"You guys are amazing. I let you all down and yet…. You’re all ready to help me. Thank you all so much." Twilight said quickly taking her friends into a hug, "Thank you all so much."

"That’s what friends are for, Twilight," Starlight said

Celestia walked to her sister’s room after she failed to show for the lowering the moon. She loved her sister dearly, but she didn’t want her sister to ignore her duties like this; this was the third time, her sister was late on lowering the moon. She was knock on her sister’s bedroom door before entering. She looks around the dark room and saw her sister lying on her bed.

"Sister, you’re late again," Celestia said and placed her hoof on Luna’s shoulder, "We have to get the day started."

"Please just go away, Tia," Luna said with the pillow muffling her voice

"Sister, you can't ignore your responsibilities," Celestia said and sighed some more, "I understand you can lose track of time when you’re with Twilight, but you should be more careful."

"Celestia. Please. Leave. Me. Alone!" Luna said with her voice getting agitated

"Luna," Celestia said. The solar princess stopped when something in the corner of her eye caught her attention. She looks around the room and saw it was ransacked, furniture was flip over, books were thrown apart, and whatever wasn’t bolted down to the floor were scattered everywhere. "Luna… are you alright? What’s going on? What caused this?" Celestia asked turning back to her sister.

Luna look at her sister with tears pouring down her cheeks. She wraps her hooves around Celestia’s neck and cried into her coat. Celestia looks down confused as she wraps her hooves around her sister. She started to fear the worst. Did Twilight break things off with her sister? Or maybe Luna broke up with Twilight? What could it be?

"Sister…. Tirek…. Cursed Twilight’s heart…. I can't even touch her……" Luna managed to say through her tears. Celestia’s ears perk up at Tirek’s name, she knew how serious this was now. Now she had wished that Twilight or Luna had broken up with each other. A break up was way better than Tirek.

"Sister, you must tell me exactly what happened," Celestia said and held her sister’s face with her hooves, "Right now."

"That wound I healed on Twilight…. It was a spell to lure her to Tartarus, she was afraid to tell me about it. She didn’t tell me or any of her friends, and now Tirek cursed her heart. Whenever I get close to her… this spell will attack her heart… and if…. I hold her…. Too… long…. It. w-will…." Luna explained with more tears to flow, unable to finish the last word.

"Luna," Celestia wrap her wings around the small alicorn and brought her into an embrace. She sighed and gently nuzzled her cheek and tried to calm her sister down. She couldn’t believe all of this was happening. Why would Twilight not seek her help? Anyone’s help for the matter of fact.

"We’ll get through this, Luna, I promise you," Celestia said and simply held her sister in her hooves, "I’ve never seen you this happy after you started to date Twilight. And I couldn’t be any happier for the both of you. We’ll find a way sister, you’ll hold Twilight in her hooves once more."

"Tia…. I’m so scared… I’m so scared of…. hurting her" Luna said as she tightens her grip around her sister’s torso, "So scared of losing her…. I don’t know what would happen if I caused her death…. Just because I’m not able to hold myself back."

"Have you tried her dreams?" Celestia asked and whip some tears away with her wing tip, "Maybe there’s a loophole?"

"I haven’t…. I didn’t even ask about it…. But I doubt Twilight would know any more than me. I’ll try it when she goes to sleep." Luna said with a small hopeful smile.

"We’ll find a cure," Celestia said and kissed Luna’s forehead, "But first you must lower the moon before ponies get worried."

Luna looked down and took a deep breath. She nodded her head and followed Celestia to their balcony. The two celestial sisters lowered the moon and rose the sun, respectively. When night finally arrived, Luna stood in her room with her eyes closed. A white glow swirled around her horn with her surroundings fading away. The lunar princess opened her eyes and look around the dream realm.

"Twilight," she whispered. She smiled and stood in front of the door which leads to Twilight’s dreams. She wasn’t certain if Tirek’s curse would effect Twilight’s heart in the dream realm, but she had to give it a try. She opened the door with her magic and entered Twilight’s dream. "Love?" Luna stops and saw Twilight’s dream. Her lover was in her castle being surrounded by her friends, Celestia, and herself. They were all yelling at her for lying to them; her true fear, her nightmare.

"How could you betray us!" dream Applejack shouted

"You call yourself the princess of friendship?! And yet you don’t trust your own friends!" dream Celestia said and laugh, "Pathetic!"

"I’m so sorry!" Twilight cried with her hooves covering her ears in a fetal position.

"I’m done with you Twilight! I never loved you!" Dream Luna shouted

"LUNA!" Twilight desperately cried; she wasn’t crying because of dream Luna’s words. She was crying because she wanted the real Luna to save her. The lunar princess felt her heart sink, her horn quickly lit up with a bright flash. Twilight soon opened her eyes, she was no longer at her castle being yelled at, she was on a cloud with the night sky watching over her; she was back at the location of her first date.

"Love," Twilight slowly turn her head, a smile quickly appeared on her muzzle with her eyes lock on Luna.

The navy-blue mare smiled at her lover, "Twilight."

"Luna…," Twilight said with tears of joy starting to form. Luna stood at the edge of the cloud as Twilight stood across from her; the lunar princess wasn’t going to take a chance with that curse on her beloved’s heart.

"Do you think…. The curse effects you here?" Luna asked and look down slightly

"Let’s try it…" Twilight said and took a deep breath, "Slowly,"

Luna nodded and slowly walked towards Twilight, her eyes fixed on her lover’s chest, anxiously waiting for any signs of distress. The two kept staring at each other until they finally faced to face, inches away from each other.

"Are you…. Alright?" Luna asked with worried eyes lock onto Twilight, "Your heart?"

"Nothing…." Twilight said smiling big, "I don’t feel a thing!"

As soon as Twilight finish those words, Luna quickly took Twilight in her hooves and embraced her tightly. She buried her muzzle into Twilight’s mane and started to cry softly; she wasn’t holding Twilight in real life, but this was good enough. Twilight hug back tightly and cried as well.

"Love, I miss holding you…. I miss you so much," Luna said with her wings wrapping around the lavender mare, "This isn’t in the waking world…. but I don’t care."

"Luna, I-!" Twilight’s eyes widen and felt millions of knives piercing her heart. She shouted in horrible pain and clenched her chest. Her heart started to beat rapidly with a burning sensation making the pain even worst. Luna gasp and quickly back away from her, she returns to the edge of the cloud and saw Twilight slowly releasing her chest.

"Twilight!" Luna cried out. She looks away from her with tears following down once more, "I’m…. I’m so sorry! I’m so sorry Twilight! I just wanted to hold you so badly…. I’m so sorry!"

I can’t…. I can’t do this! I almost killed her! Luna cried as her horn started to glow.

"L-Luna… w-wait…." Twilight muttered. The pain from her chest had stopped but her body was still reacting from the sudden pain. Luna couldn’t bring herself to look at her lover, she simply performed a quick spell to make sure Twilight was alright; once she was certain Twilight’s life wasn’t in danger, the lunar princess left and returned to the waking world.

"Dammit..." Luna mumble. She fell to the ground and just cried her heart out. She was seconds away from killing Twilight, seconds, in just a few seconds…. She could have lost Twilight forever. "Twilight…," Luna whispered through her tears.

The Moon’s Special Star

Luna hung her head low, ears pinned back and her mane a complete mess. There were bags under her eyes indicating the lack of sleep, her eyes were red from crying all night with her mind going over what had occurred. She felt terrible for leaving Twilight in the dream realm as she did, but she was so afraid of hurting her. She didn’t know what to do, she didn’t even know where to start on finding a cure for the curse. Twilight was about to arrive in Canterlot and she knew, her marefriend would have many questions for her.

"Luna?" the younger sister lifted her head slightly and noticed a magical mane flowering next to her. She looked up with Celestia’s worrying gaze greeting her.

"Tia…" Luna simply replied

"Sister, what happened in the dream realm? Did it work? Could you touch Twilight?" Celestia asked and placed a wing around the lunar princess.

"No…. I hug her and then she screamed the most horrible pain…. It was the worst sound I’ve ever heard!" Luna cried out with whatever tears she had left. "I… I almost killed her, Tia," she said.

"Oh, Luna… I’m so sorry," Celestia said and took her sister in an embrace, "I said we would find a way and we will."

"I’m so sacred, Tia," Luna said and whip some tears away, "I don’t know what would happen if I caused Twilight’s death…. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself."

Would she turn into Nightmare Moon again? Celestia stared emotionless at nothing with her mind fearing the worst. She didn’t want to assume Luna would become Nightmare Moon whenever she got upset. She trusted her sister and the choices she makes, but hearing what her sister is saying right now; the fears the lunar princess felt, her uncertain future if the worst would happen.

If the worst would happen….. Celestia didn’t think she would be able to defeat Nightmare Moon this time around. She was no longer connected to the Elements of Harmony. There would be no way of defeating her, and she would accomplish her lifelong dream on ruling Equestria. The darkness wants to take hold of Luna…. It's just waiting for the right moment….. I can't allow this to happen. For Luna’s sake…. And for Equestria’s.

"I don’t know what to do… Tia…." Luna whispered. She placed her forehead against Celestia’s chest, making sure her horn wouldn’t harm her sister. Luna slowly closed her eyes and slump over; she hadn't sleep in two days and her body couldn’t take it anymore.

"First you’re going to rest, dear sister," Celestia said taking Luna in her magic ’s grip. She went to her sister’s room and gently placed her on the bed. She pulled the blanket over Luna’s sleeping form and kissed her cheek before leaving. The solar princess left the room and saw Raven standing in the hallway, her clipboard in her magic’s grip with a smile.

"Princess, Princess Twilight has arrived at the castle. We’ve shown her to her room and she’s waiting for you and Princess Luna in the throne room." Raven said and bowed her head slightly.

"Thank you, Miss Raven," Celestia said and gave the white unicorn a smile.

Twilight sat on the marble floor with her mind going over everything that has happened. She was relieved her friends forgave her for lying to them and started to make plans to make it up to them. But what worried her most was Luna. Her marefriend looked so hurt when she first learned about the cruse, not to mention her reaction during the dream realm.

Luna…. Why did you leave so suddenly? Why didn’t you stay? Twilight took a deep breath before sighing deeply. Her ears twitch as the sound of hooves clicking on a marble floor. Twilight looked back and smiled at the sight of her former tutor.

"Celestia," Twilight said and ran over to hug her. The solar princess smiled and happily hug back, she gave a quick nuzzle on Twilight’s cheek.

"Twilight, how are you feeling?" Celestia asked as the two parted from each other.

"Well…. Like normal… only because of Luna isn't around me." Twilight said sighing some more, "I hate this."

"I want to know more about this curse, so we can identify it and find a way to cure you," Celestia said and motioned to Raven to approach.

"Princess?" she asked and brought over her clipboard closer

"Please cancel the rest of my day. This takes top priority and it will need my full attention," Celestia said. Raven mouth opened slightly before she shook her head quickly. She looks over her clipboard and felt sweat forming on her forehead.

Dear Celestia…. They’re not going to be happy, Raven thought and gave Celestia a smile. She bowed her head and knew the nobles wouldn’t be happy about this.

"Twilight, please continue," Celestia said with the large doors closing behind Raven.

It was past noon before Twilight could leave the throne room. She had spent most of the morning explaining every detail she could about the curse on her heart. She also explained how the curse’s effects were delayed by two minutes in the dream realm, which she hadn't gotten the chance to tell Luna last night.

"Celestia told me Luna was resting… I should let her rest but I really want to talk to her…." Twilight mutter as she walked down the castle’s hallways, passing a few guards and servants who would bow their heads. "I finally know the maximum distance….. and the dream realm there’s a delay…." Twilight, lost in her thoughts wasn’t paying attention what was ahead of her. Until she accidentally bumps into a royal guard with an orange coat.

"Oof!" Twilight hit the ground and fell on her flank. She rubs her head slightly and noticed a hoof extended towards her.

"Oh! Princess, I’m so sorry." a very familiar voice said. Twilight looked up to see the guard’s face and was surprised to see its was Flash Sentry.

Flash? Twilight look at the extended hoof before accepting it. The guard’s pony gave her a smile as he helps her back on her hooves.

After the whole Sunset Shimmer incident; Twilight, at the insistence of Cadence started to talk to human’s Flash counterpart. She wanted to see how much human Flash and pony Flash were similar, and what the differences were between each other. She wasn’t really certain if she wanted a romantic relationship with him. She wonder if it was the right thing to do. She did have feelings for his human counterpart but none for his pony one. The idea of moving one’s feelings for somepony to another; all because they had a counterpart wasn’t right. She would be loving pony Flash for all of the wrong reasons. So, the princess of friendship did the best thing. She became friends with him instead.

"Are you alright?" he asked and dust off some dirt from her. Twilight gave a slight nod and smiled at him, "As I said…. We really have to stop meeting like this."

"Sorry, Flash," Twilight said and adjusted her wings, "I wasn’t looking where I was going."

"What’s on your mind, princess?" Flash asked lowering his hoof to the ground, "Anything I can help with?"

"Flash, I told you its Twilight," the purple mare said and laugh softly. She could finally understand the frustration Celestia and Luna felt, whenever she would call them princess instead of their names.

"Just force of habit," he said and laugh softly, "Sorry, prin-Twilight,"

It's like looking into a mirror, Twilight smiled and walked with Flash to his next post inside of the castle, "Its nothing really…. I can't really talk about it." Twilight said. Celestia told me to keep this a seret…. In order not to worry ponies…. And to discover that two out of the four princesses were fillyfoolers. It just wasn’t the right time with the curse as well.

"Sorry to hear that, Prin-Twilight," Flash said quickly catching himself. Man, if only his captain would see him now. He would lose it if he saw a royal guard, calling a royal princess of Equestria by her name.

Luna awoke from her well-needed sleep and found herself in her chambers. The lunar princess sighed deeply and left her room, not bothering to put on her royal regalia. She left her wing of the castle and made her way to the dining room.

"I should find Twilight….. but I don’t want to hurt her…" Luna mumble when she heard two ponies talking. Luna lifted her head up and saw Twilight and a guardpony talking down the hall from her. She raised a brow and stop in her tracks.

Love? And who’s that guardpony she’s talking too? The lunar princess frowns slightly and walked down the hall, I can't get too close.

"Luna," Twilight gave a soft smile at her beloved, "There’s so much we have to talk about."

"Lo-Twilight," Luna said quickly catching herself from making a grave mistake, "Who’s this?"

"Oh! How rude of me," Twilight said looking over at Flash, "Flash Sentry, he’s a guardpony at the Crystal Empire but recently return to Canterlot."

"Hm," Luna simply stared at Flash with an emotionless expression.

"Uh…. I should get back to work," Flash nervously said and rub the back of his neck with his hoof, "See you around, Twilight"

"Bye, Flash," Twilight wave and watched him leave. She smiled and turned back at Luna, who stood at a safe distance from her. The purple mare look around, making sure no guardspony or servant was nearby. "Luna, I miss you," Twilight said giving her a smile, "I wanted to talk to you about what happened in the dream realm."

"Love…. I miss you too…. I’m so sorry for what happened," Luna said and looked away, "I… I just couldn’t hold myself back from holding you…."

"No, Luna, didn’t you notice the effects were delayed?" Luna lifted her head with the realization hitting her. Her love was right! The effects of the cursed were indeed delayed, unlike the waking world.

“I’m so scared of hurting you, love” Luna said and looked away, “I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I caused your.....”

“It won’t happen, Luna,” she said with Luna looking up. “We can still hold each other, but it would have to be in the dream realm and for a short moment," Twilight said smiling at the lunar princess.

"Love, I wish I could kiss you right now…. But I’ll have to wait until tonight," she said and gave her a tender look, "I love you,"

"I love you, too," Twilight replied returning the tender look, "I’ve spent this morning with Celestia, telling her all about the curse. She has a few theories on what it could be…"

"We have to see Tirek and force it out of him," Luna said narrowing her eyes, "I’ll visit him."

"Luna, please don’t… don’t do the same mistake I did," Twilight said and hug herself with her hooves, "I don’t want to lose you,"

Luna gave her a small smile and wished she could kiss her. She knew Twilight loved her and cared about her well being, but hearing the words made her blush like a school filly, "Don’t worry about me, Love,"

"I can't help it, Luna…. Knowing Tirek…. He would tell you anything," Twilight said and lowered her hooves from her sides, "He might trick you or something…. Like he did for me."

"It won't happen, love, I promise." Twilight nodded her head with a light blush appearing on her cheeks. "Love? Something wrong?" Luna asked.

"When this is over…. I really want to try that spell you’ve found," Twilight said turning another shade of red. Luna stared at Twilight a bit taken back. Twilight is always shy and nervous about their sexual encounters. It was something Luna would have to bring up or engage first.

"I’ll make sure you scream my name, love," Luna whispered giving her lover a grin. Twilight turned even redder and gave a simple nod.

"The princesses are fillyfooler…." The noble from Celestia’s court said to himself with a grin. He quietly moved away from his hiding spot, and softly laugh to himself. He ran his hoof across his navy blue mane. "My, my, and a curse…. This must explain why Celestia cancelled today’s court. I’m sure the press will love to hear this….."

Twilight slowly opened her eyes, her face pressed against a navy-blue fur, she felt two hooves pressed against her back with a head nuzzling against hers. A smile appeared on the purple mare’s face glancing at the dream realm’s night sky. A soft mixture of purples, light blues, and small white orbs floating around them. A soft chuckle left her mouth as she felt her lover nibble the tip of her ears before a light blush appeared on her cheeks.

"Times up, Luna" Twilight said looking up at her lunar princess. The blush on mare’s cheeks turned another shade of red, she leans over and gave her lover a quick peck on the lips, "You’re going have to let go."

"Already?" Luna asked and sighed deeply, she closed her eyes and slowly removed her hooves from around the lavender mare. The princess of the night sat up and back away from Twilight, ensuring she was at a safe distance.

"Unfortunately," Twilight said sighing as well, missing the warm embrace she had gotten so used to, "We’ve been searching for this curse for two days already.... and still nothing. Tirek said it was lost to time, and he was the only one who knew about it"

"Just leave this to me, love," Luna said walking closer to beloved marefriend. She stopped in front of Twilight and kissed her on the lips before parting from her once more. Twilight simply turned another shade of red, as Luna returned to a safe distance, "I’ll make him talk."

"Luna…. Just be careful, alright?" Twilight said seeing Luna’s horn lit up in a white glow, "Tirek tricked me…. He could do the same for you."

"I'll be careful, love, promise," Luna said and smiled at her with her ears pinned back, "Don’t worry about me. Once I talk to Tirek, we’ll be able to hold each other once more in the waking world. And I’ll never let you go from my hooves ever again."

I can still make her blush like a school filly, Luna smiled at her and could fell her heart beating ever so slightly at the sight of her beauty. She laughs softly seeing Twilight become all flustered and trying to hide her obvious red face.

"I should go, love…. I can't make Tia wait any longer or I might get an earful again," she said. She took one last look at Twilight before returning her to the waking world. Luna opened her eyes and looked around her room, she glances over at the window and saw the sun rays in the horizon. Guess its time to lower the moon…. I should probably get some rest, but I want to get to Tirek as soon as possible. I need to think of a plan though.

"Good morning, princess," a servant said bowing his head slightly. He brought over a tray with Red rose tea, a plate with eggs and toast with a side of jam, and today’s newspaper, "Princess Celestia is waiting for you at the balcony."

"Thank you, Golden," Luna said and taking the tea in her magic’s blue aura. She took a sip of her tea and brought over the newspaper, her eyes reading over the headlines.

"Do you need anything else, prin-!" the servant let out a yelp when he suddenly received hot tea all over his face. He shouted from the burning pain and ran out of the room before hitting face first into a wall. He groans as he fell to the ground.

"Wha…. No…." Luna, wide eye, read over the headlines repeatedly, "Princess Luna and Princess Twilight are fillyfoolers?! Disgusted by this…. Princess Twilight has placed a curse over her heart?!" Luna opened her mouth slightly with her right eye twitching.

Celestia yawned softly and placed her teacup down on a small side table. She walked over to the balcony and glance at the Twilight sky, "Luna… late again," she said with a sigh. She picked up her tea with her magic’s grip once more and brought over to her lips, "It seems Luna needs another talk."

"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Celestia yelp and drop her teacup to ground, taken back at the sudden scream of her sister. She quickly ran out of her room and saw, two guardspony and a few servants running away from her sister's wing. She raised a brow seeing the servants were covered in tea or food; not to mention the poor guard ponies sporting new black eyes.

"What the…. What in Equestria is going on!" Celestia shouted trying to figure out what could enrage her sister this badly. She quickly teleported to her sister’s room, when she reappeared a teapot was suddenly flung towards her. She let out a gasp and quickly dodge it from striking her head. Celestia looks back and looks down at the broken teapot before turning back to her sister.

"Luna! What's going on!" the elder sister shouted, seeing her sister throwing things around her room. I haven’t seen Luna act like this in decades…. What could be going on…., Celestia stop when her eyes noticed the half-torn newspaper, the headlines in big bold letters was the only answer she needed. "Oh, no…. how could…. Who would…. How…." Celestia said unable to form a proper phrase.

"THEY DARE OF ACCUSING TWILIGHT OF THIS CURSE! CALMING SHE’S DOING THIS TO GET AWAY FROM ME!" Luna shouted with her royal Canterlot voice, smashing her hooves against the floor and ignoring the cracks forming on the walls. "WE SHALL NOW ALLOW THIS ANY LONGER! WE ARE GOING TO FIND THE PONY RESPONSIBLE!" Luna yelled quickly turning to a table and blasted it away with a powerful magic ray.

"Luna," Celestia said standing in front of her, "Calm down before you destroy the castle,"

"NO! WE SHALL NOW ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE ANY LONGER! ONCE WE FIND THIS PONY! WE SHALL ELIMINATE IT THEM!" Luna shouted with Celestia’s mane flowing back from the royal Canterlot voice.

"Sister," Celestia said placing her hoof on Luna’s shoulder, "We’ll get to the bottom of this, I swear. We’ll see the editor in chief and find out who leaked this information to the press. Once we know the culprit, we’ll hold court tomorrow and comfort them."

"We won't allow a soft punishment, sister! This pony must be severely punished!" Luna said and stomp a hoof against the floor, "And I’ll personally oversee their punishment!"

"Let’s head to Canterlot Express," Celestia said

"Dear, have you seen he newspaper?" Nightlight asked walking around the kitchen, "I want to see if my ad was placed."

"It should be outside!" Twilight Velvet yelled from the living room.

"Oh," Nightlight went outside and picked up the newspaper with his magic. He brought it closer and read the latest headlines, "Uh…. Wh…. My daughter is in what…… TWILIGHT!" the stallion yelled, rushing back inside of the house.

Twilight sat on her throne with her friends around her. She looked down at the many newspapers from across Equestria, all of them sharing the same story. Her relationship with Princess Luna was out for the world to read and are claiming she cursed her own heart because she was disgusted to be around Luna. How could ponies say such things?

"How did… ponies find out about Luna and me?" Twilight said lowering Ponyville free press before taking another paper from the Crystal Empire, "This one says… Luna forced herself onto me? None of this is true!"

"You don’t even want to read the one from Cloudsdale," Rainbow said throwing the paper into the trash.

"Who would do such a thing?" Rarity asked moving the paper she had to the side, "I mean…. I love gossip but this? This is way too much even for me."

"I didn’t know ponies could be this cruel," Fluttershy said pushing a paper away from her, "They’re being so mean towards you and Luna."

"But how did they find out? The only ponies who knows about us is you guys and the princesses." Twilight said but faceplate against the table.

"Well, we sure didn’t tell anypony, Twi," Applejack said with everyone nodding.

"Of course, she knows this," Starlight said as she placed a comforting hoof on Twilight’s shoulder, "Either way, somepony discovered the truth and sold it to the press."

"What pony could have so much hate against two princesses of Equestria?" Spike asked

A court was quickly held, all the nobles were summons with the two regal princesses present. Eyes glaring at the noble ponies, knowing which one leaked the information about Luna’s relationship with Twilight. At Celestia instance, Luna reluctantly agreed to allow the guilty culprit to admit it his crime.

"Princess Luna, well this is a surprise," Moneybags said sitting down at his seat along with the other nobles. "Why are we grace with your presence this morning?" He asks.

He did all of this! Just because he doesn’t approve of fillyfoolers?! And all he got in return for the leak was a few bites? I'm going to kill him, Luna didn’t reply and simply glared at him. Sensing the rising tension in the room and knowing her sister wouldn’t be able to hold back her anger any longer, she broke the silence.

"I’m sure you’re all aware of this morning newspapers," Celestia said placing a wing around Luna, trying to calm her down.

"The claims that Princess Luna and Princess Twilight are fillyfoolers? Who are in a relationship and this curse?" Blueblood asked looking at his fellow nobles, "I do hope you punished those reporters, auntie. They should be imprisoned for spreading such false rumours about royalty."

"I’m sure those rumours are false," Moneybags said looking back at Luna, "Right Princess Luna? The idea of two mares being together in a romantic way.... quite scandalous. I mean.... if I was in Princess Twilight’s position, being courted by another mare! I would curse my heart to ensure this.... mare wouldn’t go near me ever again."

Oh.... this isn’t going to end well... Celestia slowly removed her wing from Luna’s side, and back away slightly.

"But those rumours are certainly false," Moneybags said and looked back at the two princesses.

"You sure do know a lot about this, Moneybags," Blueblood said looking at him with a suspicious look.

"I agree... what aren’t you telling us?" Another noble asked.

"Me? I’m just going off from what the newspaper's claims," Moneybags said in his defence.

"Moneybags, we’ve spoken with the editor in chief of the Canterlot express. And he told us who gave him, the information about my sister and former student." Celestia said stepping down from her throne with Luna in tow. "He told us it was you, Moneybags, who gave this information. What do you have to say for yourself?" The solar princess demanded, eyes glaring down at this stallion.

"I should have paid him to stay quiet," Moneybags simply replied.

"So! You admit of spying on us, leaking sensitive information at an inappropriate time, and claim false accusations?" Luna asked as she slowly walks towards him.

"Maybe I did, maybe I didn’t," he said and smirk, "Fillyfooler."

Luna growled and suddenly slam Moneybags against the wall, shocking everypony around them from the sudden outburst. Her eyes turn bright white, glowing in fury, "My, my, not very princess, Luna," Moneybags said and grunted.

"DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH FILLYFOOLERS?" Luna yelled using the royal Canterlot voice as she held the noble up with her forehoof, "BECAUSE I HAVE NO PROBLEMS OF ENDING YOUR MISERABLE LIFE!"

"You. can’t. do. this. to. me! We. are. nobles. we. control. the courts!" Moneybags managed to say with his throat being pressed against.

"MY SISTER AND I HAVE RULED FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS! AND WE SHALL RULE FOR ANOTHER THOUSANDS MORE AFTER YOUR WORTHLESS LIFE ENDS! DO NOT BELIEVE YOU CAN CONTROL US!" Luna yelled and crushing pushing against his throat. "I CAN END YOUR LIFE WITH A SINGLE SPELL! DO NOT TRY TO CONTROL OUR LIVES! IF YOU EVER INTERFERE WITH MY RELATIONSHIP WITH TWILIGHT AGAIN! I MAKE SURE YOU REGRET IT!"

"Luna!" Celestia shouted pulling her sister back with her magic, "I’ll make sure he's punishing! Please calm down,"

"NO! SISTER! NO PUNISHMENT IS ENOUGH FOR THIS FILTH!" Luna yelled slamming her hoof against the floor once more, with cracks once more appearing on the wall.

"Just watch me, sister," Celestia said. She walked over to Moneybags, who was currently coughing and holding his throat.

"Disgraceful! This won't be ignored!" he shouted rubbing his neck, "You shall pay for this!"

"Raven," Celestia called out as she stepped in front of him.

"Majesty?" she asked

"I, Princess Celestia! Declare that the unicorn stallion, Moneybags. Will accord his entire wealth towards the Equestrian charity!" Celestia said glaring at him.

"What?! You can’t do this!" Moneybags shouted before being interrupted.

"Furthermore! His title of nobility will be strip from him along with his family’s assets! Moneybags! For threatening a royal princess of Equestria, leaking secretive information, and admitting your role in corruption! You shall be brought in front of a judge for your crimes against the crown!"

Luna simply smiled as she watched her sister acting as a ruler. She had heard and seen many times, how the nobles ruled the court with an iron hoof. Believing they were more powerful than an eternal alicorn ruler! They were finally being set into their place.

"And let this be a lesson for all of you nobles! I establish this court to have your opinions on upcoming laws, not to establish laws to your own greed! And before you, nobles say a thing about my actions! We are the rulers of Equestria! We have protected this land long before either one of you was born! We know what is best for Equestria! And we’ll have no issue to remove the problem! Do I make myself clear!" Celestia yelled with a slight hint of the royal Canterlot voice.

The nobles all started to shake and frantically shook their heads in agreement. They quickly bowed down in front of the two princesses, "Yes, your majesty!" they cried out.

"Guards! Take Moneybags to our cells!" Luna said turning towards him, "And ensure he follows my sister’s ruling!"

"Yes, your highness!" the guards said saluting. They grab Moneybags and drag him away with his shock expression over what had just occurred.

"Court dismiss!" Celestia said unfurling her wings. The court quickly emptied out, leaving only the two sisters alone. "I’m so sorry this happened, Luna." Celestia said sighing deeply, "I allowed the nobles to use me for so long…. Allowed them to place laws that weren’t for the wellbeing of Equestria. Could you ever forgive me?" she asked.

"It's not your fault, sister," Luna said quickly taking Celestia’s into her hooves, hugging her tightly as she buried her muzzle into her face, "Thank you…."

Dear love,

Please do not worry about the newspapers. Tia and I have discovered the pony responsible for telling the press about us. We’ve dealt with him in an appropriate manner, well… if I had it my way… this pony wouldn’t be alive now. But the damaged is done, we must come out to all Equestria about our relationship; ponies will have questions, they won’t be happy about the secrecy, and might see us in a different way. It won’t be an easy time with the curse still affecting your heart and keeping us apart. But well get through all of this together, and I can’t wait to hold you in my hooves once more in the waking world. Please be strong, love, if you ever need my help just let me know.

The lunar princess placed the letter against her desk and read it over, "Love you for eternity…." Luna whispered with a gentle smile. A soft sigh left her lips, she used her magic to roll the letter up and closed it with her seal.

"Lulu," Luna looked away from gazing at her crescent moon seal. She looked over at the door with her sister entering her room, "A letter for Twilight?" Celestia asked as she sat down in front of her younger sister.

"Just letting her know about Moneybags," Luna replied with her eyes glancing back at the scroll, "Told her what will happen…. And to be strong."

"Knowing Twilight, she will, you don’t have to worry about her," Celestia said remembering the fond memories of her faithful student, "She’s a strong young mare."

Luna smiled as she lazily played with the scroll, moving it around and twirling it with her magic. What her sister is saying is all true, she probably didn’t need to remind Twilight to be strong for what was to come. But she wanted to ensure Twilight it was okay to ask for help. There were a few times, the purple mare hesitated to ask help from the regal princesses. All because she was worried, she would interrupt one of their royal duties, or interfere with their busy schedules. Luna had told Twilight numerous times, she would always make time for her if she ever needed her. But Twilight being Twilight, always thought about other ponies well being before her own.

Luna look at her sister as she handed her the letter, "Tia, could you send this letter for me?" Luna asked.

"Aren't you going to send it?" Celestia asked with the magic glow changing from blue to golden.

"I’m going to see Tirek… and finally get to hold Twilight again," She said sitting up from her cushion, "I'm getting really fed up with this two-minute window! Two minutes just to hold my marefriend?"

"Luna, let me come with you to confront Tirek," Celestia said sitting up as well, "I don’t want you to face this monster alone."

"Sister, trust me, I can handle Tirek. I’m just going to talk to him, that’s all" Luna reassured.

"Luna, please, please be careful alright?" Celestia said in a concerning, sisterly tone of voice, "If you need my help! Just send a distress single and I’ll be there as soon as I can!"

"Don’t worry about me, Celestia," Luna said embracing her elder sister in a tight embrace, "I can handle this. Besides, you're needed here in Canterlot."

"Luna, I’m not saying this to annoy you. I know you can handle yourself in a battle, but Tirek was able to trick Twilight. And you know how powerful her magic abilities are. Tirek could trick you or even worst…. Twilight and I care for you dearly. Just be cautious when you encounter him, alright?" the elder sister said as she tightens her grip around her younger sister.

"Tia," Luna whispered nuzzling against her sister’s chest.

Luna…. is love making you reckless…just like it has done with Twilight? Celestia lowered her head and placed it beside Luna’s. She knew Twilight wouldn’t have confronted Tirek as she had. The Twilight she knew would have thought of a plan with her friends and be much more cautious around him.

"I’ll be back, sister," Luna said with her horn lighting up. She smiled at her sister before teleporting to Tartarus.

"Alright, Luna...." the solar princess replied even though Luna was long gone.

"Twilight!" Spike shouted running around the castle with a letter in claw, "Twilight! You got a letter from Princess Luna!"

"I’m over here, Spike" Twilight cried out from behind her book. Spike walked into the castle’s library and wasn’t surprised to see her nose deep in a book.

"Any luck on finding the spell Tirek used?" He asked placing the letter top of a book.

A deep sigh left Twilight mouth as she placed the book the down, she turned towards her number one assistant. "None... I even look through the Canterlot archives and not a single mention of this curse"

"So, Tirek is the only one who knows about this curse," the baby dragon said sitting down next to her. Twilight sighed some more and nodded her head; her eyes soon noticed the letter resting on top of a book.

"Oh! Right, you came here to bring me a letter" Twilight said as she unrolled the letter. She brought it closer towards her and started to read it.

Spike grabs a random book and flips through the pages, "I never knew such a spell existed. How old do you think it is?" Spike asked

"Luna...." Twilight sighed and placed the letter down. She knew Luna had the intention to see Tirek from the very beginning, but now that the day has arrived. Knowing Luna is about to see Tirek all by herself at this very moment. She was about to put herself in the same situation she had, which lead to her cursed heart and this entire problem they were in.

What if Tirek manages to curse Luna’s heart? If he does.... then we’ll won’t be able to hold each other ever again. Two hearts being cursed? No! I can’t allow this to happen.... but should I even risk it? Going to Tartarus to stop Luna? Wait... but the curse might take effect... Ugh! What should I do! Twilight groan loudly and threw some books in frustration to the ground.

"Twilight, want to talk about it?" Spike asked easily recognizing Twilight was lost in thought. He smiled and placed a comforting claw on her hoof.

"Luna is about to head to Tartarus to confront Tirek," Twilight said as she brought over the letter. Spike picked up and letter and read through it, "And I’m so worried-"

"That she’s about to commit the same mistake you did?" Spike said cutting Twilight off.

How did...., Twilight stare at Spike with a surprised expression. How in Celestia name! Did Spike know the exact words she was about to say?

"Uh... how did you know?" She asked.

"Come on Twilight. We’ve known each other for years, and I’m your number, one assistant after all," Spike said seeing a smile form on Twilight’s muzzle. Twilight oh and gave herself a light tap on the forehead with her hoof. Of course, Spike would know when she’s in distress or lost in thought because something was worrying her. How could she forget something like this?

Twilight opened a wing and pulled the baby dragon into a hug, "Yeah I’m worried... I don’t know if I should go to Tartarus to help her"

"And what’s stopping you?" He asked placing a claw against Twilight's chest.

"The curse... I'm worried if I get to close.... and if a fight happens with Tirek" Twilight explain looking away.

"Twilight, deep down in your heart, you know what’s right and what I believe you should do it. You’re worried about what might happen to Luna, and you want to help her. Its written all over your face. Don’t let a simple curse stop you." Spike said backing away from Twilight’s embrace.

"A dark curse isn’t a simple issue, Spike" Twilight said with an unamused expression.

"Don’t you have some spell that would help?" Spike asked walking over to the scattered books, "You know? Something to shield your heart or block the signal? Or whatever?"

Twilight brought her hoof and rub it underneath her chin. She took a moment to think over what Spike said. She went through every spell she knows, every spell she learned, and every spell she read about. Wait.... why didn’t she think about it sooner! There was such a spell that could help! It was temporary and demanded a lot of magic, but it wouldn’t last long, and she would have to make it quick, but it could work.

"Spike!" Twilight took Spike in her magic grip and pulled the baby dragon into a hug. Spike yelp as he dropped the books onto the floor once more. He laughs as he felt Twilight tighten her grip around him, "You’re a genius! Thank you!"

"hehe, no problem, Twilight," he said and wrap his arms around Twilight’s neck. Twilight flap her wings and flew in a circle with the two laughing.

Tirek stared through the bars of his cell, bored out of his mind as he finished counting the steps of the stairs which led to his cell for the ten billionth time. He groans loudly and hit his head against the bars with his horns making a cling against the bars.

"This is so boring" he mumbles with his claw tapping against the bars, "I wonder if the princess of friendship is still alive?"

"Very much alive, Tirek," a female voice said. Tirek uh and notice something at the corner of his eye. He turned his head with a sinister smile appearing on his face. He was hoping it would be Princess Twilight but, Princess Luna would do for now. He waved three fingers at the glaring princess as the portal closed behind her.

"My my... Princess Luna! I’m sure getting a lot of visitors lately." Tirek said and with a soft chuckle, "I feel so flattered.... being visited by Princess Twilight and then Princess Luna! Feel quite flattered indeed"

"Quit the small talk, Tirek!" Luna said walking towards his prison, stopping short from his reach, “How do you remove the curse?"

"What curse? I seem to have forgotten…. You know how the mind is when you get old," Tirek said in a mocking tone.

Luna glared at him before taking a deep breath, stay calm Luna… don’t let your emotions take over… just stay calm. She closed her eyes and took a moment to think before turning to Tirek. "The one you placed on Twilight’s heart." She said.

"Oh! Twilight! She visited me not too long ago," Tirek said and placed his hand on top of his heart, "I felt so…. How do you say it…? Honoured! How is she anyway? I heard you two are…. courting? Do ponies still use that word?"

"Just answer the question, monster," the lunar princess said, trying to keep her calm exposure.

"Oh! Luna, Luna, Luna, you hurt me so! We’re you always this aggressive when we first met?" he asked with a pout on his face, "Or were you just being a good little dog for your sister?"

"Just answer me! How do you remove the curse!" Luna said with her voice becoming more agitated and short-tempered.

"Luna, why would I answer you? Do you honestly think you’re reformed?" Tirek said with a big smile on his face. Just another push…. And her magic is mine! I’ll finally be able to get out of this prison.
"Nice try, Tirek! But you’re not going to trick me," Luna said stepping closer to his cage, "Now! Tell me how to cure Twilight’s heart!"

"Or what? You’ll let Nightmare Moon out to play?" he asked laughing some more, "I’ve heard about your transformation into Nightmare Moon! And I must say… it's quite impressive. The eternal night…. very impressive indeed. Such a shame she isn't here."

"Nightmare Moon is in my past! I’m not her anymore! Don’t try to get inside of my head, you fool!" Luna shouted. The lunar princess stood in front of the cage in a fighting stance. She couldn’t allow Tirek’s words trick her. She needed to compose herself and quickly, "You’ve lost the moment Twilight and her friends defeated you!"

"Twilight…. I shouldn’t have placed a curse! I should have killed her when I had the chance! Knowing that princess is out there still alive…. Not having the satisfaction that she's dead…. My own personal punishment, I suppose. Say, princess… would you turn into Nightmare Moon if Twilight was dead by your hooves? Because I rather talk to her instead of you!"

"SHUT UP!" Luna shouted and fired a powerful magical ray directly at Tirek’s head. A grin simply appeared on his face, he opened his mouth and absorbing the magic from Luna’s attack. He laughs with his dark red skin turning bright, his ribcage disappeared as he took on more muscles, and his horn growing half of its full size.

"My, my, the second form? Alicorn magic is quite fantastic, don’t you think, Luna? I had to absorb a lot of Unicron magic just to get to this form. If I knew getting alicorn magic would be this easy! I would have done it sooner." Tirek said before he broke through his cell.

"Oh, no…." Luna back away from Tirek as he took the moment to laugh at his small victory, "What have I done…."

"Luna!" Twilight cried out with the gates of Tartarus closing behind her. She gasps seeing Tirek out of his cage and much larger from when she last saw him. "Tirek? But… how?" she asked.

"Love…. why are you here?" Luna asked quickly looking back at Twilight before turning back to Tirek, "Get out of here now!"

"I came to help…. What happened?" Twilight asked with her horn lighting up in her magic glow, "How did Tirek get this big?!"

Luna looks down with her ears pinned down, she glances back at Twilight and a single tear falling from her cheek, "I messed up… Twilight…. And Equestria is about to pay the price…."

The Moon’s Special Star

Twilight stood in front of the gates of Tartarus with her eyes fixed on Tirek; his freedom was currently being block by a single purple alicorn. Her eyes fixed on him, his much smaller status was a difference from when she first faces him, but he was still dangerous either way. The air became tense as Tirek scanned the ponies before him… these two ponies blocking his freedom. A grin appeared on his face, moving the prison to the side as he slowly descended the steps.

"I must thank you, Princess Luna," Tirek said, his hands held together with a fake sympathetic look at the lunar princess. "Thank you so much for giving me power! And soon my freedom!"

Not a single world left Luna’s mouth. She solemnly stares at the ground, not even attempting to look into this monster’s cold eyes. Her heart sank within her chest as the realization struck her. Tirek was free and has power, who is dead set on taking over Equestria…. All because of her.

"Don’t even think about it, Tirek!" two ears flinch every so slightly at the sound of her lover’s voice. The lunar princess lifted her head up, turning back to Twilight. There she was, standing firmly in front of the gates, horn lit up in her magical glow with her wings spread out.

"Must we repeat our little fight?" Tirek asked placing two claws underneath his chin, "Things didn’t end well last time we fought."

"Yeah! You lost remember?! Now get ready to lose again!" Twilight shouted with her horn preparing a spell, "Luna!"

Luna blinks a few times and shook her head. She look over at Tirek as he walked towards them with a grin on his face. The lunar princess quickly took flight and back away, "Twilight! What about your heart? The curse is still in effect!"

"Don’t worry! I placed a special spell to block the curse, but it won't last long!" Twilight said before dodging one of Tirek’s attacks.

"Than we have to quickly end this fight!" Luna said narrowing her eyes at the approaching centaur, "We’re going to need help!"

Celestia sighed deeply in boredom as she stared at the massive pile of paperwork. She hated this part the job, but it was necessary to govern Equestria. Paperwork were such a long, tedious, mind-numbing task to be done. Especially today’s paperwork, it was twice as big as it should be. Because of the curse and the press leak about Luna’s relationship with Twilight. Her younger sister kept pushing her royal duties to the side in order to deal with these problems. Celestia loves her sister dearly and she understands why Luna was acting this way, but she wasn’t pleased on doing both solar and lunar court’s paperwork.

"Luna…. You’re going to pay for this…." Celestia mumbles with her eye twitching slightly. The solar princess stared at the massive pile beside her, as she pressed down on her quill with the tip breaking under the pressure. Celestia sighed and stared at her broken quill when she felt her horn suddenly flashing a red distress call, "Oh no…. Luna…"

Celestia immediately appeared in a golden flash, her eyes quickly scanning Tartarus in search for her sister. "Luna!" Celestia cried out walking around, "Luna!"

"Celestia!" Luna leaped out from behind a stalactite and pushed her sister behind a medium size boulder. Celestia gasp when a magical ball struck the ground where she once stood.

"Luna! What’s going on?" Celestia asked as the two princesses crouch down

"It’s a long story…. we don’t have time to talk. Twilight is out there distracting Tirek," Luna said poking her head out from behind the boulder, "We have to help her."

"Twilight?! Why is she here? What about the curse?" Celestia asked quickly checking her surroundings

"She has a spell over her heart! It's going to hold back the curse effects…. But we must hurry! The spell won't last for long," Luna said as her horn started to glow.

"Its been a while since I last fought!" Celestia said with a smirk with her wings unfurling.

"You mean when you got your flank kicked by Chrysalis?" Luna said mocking her elder sister.

Celestia’s jaw drop at Luna’s very bad timing for a joke, "LUNA! Now’s not the time for your terrible jokes!"

Luna laugh at her sister as she blush in embrassement. Ever since Luna learned about the battle he elder sister lost. She couldn’t help herself on teasing her about it.

“Tirek!” Luna and Celestia Stop their sisterly feud and look back at the battle.

Twilight flew over to Luna, as she quickly did a barrel roll to avoid another one of Tirek’s attacks. She flew next to Luna, feeling her heart aching ever so slightly, The Spell… it's starting to wear off. Twilight shook her head; this wasn’t the time or moment to worry about the curse. She took a deep breath when she noticed a white alicorn in the corner of her eye. “Celestia!" Twilight shouted looking back to see her old mentor, "Oh! So, this is the help Luna was talking about."

"Twilight! I’m sure you’ll explain why you’re here later," Celestia said as she took flight with her sister. Twilight nodded her head as all three princesses glared at Tirek.

"Princess Celestia? My, my, almost having all four alicorns princesses, paying me a visit?" Tirek mock as he began to laugh at this ‘threat’, he was currently facing.

"You better not underestimate us!" Celestia shouted giving a small nod to her sister and former student. "We have to work together!" Celestia said as she glared at Tirek, "Twilight, fly up and pull Tirek’s arms back to ensure he exposes his chest. Luna and I will fire our attack and hopefully stop him."

Luna and Twilight nodded in unison before taking flight. Twilight flew around Tirek in order to distract him, ensuring Luna and Celestia would be in the right position to fire their attack.

"Hey! Tirek!" Twilight shouted as she shot a few light attacks at him, "Disappointed I’m not dead?"

"Oh! Princess, you can rest assure after today…. You will be dead." Tirek growled with magic forming in between his horns. He shouted and fired it at her; Twilight quickly placed a shield around her, blocking the attack. She flew around him and fired at his back, quickly moving to his side and then his stomach. "Annoying pest!" he shouted as he swung his hand around; the same way you would do with a bug flying around you.

"Enjoy this while you can, Tirek!" Twilight said quickly flying behind Tirek. Twilight gritted her teeth together as she felt the spell slowly wearing off. the pain in her heart slowly returning as the curse grew stronger as a result of being so close to Luna. She closed her eyes in pain and moan slightly. Her horn lit up and pulled Tirek’s arms back, exposing his chest as Luna blasted a powerful ray at his chest. Celestia quickly fired a powerful ray at the Centaur’s chest as well.

"I can’t…. No.... Just a little bit more…" Twilight mutter as she closed her eyes in pain.

Luna fired one more powerful blast, "TIREK!" Luna shouted. Tirek shouted in horrible pain, he looks down and saw his body quickly returning to his frail first form. The Centaur struck the ground as he felt another magical blast strike him again.

"Luna! Enough! Stop!" Celestia shouted. The two sisters stop their assault and waited for the smoke to disperse; Tirek’s badly wounded body lay on the floor of Tartarus, a small groan left his mouth as he winced in pain.

"We did it!" Celestia cheered turning back to her sister, "Luna! We did it!". Celestia raised a brow and saw Luna stare in horror, she turns her head back, following the same direction her sister was staring at.

I…. I can’t-!, Twilight shouted as the pain grew more than she could bear. She clenched her chest with her hoof, her horn losing its magical glow, her wings losing all its strength to keep her in the air. The purple mare turns her head back slightly and looks at her lover, her moon princess Luna; a single tear fell from her cheek as she started to plummet towards an open carter from between the floor of Tartarus.

"TWILIGHT!" Luna cried out. She quickly caught Twilight in her magic grip, surrounding her marefriend in a magical orb. She flew down and gently placed Twilight on the ground, ensuring she was at safe distance from the still intact curse. “Twilight.... the spell... no, no, don’t leave me” Luna said with tears forming.

“Luna....” Celestia places her hoof on Luna’S shoulder when they heard Tirek groaning in pain.

Tirek… Luna slowly turned to the badly injured Centaur, she drags him towards her hoof and held him down. "Remove the curse! NOW!" the lunar princess yelled into his face.

What is this…. Feeling, Tirek stared into lunar princess’s eyes and was left speechless when he saw her pupils turn into slits. His eyes glance down and saw a shadowy wave wrap itself around his midsection. A soft grunt escape his mouth as his teeth gritted together, he moved uncomfortably as the shadowy wave tightened itself around him, slowly crushing him to death.

"REMOVE THE CURSE!" Luna roared as a hint of Nightmare Moon could be heard, "OR I’LL END YOUR MISERABLE LIFE!"

“Luna!” Celestia said before receiving the coldest of glares. The elder sister took a step back as her sister return to Tirek. Celestia felt a chill run through her spin. The last time her sister gave such a glare was when she was Nightmare Moon. Nightmare Moon…. no…. Luna wouldn’t fall back into darkness…. Would she? Celestia glance at her sister and felt her heart beating rapidly inside of her chest. Was her worst fear about to come true? Nightmare Moon returning to seek out her revenge, knowing there was no way of stopping her without Twilight?

"You assumed me Princess.... Alright, I’ll remove the curse." Tirek said and turned away from Luna’s death glare. The Centaur felt the strange shadow release its grip around him, and slowly return to Luna’s body. The lunar princess’s eyes returned to normal before she drags him towards Twilight with her magic.

"If you try anything this time! You’ll be taking your last breath!" Luna growled with her eyes fixed on Tirek.

Did Nightmare Moon just make an appearance? Tirek gave a quick glance back at the lunar princess. A small grin grew on his face, he always wanted to meet, the infamous Nightmare Moon. Guess he will have to meet her at another time. Tirek opened his claw and hover it above Twilight’s chest.

"What are you doing, Tirek?" Celestia asked slowly approaching him.

"Removing the magic, solarbutt," Tirek replied and gave her a quick glare, "Or do I have to explain everything?"

Solarbutt? Ugh…. Discord! The solar princess frown and turn her head away with a pout. She hated that nickname, Solarbutt! Discord unceremoniously gave those nicknames to the regal sister when they first encounter him. And apparently, he told Tirek about those names! Such an uncreative insult in her opinion.

Tirek placed his hand against Twilight’s chest and slowly pulled out the cruse from her heart. He formed the curse into a ball before crushing it, "There. Its done," Tirek said looking back at the lunar princess.

"Enjoy your imprisonment, Tirek," Luna said before she threw Tirek to his cell, closing its door and placing confinement spell around the cell. She smirks and placed anti-magic chains around the centaur's body, "Don’t you ever come near us again."

Tirek just growled as he held the bars with his claws, "Stupid princesses…." he grumbles and looked away.

Celestia sighed in relief with everything finally being over. She surrounded her sister, Twilight, and herself in her magic as they teleported out of Tartarus. In a golden flash, the three princesses stood in the throne room of Canterlot castle.

Is the curse finally…. over…?, Luna took a deep breath and slowly walked towards Twilight, as she lay on against the floor. Luna pinned ears back with a small smile on her muzzle, seeing Twilight’s body not reacting from her oncoming presence, "Twilight….?"

"Uhm…" Twilight slowly sat up and rubbed her head with her hoof. She blinked a few times as her vision started to clear up, "Wha…? Is… the fight over?"

"Twilight?" two purple ears flick in response to her name. She looks back her eyes lock onto Luna, as she stood right in front of her. The two stared at each other for what seemed to be an eternity, both anxiously waiting for the curse to rear up its head again. "It’s the curse…. Finally?" Luna whispered as tears started to form in her cyan eyes.

"Nothing…. I don’t feel a thing," Twilight said quickly touching her chest with her hooves, "Luna! The curse is fin-"

Twilight was suddenly cut off when Luna quickly embraced her in her hooves. The lunar princess shed a few tears as she tightens her grip around the purple mare. Luna had missed this so much. The softness of Twilight’s fur rubbing against her hooves, her lavender scent filling her nostrils, and the caring hooves of her lover embracing her in return. Holding Twilight in the waking world just wasn’t the same as the dream realm.

"Love! I missed you so much!" Luna said through her tears with her wings wrapping themselves around her lover, "You have no idea…. How much I missed this!"

"Lu-Luna-a-air!" Twilight managed to say through the bone-crushing hug.

"Oh…. Sorry, love," Luna said as she loosens her grip.

"I have no idea what you felt? I’m pretty sure I have a good idea, Lu-" Twilight’s eyes widen as she was cut off by a pair of lips, smashing against hers in a long overdue kiss. The kiss was needy, catching up on the lack of affection the two mares felt throughout the duration of the curse.

"Oh…. Uh… should I return?" The two mares broke the kiss and turned to the solar princess, who was currently a light shade of red. Luna laughs at her sister’s reaction with her hooves still around Twilight. She did swear to never let Twilight go after this.

"I can go…. it seems you two…. uh… have some catching up to do?" Celestia said with her blush turning another shade of red. Celestia tried to hide her blush by turning her head from them. She was blushing not because of the kiss, uh, well because of the kiss but also knowing what her sister was planning to do tonight with her marefriend.

"Sorry, Tia," Luna said rubbing the back of her neck with her hoof

"If you want me to go…. I can…. And Uh…. Tell everypony not to enter your wing…." Celestia said with her face turning another shade of red.

"Sister? Are you implying there will be intercourse tonight?" Luna tease as she attempted to keep a serious tone and expression.

Dear Celestia, Twilight thought with her face turning as red as Celestia’s. "Uh… Luna…." Twilight said when she felt Luna’s hoof covering her mouth.

"Sister! Are you asking for more information about what we do at night?" Luna said with an evil grin.

"What?! No! I mean! Its been awhile…. And, uh!" Celestia stammer with her mind trying to find the best response. Oh… Luna pinned me in a corner…. What should I say? I’m not implying intercourse! I just thought since it's been awhile…. Oh, dear me…. What should I say?

Celestia gulp as she quickly ran out of the room. Luna burst into laughter and look at Twilight, who smiled before laughing as well.

"Oh dear! I haven’t seen Tia like that in years!" Luna said as she held her side, "Priceless! I'm going to bug her with that for years to come!"

"Prankster Luna," Twilight said and nuzzled against her, "I’m so relieved this is all over,"

"Me too love," Luna said as she gently placed her hoof against Twilight’s cheek, "But Tia is right…."

"How so?" Twilight asked tilting her head slightly.

"Tonight…. You’re all mine…. Every inch of your body," Luna softly whispered into her lover’s ear, "Its all mine…"

"But what about Celestia? She has questions for us," Twilight said looking away from her.

"Tia can wait until the morning…. Right now, its just you and me," Luna purred as she gave a quick nibble on Twilight’s ear.

Luna slowly opened her eyes with a smile appearing at the sight of her lover. She sighed softly and adjusted the blanket around them. Luna ran her hoof through her messy mane as she reminisces over last night. They tried that little spell which was specially made for fillyfoolers needs by the well-known unicorn fillyfooler, Scarlet Rose. She was also a well-known activist for ponies right, and was the only who placed the request for same sex marriages. Luna had to admit. This mare was extraordinary, but she mostly enjoyed the spell she created. She would have never thought up such a spell and was quite thrilled to learn it.

She looks so beautiful like this, the lunar princess thought as she leaned over to kiss Twilight on the lips. An annoyed moan left Twilight’s mouth as she pulled the blanket over her head.

"Its time to wake up, love," Luna whispered softly into Twilight’s ear, "Tia will have another fit if I’m late again."

Another annoyed moan was Luna’s reply. Twilight didn’t mind mornings but after the ‘workout’ she had last night. All she wanted to do was to sleep all day and have Luna by her side. She wraps her hooves around Luna’s neck and pulled her into a hug.

"Love, we have to get up," Luna whispered as she licks along the length of Twilight’s ear, "Or I'll make you…."

A shiver ran down through her spine as she felt Luna’s hot tongue along her ear. She opened an eye and looked into Luna’s cyan eyes. "You’ll make me?" Twilight asked as she stretched her hooves.

"You shouldn’t tempt me, love," Luna said nuzzling Twilight’s cheek, "Unless you want to go for another round…. And I won't hold back once I activate that spell."

Twilight’s ears flinch slightly as she attentively listens to Luna’s words. She was still kind of sore from last night. Luna wasn’t really…. Gentle. After these past months of hardly touching each other, let alone sex! The Lunar Princess was eager to catch up. She wouldn’t admit but Luna was a needy pony when it comes to affection.

"Fine…." Twilight groan removing the blanket from over her head.

"What's wrong, love? You weren’t satisfied last night?" Luna whispered seductively as she nibble the tip of Twilight’s ear. "You hurt me… and I thought you missed having my hooves around you…. Me inside of you?"

"You weren’t very gentle last night, Luna," Twilight replied as she pushed the lunar princess back with her hoof. The navy mare looked down at her lover’s hoof before looking back up at her, "I really enjoyed last night but right now…." Twilight said with her hooves rubbing her inner thighs, "I'm very sore."

Luna blushed lightly with her eyes fixed on Twilight’s thighs, biting down on her lip as she watches her marefriendrub her hooves through her thighs. "You’re playing with fire…. Love…." Luna mutter as she tried to resist her urges.

"What? I’m not doing anything!" Twilight said and got out of bed, she frowns giving a small pout. She walked away from the bed when she felt a pair of navy-blue hooves wrap themselves around her and pulling her back into bed. "Hey! Luna! What about Celestia and lowering the moon?" Twilight asked before being silenced with a kiss.

Another round? What am I going to do with her, Twilight kissed back and opened her eyes. She looked up at Luna’s horn as it glowed its magical aura. Twilight broke away from the kiss and look outside from the window, watching as the sun and moon switches places in the twilight sky.

"There! Moon lowered! Tia can wait for breakfast," Luna said before proceeding in another kiss, "I’ll make sure to be gentle this time."

"Hm…. I’ve heard that before…." Twilight mutter with an unamused expression.

Celestia frown and impatiently tap the tip of her hoof against the table. She bore an annoyed expression as she stared at the two empty seats, meant for her sister and former student with a stack of pancakes getting cold. The sun princess sighed in annoyance and started to eat her own stack of pancakes.

"What’s taking them so long…." She mutters cutting into the stack and stabbing her fork through the pancake. She sighed even more and place the fork in her mouth when she heard the doors opened. She looks over and saw her sister walk in looking overjoyed than usual, and her former student right behind her, looking more exhausted than usual.

"Good morning everypony…." Celestia asked with a brow raised.

"Morning, sister!" Luna cheered sitting down on her chair, "Isn't this such a lovely day?"

"Uh…. Yes… indeed…." The elder sister replied glancing over at Twilight, who was attempting to sit down in an obvious sign discomfort. "Uh…. Are you alright, Twilight?"

"Just…. sore, Celestia but I’ll be fine" Twilight replied placing the best fake smile she could muster. "I’m sure LUNA! Wouldn’t mind getting me a more comfortable cushion!" Twilight said before shooting her lover a death glare.

"Of course, I wouldn’t mind, dearest," Luna replied with a smirk, Oh! She looks so adorable with that angry pout! Luna gave Twilight a quick wink before bringing over a new pillow with her magic.

Just what exactly did Luna do last night? Wait…. I don’t even want to KNOW! But Twilight looks like she ran a marathon, Celestia thought with her eyes darting from side to side, eyeing both her sister and former student. Luna had an ear to ear smile as she munches down on her pancakes while Twilight was struggling to find a comfortable position in her seat. "Sister," Celestia said turning to the younger alicorn, "Now that we are here…. How about we talk about what happened in Tartarus?"

"Where would you like us to begin, Tia?" Luna asked bringing her cup of tea to her lips.

"Twilight, why were you in Tartarus, to begin with?" Celestia asked turning to the purple mare.

"I was worried about Luna," Twilight said with a deep sigh, "She was about to face Tirek as I had…. I was worried about what he might do to her. So, after some convincing from Spike and a spell for my heart. I immediately headed to Tartarus."

"Turns out Twilight was right. Once she arrived, I might have…. Accidentally…. Released Tirek" Luna said muttering the last part ever so quietly.

"I beg your pardon, sister?" Celestia asked leaning forward in her seat.

"It was an accident okay?! I might have fired a powerful magical ray…. And might have been absorbed by him.... And that might have help in his escape?" Luna said muttering the unimportant part of her sentence. Celestia frown at her younger sister, she wasn’t too pleased to hear her own sister had freed Tirek in a way. "Well! It wasn’t intentional, sister!" Luna said turning away from her.

"Hm…. Well, I’m glad we got things cleared up and stopped Tirek before he could do any serious damage." Celestia said sighing some more in defeat. "Twilight, you should probably inform your parents and brother on what has occurred."

"Oh…. your right, Celestia," Twilight said quickly thinking about her family, who she hadn’t even mentioned about the curse or her relationship with Luna. And who probably learned everything through the newspapers. "Oh dear…. They must be worried sick! I mean…. Cadence is the only one aware of Luna and me, but she wasn’t aware of the curse. And my parents and shining probably learned everything through the papers! I have to write them!" Twilight shouted before running out of the dining hall.

The two-sister laugh hearing the doors slam shut. Luna looked around the room and waved the servants and guardsponies our of the room, leaving the two sisters all alone. Celestia turned to her sister and questioned Luna’s actions.

"Tia…. I need your advice on something important," Luna said pushing her plate aside, "It's about Twilight…."

"Has something happened?" Celestia asked pushing her plate aside as well.

"No, no, nothing like that. It's actually about this…." Luna’s horn lit up with a small navy box appear in a flash of magic. She opened the lid and slide the box closer to her sister, "I want to ask Twilight to marry me…."

"Luna that’s wonderful news!" Celestia cheered quickly standing up and hugging her sister, "I’m so happy for you both. But don’t you think it’s a bit soon?"

"That’s what I’m worried about, Tia," Luna replied pulling away from the hug, "I’m worried she’ll say no because of it."

"I see…." Celestia sat down next to her sister and took a moment to think it over, "Do you love her?"

"What? Tia! What kind of question is that! Of course, I love her!" Luna said frowning slightly at her.

"And you want to spend your life with her?" the solar princess simply asked, ignoring her sister’s death glares.

"Tia! Stop asking those type of questions! You already know the answer," Luna annoyingly replied

"It’s a bit soon, I have to admit, but I believe you should ask her." Celestia said nuzzling her sister’s cheek, "And Cadence would agree with me. You two love each other greatly and are meant to be together. This curse only proved my point. Not many ponies would have been able to go through something like this and still be together."

"That’s true, Tia," the younger sister said, smiling big at her sister, "There were a few times I had doubted our relationship would survive…. But it somehow did! And now that its all over, I can’t imagine my life without Twilight in it."

"Than you should ask her," Celestia said pulling Luna in a hug, "Set up a special date and ask her."

Luna hug back and nuzzled against Celestia’s chest, "I’ll do it tonight,"

Luna stared blankly as she walked down the hall of the castle. She felt a little bit better after speaking with her sister and had more confidence on the idea of asking Twilight’s hoof in marriage. She still had a few doubts about it but after thinking it through. She was ready, no she wanted this! She wanted Twilight to be her wife. I’m going to do this! There’s no turning back now, Luna smiled and noticed her marefriend up ahead of her. "Love," Luna smiled and walk up from behind

"Good afternoon, Luna," Twilight said giving her marefriend a quick kiss on the lips,

"Afternoon, love," Luna replied and kissed her back, "Did you send the letter to your parents and brother?"

"Yes, I asked them to come here, so I can explain what happened," Twilight said

"That’s wonderful, love," the lunar princess said giving her love a gentle smile. Here goes noting, Luna looked around and noticed the hallway was completely empty, "Love… how about we go on a date tonight? Just you and me, the night sky and staring at the stars?"

"That sounds wonderful, Luna. I’ll be there," Twilight said with a smile. Luna smiled in return and noticed a guardpony walking towards them. He gave the two princesses a salute of his hoof before turning to Twilight.

"Princess Twilight, your friends from Ponyville have arrived," a guardpony said

"Oh dear…. I totally forgot to tell them we cure the curse…." Twilight said and nervously laugh. She hated to admit it, but it completely slips her mind after handling Luna’s urges. "I should go but see you tonight?" Twilight said.

"See you tonight, love," Luna said with a wave of her hoof.

Luna had just set the moon and stars, and especially Twilight’s star for tonight’s date. She wanted everything to be perfect. She had already placed the perfect cloud in the same position as their first date. She had a saddle on with a few food items in case they got hungry and of course the ring. Luna took the small box out with her magic and opened the lid, she smiles softly staring down at it.

"Nervous, Lulu?" Celestia whispered into her sister’s ear. Luna let out a loud yelp jumping into the air and accidentally dropping the ring to the ground.

"Celestia! You scared the stars out of me!" Luna said holding her chest with hoof and shooting a glare.

"Well? Are you nervous?" Celestia asked while she picked the ring back up and placed it back inside of Luna’s saddle.

"No…. maybe a little…." Luna mumbles avoiding her sister’s gaze. She looked up at her sister, knowing there was no point on hiding the truth from her. They had spent thousands of years together and were well knowable in each other facial expressions. "Yeah…. I’m nervous she’ll say no…"

"You shouldn’t be too nervous, sister," The elder sister said placing a large white wing around her.

"I know, Tia…. I’m just really hoping she’ll say yes…." Luna said leaning against her sister.

"I’m sure she will," Celestia whispered nuzzling her cheek

"I’m so sorry!" the two regal sisters looked up to see Twilight frantically flying towards them. She quickly landed on the grass and stumbling slightly from the abrupt landing. She ran over to her lover and former mentor, "I was caught up with my friends! Explaining what had happened in Tartarus! I lost track of time! I’m so sorry for being late!"

"Calm down, Twilight," Celestia said laughing softly seeing Twilight so frantic, "You’re just on time."

"Oh, thank Celestia!" Twilight sighed in relief as she placed her hoof on her chest.

"Your welcome," the solar princess tease with a light blush appearing on Twilight’s cheeks, "Enjoying your evening."

Twilight smiled and wave goodbye as Celestia left the garden. She turned to Luna and gave her a quick peck on the lips, "Ready?"

"Ready, love," Luna said opening her wings, "I’ve recreated our first date…. I hope you don’t mind?"

"Not at all," Twilight replied before taking flight. Twilight followed her lover as they flew higher into the night sky with a large cloud in sight. Twilight glanced over at Luna and noticed how quiet she was, her marefriend is usually talkative; complaining about her royal duties, Blueblood being Blueblood, or just talked about the smallest of things. "Luna?" Twilight said.

Luna didn’t reply to her name being called, she was too lost in thought. She didn’t notice Twilight flying passed her and stopping in front of her flight path. Luna suddenly struck Twilight and shook her head which brought her back to reality, "I’m sorry love."

What’s going on with her tonight? Twilight flew closer to kiss her marefriend on the lips, "Are you alright, Luna?" she asked.

"Yes… of course, I am." Luna said returning the kiss, "We’re almost at the cloud. Shall we?"

The two princesses flew for a few extra minutes before landing on its surface. Twilight nuzzled up underneath Luna’s wing and looked up at her star. She smiled and look at Luna, only to see her lost in thought once more.

"Luna, is there something the matter? You’ve been quiet most of the evening," Twilight asked as she gently placed her hoof on top of her marefriend’s.

"Uh…. Yes! I mean no…." the moon princess gulp and stared into Twilight’s violet eyes, "Love, we have to talk."

Twilight’s eyes widen slightly. She had read many books and heard many stories, she knew the ‘we have to talk’ conversations never ended well. Is Luna breaking up with me? Oh dear Celestia! Why? Did I do something wrong? Is she upset I was mad at her this morning?!

Luna, seeing the panic in Twilight’s eyes quickly spoke up, "Oh! No! Love its not what your thinking! I’m not breaking up with you."

"Oh! Thank Celestia!" Twilight said sighing in relief, "I thought you were angry at me for this morning!"

"Of course not, love," Luna reassured and kissed Twilight’s cheek, "I just have to ask you…. A very important question…."

"Ask me what?" the purple mare replied.

"I…. I know it hasn’t been long since we’ve dated but…," Luna said as she nervously rubbing her hooves together. Come on Luna…. You’ve faced villains like Tirek and Discord! If you can face those villains than you can ask your marefriend this question!

"Luna, you’re worrying me," Twilight asked with concern tone, “Please tell me what’s on your mind?"

The lunar princess took a deep breath, she closed her eyes and mustered up the courage to pull out a navy-blue box from inside of her saddle. Luna turned to Twilight, her love of her life, the joy to her once lonely world, and hopefully her future wife. "I know…. deep down in my heart that you’re the one. There’s no doubt our love is strong, love. After Tirek’s curse was placed on you… it kept us apart. It was testing the strength of our love and we prove how strong it is. Now that this curse is finally over. I never want to spend a single minute without you in my life. I love you so much Twilight Sparkle…. And I want to spend eternity with you. I know this is soon to ask such a question in our relationship.... and we don’t have to rush into anything too quickly. But I love you so much, Twilight Sparkle.... that’s why I’m asking you this…. Will you marry me?" Luna asked opening the box to reveal a silver ring with a simple crescent moon, intertwined around a pink star. It was the simplest ring Luna could get. She knew Twilight wasn’t big in fashion and jewellery like her friend, Rarity.

Twilight was utterly speechless, she didn’t even take a breath of air as she stared down at the ring. Luna nervously bit down on her bottom lip, Did I pressure her into an uncomfortable pos-!

Luna train of thought was suddenly cut off when a pair of lips clashed with hers. Twilight wrap her hooves around Luna’s neck and brought her deeper into the kiss. "YES! YES! YES!" Twilight shouted kissing her fiancé repeatedly.

"Love!" Luna laughs as she was attacked with kisses. She kissed Twilight back a few times before pulling away, "Are you going to let me put the ring on your horn, now?"

Twilight shed a few tears of happiness as she watches Luna take the ring out of its box with her magic and place it on her horn. "I can't believe this is happening,"

"I was so nervous you would refuse," Luna said wrapping her hooves around her fiancé.

Twilight smiled and shook her head slightly, "I wouldn’t have refused, Luna. I want to spend eternity with you as well." Twilight said and kissed her on the lips once more, "I love you, my moon princess"
