After the events of Cyber Duel Saga, Burst and Inferno are sent to Equestria while trying to help Twilight re-open the portal.
Burst and Inferno wake up from the resulting magic overload to find themselves in Princess Twilight's world. While they tackle getting accustomed to Equestria, a group of duelists have been taking over dueling areas back in the human world! And without Burst and Inferno, Sunset and the others must face them on their own!
"Nnnh....", Burst groaned as he started to wake up. 'Where am I? The last thing I remember was Inferno and I trying to help Twilight unblock the portal. Then there was that overload in power and then...I blacked out. Burst tried to scratch his head in thought, but stopped when he noticed he had no hands! Twilight entered the room.
"Burst...don't panic. When You tried to help me unblock the portal, it sent you and Inferno here to Equestria. And as result...well...it's better if you look in a mirror." Burst was in shock! When he looked at his reflection, he saw a pony staring right back at him! From the looks of things, his new body had a white coat with a blue tint and a white mane. Also noticeable was the horn on his head and the pair of dragon wings on him. "Apparently, you've been turned into an alicorn. The same goes for Inferno." Burst took a deep breath.
"So how did he take it?"
"Pretty well actually. He went outside to test his wings."
"Twilight....where are we?"
"In my castle. Come on! I'll introduce you to everyone!" Inferno had just landed through the window.
"Hey guys! What'd I miss?"
"Twilight was about to show us around. Intersted?"
"If the mares here are as pretty as the girls back home, why not?", Inferno said with a playful smirk.
"Care to run that by us again Sunset?", Applejack asked. "You mean to tell us that Burst and Inferno are now in Equestria and that we'll have to wait a whole day for the portal to be fixed up?"
"That's basically it. Good thing that surge of power didn't damage the portal. It just destabilized it. Princess Twilight wrote to me about that."
"In that case, who wants to hit the duel park?", Rainbow suggested.
"Rainbow. After being trapped in a video game where we had to duel our way out, the first thing you suggest is that we go dueling?"
"Sorry!"
"No, it's fine. I was just making sure we were on the same page.", Sunset said. "Come on! Let's go!" They all went to the dueling park, but found that it was closed off! And they also noticed that Flash was pounding on the gates!
"No fair! What gives you jerks the right to claim this park?", Flash demanded.
"What's up Flash?", Sunset asked.
"Some group of duelists calling themselves the Pure Deck Society just did a hostile take over of the duel park!"
"That's awful!", Rarity said.
"Also, why do they have that lame name?", Rainbow asked.
"They have that name because they use decks based only on one attribute, one monster type, or a specific card archetype. And their leaders are Rex Raptor and Weevil Underwood. Apparently they've set themselves up as these impressive duelists. But that's weird because they've constantly been beaten by Yugi Moto."
"So those two jokers are still trying to set themselves up as good duelists?", Chrysalis asked.
"Hey bug queen!", Rainbow said jokingly. "Didn't expect you to show up! So how do you know about these guys?"
"Weevil tried to date me when I made my pro-dueling debut. The guy was a creep! Oh! I almost forgot to mention this. Him and Rex are the only members."
"Seriously? Then how did they manage to take over a whole dueling park?", Rarity asked.
"It's just a piece of paper they posted. It holds no power.", Chrysalis said. "They just call themselves a 'society' to cover the fact no one wants to join their club."
"Wow.", Sunset said. "That's pretty sad."
"Yeah. Their 'base' is at an old arcade. And you shouldn't have any trouble beating them. They're pretty much the equivalent of joke characters in a fighting game. See ya around!" And with that, Chrysalis left.
"Well, this is going to be one short story!", Pinkie Pie said.
"I'm guessing you'd want to meet with the counterparts of Rainbow Dash and the others?", Twilight asked.
"Yeah. Might as well start with the most familiar territory. After that, we should probably meet with the Celestia and Luna of this world.", Burst said.
"So our schools principals are princesses in this world? AND they move the sun and moon? How do they not have headaches?", Inferno asked jokingly. Twilight couldn't help but laugh.
"You can ask them when we meet them. But first, I'd like to introduce you to Starlight and Spike."Come on out you two!" Spike was the first to come out and was followed by Starlight. The first thing he noticed were the dragon wings Burst and Inferno had.
"Wow! I don't know alicorns could have dragon wings! Or even be guys!", Spike said in wonder. Burst chuckled.
"Well, I guess we're the first of our kind then! Our wings are dragonic because of our bonds that we share with our dragon friends."
"That's so cool! Can I meet them sometime?"
"Why wait?", Burst said. Burst then reached for his cards and pulled out Blue Eyes. "Come on out Blue Eyes White Dragon!" In a flash of light, Blue Eyes White Dragon appeared before them!
"So, this is Princess Twilight's home. Nice!", Blue Eyes said as he looked around and stopped when he noticed Spike. "Hey there little guy! You live here?"
"Cool! You must have had a huge hoard to be this big!", Spike said in awe.
"Actually, I grew naturally. Sure hoarding can help accelerate the process, but the quality of strength pales in comparison. Just wait buddy! I can sense you'll grow quite strong." Starlight was the next to ask a question for Burst and Inferno.
"So you guys say you got your dragon traits from your bonds with your dragons? Could you try to test out how they might have changed in this world?"
"Only one way to find out!", Burst said as he concentrated! Soon, he fired a powerful blast of energy from his newfound horn! Inferno followed suit. "Looks like we can still shoot energy blasts. Now to test out our wings!" Burst jumped out the window, and flew right into the air! After a good portion of showing off, he landed back in the castle. "Wings work. I guess we can move on to meeting everyone."
"Excellent! First on the list is Applejack. I was supposed to help her out today anyway.", Twilight said. The group left for Sweet Apple Acres where they noticed Applejack bucking away. "Hey AJ!"
"Hi Twilight! Who are your friends?"
"They're from the human world. This is Burst Stream and Inferno."
"Nice ta meet ya!"
"You too.", Burst said with a smile. Inferno gave a polite nod before he went to have a look around.
"So Twilight, how did these two get here?"
"They tried to help me open the portal back to here, but got sucked-in in the process. So is there anything you need help with?"
"Yeah! There's been a really stubborn tree. I've been bucking away at it and can't get even one apple loose! Not even Big Mac could shake one loose!"
"Allow me.", Burst said. Soon he charged straight at it and delivered a kick so hard it shook off every apple from the tree! Applejack was nearly speechless!
"How did you do that?"
"Dragon strength. Just one of the many perks of sharing a bond with my dragon friend.", Burst answered with a smile.
"Well ah'll be! I should have figured with the pair of dragon wings you got there. And I'm guessing your friend can do the same?"
"Pretty much. Any other stubborn trees you need either of us to kick?"
"No, that's about it. Thanks for helping me out! Hope you two make it back home! By the way, could I meet your dragons?" Burst and Inferno smiled as they summoned their respective dragons. "Whoa nelly! They sure look strong!"
"Thanks!", Blue Eyes and Red Eyes said in unison. "Hey Inferno!", Red Eyes asked.
"What's up?"
"Can I explore the forest? I'd say the town, but they'd probably sick the army on me."
"Sure bud. Have fun!" And with that Red Eyes left to explore the forest.
"I'll go with him.", Blue Eyes said. "Someone's got to keep track of him. He's known for pulling serious pranks."
"So Twilight. Who's next on the list?", Burst asked.
"Rarity's next. Then Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy. So the next stop is Carousel Boutique." The group walked over to where Rarity lived and worked to find her drawing away in her sketchbook. "Hi Rarity!"
"Twilight, darling! So good to see..." Rarity paused when she noticed Burst walk in. "My..who're you handsome?"
"Burst Stream. And this is my friend Inferno.", Burst said."'Sup gorgeous.", Inferno said with a smile. "Uh..you alright Rarity?" Burst asked noticing her nearly swooning in front of them.
"Twilight, where did you find these two hunks? And alicorns no less?"
"They're from the human world."
"Are they single?!"
"As far as I know they are."
"In that case, would either of you be interested in a date later on today?"
"Sorry Rarity. But I don't know how well an inter-dimensional relationship would work.", Burst said politely. "I hope you're not to broken up about this."
"It's understandable darling. And I'm quite thankful you put it gently."
"Well I'm no prince charming but I am a handsome dragon!", Burst said with a smile.
"So Twilight, where do you figure Rainbow Dash is?", Inferno asked.
"Knowing her, she's probably at Sugar Cube Corner with Pinkie right about now."
"Sweet! Especially since I've got a serious sweets craving!" So they decided to head towards Sugar Cube Corner in the hopes of sating Inferno's sweet tooth.
"Hey Twilight!" Rainbow Dash greeted! "Who are these two new guys?"
"This is Burst Stream and Inferno. They got sucked in here from the human world when we tried to unblock the portal."
"Nice to meet ya! Sweet wings by the way! Never seen an alicorn with dragon wings before! Let alone male alicorns."
"You're just like the Rainbow Dash back home.", Inferno said. "Hm. Wonder where Pinkie Pie's at?"
"Somebody mention me?", Pinkie chirped as she appeared right behind Inferno. He nearly jumped three feet in the air! "Hi!"
"How long were you behind me?"
"Long enough to hear Twilight's explanation.", Pinkie said. "Oh! And this is for you!" Pinkie then whipped out the biggest cupcake Inferno had ever seen!
"So beautiful.....I'm gonna eat it inside out!", Inferno said as he dove head first into it!
"Hey Burst! You wanna race?", Rainbow asked. "Let's see how fast you are!"
"You're on! First one to the mountains wins!" And with that, they went outside and started the race!
"You're pretty fast! But that can't compete with my sonic rainboom!", Rainbow boasted as she pulled off her signature move!
"Oh really?", Burst said with a smirk as a blue aura began to envelope his body. "Lightspeed!" Burst became a streak of light that shot past Rainbow Dash in less than a second!
"That...was....awesome! I didn't know there was anything faster than my rainboom! You've GOTTA teach me that move!"
"Sorry. It's a move only I can pull off. You've got your signature move and I've got mine."
"Man, you're right. Hope you can get back home soon."
"Thanks. Now to see if Inferno's demolished that giant cupcake. By now he's probably bouncing off the walls from all that frosting!" But to their surprise, they found Inferno lying stomach-up on the floor.
"That was so wrong. But it felt soooo right."
"He polished off my best work in record time too!" Pinkie added cheerfully. "By the way, here's a soda for you!" Burst was about to ask how she knew what he wanted until he remembered a very important fact.
'It's Pinkie Pie. Don't question it.' "Thanks Pinkie! Just what I needed."
Meanwhile in the Forest...
Fluttershy was in the forest talking with the animals. That is, until she heard giant wing beats and saw a giant shadow fly over her. When she saw what had cast the shadow, she froze in terror! It was a dragon. A big black dragon with red eyes. She backed away slowly and hoped it didn't see her. Unfortunately, she snapped a twig when she was back-peddling. She clung to a tree as the dragon got closer to her. But to her surprise, it didn't try to eat her or roar at her. It just stared at her with a curious look in its eyes. And then it spoke.
"Hi there! What're you looking at me like that for? You look like you've seen a monster!", Red Eyes joked.
"I...I d-do...", Fluttershy said while trembling. Red Eyes frowned.
"Come on! My breath isn't that bad is it? Maybe I should lay off the lava rocks." And then it hit Red Eyes that she was scared of him. "Oh. You don't like dragons much do you?"
"No. It's just....I'm absolutely terrified of dragons! And the only friendly dragon I know is Spike, but he's a baby."
"Red Eyes!" Blue Eyes called out. "There you are! You could have scared someone with how fast you were flying!" Blue Eyes then took notice of Fluttershy cowering in place. "And I should have taken my own advice. I think we've bothered this mare enough. Let's go."
"Wait!", Fluttershy cried out. "I'm sorry. It's just that most dragons aren't exactly friendly towards ponies. My name is Fluttershy. What are your names?"
"Red Eyes Black Dragon."
"Blue Eyes White Dragon. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you two also!", Fluttershy said with a small smile. "I'm sorry for how I reacted."
"It's alright. From what I've heard about the dragons around here, I don't blame you.", Red Eyes said. It wasn't long before Twilight, Burst, and Inferno showed up. "Hey Inferno! Looks like I've made a new friend!" Fluttershy took note of the two male alicorns that were with Twilight and the fact they had dragon wings.
"Hello Twilight. Who are your friends? They look like pony versions of Blue Eyes and Red Eyes here."
"Again we get the comparison to our dragons.", Burst Stream said. "I'm Burst Stream and you've already met my friend Blue Eyes."
"Name's Inferno Flare! You and Red Eyes seem to be getting along well!"
"Oh! I didn't know you were friends with these dragons. Now that I think about it, they don't seem so scary after all. They actually seem kinda cute!"
"Just wait 'til you see my hatchling picture!" Red Eyes said as he handed her a picture of him as a baby dragon breathing out sparks of flame. Fluttershy nearly squeed!
"Aw! You were so adorable! Do you have a picture like this Blue Eyes?"
"I do. But it's pretty embarassing.", Blue Eyes said while blushing as he handed over the picture. In it, baby Blue Eyes was sucking his tail.
"That's so cute!" Twilight said as she looked at the pictures. "Here's your pictures back!" Both dragons took back their pictures and turned to their human-turned-pony friends.
"What happened here does not leave this spot.", Blue Eyes said sternly.
"Agreed.", Burst and Inferno said in unison. "So where to next Twilight?" Burst asked.
"The train station. Our next stop is to Canterlot to visit the princesses!"
"Wow. These guys have no sense of subtlety. They basically branded their base with the monster types that represent their decks.", Applejack said as she took note of the dinosaur and spider that hung above the old arcade sign.
"That just means they're easier to take down!", Rainbow Dash boasted! "Let's get in there and kick some butt!" And with that, Rainbow Dash kicked down the door! "Alright you duel dorks! I'm ready for you!"
'Well, well...looks like the flies have crawled into the spider's web!", Weevil said with a smirk.
"You're in the dinosaurs' stomping ground now! Normally we don't associate with low-level duelists who don't devote themselves to one monster type! But we'll make an exception! We'll take on the two best duelists you have!", Rex boasted.
"Cut the act! We all know you got your butts handed to you by Yugi Moto.", Sunset said.
"Sh-shut up and duel!", Rex and Weevil sputtered out in unison!
"I guess you and me are up against them Flash!", Sunset said.
"Right! Let's duel!"
Flash Sentry: 8000 Weevil: 8000
"Since we're on my turf, I'll make the first move! I summon Flying Kamakiri 2 in attack mode! Next I'll equip him with Laser Cannon Armor to boost him by 300 points! Your move!"
"Alright bug boy! I play polymerization to fuse Sparkman with Beast King of the Swamp to fusion summon Elemental Hero Shining Flare Wingman! Next I equip him with Magnum Shield to add his defense points to his attack! Also, he gains 300 attack for each Elemental Hero in my graveyard! And when he destroys a monster by battle, he inflicts their attack points as damage! Fry his mantis! Shining Sky-dive Scorcher!" Shining Flare Wingman wrapped himself in flame and charged at Flying Kamakiri 2! Wiping it out with a single punch!
Flash Sentry: 8000 Weevil: 3100
"You may have destroyed one of my beloved bugs, but I have more buzzing in my deck! I summon Petite Moth in defense mode and equip him with Cocoon of Evolution! Next I play Swords of Revealing Light to keep you from attacking! Try to get at me now!"
Flash cracked a smile. "I play Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your Swords of Revealing Light! Then I'll equip Shining Flare Wingman with Assault Armor to boost him by 300 points! Now I'll send it to the graveyard so he can attack twice!"
"No! I lose!", Weevil screamed as his life points dropped to zero!
Flash Sentry: 8000 Weevil: lose
Sunset: 8000 Rex: 8000
"Since I'm such a nice guy, ladies first!", Rex said with a cocky grin.
"Big mistake. I play Hand Destruction! Each of us discards two cards and draws two new ones. Now I'll banish the two monsters I just sent to the graveyard to special summon BLS! Then I'll play Double summon to bring out Vylon Prism and Celtic Guardian! Now I'll tune them to synchro summon Stardust Dragon! Then I'll lay a card face down and end my turn! Your move dinosaur brain."
"Alright then! I play the Wasteland field spell! Then I summon a dinosaur in defense mode!"
"I'll attack your defense mode monster with BLS! And since I destroyed it by battle, he gets to attack again! Blade Beam!"
"Hm. No wonder these guys went extinct.", BLS said as he fired a blast of energy from his sword.
"Now Stardust! Attack him directly with Cosmic Flame!"
"Time to send dinosaur boy back to Jurassic Park!", Stardust said as he let loose a stream of cosmic flame straight at Rex!
Sunset: 8000 Rex: 2500
"Grrrr! Lucky move! But this turn I'll flatten you! I summon Armored Lizard! Then I'll play Ultra Evolution Pill to sacrifice him to special summon Super Conductor Tyranno! Now I play Scapegoat to activate his effect! I can tribute one monster and inflict 1000 points of damage! Fortunately for you he can't attack after he activates this effect!"
"You really are like a dinosaur."
"Strong and menacing?"
"Nope. Stupid and the last of his kind. Did you forget about BLS's other effect? I can banish one monster you control. And that leaves your field wide open!"
"Oh no!", Rex cried as Tyranno vanished from the field!
"Face it Rex! You're extinct! End it Stardust!" Stardust nodded and fired a jet of flame that wiped out the last of Rex's life points!
Sunset: 7000, win Rex: lose
"Huh. Chrysalis wasn't kidding when she said they'd be this easy to beat. But why can't I shake the feeling this is only a prelude to something stronger?", Sunset thought out loud to herself.
Burst was nervous. 'I've fought against evil monsters and crazy duelists bent on world domination. And now I'm freaking out when I'm about to meet the counterparts of my school's principal and vice principal? Then again, they are royalty here. Might as well just try to make a good first impression.' Inferno on the other hand had a different mindset on the matter.
'Wonder if the Celestia and Luna of this world like duel monsters? I've always wanted to duel against them!' Soon the train came to a stop and Burst, Inferno, and Twilight got off in Canterlot. Inferno noticed that a lot of the ponies here seemed a bit "up-tight". "Wow. You grew up in a pretty high-end place Twilight. Hard to believe you're so down to earth when you look at this place." As the group walked towards the castle, Burst couldn't help but notice that ponies were bowing to him and Inferno as well as Twilight.
"Uh, Twilight? Why are all these ponies bowing to us? I know you're a princess, but Inferno and I aren't royalty." Twilight nearly face-hoofed.
"I....might have forgot to mention that the royalty here are alicorns. That's why they seem to be giving you the royal treatment. Also, there's never been male alicorns before."
"You think the princesses will freak out when they see us?", Inferno asked.
"Princesses Celestia and Luna are some of the most composed ponies I know. They should take it pretty well." Soon they arrived at the castle. After the guards greeted Twilight and informed her that the princesses were waiting for them, they were let in and made their way to the throne room. "You two wait until I introduce you." Twilight said as she entered the throne room.
"Nice to see you again Twilight!", Celestia greeted.
"I trust you had a pleasant journey here?", Luna asked.
"Yes it wa..", Twilight cut herself off when she noticed Burst and Inferno had walked in. WITHOUT her instruction. "What are you two doing?! I thought you were going to wait for my signal to come in?!"
"We got bored. Hello princesses. I'm Burst Stream. I trust Twilight mentioned me and my friend in a letter you received. Princesses?"
"Burst? Do you think we broke them?", Inferno asked noting the blank looks on the princesses' faces. However, their minds were another story.
'Focus Celly!', Celestia thought to herself. 'Twilight should have warned me they were this good-looking! And those dragon wings only add to their charm! Okay! Don't think of them as boyfriend material!' "Pleased to meet both of you!", she said with a pleasant smile. Luna however, had an entirely different reply.
"I DEMAND YOU TO BE OUR COLTFRIENDS!", Luna shouted in the royal canterlot voice!
"Luna!", Celestia scolded. Luna blushed and hid her face with her wings.
"Heh heh! Sorry about that! But be honest Celestia! We were both thinking it."
"Well now that that's out of the way. Is there anything you wanted to know about us?", Burst asked.
"Yes. Twilight also mentioned you faced counterparts to Tirek and Sombra in your world. I'd like to know what became of them.", Celestia said.
"Sombra was destroyed because the evil in him was too great to purify. And Tirek was turned into a kid again because he wanted to be saved. He's living peacefully with his brother Scorpan now."
"It's fortunate to hear that your world's Tirek had a happier ending than ours. Forgive me if I don't wish to speak about it."
"I can respect that. Is there anything else you want to know?"
"Like our phone numbers?", Inferno said with a wink. "Inferno!", Burst snapped. "What? I was just joking!"
"There is. From what Twilight wrote to me, the two of you seem to be highly skilled duelists. I was wondering if you would do my sister and I the pleasure of one duel?"
"You have Duel Monsters here?!", Burst and Inferno blurted out.
"It's only one of my favorite games!", Luna nearly screamed. "It's an especially big hit with all the colts and fillies!"
"Alright then! I'm up against Celestia! Inferno, you'll duel Luna."
"Sweet! Time to duel!"
Burst: 8000 Celestia: 8000
"You're a guest here in Equestria, so I'll let you have the first move."
"Awfully considerate of you your highness. I play Trade-In to discard a level 8 monster and draw two new cards! Then I'll play Return of the Dragon Lords to revive the monster I discarded! Come on out Blue Eyes White Dragon! Next I'll play Card of Consonance! By discard one dragon type tuner monster with 1000 or less attack, I can draw two new cards! Now I'll play Dragon Shrine and send one normal dragon type monster from my deck to the graveyard and since I sent a normal one, I get to send another dragon from my deck to the graveyard! Now I play the spell card I drew! Harmony Absolute! I tribute the Blue Eyes White Dragon on my field to summon Blue Eyes Absolute Dragon! Now one of his effects activates! He gains 300 attack points for every monster in my graveyard! That brings him to 6200! I'll end my turn and hand things over to you."
"I hope you don't think this move is a cheap shot. Since you have a monster and I don't, I can special summon Solar Knight from my hand! Next, I discard one card to activate Lightning Vortex! This destroys all monsters on your field." Soon a storm of lightning bolts rained on Burst's field, but his dragon was still standing. "It appears that there's more to your dragon than meets the eye."
"He's called Blue Eyes Absolute for a reason. He's immune to all card effects. Attack Solar Knight!"
"Absolute Neutron Blast!", Blue Eyes roared as fired his signature attack!
Burst: 8000 Celestia: 4300
"Time to see what else Blue Eyes Absolute can do.", Celestia said with a smile. "I summon Mystical Elf in defense mode and end my turn."
"In that case, I'll be happy to show off! When he destroys a defense mode monster, he inflicts piercing damage equal to their point difference." Celestia slightly winced as she took the damage that resulted from Blue Eyes Absolute's ability.
Burst: 8000 Celestia: 100
"I play Dian Keto the Cure Master to increase my life points. Then I'll summon a monster in defense mode. Then I activate Meteor of Destruction to inflict 1000 points of damage at you directly!" As Celestia activated the card, a meteor materialized that struck Burst directly! But instead of decreasing his life points, it increased them instead! "Another one of Blue Eyes' abilities I assume?"
"You know it! Any effect damage done to me increases my life points instead! Now I'll use another on of his effects! I can target and destroy one card on the field! But the only downside is that I can't attack after I activate this effect. So it's your move again."
Burst: 9000 Celestia: 1100
"The letter Twilight wrote doesn't do your skills any justice. No one's been able to push me this far in a duel before!"
"I take it you're having fun?", Burst said with a smile.
"The time of my life. Now I play Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen! This lets me special summon a fairy type monster from my hand! And I special summon Splendid Venus! Next I'll attack Blue Eyes Absolute Dragon! And since it's the battle phase, I can discard Honest from my hand for Venus to gain your monster's attack points until the end of this turn! Divine Light Blast!" Venus readied her staff, and fired a blast of light that momentarily blinded Burst and Blue Eyes! But when the light faded, Blue Eyes was till on the field.
"And now you've seen the last of his abilities. He can't be destroyed by battle and I take no damage from attacks that target him. It's been a fun duel, but now I'm gonna win this! You know what to do Blue Eyes!" Blue Eyes nodded and fired one last neutron blast that fried Spelndid Venus!

"Show me what you got Luna!", Inferno boasted.
"Gladly!" Inferno: 8000 Luna: 8000
"I'll take the first move if you don't mind!", Luna said.
"Looks like I'm up against quite the gamer!", Inferno said with a smile.
"My skills here are unparalleled! Now then, I summon Lunar Knight in attack mode! Next I'll equip her with Crescent Blade to boost her by 500 points! I'll set a card and end my turn."

Taking a huge chunk out of his life points!

"Dang! That was a pretty sweet combo! But now it's time for me to push back! You know how Burst has that Harmony Absolute card? I've got one too now and I just drew it! I activate it and send one Red Eyes Black Dragon from my deck to the graveyard and summon Red Eyes Absolute Dragon! Then I'll summon Black Stone of Legend and tribute him to special summon Red Eyes Black Dragon from my deck! Now I'll give you the run-down on Red Eyes Absolute's effects! Once per turn, he can inflict his attack points as damage but he can't attack after he activates this effect. He gains 300 attack for each monster in my graveyard, he can't be targeted or destroyed by card effects, and I can halve his attack points and attack you directly! However, he can still be destroyed by battle. He might not be as strong as Blue Eyes, but he's still pretty strong! Now I'll use his damage effect! Burn Aura!"
"I'm on fire!", Red Eyes said as he wrapped himself in flames and fired a ball of fire at Luna directly!

"Quite the dragon you have! But it's too bad your regular Red Eyes is a sitting duck! Take him down Artemis!"
"Not so fast! I activate my trap card! Compulsory Evacuation Device! This returns one monster on the field to the hand! And I choose Artemis!"
"Darn it! I'm wide open!"
" Let's finish this! Red Eyes Absolute Dragon! Attack her directly with Absolute Inferno Blast!" Red Eyes nodded and fired a flame made up of every color of the rainbow at Luna directly!
Inferno: 5000, win Luna: lose
"Good duel Luna! You did manage to get at least one good hit in!", Inferno said with a smile. Luna gave a small smile in return.
"True. You're quite skilled yourself! No one but Celestia has been able to beat me."
"So is the coltfriend offer still on the table?", Inferno asked slyly. Luna blushed!
"Th-that?! It was just a joke!"
"Heh heh! Relax princess! I was just joking. Besides, I'm not sure how an inter-dimensional relationship would work. That, and I've kinda got my eye on someone back home. "
"It was fun dueling with you Burst.", Celestia said with a smile. "Any stallion who can't beat me is definitely worthy of being mine.", she said with a wink. Burst could barely contain the blush that was on his face.
"Uh...th-thanks!", Burst said with a small smile. 'And now I don't think that it's weird that I have a crush on my world's Celestia.
"Come on you two charmers!", Twilight said. "We're headed back to Ponyville before things escalate anymore!" And with that, Twilight teleported them back to her castle. "Well that should be it for today. Tomorrow afternoon, you should be able to head back home!"
"Awesome!", Burst said. "Just wait for us guys! We'll be back soon!"
Sunset and the others were heading back to the dueling park. But as they got closer, they noticed a duelist was crying. Sunset decided to see what had happened. "Hey, what's wrong?"
"Some guy dueled me and took my favorite card! I didn't even put it up as an ante and he took it!"
"Tell me what he looked like. I'll beat him and get your card back" As the duelist was describing who their opponent was, Sunset couldn't believe the description! They also gave a description of the monster that they used. The duelist looked almost exactly like Ace! She decided to pay Sonata a visit, and went to her house. "Sonata. Where is Ace?"
"He's been with me the whole day. What's going on?!"
"Hi Sunset. Is something wrong?" Sunset couldn't believe it! If it wasn't Ace, then who was it?
"There's been some guy running around taking duelists favorite cards, and he looks almost exactly like you." Hearing this, Ace froze. Dark Magician Girl was also troubled by this news as well.
"Ace....it isn't possible! It couldn't be him could it?"
"Couldn't be who?"
Ace sighed. "It looks like I have some explaining to do. The guy responsible for what happened is my brother."
"You have a brother? Why didn't you tell any of us?"
"Due to the fact he's an evil maniac who tried to steal the souls of duelists, I don't think he's the type of guy you would want to meet. I've had run-ins with him. And on the last one, he stole one of my cards and I haven't seen him since. It was also the time I beat him in a duel. His name is Dark Ice. And the card he stole was the one I used to beat him: The Eye of Timaeus. I used it to fusion summon Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight to destroy his ace monster Number 96: Dark Mist."
Sunset was in shock ! "That's horrible! You had to fight your own brother!"
"Yeah. And it looks like I'm going to have to face him again.", Ace said. "Him taking over the duel parks was bait to lure me out. He wants to settle the score. And I know just where he'll be. The place where this all began today." And with that, Ace grabbed his deck and went to face his brother. Sunset and the others made sure to follow him should he need help. If there was any way to describe Dark Ice, it would be an evil-looking version of Ace. And to top it all off, he had a cruel smile on his face.
"Hey bro. Did ya miss me?"
"If you mean the chance to get the card you stole from me back, yes. Why are you up to your old tricks again?"
"Because I want more power! And the power Dark Mist and I find especially tasty is the one created from the bonds between duelists and their favorite cards! Why do you think I go after the cards people love most?", Dark Ice said in a sadistic tone.
"I stopped you before and I'll stop you again!"
"You will try...and you will fall! Your soul is mine!"
Ace: 8000 Dark Ice: 8000
"Perfect!", Dark Ice said as he looked at his hand. "I summon Giant Germ in attack mode and end my turn. Stop me if you can Ace!"
"I will! I play Cost Down and Double Summon! This lets me normal summon Dark Magician Girl and Gagaga Girl! Dark Magician Girl, destroy Giant Germ! And Gagaga Girl attacks you directly! Apprentice Burning Attack!" DMG and Gagaga Girl charged up their magic and fired blasts of magic! One destroyed Giant Germ and the other struck Dark Ice directly! "I end my turn."
"Now that you've destroyed my Giant Germ by battle, you take 500 points of damage! Now I can special summon the two copies of it I have left from my deck!" As Dark Ice spoke, two more germs oozed their way onto the field.
Ace: 7500 Dark Ice: 6000
"Since it's my turn again, I overlay my germs to xyz summon Number 96: Dark Mist! But I'm not done yet! It's time for you to feel the cold touch of fear! I play Rank Up Magic-Barian's Force! I use Dark Mist as xyz material to summon Number C96: Dark Storm! Witness the power I have attained!" If Dark Mist looked scary, Dark Storm looked down right terrifying!
"Oh man! It got an upgrade from the last time I took it down!"
"Yes! And if you attack him, Dark Storm won't be destroyed but both of us will take damage. And that's if I'm feeling merciful! Too bad for you, I'm not! I detach one overlay unit and have Dark Storm attack Gagaga Girl! Now her attack is dropped to zero and Dark Storm gains her attack points because Dark Mist in an xyz material! Dark Storm Rage!" Dark Storm let out a terrifying howl as it fired a stream of pure darkness that destroyed Gagaga Girl!
"Ngghhh!", Ace grunted as he felt Dark Storm's blast go right through him!
"You're afraid. Goood!", Dark Ice said with a sadistic smile on his face.
Ace: 5500 Dark Ice: 6000
"The duel's not over yet! I put an equip spell on Dark Magician Girl and end my turn!"
"Hmph. No matter! I activate Dark Storm's effect again! Sap his magician of her strength and use it as your own Dark Storm! Destroy his precious magician!"
"Agghhhh!"
"Ace!", everyone screamed as they saw him stagger when the attack hit!
"I think I've punished you enough for now and I'll set a card face-down. Face it weakling! You'll never get your card back! And you'll never stop me! Ahahahahahahahah!"
Ace: 2500 Dark Ice: 6000
'He's right! Dark Storm is too strong! Even if I do get it to use up all of its overlay units, its other effect will still do me in! What can I do?!'
"Ace!", Sonata yelled. "Don't give up! You can't give in to him! Just because he says you're weak doesn't mean you are! I know you'll win!" Upon hearing Sonata's words, a surge of power flowed through Ace!
"Can you even stand up?", Dark Ice asked in a mocking tone. Ace rose slowly. And when he stood, his eyes were dragonic! Just like the eyes of Timaeus! "What....what happened to you?! You were on the verge of collapse after that attack! How are you standing with that stupid grin on your face?!" Ace smiled.
"Simple. I'm taking my card back!" Soon a glow came from Dark Ice's deck, and The Eye of Timaeus returned to Ace! "And now the equip spell I put on DMG activates! She's revived thanks to the Ribbon of Rebirth! Now I play the Eye of Timaeus to fusion summon Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight!" Soon DMG returned to the field riding on a large dragon! "Now I'll activate her effect! You remember it don't you? By discarding one card, I can destroy one face-up card on the field! Your Dark Storm has passed!"
"NO!", Ice cried as Dark Storm vanished from the field!
"Next I'll play Back-Up Rider to boost her by 1500 points! Attack him directly with Magician-Dragon Slash!"
"Gaagh!", Dark Ice screamed as he was struck directly with DMG-Dragon Knight's sword!
"Then I'll set a card face-down and end my turn!"
Ace: 2500 Dark Ice: 1900
"This...proves...nothing!", Dark Ice growled. "I play my trap card! Xyz Reborn to revive Dark Storm! Attack his Dragon Knight! If I go down, I'm taking you with me!"
"No you're not! I activate my trap! Mirror Force!"
"NO! Stop your attack!"
"Too late!" And with that, Dark Storm was destroyed with the force of its own attack! "Attack him directly!"
"No...No! NOOO!", Dark Ice screamed as his life points dropped to zero and collapsed on the ground!
"Just as I thought. You grew too dependent on this power, and it ultimately destroyed you. I'm sorry.", Ace said. Ace then took a look through Ice's extra deck box and found all the cards Dark Ice had stolen. "And I bet a lot of people will be happy to be getting these back."
"Wait! Now we've got three duelists who can activate dragon powers?! When do I get my turn?!", Rainbow Dash demanded.
"Maybe later on.", Ace said with a small smile as he went off and returned all the cards his brother had stolen.
Burst, Inferno, and Twilight were walking towards school. As to why, Burst and Inferno had no clue other than Twilight might have hoped to introduce them to Scootaloo, Sweetie Bell, and Applebloom. 'She's really trying to show the two of us all the familiar territory. She's as thorough as the Twilight back home!'. As they got closer, Burst noticed a group of colts were playing duel monsters. One of them, a blue colt that had a red mane with streaks of green seemed to recognize Burst.
"Excuse me! Are you Burst Stream?", the colt asked.
"Yes, I am. But how do you know my name?"
"My big sister told me about you when you beat her in a race yesterday! I'm Bolt Dash!"
"You must be related to Rainbow Dash. I'm guessing you're her younger brother? And you're a duelist too?"
"Yep! Do you play?"
Burst smiled. "I sure do! You up for a round?"
"Let's duel!"
Burst: 8000 Bolt Dash: 8000
"I'm up first!", Bolt Dash said. "I summon Speedroid Den-Den Daiko Duke! And since he's a wind monster, I can special summon Speedroid Taketomborg! Now I'll tune them to synchro summon Hi-Speedroid Kendama! Then I'll activate his effect! I banish one machine type monster from my graveyard to inflict 500 damage to you! That's all for my turn! Your move!"
"I'll reveal a Blue Eyes White Dragon in my hand to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative White Dragon! Next I'll play Trade-In to discard Blue Eyes White Dragon and draw two new cards! Now I play Return of the Dragon Lords to revive Blue Eyes from my graveyard and I'll overlay my monsters to xyz summon Galaxy Eyes Tachyon Dragon! Now I'll use his effect! By detaching one overlay unit, the effects of all face-up monsters on the field are negated! Attack Hi-Speedroid Kendama!"
"I activate my spell Ego-Boost to boost Kendama by 1000 points!"
"You did just what I wanted you to!"
'What?"
"Now Tachyon's other effect activates! Since your card effect resolved, Tachyon gains 1000 attack points! And he gets to attack again! Go, Tachyon Blast!"
"How's this for star power?", Tachyon said as he fired a stream of light energy that destroyed Kendama, and fired another one at Bolt Dash directly!
Burst: 7500 Bolt Dash: 3200
"I summon Speedroid Double Yoyo and activate his effect! I can special summon a level three or lower speedroid monster from my graveyard! I choose Den-Den Daiko Duke! Now I tune them to synchro summon Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! I end my turn."
"I draw! I discard one card to activate the Melody of Awakening Dragon to add two dragons to my hand! Next I'll reveal the Blue Eyes White Dragon in my hand to special summon Blue Eyes Alternative and activate his effect! I can tarpet and destroy one monster my opponent controls!"
"I don't think so! Clear Wing's effect activates! When a level five or higher monster's effect activates on the field, I can negate the activation and destroy it!" And with that, Clear Wing shot a beam of light at Blue Eyes Alternative!
" Not so fast! I banish Return of the Dragon Lords from my graveyard to negate Clear Wing's effect! You've shown me your ace, so I'll show you mine! I play the spell card Harmony Absolute and send one Blue Eyes White Dragon from my deck to the graveyard to summon Blue Eyes Absolute Dragon! Now his effect activates! He gains 300 attack for each monster in my graveyard!"
"Not if Clear Wing has anything to say about it!" But as Clear Wing activated his effect, Blue Eyes Absolute just shrugged it off! "How did you do that?"
"Blue Eyes Absolute's other effect. He's unaffected by card effects! Take down Clear Wing Synchro Dragon! Absolute Neutron Blast! Galaxy Eyes Tachyon Dragon, attack him directly!"
Burst: 7500, win Bolt Dash: lose
"Wow! You're faster than my sister and you're awesome at dueling!"
"Thanks Bolt. You had a good strategy back there too. Clear Wing has a pretty good effect too. The only thing it can't touch is xyz monsters."
"Thanks! By they way, are you Princess Twilight's coltfriend?" Upon hearing this, Twilight's face was flushed red!
"No. But a lot of mares wish I were their coltfriend!", Burst said with a chuckle. "It was nice dueling you, but I'd best head home! See ya!"
"Bye Burst!", Bolt Dash said as he waved goodbye as Twilight teleported Burst and Inferno back to her castle.
"Portal's all fixed. You two ready?". Burst and Inferno nodded as they walked into the mirror and returned to the human world.
"Come on everyone! We don't want to miss them!", Sunset said to her friends as they rushed back to CHS. "Burst and Inferno should be back any minute!" Soon there was a flash of light, and Burst and Inferno came flying out of the portal!
"WHOOAAA!", both of them screamed as they hit the ground! "Well, I don't think we stuck the landing.", Inferno groaned. "True. But at least it was an epic crash!", Burst added.
"Welcome back home you two!", Sunset said with a smile. "So, how did you enjoy Equestria?"
"We got to duel against Celestia and Luna. Inferno even tried flirting with Luna.", Burst said with a smile.
"Come on man! You know I wasn't being serious!"
"Not so funny when you're on the spot is it?"
"Well it's good to see you guys are back!", Ace said.
"Nice to see you agai...", Burst paused when he noticed Ace's eyes were dragonic. "Whoa! What happened to you? Seems like you've bonded with a powerful dragon!"
"What happened when we were gone?!", Inferno asked.
"Well, my evil brother showed up and started taking over duel parks and stealing duelists' cards! I've taken him down before, but he took a rare card I had. The Eye of Timaeus. That was the last time I saw him before today. Today I confronted him, but he soon overpowered me in a duel. Then Sonata gave me a pep-talk and I was able to reforge the bond between me and the Eye of Timaeus and was able to take back the card! Then using it I won the duel!" Burst and Inferno were in shock!
"You had an evil brother?!", Burst asked
"You have a legendary dragon now?!", Inferno asked.
"To answer both questions: yes."
"Well at least you guys weren't bored without us!", Burst said as everyone laughed and headed home. 'Man. This has been the longest day of my life.'
'How long has it been since I was defeated? Days? Months? Years? It doesn't matter! All I know is that I'm stuck like this! Ever since I was banished form Luna's body I've been nothing but a pile of magic mist! 1000 years we're stuck on the moon only to get our flanks handed to us again!', Nightmare Moon sighed to herself. 'It's days like this that I really wish that I'd never possessed Luna. Hm? What's this?' Nightmare was sensing something. An energy that was similar to the elements! Maybe even stronger! 'Power. Great power! But where is it coming from? I sense the element of magic is near it.' Nightmare drifted to the Castle of Friendship, and saw Burst Stream! ' A male alicorn? But that power doesn't feel like any thing from this world! That can only mean he's not from this world. Wherever he's from, it must lie beyond that mirror.' Nightmare watched as Burst and Inferno headed through the mirror back into the human world. 'Looks like I was right about him. He seems to have left quite the residual trace of magic behind him. I'll just help myself to some of it. It should be more than enough to restore my body during the trip through that mirror!' And with that, Nightmare Moon went through the mirror! When she arrived on the other side, she found that she had a new body to suit this world. "Huh. So this is what the inhabitants of this world look like." Soon a flash of light went off in her hand and a duel monsters deck materialized. "This that card game foals seem to enjoy.", Nightmare said as she examined her new deck. A sly smile graced her face. " Heh. This deck was definitely made with me in mind. I bet there are some duelists here who could give me a decent challenge. Well then, this world should be fun!"
