New Fic Idea · 7:25am
Hooh boy, this idea would set off the doozie Pinkie Sense.
Anyway, the first fic I've got coming up is going to take place after "In the Shadow of a Special Day", but... how should I explain this...
Okay, first we've got canon, which everypony knows. ItSoaSD is a fanfic based off of that and running parallel to two of its episodes, namely A Royal Canterlot Wedding.
Now, after ItSoaSD, consider things branching out. I intend to make this upcoming fic one branch, one that plays with fanon characters and ItSoaSD OCs and is more of an Adventure series, with some tragic, sad, and dark individual moments. I also plan to have one sequel to it, and then end that branch. The violence is upped, but not to the point where it would be a mature fic, I've read stuff just as bad in "Harry Potter"™. Oh, and the "tragic, sad, and dark" moments aren't the focus of the story, so those won't be getting tagged. I'm not sure how much Slice of Life there will be. Oh, and a certain brown earth pony with a thing for timepieces will be involved, so expect a Crossover tag.
Another branch I intend to make at a later point would be more of a Slice of Life series of short fics revolving around Luna, Celestia, various guards and canon characters (plus a few nameless pony OCs here and there running shops and whatnot). This series, unless shattered by canon at a later point which is entirely likely, may find itself paralleling S3 episodes when they roll around, if any should catch my eye like the finale did. This series will probably have a few sad-focused fics mixed in with the pure Slice of Lifes. Or is it Slice of Lives?
"Loves Shall Banish Loneliness" is a oneshot that will have no bearing on any future fics I have planned at the moment, aside from perhaps Pinkie Pie breaking the fourth wall or Doctor Whooves mentioning something about it in his ramblings. That's subject to change, but I want my little fairy tale to remain a fairy tale at the moment.
I'm all set to begin typing this next fic out, and will probably type the prologue and two chapters out to start with, followed by my habit of one chapter per day. One problem, though: I can't think of a picture to search for for this fic, let alone find one, and my drawing skills... leave something to be desired. Anypony good at that kind of stuff? I'd prefer not to give spoilers to everypony but I could abridge what's going down if somepony could help out, and give thanks where appropriate.

Thanks for the fav on Remembering the Fallen

I LOVE REMNANT and I can't believe someone as awesome as you would fav something by lowly me!
Great day was just made
Thank ya kindly for tracking What's in a Name! If you haven't already done so, I encourage you to rate and comment.
I saw your avatar and just had to say.
You're my favourite colour.
>>108432 D'awww. I'll be going, then... I have your work to read through
>>108428 Accidentally clicked watch, realized what I did, clicked unwatch. All very uneventful. I tend to make mistakes browsing this site. I actually copypasted a line from another story into Remnant once while I was editing.
Slightly disturbing... What did I ever do to you?
>>48228 That's a short story all its own. It doesn't really mean anything, it's just my online handle.
It's nerdy, nerdy origin was a nickname of mine back in high school due to my unusual M:TG deck. It was absolutely terrible, and my lack of skills at the time made it worse until I got a combo out. Armageddon, destroy all lands, all ability of every single player to bring out additional defenses, but then before I ran out of mana myself, I'd bring a card into play that gains power for every single land destroyed. It wound up that if I lucked out, I could smack someone from full life to dead with one creature.
Since we usually played with 7-8 people, that left me as a wild card, either a n00b or a powerhouse. I wound up with a nickname, Preanubis, which had two meanings. One was pre-a-n00b-is, as in so pathetic a n00b could beat me. The other was pre-Anubis, as in nearly as dangerous as a god of death.
Eventually it became just Prea (still pronounced pre-uh), naturally shortening the nickname to two syllables as is common with nicknames.
I'm not sure how -planes got stuck on there, but it had something to do with planeswalkers.
I haven't really played that game in years, but the handle and my love of that symbol I'm using have stuck. Nostalgia, maybe.
Oh, and while I'm commenting, I'm still writing chapter 4. I'm up to about 4800 words so far and still have two or three scenes to go, so it's probably going to be another doozie.
Ummm...I was just wondering...preaplanes. What does that mean? And am I right about pronouncing it pre-uh-planes?
>>45848 Don't make me mad, I might just go all Berserker Assassin Knight on you.
And no, the one before didn't count as a joke, just a reference. This one counts as a joke.
