Rain is a store's worst nightmare. Rain means fewer customers, slower days, and empty coffers. And Rarity doesn't expect the rain to bring one of the most emotional encounters she's ever had to her Boutique. (This is mostly just to try and get back into practice with details, dialogue, and conveying emotion. I've been super busy, so I'm going to try and get back in the swing of things.)

It's Nightmare Night, and Luna's getting ready to give Ponyville the best celebration of the town's history. Dark things lurk in the corners, however, and not all is as it seems.

Applejack and Pinkie Pie get into a huge fight about the better fruit, so Twilight mediates the only way she knows how: through an intellectual debate!

When Celestia summons Twilight to the palace to ask a favor, Twilight doesn't know what to expect. She doesn't expect a diplomatic mission to another kingdom, she doesn't expect to be swept up in the twisted plots of betrayal and murder of the Cervus kingdom, and she certainly doesn't expect to influence an entire nation.

"The deer are not like ponies. We are a breed that has a long memory that lives on even after death. We are a quick to change and even quicker to offend, and you would do well to remember that while you are here."

There’s one particular pony who is unaccustomed to defeat. She has never backed down, never given up, and always plowed on through adversity with a shining determination. Even when detained and questioned about her friends whereabouts and actions, Rainbow Dash remains steadfast, loyal, and never knows when to quit.

This was just a small idea I had while brainstorming. It's a story to get me back in to the creative description mode that I need to fall in to write a really really really good story.
