Chapter 3 Update · 1:32pm
So chapter 3 progresses apace as I peck away on planes, trains and coffee breaks.
Thanks to a couple of long trips, however, I've made decent progress (for me). The text is currently around 8k words, though only 1/3 of that is what I'd consider fleshed out. I'm considering splitting the chapter (again) to even things out and reduce the wait for you folks.
Naturally, the bit that is more fleshed out is towards the end of the chapter, but that's Murphy for you. So the downside is there's still a bit of a wait ahead to complete the chapter, but on the upside, there will be more chapter when it arrives.

Apology is a fun little one-shot
As for Wasp, I find it fresh, imaginative, clearly drawn and consistently well written over many chapters, so I'm just giving it due recognition.
Thanks for the 'fav' on 'Apology', it's appreciated -- and thanks for tagging 'Wasp' on this page, with some quite august company (no pressure then (gulp)!).

Thanks, I'm glad you've enjoyed the story so far.
Chapter 3 is in the polishing stage, so it's quite close. The biggest factor in its delay right now is that feedback from my pre-readers has gotten me to rethink the direction of the overall story a bit, and now I need to be sure I haven't written myself into any corners.
I just have to say how much I LOVE Just passing through. The style and way you write such vivid pictures with your words gives your story and unique and memorable feel. I just have to ask how the writers block treating you?

You're quite welcome, though it's the least I can do, compared to actually writing the piece!
Thank you so much for the Fave of To Change a Heart! I greatly appreciate it!

Kind of sort of?
I'm not lacking for ideas, and the next chapter is north of 2.8k words. It's been slowed by the links to chapter 3, where I'm struggling with a more ambitious plot than the first chapter (2 and 3 were one chapter, but I decided to split it). I know what I want to achieve, but coming up with a plausible scenario is tricky. I'm also a bit of a picky writer in general, so it can take a while to settle on phrasing I like.
I can also say RL has a bad habit of eating up free time, and I had to deal with a sectoid infestation, but those are just excuses.
