A Night to Forget · 3:22pm May 4th, 2013
This is an old one but, concerning the story taking place among the riffing group, seemed the most appropriate.
Brony, Whovian, gamer, writer, reviewer, riffer, have a beard... I guess that's pretty much it.
This is an old one but, concerning the story taking place among the riffing group, seemed the most appropriate.
And there I was, thinking that bad fiction wouldn't get into me.
After getting my own amount of personal problems, riffing is what helps me carry on. Today, I bring you one of those clopfics that are so... odd that you can't take them seriously. I know that my friend Dancer would slap the author so hard that he'd break into pieces like those shitty, cheap toys.
Well, that was painful.
I've heard several times that you must watch a movie or read a book twice. The first one because you want to watch it and shit, and the second one because, during the first time, you're all "ooooh shiny!" and from then on, you notice the details that you overlooked at first because the explosions, lasers and boobs distracted you from. Yes, I watch crazy movies.
So... I'm here. Yeah, there's quite a story to tell.
Since my last blog post I have gone through a lot of shit, but I hadn't been able to throw all this repressed anger into something productive. Punches get all bloody and you end up in jail if you throw them at random people instead of walls.
As a reviewer, it's normal to find fics that are horribly written. When I stumble upon one of those, and the story is interesting enough, I want to help them. When I'm assigned a review, I do it because it's kind of my duty. It's not a job, but I do it nonetheless. However, when I take my time to go line by line reading a fic and suffering through it, I expect at least acknowledgment. Sure, you can say "Screw you, I do what I want!". However, deleting the review is something that irks me beyond
So, yeah, I know that it's been a long time since I updated the story. I already mentioned the reason why I can't update, but this is how the fic's going for now.
I'm still writing it, having almost all of chapter 7 done, and still have enough stuff to keep it going for long. Now, due to my impossibility to contact with Pixelkitties, I'll be taking time to update. However, you'll get a huge update (probably a whole chapter or even more) if I ever get her to read or aprove the scenes.
Yes, I watched the episode. Far from being one of my personal favorites, but I still liked it.
Now, there are two ways to handle the Twicorn thingie as authors. If you want to have Unicorn Twilight, you can either:
Though Ponies of the Five Rings' new part is complete, I need Pixelkitties' thumbs up for her scene before submitting this. Sure, I know she'll love it, but etiquette and whatnot. I'll keep writing different stuff or making sure that we'll have plenty of reading by the time she says yes.
I haven't updated with a new blog post in... two months, apparently. Work, college and writing aren't helping, and I'm worried about an issue with the latter, but I hope I'll be able to solve them. Also, my internet connection is far from... constant, so to speak.
Now, updates:
Yup, I got myself a job. No, not as a lumberjack. I'd actually rather work as a blacksmith, but for now, I'm working at my father's shop (yeah, it may not sound worth crediting), Monday to Friday from 10 am to 2 pm and from 5 pm to 9 pm. Depending on how the days go, I'll try to write stuff there.
Now, after the lame excuse, updates about stuff I write:
Ponies of the Five Rings' next part is almost written, requires proofreading and it will be done
