Just saw it, and I have to say I enjoyed it. It's neither the greatest thing ever, nor the worst thing that could happen to this fandom. I really had fun watching it. The writing (without talking about the premise) is on par with the show. Twilight was very Twilight, Fluttershy was her adorable self, Pinkie was just all over the place. The other three didn't get as much to shine but weren't out of character either.

So far I've been pretty neutral concerning this MLP spin off. It might suck, it might be hillarious, but I'd always planned to give it a fair chance. After all, two years ago I'd never have imagined I could ever love a show belonging to the My Little Pony franchise. And look what happend!

So the long awaited fan-made episode was released yesterday. The animation was pretty good, but that was too be expected after all that time and work that went into it, but it was nowhere near the 100% show accurate quality they claimed before. Voice acting was good or at least nothing that registered as bad with me. The music was pretty good, I especially like the opening. The pacing was off in some places, long shots at dust clouds and faces that could have been shorter.

I'm currently reading "The Big One" a.k.a. "Fallout: Equestria - Project Horizons". It has it's up and downs (even more so than the original FOE), and I find myself speeding through most of the repeated fight scenes. But I like it a lot. I like the characters, their interactions, the setting and I think there are some interesting plot twist up ahead.

The newest episode was okay. I liked it, sure enough. It was good to see another AJ centric episode (though I do think she's close to the spotlight often enough) and the song was catchy (but not as goosebump-causing as Winter Wrap Up, At The Gala or Smile, Smile Smile for me - at least not yet). Last weekend the first European pony convention, The Galacon, took place in Stuttgart, Germany. (A well chosen place if you ask me, because the name Stuttgart derives from Stutengarten which translates as Mare Garden). I attended as an volunteer and thought I compile a little report about the event.
