It tickles me to know that one of my own stories,How Sweet It Is, has been added to the group and I love the idea of having a place to show off things I've enjoyed. I think there are many, many underappreciated fics and authors out there who deserve more attention and word of mouth is a great way to get people the views and comments they should have.

I'll be the first to admit it: I am one of those ponies who likes to read the comments on bad!fics and LOL over them

But tonight, I've seen a lot of things I've found offensive in people's comments, including the use of the N word and some casual references to rape, as well as a macro featuring a girl with down's syndrome and a "funny" caption. It makes me feel uncomfortable when I see young folk acting so disrespectful towards, well, anything so serious.

I have the occassion to take a small child trick-or-treating this year, so I wanted to have a fuuuuun costume (I usually dress up for work anywho).

I decided to dress as Surprise! :D

So next weekend, my BFF is getting married to the stallion of her dreams. Since this is a big fat nerd wedding where derpiness is not only tolerated but encouraged, I'm bringing along some toys -- Including my handmade Derpy.

Of course, no one should go to a wedding without dressing pretty and I'm not about to let Derpy go in a paperbag, so I tossed together a little outfit for her, in said BFF's wedding colors.
