So, some people might know that I keep talking about an optimalverse story, but I haven't actually posted it yet. I've been absolutely exhausted lately, and didn't want to post it until I finished writing/editing Chapter Seven, but I'm only 20,000 words in and considering posting it after Chapter Four.

So I dunno, we'll see what happens.

I'm about to start writing something new, and when I write I like to make character sheets for each of my characters. It helps me internalize them a bit better and I like that I am limited in what each is capable of. Lately I am enthralled by the roleplaying system designed by Green Ronin for A Song of Ice and Fire, so I am using that.

Chapter 2 of Pangs is finished, I just need to wait for it to be edited/proof read.

That's really all I have to say on the subject.

I know I said that chapter two of pangs would be up by Monday, in other words today, but right now it's sitting forlornly at 3,000 words.

This weekend involved me losing my job, my checking account hemorrhaging money for some reason, and our heating bill doubling from last month because magic.

So I'm a bit emotionally exhausted and occupied looking for work, but I do add a bit more, day by day, I'm really sorry for the empty promises...

Well, I've found a cover image, even if it's only temporary before I commission a better one.

I am not at all ashamed! Celestia is one of the main characters of the story, if not the second most important. I think it does a good job of illustrating her feelings about the situation in general, really.

Well, I just submitted my first story and so far it seems to be going smoothly. It's quite exciting making that leap from consumer to contributor, and I'm excited to see how far things go!

I had a lot of fun writing this first chapter, and was very pleasantly surprised by how well it was received by Tundara. I'm glad I only got one or two things wrong, considering I didn't do as much research as I thought I should have.
