The long awaited chapter 04 is finally posted. I think I'm even mostly happy with all the parts of it.

But seriously, between disappointment at my own work, writer's block, and illness, getting this together has been an uphill struggle. I'm glad I finally have something to show for it, and I hope you all enjoy it as much as the last chapter.

Well, it looks like I'm going to be letting people down. I'm going to need a little more time to even finish chapter 04, much less 05 which should have dropped this month according to my very optimistic "Two a month" schedule.

03 is going to take another week, but should be arriving next weekend for sure. It took a lot more rewriting than I'd counted on, and I'm going to need the extra week to make sure I can go over it fully.

Since 01 dropped on the 1st, I'm still technically holding to my '2 a month' schedule, and since 04 is almost good to post as-is, it should give me the time I'll need to rework 05 (which will need a lot of reworking, trust me.)

I should be on schedule to drop chapter 03 next weekend, having finished most of the fundamental rewrites from my previous draft. I've also further edited the flashback scene in the prologue, going into a bit more detail on what was happening in the Fall and smoothing things out a bit. It's quickly nearing the point where I'll actually be happy with it.

If anyone has particular comments or feelings about the changes, feel free to drop me a comment.

I've seen other people catch flack for doing this before, so I'm going to make my policy clear. I'm publishing digitally, which means that I have the power to go back and change things in a chapter after I publish it. When I realize, either from someone pointing it out or on my own, that something I've written could be done better, I will rework it.

Almost a year of wrangling this thing, and I'm finally at the point where I've started posting Eclipse Phase: Dreamcatcher. It's been a long, slow process that's involved a lot of pain, especially when my editors saw things that didn't need to exist. I think it's finally there, though.

Chapter 1 just needs one more pass of editing before I'm ready to shove it on here, with several more chapters to follow. I expect about one a month, but I'll try to be a little faster than that.
