After a mishap at your hometown, you're sent to the School of Friendship in Ponyville to finish your education. Though your time at the school is tolerable, you can not find yourself falling for the messages of harmony that both students and teachers preach. Nonetheless, your new home allows you to escape the troubles that have been plaguing your mind for the past several months.

But one day, all of that peace comes crashing down when Ponyville is suddenly attacked by an unknown magical entity. Just before you become a victim, you're suddenly overtaken by a bright light and subjected to a mysterious voice --- one that instructs you to learn about the value of friendship and hope in order to save Equestria from a growing threat.

When the light disappears, you find yourself in a new world, surrounded by ponies with little to no knowledge of the times before, but nonetheless seek to rebuild equine civilization as magic has suddenly returned. Can you find the solution to save your timeline from a looming danger, or will your lack of faith in goodness prevent you from learning how to let go of the past, and thus dooming everything and everycreature you know?

Rewrite of A Knight's Tale: Present Dangers and Past Sorrows

For over a year, novice writer Sonnet Philosophy has lived a rather mundane life in the city of Fillydelphia -- keeping mostly to himself and burying his mind in his work. One day, however, the stallion receives an unexpected opportunity from generous strangers to fix a painful decision that he had made in his past life, as well as a chance to find those who forced him to make it. But in order for him to accomplish his wish, he will be forced to give in to his inner demons and be asked to plant seeds of conflict throughout Equestria and the world.

Meanwhile, Princess Twilight Sparkle, her fellow friends, and her new student of friendship, Starlight Glimmer, are suddenly brought into conflict with a radical group of ponies who plan to bring harm upon all sentient creatures who have little to no ancestral link to Equestria.

Through their own journeys, Sonnet, Twilight, and her friends will cross paths and will find themselves placed into a conflict that has been waged for many years. The outcome of this situation, and the welfare of the entire world, will be determined upon by Sonnet's ability to retain his remaining morals, as the Princess of Friendship must do what she can to ensure that the stallion will not slip into the grasp of darkness that haunts him.

For nearly four years, Sonnet Philosophy has served as a member of Equestrian Knighthood of the Omarean Order after they saved his life. An ancient organization made up of warriors, intellects, and spies, the Omarean Order is dedicated to ensuring the safety of the general public -- paying no regard to the laws and authorities of the world's nations. Despite being a relatively new member, Sonnet has proven himself to an efficient knight when dealing with criminals and supernatural presences that threaten the safety of Equestrians.

But when a well-known terrorist group plans on capturing the bearers of the Elements of Harmony for malicious purposes, Sonnet comes to encounter a series of events that challenge him unlike he has ever been before. The enemies and dangers that Sonnet and his siblings-in-arms come to face bring a realization upon him and the Equestrian Knighthood of new evils that threaten Equestria -- the likes of which the modern world has never witnessed before.

For my own timeline, December is the first month of a new year instead of January. Most flashbacks are set between 999 A.N.D. and 1000 A.N.D. -- before Season 1.
